I can’t speak highly enough about The Inn Above Oak Creek. We were very pleased with our choice. If you’re looking for a quiet place in Sedona…this is the place. Wonderful and caring staff. Our room was comfortable with excellent amenities, decor, bedding, etc. The complimentary breakfast was great with bagels and delicious muffins. There’s always coffee available 24/7. This is a true Inn. If you want valet parking and a hotel gym, keep scrolling. If you want a quaint place overlooking the river with nice people, book your stay here. Location is pretty good as well. Very Happy and will return again.

Absolutely loved staying here! Close enough to restaurants and shops but secluded enough to be quiet and peaceful. Super friendly and accommodating staff. Comfy beds and the room we had was a jacuzzi tub. Complementary tea, coffee, Cocoa with a small continental breakfast. Beautiful views of the creek which you can swim in if you so choose. Loved every part of our stay!

Our stay at the Inn Above Oak Creek was so nice — we only got to stay for a night, but the night manager when we came in was extremely accommodating and kind. The views when we woke up to have our breakfast were gorgeous, and the hotel is located close to the town of Sedona proper. I would recommend!

Our experience at the end above Oak Creek was beyond amazing. I don’t say that lightly. We were greeted by Rich who couldn’t do enough to help us get settled in even as far as carrying our suitcases up the stairs. The room was cozy and comfortable, and the fireplace added beyond the top ambience. Kimberly was just as kind and nice as Rich. She helped us with Reservations as well as showing us a back way to cathedral rock so we didn’t have to stay in traffic for hours. All in all the experience was beyond our expectations and I can’t wait to go back and tell all my friends about it.

This was a lovely inn situated away from the main drag of tourist traffic. (All of Sedona is filled with tourist traffic but this was at least a little less congested than the uptown area.) Easy walking distance to restaurants and Tlaquepaque Arts and Shopping Village. Nice options for light breakfast with a help-yourself-to-whatever-you-need-in-the-kitchen vibe. Enjoyed sipping wine on our little balcony overlooking Oak Creek. Rooms were comfortable and cozy. Beautifully maintained property.

We spent two nights in Sedona at the Inn Above Oak Creek in the Creekside Suite. This over-the-top, elegant and comfortable suite with a washer dryer was just what we needed after a few days at the Grand Canyon! This two-level suite includes a full kitchen, open living / dining area, and 2 bedrooms & bathrooms, with a huge master ensuite bath! It could easily accommodate a family or possibly two couples. Multiple windows and 2 porches provide relaxing views of the creek and woods. The walk-in closet is a plus as well. While the Inn was apparently full, we felt secluded the entire stay. Having a Kuerig and ample coffee supplies is especially nice! The Inn provides a continental breakfast each morning, too. We didn't take advantage of the chef's kitchen, but it definitely provides space for preparing a gourmet meal! Considering the size of the suite, I'm amazed the cost isn't twice as much! i highly recommend anyone planning a lengthy visit to Sedona to stay at the Inn Above Oak Creek!

My husband and I celebrated our 5th Wedding Anniversary in the Suite at Inn Above Oak Creek. We were welcomed with a Bottle of Wine and Anniversary card which was an added bonus. We loved everything about the stay. The great views, the gorgeous Suite and the convenience of your own in-room spa and jetted tub. I felt like we were in a treehouse with all of the open windows and balconies. The location was perfect and in the center of everywhere we wanted to go. The creek on the property is a great place to relax and my husband even did a little fishing. Kimberly was a great host and provided the best homemade muffins in the mornings and cookies in the afternoon. Would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I stayed here for one night while we were in Sedona, heading up to the Grand Canyon. This hotel is so nice we practically considered canceling the rest of our trip and just staying here. This hotel is the finest I have ever stayed in. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are well appointed at modern, and everything is so clean. The service was outstanding. They have a continental breakfast in the morning that is high-quality and very nice. You just cannot go wrong staying here. It just doesn’t get better than this. btw, the pic was from our room balcony!

