Inkaterra Hacienda Concepcion

My girlfriend and I had such a great relaxing trip in the Amazon. But the most enjoyable part of our stay was our tours with Frank, one of the tour guides at the hotel. He was from the area and had so much knowledge on the forest and he knew how to spot the animals. it was crazy how quickly he would see a animal hiding within the trees. Frank enjoys his job and you can tell. He taught us so much and even took us on one last tour before we left for the airport. Besides his knowledge Frank is very kind and made us feel welcomed to the Amazon. He was the best!||the hotel was very nice, food was great, and there is WiFi but only in the main lodge. Power is off at night for a few hours starting at 11. There is no signal if you’re staying in one of the cabins. It does get hot but the cabin is a open concept with mesh on the windows so you get a little breeze. the cabin was a great experience and you’re very immersed in the forest. You can hear all the animals at night. We had a flock of bats staying just outside our cabin and we were able to see them wake up and fly off. ||We had a great stay and great experience. If you want to be immersed in the jungle, but not uncomfortable then this is the place for you.

I stayed 3 nights full board at Inkaterra and have to say everything was first class. The food was simply amazing, the staff very helpful and attentive, the bungalow really cool. I used DEET all the time but I never saw a mosquito in my bungalow and didn't get bitten once. Our tour guide Rene was excellent and each tour was a fantastic, informative experience. Falling asleep with all the sounds of the jungle is incredible.

Amazing stay with beautiful lodges (I stayed in the main room) and fantastic wildlife viewings during the excursion! You seem to be assigned one guide throughout your stay. We were assigned Fabio who had a very good eye with wildlife spotting. We managed to see sloths (twice), capybaras, caiman, different types of monkeys, tarantulas, bats, which surpassed our expectations! I visited in January and the excursions were in a very small comfortable group of 3-5 persons. There are only 6 rooms and most people stay in the cabanas but staying in the main lodge has its advantages as well. You get to have wifi in the room because it’s in the main house, & it’s right next to snack & drinks (iced tea and water) available at the main house after your excursions, whereas the cabanas are a 5mins walk to the main house away (very dark at night too). There is also a water dispenser available 24/7 at the eco-lodge which is right next to the main house - so don’t need to worry about buying drinking water. The lodges are also very well-litted at night compared to the cabanas, and there is ready supply of hot water (whereas guests staying the cabanas feedbacked that they don’t really have much). I enjoyed my stay very much at the lodge and would highly recommend it. Not a single fly or mosquito in the main house or rooms! The food is delicious & filling. Only the desserts could be improved. The lunch and dinner menu repeats every other day but there are 5++ options available for appetizers and main courses each, so there is sufficient variety for a short stay. Grateful to the attentive and warm service from Josephine and Fiorela at the restaurant and George our reception guy in charge of us. Guy at the bar (didn’t get his name) also delivered great service. Communication during our stay was clear & Transfer and logistics were organised & seamless. Highly recommend for Amazon first timers!

We stayed here for three nights in cabana 22, and both my husband and myself agree that this was the highlight of our amazing three week visit to Peru. The whole experience was excellent. From our pick up in Puerto Maldonado and transfer by boat to the hotel, to the delicious food and accommodation, and moreover the great guides and the quality of the excursions, everything was perfect.||Thank you to everyone at the hotel for a fabulous stay. In the restaurant, we received excellent service from Angelo and Shirley. Our guide for the three days was Fortunata and he was very knowledgeable and friendly.||The memories of our time here are very special and I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

This place totally blew us away! Everything was super well-organized, and the staff really went above and beyond to make things easy and smooth from start to finish. We were deciding between Concepción and Amazonia Refugio, and picked this lodge because we wanted something that felt closer to nature—and it absolutely delivered. The nature walks are right on the property, and sleeping in the open-air cabanas, hearing the sounds of the jungle at night, was such a cool experience. We always felt safe and comfortable. We went in the beginning of October, and the weather was perfect—not too hot, not too humid, and surprisingly few bugs! The excursions were amazing—we saw capybaras, three kinds of monkeys, a black caiman, and did the optional trip to the salt and clay licks to watch parrots and parakeets (444 soles per couple, including a great picnic breakfast on the boat). You’ll need at least four people to do it, so get to know your group early! Shoutout to Frank—our guide and total rockstar. He was so knowledgeable and could spot animals from what felt like a mile away. We learned so much from him and had such a fun time exploring. The food was delicious, the hot showers were a nice surprise, and the whole experience struck the perfect balance between rustic and comfortable. I also got a massage one afternoon with the sounds of birds all around—so peaceful. If you're looking for something unique, immersive, and really well-run, this is the place. Can’t recommend it enough!

My daughter and I spent two nights at the Inkaterra Hacienda Concepcion Hotel, via Intrepid. The Hotel is deep in the Amazon Jungle||Oh my gosh it was fantastic!!!!||We arrived at Puerto Maldonado and took a bus to the port where we caught a motorized canoe to the hotel. We stayed in our own little hut, completely enclosed in the forest which comprised of two single beds with mosquito nets, sitting area to watch the wild life, bathroom with separate toilet. The hut was open air with nets so you could hear the jungle noises throughout the day and night. At night it was amazing. We even saw monkeys, butterflies, glow flies, birds etc. from our room.|During the day we went for walks, early morning and afternoon went on a canoe ride to the Lake Sandoval. At dusk took a motorized canoe to view the nocturnal animals and went on a night jungle walk where we saw all sorts of insects.||It was absolutely amazing the only criticism I have is that we could not stay longer. This is something I will never forget

We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend it! The Cabanas are excellent rooms, and allows you to really feel immersed in the jungle. The extra space to relax and enjoy the wildlife at the end of the cabanas was lovely. We saw lots of wildlife while walking to and from the main house. The food is excellent, everything we had was delicious. You do need to pay for all drinks but there is a water refill station available so we just took our own bottles of water to meals with us. All staff were excellent, friendly and welcoming. The excursions were great, really interesting and a good variety. Our guide Leon was fantastic, very friendly and knowledgable. We paid to do the extra excursion to the Claylick to see the birds which was excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel! We had a fantastic stay!

Such a great environment. Tranquil. Quiet. Cabanas on the jungle. Privacy. Wild life all around. Birds. Snakes. Spiders. Monkeys. So many cool things. Great tours. Your days are packed. From the canopy walk to river paddles, you’re always moving, always exploring. The only negative was the lack of food. They say all inclusive but it can but up to 7-8 hours between meals and no snacks. Coffee iso my available in the morning and at certain times in the afternoon. I feel weird about complaining about this but as you can’t go anywhere else to get food you’re sort of stuck with what they offer. Had we known we would have brought snacks for ourselves.
