My husband and I loved this hotel! It was very luxurious and romantic. We were in the Deluxe King. Spacious and very clean. The decor was nice. I loved the fireplace! The hotel is in great walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shops and even the zoo! The restaurant, Hemlock, in the hotel was very nice. My husband and I ordered a delicious dessert. The hotel staff was great - very courteous and helpful. Definitely recommend this hotel if staying in downtown Boise!

Beautiful hotel. Parking is 100 percent valet. Valet attendant was absolutely amazing, but I didn't get the hype in reviews about the great staff . Other than valet, I didn't experience that at all. Love the room butler for room service. The location is great. Wonderful amenities . Was told Expedia doesn't pass down the type of view you booked. Staff tried to give another room, but it was worse. Disappointing

I stayed here for a concert at Albertsons Stadium. It was perfectly located for nearby food but also in walking distance to the stadium. They offer a complimentary drink upon arrival. This was thoughtful. The room was super clean and I loved the bathroom. I will stay here again. Valet is a must so plan ahead.

Beautifully renovated boutique hotel close to downtown, staff were very welcoming and eager to help, and the complimentary snacks and drinks were a plus! Room was great, however the only slight negative was booking a “park view” which was more the roof of an adjacent building and a car park. I suspect the better views would come with a room facing the city & mountains.

I was happy with the hotel rooms and location. Unfortunately, the front desk staff seemed put out every time I needed to ask a question, if I could even find them. Often, there was no one at the front desk. Additionally, the valet was very hard to find. It seemed like there was only one valet, and he was running cars and the shuttle, so he was often not around. This would have been fine since I borrowed bikes the majority of the time- which was a great perk- but they require valet parking- and it kind of makes you feel trapped. Overall, there were several other boutique hotels that I would recommend trying in Boise.

Good and bad. Excellent location adjacent to Kathryn Albertson Park, Zoo Boise, and downtown culture but loud road noise. Premier King room on the north corner had two terraces and a nice view but it looked over a busy traffic corner. I live in this region so super loud motorcycles, backfiring sports cars, and modified diesel trucks are not uncommon but you expect a hotel in downtown to have better insulation. Late into the night and early in the morning there was seemingly non-stop noise. More good and bad. The room itself was clean and comfy but could not keep up with the outside temperature. We kept the curtains closed and the terrace doors closed but the air conditioner could not keep up. They kept the filter door hanging open to allow more air flow presumably but it was clear that changing the filter might have worked better. With an exterior temperature of 91 in June, the temp inside the room was pretty warm until around 3am. Along with the noise, it was difficult to sleep. The staff were great and there was complimentary snacks like bags of chips and cans of soda but other than that, the amenities were sparse. The website lists a "full American breakfast" and "breakfast in restaurant" but only in the FAQ do you find that it's not complimentary. There was supposedly high speed wifi but I could not get it to work. My combination of last name and room number wasn't recognized but I didn't mind because I was able to use my cell as a hot spot. I know I mentioned a few downsides but overall the hotel was nice, artfully decorated, comfortably furnished, and clean. If I did ever stay there again, I would go with the south corner this time. Less of a view but hopefully less road noise. And I probably would not bring children. I know it's trivial but a complimentary breakfast is helpful for parents. The in-restaurant food was a bit pricey (ex. $14 for just Greek yogurt, fruit, and granola) and almost all of the other local options are coffee shops with coffee shop breakfast foods. One cheap recommendation I would make is to provide floor fans for both white noise and air flow. Adding a microwave and a microwaveable food pantry in a central area would also be great. Overall, it's a good hotel, but not for me.

Staff was overwhelmed with the fully booked hotel due to a local event. No sign of management to help the situation and not prepared. Waited 45 minutes over published check in time along with a lobby of standing room only other guests that were there before me. Once I was able to check-in, the room was amazing, modern and spacious.||Dinner at Hemlocks was a disappointment. Flovorless and thin cut of rib eye. Only ate 1/4 of my meal and ordered a shrimp cocktail. The wine was nice. Hotel 43 and Chandlers is much better when in Boise. I have stayed at their Naples, Fl property Inn on 5th so I know what they are aiming for but they are miles away at the moment.

Google
The inn at 500 is truly an amazing experience. We've been 3 times in 4 years and it has never disappointed. From the respectful, friendly and courteous staff to the ridiculously comfortable beds I would recommend the inn to ANYONE staying in downtown Boise. If you wish for a memorable experience, book the celebration suite. It has a shower the size of a bedroom!