Yelp
My husband and I came to Sedona over Valentine's weekend with 0 plans and nowhere to stay. Very risky of us, I know. As we're cruising down the main street we passed The Inn Above Oak Creek and noticed they had a lit-up vacancy sign. We immediately went in and met with the inn keeper who offered to let us go see the room before we committed to booking. This is THE cutest little 13 room inn set right on Oak Creek. There is seating down by the creek, on the patio off the main room, and inside the main room itself that all have great views. Our room was very spacious with a 2-person sized bathtub and a fireplace! It had truly the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in away from home. My husband was obsessed and wanting to know how we could copy it to have at home. Both of the inn managers were so kind and took such good care of us. You could feel how much they care for the inn and value their guests. There's always coffee and water set out. They have homemade cookies in the afternoon and homemade muffins in the morning. They have a bookshelf with various options for reading and a large selection of movies. On the coffee table, they have binders full of recommendations for trails and exploring the area. It was such a cute and intimate place to stay. I'd recommend it to anyone traveling to Sedona and I'd love to stay here again! We truly couldn't have found a better place to stay for Valentine's Day. We felt so lucky to have gotten a room here.

Yelp
I am late to the party! We found this hotel on Yelp and stayed here for a Road Trip in 2023. The customer service was amazing!! The beds were very comfortable and the outdoor space and hiking was great. Sedona was so packed so it was getting a hotel a little out of the way that you can still walk to restaurants and hike. We are looking to go again in a few months.

Mary H.

Yelp
Really amazing experience! The room came with a jet tub, a little deck, and an overall home-y quality, that mellows you out. Would stay here again in a heart beat!

Pamela C.

Yelp
Such a gorgeous hideaway, right on the creek. Having coffee each morning on the creek with all the lush greenery and beautiful plants was like a dream. If you need a place to regain your peace and completely recharge, this is it. The decor is perfectly eclectic and beyond comfortable. The staff was so friendly and helpful and felt like part of the family. We will definitely be back. Thank you for such a perfect experience.

Yelp
We were a late check-in on Sept 2 Saturday night however wish we waited until day. We did not know it was monsoon season as we were told be a local resident. Mention this because we left Williams, Arizona almost close to 6 pm. Halfway to Sedona started to rain & road leading to town was dark, had zero visibility, lightning. We arrived close to 730 pm. Dont recommend driving at night when it is raining. To make matters more worse was parking and walking across the bridge our shoes got soaked. Because we were a late check-in keys were in the box. Room was beautiful. Bottle of wine & card in our room for our anniversary. No fridge in room however their is a guest fridge. When went to bed to exhausted & not driving out for dinner.. woke up to beautiful scenery. Continental breakfast served. Maybe in future they would consider hot breakfast. We woke up hungry and we had to drive out for breakfast. Most places required a wait. Surroundings of property were beautiful. Highly recommend.

Yelp
The Inn Above Oak Creek is where we stayed while in Sedona. We had a wonderful time and the Inn went above our expectations. This Inn is away from the main shopping district and is situated along Oak Creek. If you're lucky to score one of their Creekside suites, I would recommend it. The views are serene and the rooms are relatively quiet. The Inn is limited to 13 suites and they book quickly. It's advisable to book your room at least 3 months in advance to get your desired date(s) and room. We booked ours a month and a half and were limited to their smallest room which is Creekside #2. Although Creekside #2 was scaled down and our bed was a queen vs a king, it had everything we need. It was complete with a TV, closet, a sitting area, A/C, gas fireplace, jetted tub and balcony. Space wasn't a priority for us since we spent most of the time going out and exploring the city. Free Wi-Fi, onsite parking and breakfast was included in our stay. Past reviews mentioned the continental breakfast with coffee and teas but our recent visit had Sausage Eggwiches in their community fridge which was a nice diversion from your standard bagels and pastries. I will say though their bagels in addition to their house made muffins are tasty and worth trying. Like most boutique hotels, the Inn has a few standout features like their community porch. The large porch not only faces the creek but has good views of Sedona's Red rock landscape. It was a tranquil place to hang out and have breakfast with a view. The porch is also bird friendly. Ben and I saw various birds come by and feed on corn. We even caught a hummingbird while outside. The vibes are so relaxed and I've had some of my best nights sleep here. I highly recommend the Inn Above Oak Creek while visiting Sedona. It's a calm and relaxing space perfect for vacationing.

