When we arrived at the hotel, I was surprised to find that half of it was under active renovation. There was no mention of this construction on their website. Apparently, one half of the hotel is being fully remodeled, after which the other half will follow. I immediately had concerns about potential noise issues early in the morning. However, the desk clerk mentioned that there had been no complaints from guests regarding noise during the construction, so take that for what it's worth.||In addition to the construction noise, the west side of the hotel faces a busy street, so we experienced constant road noise. On a positive note, the view from our balcony was stunning, with a clear view of the "Chief Kiawanda Rock" formation.||Our second-floor room was somewhat spacious, though it was clear that it needed a renovation. The gas fireplace was unique, and the portable air conditioner was a surprise. Despite the worn look of the room, everything was clean and functional. The shower had hot water with good pressure, the mini fridge kept our food cold, and the microwave worked well. The hotel's Wi-Fi had a speed of 50 Mbps down and 74 Mbps up.||Directly across the street, there were a few restaurants, including a brewery. There’s also a coffee shop attached to the hotel that serves drinks and breakfast items. Since it was a rainy weekend, we didn’t have the chance to explore the beach or the surrounding area. Our stay was just a stopover as we continued our journey North the following morning. Note, that the hotel adds an "amenities fee" of $19 to the bill which I don't know what for.||In summary, our hotel stay was comfortable, and we didn't encounter any major issues. I would likely stay here again once the renovations are completed (if the price remains reasonable), or I may consider looking for a hotel in nearby Lincoln City.