Yelp
Super friendly staff, comfortable rooms, conveniently located. This place has it all. I'm sorry to see Richard's gone, hoping the new steak house will be ok.

Yelp
I travel frequently for business and typically stay at a hotel within the Hilton or Marriott family for convenience, but I also like to explore and support independents. This was one of the greatest experiences. 1st- you can't beat the location when visiting, so many things are merely a stones throw away. Great restaurants, shops, university, museums and of course the capital. Being in Boise in winter I was drawn by the fact each room had a fireplace! The room is spacious and beautifully decorated with fluffy bathrobes and quality toiletries. They really anticipate all your needs. The lobby is inviting and again beautifully decorated. The restaurant was under renovation, and I did not order room service, but I'd say it's a safe bet that the restaurant is wonderful as well. Upon arrival they offer a complimentary drink, as it was the afternoon and a work trip, they gave me a token to cash in at a later time. I didn't use it, but at another time most likely would and appreciate the hospitality. They also have a complimentary drink/ snack bar which was an added plus and again a mid to the hospitality. The beds were fairly comfortable, and perhaps the only thing that could possibly be upgraded, however the being and pillows were fabulous. The greatest part of staying here though is without a doubt the service. The people working the front desk/concierge go above and beyond and offer exceptional, friendly service. First interaction was with Peter who was just so warm and friendly, I didn't catch the others names, but all were helpful with suggesting places to go for dinner/ coffee, you name it and all suggestions were solid advice. This experience will be hard to top and I look forward to returning next time I'm in Boise. Bravo!

Yelp
Did a staycation to celebrate our wedding anniversary and our glad we chose the Inn. We rented a room with a balcony to enjoy of coffee on in the morning. Room was clean and well decorated- also suggest getting the lazy Sunday (late checkout) for a nice slow morning. The staff in the lobby were kind and personable.

Yelp
Inn at 500 is an epic place to stay. 5 star hospitality. Each room has a theme. While I'm sad to know that four University of Idaho students were slaughtered. The Idaho Vandals themed room is nicely done and a nice tribute to the university. Richard's the restaurant and bar at the hotel is a great place to belly up. I did not have food. The drinks were great and bartenders were amazing and extremely friendly. The hospitality here is five star. From the minute you pull up your are treated simply the best.

Yelp
Loved our staycation! Beautiful rooms, lovey lobby and hotel staff was amazing!! I would do a staycation again! The friends from out of town stayed here too, and they were please.

Yelp
This place was wonderful! Centrally located in Downtown Boise. It is near at least 2 museums within walking distance and the State Capitol is not far either! The concierge services were great and without asking they overheard my father's comment and helped find us a breakfast place (side note their restaurant opens for breakfast at 9am) as we were leaving early for our travels. Their restaurant and bar were also top notch. There is valet service and reasonably priced, you can leave and come back as much you want while you stay there. The rooms we had were clean, updated, had great views of the capital and the park next to the hotel (if on 5th floor corner rooms). Highly recommend this place and prices were very reasonable for the rooms.

Yelp
I wish we had more time to enjoy some more of the hotel. We got into town at 9:00pm and we were hungry and tired from driving all day from Reno, NV. And we needed to get up early and get on the road to beat the weather heading to Moscow. This hotel is a classy modern hotel. Accessible balconies and room service, although we were to late for that. In fact the only restaurant we could find open in Boise after 9:00pm, was Old Chicago Pizza out on the mall. The beds were extremely comfortable, and they have theme rooms with the King rooms on the 5th floor. Not sure if all the floors are like this, but I saw many other theme rooms in other reviews that leads me to believe each floor has something unique to offer. Our room was a film room, and it was dialed in lot Marilyn Monroe. It was pretty cool. Nice location right downtown. If we were in earlier, we could have walked to several restaurants right around the corner. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again. Cheers!

Yelp
This hotel was pretty amazing. The decor of the whole place was so cool and the staff was so friendly. We were offered complimentary snacks and drinks when we checked in (including local beer and wine!). They have valet parking only so you don't have to stress about parking in downtown. Each room seems to have a different theme. Mine was dog themed and I loved it so much. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms were top notch. My coworkers and I kept talking about how we never wanted to leave! If you are staying in Boise, I cannot recommend Inn at 500 enough!