Yelp
We stayed in the Suite and it was amazing. The inn keeper was wonderful. The accommodations were super clean and comfortable with two balconies and a huge kitchen plus 2 full baths and laundry. The grounds are made for relaxing and the views down the creek superb. Location was also perfect for Sedona. I can't wait to return!

Kendra M.

Yelp
LOVE LOVE this place. Kim and Rick were so nice. It is exactly as they say... an Inn. Had Creek #5 and it did not disappoint. Comfy king bed, fireplace, 2 person jet tub, balcony overlooking the creek. Kim makes muffins and cookies from scratch; she uses her own recipes! We were able to sit by the creek, have a picnic and jump in! Will definitely come back. I'd recommend this place for couples and solo travelers. Would not recommend for groups or kiddos.

Clara D.

Yelp
Beautiful clean room. Great service. Continental breakfast was good. Rich at front desk was very helpful.

Neil S.

Yelp
Great place to stay in Sedona. Our room was upstairs (no elevator) and facing Oak Creek. The backyard is picturesque, the room was clean and spacious, and the inn personnel friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was minimal (bagels and muffins, fruit) but the homemade granola was fantastic. The afternoon homemade cookies were also great. We plan to stay there again on our next Sedona trip.

David K.

Yelp
This place had quiet rooms with spectacular views and a down-home self-service kitchen with snacks. It's all the little things that make this inn quite peaceful and excellent.

Kimi H.

Yelp
Great location, walkable to shops and restaurants. The view of the creek was beautiful and the staff was so friendly and helpful.

Yelp
So I actually haven't been to this place since my honeymoon in 2015 and It hit me here in 2024 that I never wrote a review but I find myself thinking about this place and our experience ALL THE TIME. I imagine a few things probably changed since then but this sweet inn holds a special place in my heart and they deserve all the stars and recognition. They went above and beyond to make sure our experience was magical. We were assisted with planning our excursions, given complimentary cookies (do they still do that?!), greeted with a smile every time we walked in. I remember feeling very comfortable and at home here. I think we need to visit again. I'll take my need to write a review as a sign that it is time to return. Perhaps our ten year anniversary next year!

Yelp
We booked here two years ago for our first stay in Sedona ~ loved it so much we booked again and stayed for 3 nights in Creekside #2. This room is on the lower level and slightly smaller but oh so quaint with a queen bed; bathroom with single person jet tub; small nook with a chair/side table; gas fireplace; ceiling fan/decorative paneled ceiling; and a balcony with small table and two chairs overlooking the creek with views of red rocks to the right. It was so clean, cozy, and quiet. The lobby is comfortable with plenty of seating and there is a large outdoor deck with table/chairs and potted plants to enjoy your morning coffee or to eat. The grounds are beautiful - you can go down and sit by the creek or lounge in an oversized hammock and enjoy the scenery. The location is great - right across the street from Hillside Sedona which houses Dellepiane; Javelina Cantina; and The Hudson along with some shops and also walking distance to Tlaquepaque Art & Shopping Village with additional restaurants, beautiful galleries, and unique stores. Since there is still no daily service due to Covid, there is a hall closet stocked with additional towels, toilet paper, soap, and toiletries so you may get what you need. Looking forward to staying again when we visit!

Yelp
Had such a great stay here while visiting Sedona. Kim checked me in and was very helpful. Room was gorgeous! Loved the fireplace and used it a lot since I was staying here in January and it was cold outside. Downsides of this property is that there is nobody at the front desk 24/7. There is also no telephone/land-line in the room. So I had concerns about security and safety. The room overlooked the water and has a balcony. Loved the free cookies and muffins in the morning! I see some people complaining about the lack of a restaurant but there are so many restaurants within walking distance that it wasnt an issue at all.

Diann U.

