We stayed here for three nights in May 2025. In fact, I think the previous reviews posted here this year sum up our experience very well. While I was definitely out of my comfort zone on at least several occasions during this visit, that is probably no harm! The Tower Climb, for example! This was definitely a truly immersive jungle experience insofar as our room was open to the stars! We were awoken to the most fantastic dawn sounds of the Howler Monkeys marking the start of another day. Eerie, until you know what it is! And even then! The food was superb with fresh healthy options at every meal. Hot and Cold. We were in a group with four Hungarian doctors who were great fun. We found the Dusk Treks particularly interesting as there is so much in the jungle that reveals itself under cover of darkness such as frogs, snakes and tarantulas. We also saw Bullet Ants and the highly industrious Leaf-Cutter Ants going about their business - and several caiman. We got up at 5am on several mornings hoping to see dozens of parrots indulge in a Clay Lick but they obviously had other plans those days! We did however witness a flock of macaws munching on a clay lick as we were leaving and that was a stunning wildlife spectacle. We were so lucky to have Josmel S as our guide. He is passionate and enthusiastic about his work - and excellent at it. His ability to mimic dozens of bird species is so impressive. Above all, he was endlessly patient. We covered well in excess of 10,000 steps each day. All the Inkaterra staff we met were charming, particularly Marie, who we met while trying to photograph butterflies! Finally, a shout out for the patient barman and his exquisite Banana Monkey cocktail!