Yelp
My son recently moved to Boise for his job. My husband and I like to frequently visit. Since staying at the Inn At 500, we can't imagine staying anywhere else! This hotel is truly one of a kind. It combines traditional niceties with modern conveniences. You are always welcomed with a glass of wine. And all the staff we have encountered have been truly friendly and eager to make our stay perfect. Each room is uniquely decorated and they are so well done! The thought that goes into each room is really special. I always look forward to our next stay. (And they are pet friendly as we usually travel with our small dog)

Yelp
We stayed for 2 nights here over a gorgeous sunny weekend in June (during Pride). Found the property randomly on Booking.com and was impressed by the Yelp reviews. We had a fantastic stay from start to finish and would totally return here in the future. We were on the 5th floor, standard King room (no balcony) overlooking downtown. We were able to see the Capitol building during the day, Pride fireworks at night, and the gorgeous morning sun hitting the rolling hills each day. Our room also had a fireplace and a little daybed by the window, which were extremely zen. Bed was luxuriously comfortable and the showers ran hot (which is awesome). The fancy half-door meant I got water all over the place, but it was all good. Hannah at the front desk is a rock star - she gave us great service every time we saw her, and we loved the free drinks at check-in (they give you tokens if you're not prepared to chug a beer on the spot). The hotel is right in front of Julia Davis Park + the Greenbelt (a must-do in Boise) and walking distance to everything else. Check out breweries in the area for good times. The Inn at 500 was a great base camp to a beautiful weekend in Boise, and made our stay infinitely better than it otherwise would have been. If you're looking for an obvious YES hotel, check them out!

Yelp
What is not to like about this really cool boutique hotel located right in central Boise Id...immediately walking in you can feel the cool vibe of this place. The front desk employees are super nice and probably some of the friendliest I have run across. They offer complimentary beer or wine when you check in plus as a guest unlimited water, soda and snacks from the downstairs station...each floor is themed with a different vibe and felt like mine was really cool as it was Boise State themed. It was a great room with plenty of space and really like the fact of the private balcony plus gas fire place. This fireplace was awesome and brought great warmth during my chilly stay...in addition had a chance to use their gym facility as well and was equally as nice as the other hotel amenities. I know the next time I am in Boise where I will be staying and recommend you do the same.

Iseyda L.

Yelp
The service at the Inn is exquisite. They absolutely go above and beyond for anyone entering this building. The valet/front desk men were incredible and were extremely helpful, they deserve more than 5 stars in my opinion. I will be returning based solely off of them. Cheers~

Yelp
Not every room is "special"... we stayed on the dog floor (floor 3) and there was no theme in the room. The room was nice though. I was told when I emailed the day prior that my room had a view of the capitol building however, it did not. It's too low to have that view. I had a view of the shell gas station and the gym at the hotel across the street at the Residence Inn. Pros: - free snacks in the lobby. We are talking water bottles, sodas, Cheetos, rice crispy treats, Doritos... it's a problem. -valets are quick -lots of grass around building for pets - great location in the heart of downtown -Keurig machine and fridge in room - balconies were nice to open for breeze - robes provided -dual sinks in bathroom Cons - you have to use your room key to turn on the lights and in the elevator - elevator often stunk of smoke - they have a butler door in the room for deliveries but they still knock on the room door and disturb you. Butler door also takes up a lot of storage (clothing) space in the room - on a busy main street so lots of noise - honking - weird curtains didn't block light for midday naps - not a lot of closet space ( how do people mange in winter with all their coats? - no bathtub just an awkward shower with no door- just a half glass wall. Very splashy. I thought it would be cooler but I did like it overall.

Yelp
We stayed here a month ago and we loved it. Each room has a unique design. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfy. The service was awesome and love the free water, snacks and free drinks at happy hour. It has a good location to access downtown Boise. Overall, this is a great hotel in down town Boise.

Yelp
This is a great hotel, and I dare say, the only place to rest your head in Boise, Idaho. It may be expensive, especially for Boise, but it is worth the expenditure. Service is young, probably sourced from Boise State University, but amazingly well trained. From the moment you enter Inn at 500, you are showered with welcome and accommodation. Smiles abound, and everyone is there to help and charm you. Boise must have the best looking people in the mountain time zone. Everyone is good looking! Check in was fun, and water, soda, and snacks are free. Our room was large, modern, and comfortable for canine and human. The $75.00 dog fee well spent. The only negative about the room would be the sliding doors on the bathroom and toilet room. They are always loud and clumsy. Also, the interior design is not European cool. It's more Las Vegas than Milan. However, this was substance over style. Cornell University Hotel Administration and Hospitality School should use the Inn at 500 as an example of what great management is. I will actually miss staying at this hotel. Inn At 500 Capitol is a simply great hotel.