Yelp
I had a great experience staying at this Inn. So cozy ! Love how they had the welcoming wine bottle in the rooms. This Inn is walking distance to Tlaquepaque and restaurants / stores. Its so awesome how you can use the kitchen and cook your own food or what not. They have hot water downstairs in the lobby and tea bags. They also serve snacks, fruits and coffee and juice for breakfast as well. The downside on my end was I didnt get to take photos of the hotel room and the outdoors by the lake. I was just too caught up with spending quality time with the family. I would definitely book here again when I am in Sedona.

Yelp
My partner and I visited this charming place in summer of 2021. It was so amazing and magical! The jacuzzi tub overlooking the creek and balcony were a dream. The room was so comfortable and staff was so warm and friendly. I also loved the community fridge where you can store restaurant left overs or other food items. The complimentary coffee, tea, bagels and fruit were perfect in the morning. I could not have been happier with the experience. It is one I will always treasure.

Trisha W.

Yelp
100% highly recommend the inn above oak creek! We stayed at one of the mid level rooms and it was splendid. It was about $209 per night. Looked out to the main road which currently has construction so it was a bit loud in the day time but perfectly silent at night. There was a sky light in our room so we were up at the crack of Dawn, but that's an easy fix with a sleeping eye mask. Location is perfect, walking distance to all the restaurants, shops and hikes! The marges hike was fabulous, easy and pristine basically across the street. I was scared to cross because there wasn't a nearby cross walk but the cars actually stop for you and it was very safe! Kim was super helpful and knowledgeable. She was welcoming and warm. She recommended the hike and javalinas Mexican restaurant. Both were excellent. We even walked to hide away house for dinner on our last night. Super convenient location. I loved the fireplace and jacuzzi bath tub with jets. The king size bed was comfortable. Everything was so fresh and clean, more so than any hotel. Glad we found this gem. Also has a nice bbq out back and a cute swing by the creek. Really peaceful. Nice deck outside to have breakfast. Breakfast is basic but includes some bagels, granola bars, apples and bananas, Keurig offerings, tea, and yogurt. There is a refrigerator and microwave available for guests. Overall fantastic snd couldn't recommend more. I would totally stay in room number 10 again as it was... a perfect 10!

Yelp
If you are considering this Inn for your stay in Sedona, BOOK IT! I literally cannot say enough good things about our experience, but here are the highlights: -The location is amazing! Walk to lots of shopping, art galleries and great restaurants, but also enjoy the beauty and serenity of the creek. -The management and staff are so friendly, helpful and accommodating- they even helped us track down a hotdog shop when we had a craving for chili dogs! -The rooms are lovely. Clean, very well appointed, beautifully decorated and super cozy. We stayed in #9- it smelled like fresh flowers and had the best jacuzzi tub ever, plus a fireplace. We adored it. -The breakfast is so yummy and really generous- it was a great way to get a quick start on the day. And the home baked breads were so good! Plus coffee, tea and fruit all day?! Awesome. I've already recommended this place to several friends and family who are traveling to Sedona, and we will 100% stay there again next time we visit.

Audrey M.

Yelp
Definitely would stay again. Room 3 a lil small, but perfect for a couple, soo cute and sooo clean!!! The lil balcony nice to open door and hear thw water, or sit and have coffee and muffin, then ifnyour cold a flick of a switch turn on the fireplace a bonus for me, comfy bed nice lil breakfast, close walking distance around town, just all very nice. Will continue to recommend and look it up when i come back to Sedona

Diane W.

Yelp
Everything about this inn was wonderful! My only note to disabled travelers, is to make sure to book a downstairs room, and be aware that the marble tub is very difficult to get in and out of without assistance.

Matthew C.

Yelp
Everything about this place was great. The views of the creek and of the surrounding mountains were incredible out of our room window and private balcony. They called us to let us know our room was ready and let us know the procedures to check in later. The room was well equipped and very comfortable. The entry area had a very cozy feel as well as the other outdoor areas they had. The offerings for a light breakfast were perfect after a morning hike. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Sedona.

Luna H.