Yelp
We stayed for a weekend trip to get away from all the craziness. This was advertised as a luxury hotel. They definitely charge like a luxury hotel but the rooms are small regular size hotel rooms with a few extra amenities. We got the spa suite and it we expected a larger room for what we paid ($425/night). Pros- Spa was nice, bed was comfy, shower was nice, complimentary waters and snacks were appreciated. Cons-Room size was too small for what we paid, deck was a bust with a view of a back parking lot, valet parking was awful, we wound up parking and retrieving our own car a couple of times because they were so short handed. They shouldn't be charging more than $200 a night for this place.

Yelp
This hotel and team are amazing! Front Desk Ryan and the team got me through awkward billing situation and conducted it with ease! My money will be back at this settlement!

Yelp
One of our favorite stays in Boise. We were greeted with a complimentary glass of wine. Staff was very friendly and accommodating to our early arrival. Room was lovely! Clean, comfortable, and spacious. Loved the fireplace in our room. Hotel within walking distance to great restaurants & bars. There was free access to water and soda at the front desk. The staff also went above and beyond in helping me before my departure in obtaining a postal stamp on a Sunday, when the post offices were closed, to send a postcard to a first grade class in which their goal is to obtain a postcard from every state. In conclusion: great rooms, good location, and wonderful staff. Would definitely stay again!

Yelp
We were sent up to the movie room and WOW what a fun surprise!! Everything was lovely. Great bed. Great bedding. Cute water bottles. Great shower. Slept great and took a great bike ride in morning. Fun trip!!

Yelp
I was super pumped to try this new, "cool" hotel in Boise. All in all I absolutely loved my experience here last weekend - so lets get the negatives out of the way first - the reasons it lost one star for me. Down Fall I - This property only offers valet parking. (That's not the bad part!) I actually would choose to valet my car. It's $18 here. My gripe is with the actual valet stand worker. I didn't catch his name, because by the time I waited for a few minutes...got out, got my luggage out & shut my hatch I still hadn't seen him yet. (I was the only car in the drive/no one was waiting.) I had a much better experience leaving on Sunday. He grabbed all my stuff, loaded it & waited for me to shut my door. Nice! :) Down Fall Part II - Room service from Richard's. Honestly. I don't understand. The menu is limmmmmmmmited & the prices are hiked up compared to ordering it down in the restaurant. If you are going to have an $8 service charge plus 18% gratuity on room service - do the prices really need to be altered? My tomato soup was very warm & delicious. The cheese raviolis, with pesto, were luke warm & could have used more sauce. The butler door is nice, so they don't have to come into your room. I actually really loved that. It was nice to eat dinner out on the private patio. Down Fall Part III - "Late Check Out" I was enjoying a lazy weekend, so when I got to the property late on Saturday night I asked the gentlemen if I could have a late check out for Sunday. I told him anything he could do would be rad. He offered 1:00pm. SURE! That's better than 11am. So...12:15 on Sunday I get a call from the front desk asking me when I was going to be out of the room; reminding me I need to check out. The phone call was very rude & unnecessary considering I was told 1 was fine. POSITIVES.......My room had a HUGE patio, a full dining table & a comfy outdoor sectional. I loved the double doors that opened. I kept them open my whole stay. The fireplace is cute, & altho it does work, I couldn't ever feel any heat from it. The shower/tub combination I had was truly lovely. Water got EXTRA hot, too! The bathroom lights were not great for putting on makeup so I used the natural light in the bedroom area. Bed was comfy, lots of pillows & the fridge & keurig were nice to have. Extra Bits: - Robes :) - Complimentary sodas, waters and small snacks in the lobby for guests - No fan in the bathrooms. - Honestly, I will stay in this exact room again, just for the patio space.

Yelp
We stayed here 3 nights on our 12 day road trip through Idaho, Wyoming and Montana. It is in an excellent location. We were able to walk to restaurants and shopping easily. I was SO impressed with EVERYTHING!!! From the very friendly front desk employees to our room!! Very modern and high-end! Lots of storage space for our clothes. A nice fireplace added a very charming element! They have a long vanity in the bathroom with TWO sinks! Under the counter shelfs and DRAWERS to neatly put your things away! (A huge plus for me! I am a neat freak!!) A large walk in shower that had nice water pressure! No regular metal drain in the middle of the floor but 2 vertical cuttings in the tile at the front of the shower floor. Very classy! Nice large, soft, fluffy towels!! And a black makeup wash cloth which I loved!! 2 large fluffy robes hanging in the bathroom The bed was a king and so comfortable! Nice black out window coverings to allow us to sleep in. Our room had two beautiful balconies with a small red table and chairs, over looking at the city! Another thing we loved is their "butler cabinet"! You can order room service and they will place it in a locked cabinet that is in the hallway. Then you can open from IN your room to get your food (hidden in your closet) .... without that awkward meeting of the room service people. When you are done with your dishes.... back in the cabinet for a safe pick up from the kitchen staff. What a COOL idea!!! Another thing we loved, was when we checked in at the front counter, they offered us a snack from a basket behind the front desk. A variety of chips, granola bars and other candies. Plus sodas or waters! And you can also get a glass of wine when you check in. They give you these little chips to cash in when you want your wine. Classy!!! All the staff we came in contact wore masks and were all extremely friendly and polite! You can tell they hired the RIGHT people for this important customer service position. If you are planning a trip to Boise.... I highly recommend this hotel!! We LOVED IT!!! A+!!

Yelp
WOW............ best 4 hour stay of my life!! I had booked my room through Expedia as a Christmas gift to my Girlfriend for a NYE staycation! I had booked us a king bedroom with balcony facing the city! What a great view to have for NYE!! That is not the case here. The case here is that the room we got first was a king bed with a city view no balcony. The room felt like a jail cell!! The window didn't even slide open just like a jail cell!! I call the front desk tell them when I booked my room was supposed to have a balcony. They tell me ok no problem sir we can fix that for you. I said great we will be right down. We go down and get the new room keys and go up to our new room with a balcony! They had given us the worst room with a balcony. It wasn't facing the city it was now facing the park, but our view was the rooftop of flicks and their parking lot!! The cherry on top was the GOD AWFUL room decor they put in our room. It was trail of tears decor and man did they bring tears as this whole experience made both of us so upset. So we get ready for dinner at Richard's and then a whole other fiasco happened there! The whole experience from start to finish at all businesses inside the 500 were that of a tragic movie!!

Jeff L.

Yelp
This place has the worst customer service and poor housekeeping service. No one at the front desk knows what is going on, and they are extremely unfriendly. This place needs a complete overhaul and new leadership at a minimum.

Rebecca S.

Yelp
We had a delightful stay at Inn at 500 Capitol. From friendly and personable service to great amenities, they do it well. It is a wonderful boutique hotel. I will definitely stay here again!
google avatar

Liz B.

Yelp
Great spot in downtown Boise!! We received really great service here and loved that it was walking distance to everything in downtown! We got extremely good service here and were treated very kind by all the staff. The restaurant inside this hotel was great too!! A nice little Italian spot with outdoor deck seating overlooking the town! We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Boise!! One thing to note is that this hotel does not have a pool, hot tub or spa but there are many within walking distance. We liked the fact that this hotel was nice and clean and didn't pump the front entrance full of perfume and the rooms were relatively scent free and not overloaded with fabric softener scents!!

Yelp
During our 6 day road trip to move across the country, staying at Inn At 500 Capitol felt like a much needed rest. I booked a variety of hotels for our trip - Hyatt Place, 2 resorts, here and another boutique hotel. This property is spanking new. The rooms are spacious, quiet, towels and linens spotless and the bed was oh so comfy. I loved having the fireplace on during the evening especially. The butler cabinet for deliveries is unique - a hospitality innovation that caught my eye and really was cool. It gave a sense of upscale privacy and efficiency too. Everhthing about the property feels so clean! Complimentary wine, beer, bottled water, soft drinks and small packaged snacks are in the lobby for guests. My husband and I went down and got a glass of local wine and chatted by the fire in the lobby. Valet is prompt, front desk friendly and professional. If I had known about Richards next door, I would have skipped take our Thai on our way into the area. It is affordable and a James Beard award winning. As we were traveling with our service dog, the dog bags outside the back door was a nice touch. We didn't use it, but it sounded like there was a complimentary shuttle to the airport too. Overall if I was in Boise again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here in the future. I would like to upgrade and try their spa suite, shown on their website. I feel like this would be a really cute weekend escape for a couple, with the walkability of downtown and the small touches the hotel boasts. It really feels like a true botique.

Yelp
Beautiful location, comfortable rooms and great on site dinning. Hint: Always try the gelato. So amazing. Craving more of it now.