Yelp
This hotel is super cute and romantic. Although our room was on the smaller side, it was the perfect for the two of us. The continental breakfast offered a variety of baked goods, sweets, fruit and coffee and tea. With the options of eating indoor or outside on the back patio, we had the opportunity to experience both. Indoors was very homey and outdoors was quint. The shared refrigerator was a bonus to allow us to keep leftovers. This hotel thought about everything. It's also conveniently located by restaurants and hiking trails. I'll definitely return in the future.

Kimmy T.

Yelp
This is the absolute Perfect location for a romantic getaway to Sedona. My husband and I booked last minute and all the nice hotels were booked and actually I only found the Inn on Oak Creek due to a Trip Advisor search - all the travel sites listed them as sold out BUT when I checked their website, the smallest room was still available (YAY!) We are young and well traveled in Europe so the warnings of "small" hotel room didn't phase us at all... I am so happy to report that room is gorgeous and has everything one could need including literally the most comfortable bed EVER! The room was not really too much smaller than an average hotel room, it's just the Inn on Oak Creek primarily has suites so it seems small. But it's so worth it! The breakfast of scones, muffins, fruit, yogurt, coffee and juices was SUCH a great asset as are the amazing views from the deck and most rooms! The friendly guys that operate this wonderful place have an amazing design eye and knack for cozy goodness. We went in May but I can imagine how wonderfully cozy the main lounge would be at Christmas. Over our 2 night stay we went to the Grand Canyon (a full day) so we didn't get to lay around the inn too much but definitely enjoyed the grounds and breakfasts daily. We would absolutely return! Highly recommended!

Jean W.

Yelp
This Inn is Exceptional in every way! Upon our arrival we were greeted by Rich, who was so very welcoming and also the smell of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies that they serve every afternoon. Our room was so clean and beautiful. We stayed 4 nights in Creekside King Room #1 and our balcony overlooked the beautiful creek. It was so peaceful and serene and We had a view of the red rocks as well. The King bed was exceptionally comfortable. This inn has everything you could ask for including a wonderful continental breakfast each morning that you can enjoy on the outside deck or inside with plenty of windows. As you dine you can watch the many different types of birds visiting the bird feeders. Rich and Kimberly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. There is access to the community Kitchen fridge to store drinks and food if you wish. The location of the inn is just perfect, away from the busy uptown area but close to enough to everything. The Inn Above Oak Creek made our trip to Sedona extra special. Wouldn't stay anywhere else and can not wait to go back again. You will not be disappointed if you stay at the Inn Above Oak Creek.

John Joseph R.

Yelp
The view from our room was spectacular, that in it self says it all Plenty of restaurants within walking distance Seating down by the Creek is very special Very comfortable rooms that include a socking spa tub Just breathtaking Their friendly Provide a nice little breakfast We were very impressed

Yelp
Looking for a romantic getaway in Sedona? Start at the Inn on Oak Creek. Located on the bank of Oak Creek that runs through Sedona, The Inn on Oak Creek is true to its name, every room in this quaint inn has a view of Oak Creek. In addition to the view of Oak Creek, the corner rooms also have a view of the Arizona hills that are so famous for its spectacular sunsets. This intimate inn takes the romantic feel of a bed and breakfast and combines it with the professional feel of a well-run hotel to give their guests a truly enjoyable lodging experience. A continental breakfast is served every morning. Various flavors of Keurig coffee are available in the lobby 24hrs a day. There is also an assortment of teas and fruits in the kitchen along with a refrigerator that is available for guest use. In case, you are wondering what to do in Sedona, there is also an extensive library of travel and hiking books targeting the Sedona and Arizona area. After a long day on the hiking trails or shopping in uptown Sedona, you can go back to your room relax in the Jacuzzi tub and then enjoy one of the movies in the inn's DVD collection. The décor inside and out is elegant, well maintained and tastefully up to date. This has to be the most enjoyable hotel I've stayed at. Next time? I would not stay anywhere else in Sedona.

Michael S.

Yelp
Excellent location! Walking distance to the art village and downtown Sedona. No longer serving a full breakfast, but coffee, juice, pastries and cereal is a good way to start the day. The mattress was comfortable and we enjoyed the jacuzzi.

Kris L.