Yelp
What an amazing hotel. From the decor, to the cleanliness, to the outstanding staff!! My best friend and I got a room and felt like we were royalty. The front desk was so helpful and kind. Valet was quick and accommodating! I cant wait to go back

Yelp
I visit Boise a few times per year for work. I've stayed at most of the newer, and nicer hotels however this was my first stay at the 500. It won't be my last! I absolutely loved my 3 night stay. My room had an incredible fireplace, lots of space and area to work, the bathroom was like a spa, and staff were very professional and attentive. They even offer a complementary chauffeur who drives you anywhere within 4 miles and to the airport in an S class black Mercedes. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the room service from Richard's. Overpriced, minimal options. While convenient, would recommend taking a brief 5 minute walk downtown where they are many more options.
google avatar

Dennis S.

Yelp
Newer downtown hotel which is clean, neat and quiet. Dog friendly, great valet service and attentive staff. The mediocre stars is due to us booking a needed mobility accessibility room but the TV did not work so we were moved to a regular room. We had quite a hike from the elevator to our room plus it was not equipped for me to use my walker. Additionally, I have never seen a toilet so close to the floor. Being tall does not help and we were very disappointed, to say the least. We won't return

Yelp
We stayed here only one night, but were very impressed by this hotel. It feels very modern and luxurious. The rooms are a good size, have lots of storage space, great bathroom, very comfortable bed and sheets. I love that their hallways have water stations to refill our water bottles. The restaurant Richard's is awesome (see my separate review of that). I just wish we had a better view from our balcony.

Yelp
I know, I know. If you're from Boise you HATE this place with a burning passion. It stands for everything that's wrong with Boise- massive new construction, questionable design, expensive rooms... BUT. If you are visiting Boise or know someone who is, you really can't beat the brand-spankin'-new rooms, cleanliness, and amenities. Free Mercedes bus airport shuttle? Check. Beer or wine and snacks upon check-in? Check. Beekman toiletries, fluffy white bathrobes and slippers? Check. In-room dumbwaiter so you never have to answer the door for room service naked? CHYEEECK. Shuttle pick up was smooth and easy. I even received a text message from the van driver to let me know that he was waiting for us upon landing. Check-in was also quick and friendly. They even had an iPhone cord that I could borrow for the night since I forgot mine at home. We stayed in a King suite with a large, well-equipped bathroom and a two-person jetted tub set off in the corner, right across from a small private balcony. I enjoyed the spaciousness - and the privacy - of the suite, from the separate chaise sitting area to the table/desk and the comfortable king-sized bed. We couldn't resist immediately turning on the water for the bathtub (which comes from the ceiling and splatters everywhere... cool look, weird design), and even using the gas fire place. Check out was just as easy. Now, I lived in the area for years. If I still lived here, would I be complaining about how everything is changing (no parking lot, no Dunkley Music across the way, about five downtown hotels already up or going up since I left in early 2017!)? Of course I would. But now that I'm back in Washington, this would be my hotel of choice during return visits for being close to everything: BSU, the airport, and all that downtown has to offer. It's a great central location for sightseeing, music festivals, or travel to all points around the beautiful state of Idaho. I, for one, have a thing about brand new, extremely clean properties, thick white towels, fluffy slippers, crisp white duvets, and super duper comfortable beds. Sorry, locals! I'll be back!

Yelp
My husband decided to spoil me and got us the penthouse suite for $805 a night. Sunday morning I tried to order room service and was told that they could not accommodate us and that we needed to come downstairs and hope for a seat at the bar.

Yelp
This hotel is so beautiful and in a perfect location . It's on a Main Street but it's not busy . From the minute you walk in you are greeted with very friendly staff . They offer you wine or beer upon check-in . You also get complimentary water or soda and chips everyday . The hotel is 1 minute away from the bike trail and the downtown . Ask for a room with a view because we had to switch room from the back side to the city view instead . You get the balcony view of the city and people watching . The showers are plenty big and come with pump soaps and shampoos . They even have flavor cream or with there coffee . This hotel has amazing management and customer service . The only bad thing is the Restaurant inside called Richards . The food is really bad, taste frozen . It's 10 pm here and it's still not dark, cute little city .

Yelp
This hotel was amazing from check in to check out. They went above and beyond with the details for our anniversary celebration. I can't express how much I appreciate the staff and their attention to detail. Check in was a breeze and the free snacks and drinks were great. The room was gorgeous, clean and well kept. The shower and jacuzzi tub was divine. The view was great. The location is great. Just wish we could've stayed longer!