Yelp
Our stay was good but not amazing. Stayed for 3 nights in 3/2014. PROS: -The continental breakfast is generous with bagels, pastries, oatmeal, and juice! -The rooms are all well decorated and clean. -The toiletries in the bathroom have a separate shampoo and conditioner. -The beds are super comfortable and the towels in the bathroom are very soft! -Free parking lot with plenty of spaces -A gorgeous gorgeous view of oak creek! -Coffee all day available in the lobby -Good prices! -Spencer himself is a major pro of this hotel. He recommends hikes and patiently answers any questions you might have! A great and friendly welcome! CONS -The rooms were cold as Sedona in march is 40s at night and 60s during the day. They didn't turn the central heat on and we were all frankly miserable and frozen. When we requested the heat to be turned on, Chris was full of excuses (it's difficult to time the heat with the sun setting, sedona temperature is fickle, etc). The bottom line is that your tenants should not freeze on vacation! Amazingly, the following night, he STILL did not turn on the heat until another couple complained...and he gave them the same speech! Ridiculous. You would think they would remedy it and turn on the heat before everyone froze. Then yet AGAIN the next night, he also didn't turn on the heat until someone complained. The low that night was 40F. -The wifi worked about 50% of the time, depending which room you have and it is sloooooow. I actually turned my wifi OFF on my phone bc it was slowing it down. If you are reliant on wifi to do work, do NOT depend on the wifi here. Other couples we met were having similar problems. -There's no front desk as this is not a traditional hotel. We couldn't find anyone after 5pm to help us with the above issues! It turns out Chris lives next to the office. It's just a bit odd to knock on someone's front door. As a normal person with normal manners, it feels uncomfortable and a bit rude. I wish they had a better contact point, like a hotel's front desk. Overall a pleasant visit but this place is definitely still working out some kinks!

Anna R.

Yelp
This place is stunning. The rooms are absolutely adorable; there are fire places (perfect for fall and winter), a whirlpool tub, and the views are incredible. I can see the mountains and the creek from my room. This is easily the most romantic place I've ever stayed. It is close to amazing restaurants, and Tlaquepague which is an adorable shopping center as well. All within walking distance. I am easily coming back. This was by far the best place I've ever stayed that's super romantic

Sara T.

Yelp
We spent our "babymoon" in Sedona and were so glad we found the Inn Above Oak Creek. Our stay was absolutely perfect. If you get the chance, stay in room 12! The views are spectacular from inside the room (large windows!) or from the balcony. The bed was very comfortable, and breakfast was great. We enjoyed sitting on the main level deck, eating breakfast and watching the birds before going hiking every day. We couldn't have been happier with our stay. Just as a heads up - the area across from the creek hosts weddings, so there were two nights where the music was pretty loud. However, the city ordinance is 10 p.m. every night of the week, so that helped. It was definitely not the hotel's fault, and still well worth the 5 stars!

Jeff B.

Yelp
First time at Inn on Oak Creek. First, the rates are much lower than other local hotels. Host greeted us at the door and gave us a quick walk around. Nice lodge-looking place. Room #2 was quaint, with balcony overhanging Oak Creek which was brimming with ducks. At one point we counted 60 ducks. The view from the balcony was gorgeous. There are red rocks in the distance, aspen and sycamore trees shading the area, bunnies and swifts during the day and bats at night. The room featured a queen bed, fireplace, jacuzzi bathtub and a table/chair set. The ceiling fan had a remote control. The TV went ignored but was available. Although they didn't serve breakfast, there was an assortment of bagels and pastries, plus fruit. There was a kuereg and OJ as well. The location was key for us. Right on state route 179, close enough to Tlacapaque, Upper Sedona and a couple of restaurants was perfect for us. Although we never got the host's name, he was helpful in recommending sights, restaurants and shopping. When we went hiking, he provided us with a monthly pass which saved us $10 - nice touch. The next time we are in Sedona, we will be sure to stay at the Inn on Oak Creek.

Yelp
Perfect quaint 12 room Sedona inn! This is a cozy and charming home away from home. Amberli is a gem- welcoming us into this beautiful inn by calling 2 hours before check in to advise the room is ready and help if we need late check in. We arrived around 3pm and had a nice greeting and check in with a kitchen and room tour. Amberli shared with us who to call on site if anything is needed, where to find ice or breakfast, how to work the fan, fireplace and jet tub in the room. She offered dining tips and I overheard her sharing hiking info with other guests. We decided to book a second night shortly after arrival so we were able to stay in rooms 7 and 5 giving us a range of a red rock room or a creekside. Both rooms were very comfortable though the red rock is a better value with same amenities. Parking is super easy with a loading area near the front and a small path to the private lot. Coffee and tea were available 24/7. The bed was pretty soft but comfortable pillows. The sink is in the room though no bother to us. The only small criticisms I would have is room 5 did not have a nightstand both sides of the bed and the light on the AC was very bright. The room was very quiet and comfortable overall. This inn is walking distance to the hillside shopping center and tlaquapaque. Such a find!!

Angela W.

Yelp
Inn Above Oak Creek is just why it's name that way. The hotel overlooks a creek. It's considered one of Sedona's best hotels. I booked over a month in advance and was lucky to get the bonus room, the cheapest room. It's still very fancy but without a desk and chair. There's a shared frige and microwave in the kitchen. As elegant as this place is, my only gripe is all the doors are locked by 6:00 pm because there's no staff. This means check ins are no later than 6:00 pm or let them know.

Bridanya E.

Yelp
This inn is so beautiful right there on the river. Of all the places I've ever worked it was by far the most beautiful! All the best to you guys

Christopher R.

Yelp
My wife and I just spent three days at the Inn Above Oak Creek. Beautiful property, great location, just a really cozy, and homey feel. Everyone on the property was friendly and helpful, especially the manager Kim, who lives on site. Any problem, she will take care of it, and she is great at communicating and touching base if needed. We will definitely be back to the Inn Above Oak Creek! Chris R.

Yelp
I found this page on Yelp and am so glad I did. It was the perfect place to spend our anniversary weekend. It's on the banks of Oak Creek just south of Tlaquepaque and Uptown Sedona. You could walk to everything if so inclined. Kim could not have been more pleasant and helpful. The main "living room" has a fire place, two sofas, three small dining tables, Kuerig machines, daily continental breakfast, and a balcony with tables looking over the creek. It's like staying at a friend's house who has everything you could possibly want. The room had plenty of space, a fireplace, a small closet, and a full sizes bathroom with jacuzzi tub. There's a linen closet in the hallway and a fridge in the main kitchen where you can store your leftovers or wine/beer. I just read that The Inn Above Oak Creek has won "Most Romantic Bargain Lodge" two years in a row by Trip Advisor. It's a great place and we hope to come back.

Yelp
When you check into a hotel in a very popular tourist destination you expect an 'OK' from almost everyplace. This spot is way above that. Spence and the folks in his team deserve many high marks for doing everything they can in making the guests feel comfortable and at home. If you're in the area, don't pass up this Inn.

Yelp
This hotel has no available person onsite. They leave you a note with directions on how to enter. We were in Rm#8, which supposedly has views? Maybe of the roof next door and the traffic on the road outside! They stick a gigantic king size bed with a massive woodframe, a mere 6 inches away from the fireplace. I am by no means a big person and can't tell you how many freaking times i hit my knee on that darn passageway. Not good at all. Definitely not recommending this place at all. We left a day early and lost $$ on what was supposed to be another night stay. So not worth $250/night

Yelp
This was a great place to stay. We stayed in the 2 story suite and it was huge! 2 balconies, 2 bathrooms, a huge kitchen that could seat 10 people just around the island. It over looked the creek. It was nice to enjoy the balcony and creek while it was raining, which it did every day we were there. It's very close to many restaurants. Also very close to many hiking spots. Two things I would mention that weren't big deals, but just pointing them out: since it was by the creek, there were bugs in the sweet. And also, the towels are way too small!