Yelp
It's a Monet, beautiful from afar and disheveled up close. At least the "spa suite" we were in. Water damage in the spa room, gas leak smell on the patio, patio door would not close and therefore not lock, which made it impossible to regulate the temperature of the room. Hot water ran out in the AM and when it came back it never got past warm and lastly the room did not come with robes as advertised. Front desk staff is polite but absolutely inexperienced and have clearly not been trained to provide customer service deserving of a boutique hotel. Breakfast was burnt and came representing Chef Richard. The staff should realize that their mediocre food preparation can damage a chef's reputation. Lastly, when you send customer satisfaction surveys and negative feedback is received, acknowledging a guests negative experience would make it seem like less of an inconvenience for your already disappointed guest. Maybe my mistake was only spending $360 for a suite, instead of $500. Perhaps the extra expense would have provided me with a memorable first experience.

Yelp
I plan to update this review after Jan. 27th and we've had a chance to stay here. As for now, this review is to comment on the building and staff. I was waiting for a friend to grab a cocktail at the newly opened Richards, the hotel restaurant fur Inn 500. However, when I entered, Bailey at the front desk offered me a tour as I waited. In addition to the hotel being stunning, she was the epitome of professional. I felt like I wasn't a stranger off the street, but perhaps a shareholder surveying my investment property. She shared the vision of its proprietor, the history of the local artwork, the inspiration for the various room themed decor, and the future plans for the expansive spaces tucked inside. The rooms are stunning. So much so, that without a good reason, I did indeed book a stay. I'm hoping for the wine themed room! But I'm looking forward to checking in and getting the complimentary local beer/wine, relaxing in the people-watching lobby, (not) working out in the stunning gym, and dining in the new-but-old Richards. I'll keep you posted!!

Yelp
This hotel definitely stands out from other hotels in the downtown area purely for its artistic flair and attention to detail. My wife and I stayed here to attend a wedding nearby and we were not disappointed! Here's the run down: Pros: Service was very good! The gentlemen at the desk were very helpful with check in, check out, and helping us take the free shuttle (which is an awesome perk seeing as we didn't have to take a Lyft/Uber). They also offer complimentary drinks (beer and wine too), snacks, etc. at check in or tokens if you want to return for them - love this! Every place from the lobby to the hallways to our room was very clean and tidy. I love their concept for providing ice - no loud noisy ice maker like most other hotels, rather a cooler filled with pre-bagged portions of ice to take to your room. Genius! The room itself was spacious and had everything we needed. The bathroom was really spacious which we both appreciated along with double doors, one for the bathroom itself and one for the toilet room. Shower was walk in with all hair products provided. It was neat how the lights worked - place your card in the slot by the front door to activate all lights. Remove the card as you are leaving to deactivate them. This is a nice feature to ensure you don't forget your key card! Cons: The parking here is valet only (which they let you know on their website and when checking in), which isn't uncommon but be prepared to pay $18 for it. We opted to park across the street behind the gas station which charges $10 for an entire day of parking. There's other parking nearby but the valet might be worth it if you aren't wanting to walk too far. We love walking so it wasn't an issue for us. A small inconvenience but not major is that there was no bathroom vent fan in the bathroom. This might be a new trend with hotels since I've seen several others without them. The biggest inconvenience was probably the noise factor. The walls were very thin...we could hear our next door neighbors voices (they were only talking, not yelling or being excessive) and we could hear lots of footsteps and walking above. This isn't something that's necessarily curable but I wanted to mention it for those who are light sleepers. Overall this hotel is great! Many worthwhile amenities, the location is outstanding, and the service is worthy!

Yelp
Check in: seamless, friendly staff and zero hassle. Rooms: incredible, modern and CLEAN Staff: the most accommodating and nicest staff This hotel is beyond amazing. Why the other reviewers would rate them so low is astounding. Forget the Hampton, I'll be back!

Yelp
I stayed her in May of 2019. I was visiting Idaho as I plan on making it my future home. First off, the rates aren't bad, $250 a night. The rooms are amazing. Very boutique style and modern hotel. The customer service was top notch. We arrived at 4pm and had dinner reservations at 5pm at a local restaurant about 10 minutes away. They have a brand new beautiful Mercedes Benz they used to shuttle me nd my wife to the restaurant just in time for my reservations. When we were done with dinner I called the hotel the the shuttle was there within 10 minutes. Over the course of the 4 day visit they were extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely will be staying here again.

Yelp
Great hotel in downtown Boise. Stayed one night here on a recent visit to Boise. Staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean. They have complimentary water, soda and snacks. Check in and check out we're quick and easy. Do not however that the parking is valet only, no self park but the valet staff were professional and quick.

Yelp
It was an fun idea to think of spending the weekend at the Inn at 500 and after an incredible weekend, I will be returning. After seeing that different themed room are available, I went down to see what the options are and was offered to see the rooms I was interested in. Upon seeing the rooms first hand, I knew it was going to be a memorial experience. Check in went very easily and the complimentary snacks and beverages that are offered are a very nice touch. The valet parking required by the hotel was nice, but didn't feel it was needed when my vehicle was parked less than 100 feet from where I parked it upon my arrival, and then I walked to where it was upon my departure. The room was incredible with an amazing bed, fantastic shower, and the remote control fire place made it feel like I never wanted to leave. Our themed room had just enough decor to make us feel like we were transported to another location with the city of Boise as our backdrop. The room service portal was a very nice touch to the room and kept it private. Our room extended out to an open patio, which our patio doors were never closed once we opened them. The only criticism I have is that after getting confirmation for a late check out, the morning we were we checking out, we received a phone call 3 hours before check out, confirming that we were checking out. It put a slight damper on the amazing feeling the hotel and helped create that weekend. I do look forward to returning to the Inn at 500 for a future stay and to experience another amazing themed room. Here's to another amazing stay!

Yelp
We rented an amazing suite at this hotel back in February. The room was modern and very spacious. We had a separate living room with a fireplace. The shower was spa-like. The room also came with a very long patio that had a great view of the Capitol. The hotel had ice chests spread throughout the hallways, full of bagged ice. This was a nice touch! What impressed me the most was a secret dummy waiter-like door on the outside of the room that fed inside near the kitchenette area. Catering staff could slide food or drink through without troubling the guests. Valet parking and an amazing restaurant called Richard's downstairs makes this a perfect place to stay while you are in Boise.

Yelp
Jeff from maintenance was spectacular, inn and out of the bedroom. Room was also nice.

Yelp
3.5-4 stars... I'm not sure if they are understaffed or just so busy they can't always have someone at the desk. No one was there to check us in- we had to go find someone. The people we did deal with were very nice though. They don't service the room daily, so if you want more K-Cups/Coffee Accoutrements or water you will need to track someone down or bring your own. The "rustic" decor in our theme room was a little dated but still cute. Room and hotel were VERY clean. Balcony was a great touch and so nice to enjoy our coffee and wine on. The comfy robes were also nice and they didn't feel "dirty" like some hotel robes do. If you're a light sleeper be aware there is noise from the downtown traffic. The complimentary snacks and water/sodas are a nice touch if you're coming into the hotel midday or late at night. Location is good too- close to many good eateries without being smack in the middle of downtown. Restaurant on site looked good but had ZERO GF options so we didn't go (plus they had a mask policy if you are un-vaxxed). We stayed in a Deluxe King, and while we feel it was a little pricey for what we got, we would stay again.

Yelp
Excellent hotel. Service is impeccable and accommodations are first rate. We have stayed at this hotel three times visiting Boise and have not been disappointed! This year we stayed during the 4th of July and had a perfect view of the fireworks from Ann Morrison park!

Yelp
All I can say is wow. This was our first trip to Boise. During COVID times they took all precautions. They made sure to show that the commonly used items were sanitized. The rooms were very spacious and clean. They even Had a little self inside each room where housekeeping can deliver your items and place them inside the cubby without any contact. The restaurant Richard was very yummy for dinner and brunch even allowing you to build your own Bloody Mary.

Yelp
Lovely!!! Highly recommend. What a delight to stay in a legitimate boutique hotel. Your first impression is a bright stylish well appointed lobby with eclectic and local art. The front desk and valet give excellent friendly service. Complimentary items upon check in and your entire stay is a nice touch. The rooms are to die for. A themed room?!? Yes! Cheesy? No! Complete taste and luxury. Each room and all common areas have real artistic flare without compromising comfort or 4 star standards. Each room has a fireplace, balcony, extremely comfortable beds. Bathrooms are spa like as well. Walking distance from all restaurants in downtown. What an wonderful reprieve from a chain hotel. We will definitely stay again.

Yelp
Super super cute, brand new hotel in downtown Boise. Lovely decor, well-appointed rooms, courteous staff... and I heard from one of my co-workers that the restaurant was wonderful but I, regretfully, didn't get a chance to check it out. I love that many of the rooms have themes to the decor. My room was all in tribute to Audrey Hepburn which was so cute! I loved the balcony and fireplace too! I don't know if life will bring me to Boise again, but if it does, I'd definitely stay here again!