Yelp
Our first and ONLY place we'll stay in Sedona! The location was perfect, a beautiful setting, especially outdoors for breakfast overlooking the creek with views of the red rock in the distance. The room was everything we could want for a two-night stay complete with fireplace, jet tub, and good air conditioning. It was all very well-kept. Phenomenal value for the price. Although there's not hot breakfast since this isn't quite a B&B, the continental breakfast was perfectly fine and helped us start our day. The inn keepers (Jenny and Juaquita?) were warm, attentive, and helpful recommending great Mexican food in the area (Elote). We'll be back.

Yelp
I'm not sure I can give this place enough plaudits! Checkin was super easy and informative. The rooms are exactly what you want for a romantic stay (it was our 20th anniversary). Location is perfect. Close enough to everything you'd want to do and see, but not crowded with hoards of people. The creek is beautiful. We had drinks by it every night. We will DEFINITELY return. If you're coming to Sedona, stay here.

Yelp
Absolutely the best place I have ever stayed in Sedona. I had some initial concerns when I saw the size of the room online, but after checking in getting the full experience, My tube quickly changed. My girlfriend and I spent one night in the bonus room which was adequately priced at $100 for a Saturday night on a holiday weekend. When we arrived, we were greeted by the girl at the front desk who was incredibly welcoming and accommodating to our needs. She invited us to sit on the porch and wait for our room to be ready. The room itself was quite small, but couldn't have been nicer and that was to be expected. The view on the porch and behind the hotel is absolutely gorgeous and you are able to walk down right to the creek while on their grounds. Bottom line: stay here. You won't be upset

Yelp
Found this place on Yelp. It was everything the reviews said it was. The place was nice and the staff was friendly.

Yelp
Absolutely perfect place to stay! This is not like any old hotel. You feel like you are being welcomed in by family or friends. The room was fantastic, clean and cozy with some very nice personal touches. The balcony with flowers and bird feeders was a wonderfully relaxing way to spend the morning looking over the creek with the mountains in the background.

Yelp
Just returned home after spending two lovely nights at this wonderful inn. We were in creekside room 12. It was perfect--spacious, beautifully decorated and gorgeous view of Oak Creek and the red rocks in the distance. The accommodations were lovely in every way and we would love to return some day. They offered a very nice continental breakfast in the morning and the Keurig was ready along with fresh fruit (apples, bananas, oranges) if you had to dash before breakfast was served at 7:30. We loved sitting creekside with a glass of wine at night. Shops, restaurants and markets are close by. You won't be disappointed if this is your vacation "home away from home." Photos is room 12 and the balcony view are attached.

Yelp
Delightful place. Stayed in Room #1 (I think it is called the King Room?) on the downstairs level. The room is cozy, quiet, with a gas fireplace, jetted tub, small seating area inside, and a small balcony with a table and two chairs. The view from that balcony was beautiful, overlooking Oak Creek and lined with trees (see pictures). There is also an outdoor area by the creek with chairs and tables for guests to enjoy. The bathroom was small, but super clean and well appointed with all you could need (see pictures again). The evening we were there, it snowed a lot and we just grabbed food from a market and came back to the inn. Kimberly the innkeeper was so kind and let us use everything we needed in the kitchen (microwave, dishes, utensils, paper towels, napkins, glassware...) to set up dinner in the dining/breakfast area just outside our room. When I tried to wash the dishes, Kimberly insisted that I leave it for her to clean up - so kind! When we went to leave in the morning, walkways were shoveled/being shoveled, as was the parking area. There were also morning snacks and coffee/tea. I would happily recommend this place to anyone.

Yelp
Very nice place with a homey feel. Our room which overlooked the creek, it was quiet and clean. Although it was pretty small, it was indeed comfy. Nice whirlpool bathtub, free continental breakfast, and Jenny (the manager, I believe) was chill, friendly, accommodating, helpful in suggesting places for my wife and me to visit, and made us feel welcome. The location offers easy access to many restaurants, shops and attractions. The vortexes are easy to reach by car (no, I didn't feel a thing after visiting four of them - still unenlightened). But the hikes are wonderful, particularly Boynton Canyon. And, as it was our anniversary, Jenny (I assume it was she) left us a wonderful note and special gift. Little touches like that separate smaller, more personal inns like this from this chains that, for reasons we'll never understand, remain popular.
