My husband and I eloped here recently and had an amazing experience. Jim and Joanne were very kind and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The rooms were well taken care of and the scenery is just beautiful. We really enjoyed going down by the dock, it was idyllic and they have kayaks if you choose to get on the water. We will be back again at some point.

I cannot give enough praise to The Huntingfield Creek Inn, Jim and Joanne, and the entire staff. It was 5 of us. Three of us stayed in the Garden Cottage and the other 2 stayed in the Grays Inn room. Our quarters were clean, had plenty of fresh towels, bathrobes, coffee and tea and a welcome candies from the local bakery! The grounds were stunning, and we really enjoyed relaxing outside! We are already planning to return in the winter! ||One last thing… the 3 inn dogs were so friendly!! We enjoyed petting and hanging out with them!!

Great place just outside Rick Hall for intimate B&B. Comfortable room. Delicious breakfast. Lovely grounds. Three friendly dogs to join you on walks to the bay or around. Wine and beer and cookies in the library for folks coming back from dinner proved to be a great place to meet folks. Pond on property for fishing and lovely pool

I planned a surprise trip to the Inn for my wife to celebrate our anniversary. And we delayed our celebration just a bit so we could make the Pirates and Wenches festival. Several other guests dressed for the occasion and the festival itself was a lot of fun. The area provided lots of nature sighting opportunities. We saw blue heron, foxes, raccoons, rabbits, coyote, and turtles either on the property or nearby. The wildlife drive through tour is worth taking. As for the inn, we loved the 3 friendly dog greeters who were so happy to see us when we came back for the day. The pool was a great way to cool off. The house and property was beautiful and the breakfasts were delicious. We loved taking a walk out to the private dock to see that nice view of the inlet. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and complementary wine and chocolate chip cookies available too.

We stayed at the InnTown House located in the quaint town of Rock Hall, MD. The host was flexible with our delayed arrival. The accommodations were clean, well maintained and quite roomy with an open floor plan. The cozy balcony allowed us to enjoy an evening sitting outside sipping wine with privacy. Having vouchers for breakfast at the well known Java Rock coffee shop in the morning was an added treat! We were able to sit outside each day, meet long time friends and plan our days. The weather cooperated each day with sunshine and breezes.

Amazing experience at the Inn. The room was super comfortable, clean, and spacious. Extra towels were provided. The common areas so beautiful! We loved the tea and coffee available and the coziness of the entire place. Also use of the library!! Jim and Joanne were very welcoming and kind. The property is incredible with access to a pond, bikes, and kayaks. Delicious breakfast! We didn’t want to leave!!! We can’t wait to come back!

The owners and staff were very friendly and hospitable. Our cottage was clean and cozy. The dogs gave us a warm welcome. If you need a nice getaway this is the spot to relax and be refreshed. Wonderful grounds to walk and clear your mind. I would recommend to all to come and enjoy!

Google
What an idyllic place. This was only the second time I had visited, but I shall go again as much as I possibly can. Jim and Joanne are the most excellent hosts, and make everybody feel so welcome and, although the expression is hackneyed, they really do make you feel like you are part of their family. I travelled alone and I did not feel like I was intruding, nor did I feel lonely, for one instant. The house is beautiful, the grounds are fantastic, and the breakfasts - well what can I say? I will mention the dogs, but last this time! They make my stay. I will extend my thanks to the team who helped there, too. Also very friendly and helpful. Thank you for authority relaxing stay.

Yelp
Top notch bed and breakfast! Great for dog lovers as there are 3 dogs on the property to welcome you and take you for a walk! The property is gorgeous with both a pond and a dock on the water. Blue heron make their home at both areas of water.

Yelp
After three nights, I most certainly did not want to leave! We would have been quite happy to stay many more days. Though it's a bit of "a hike" from the more well known attractions of Maryland, the spot itself was idyllic. The fields, the sunsets, the water, the birds, the dogs, the hosts, the Inn, the cottage, the flowers...all just lovely. I'm someone who is extra sensitive to sounds at night. Though there were some mechanical sounds associated with the heating (to be expected!), we slept without any disturbance from neighbors. Very peaceful. The birds woke us up in time for breakfasts. The entire property is clean, well maintained, and beautifully planned. This place is for dog lovers! Rosie, Bayla, and Molly were an absolute delight. They are the greeting party upon arrival and in the mornings. If you'd like a canine escort to the bay, you've got it! I expect we will go back...probably with friends so they can experience the loveliness too.

Yelp
I visited again this weekend and it just confirmed what a one-of-a-kind jewel of the Eastern Shore this inn truly is. We stayed in the elegant Lavender Cottage, which comfortably hosted myself and my parents thanks to the cozy hideaway bed. I loved having a kitchen complete with fridge and microwave, and this is one of the most beautifully decorated places I have stayed. The cottage had windows on three sides looking out to the gorgeous grounds, with the surrounding natural beauty a true escape. The owners, Joan and Jim, are so gracious and welcoming. I also fell even more in love with their adorable dogs, who are the local welcoming committee and tour guides. ;) We now hope to make this a yearly tradition!

Yelp
A friend and I decided we needed a night away from the husbands and kids so we met here which is convenient to me from Howard County and her from Middleton, DE. We booked the pond cottage, and with the tranquil views of the pond, fields, and gardens plus our private deck and Adirondack chairs we were in heaven. Complimentary salted chocolate chip cookies, chocolates, and a bottle of wine awaited us in our room. The cottages have been updated, with laminate flooring, spa like shower and soaking tub, and other amenities (mini fridge, WiFi, tv, a comfortable bed). We did notice a bit of a musty smell in the room, not sure if it was the filter that needed attention in the Overhead, adjustable AC unit. There was also some spots of mold by the vent in the bathroom. We alerted Joanne when we checked out. The rest of the room was clean and we spent the majority of our stay out and about in the town anyway. The grounds are lovely, and had it not been overcast we would've enjoyed the in ground pool or taken a walk to the Inn's private alcove by the Chesapeake. The owner's four dogs greeted us the next morning, and Phil the groundskeeper helped my friend fill her tire with air. It's an idyllic respite from the everyday life, especially during the stressful year that we've all faced due to the pandemic. We were happy to see the town busy with tourists (although the Pirates & Wenches weekend was cancelled) it still seemed busier than usual. My husband's maternal family grew up in Rock Hall, and it's truly the 'pearl of the Chesapeake.' Due to covid-19 and socially distancing, we received breakfast vouchers for nearby Java Rock rather than have breakfast at the inn. We would've been fine with bringing back food to our room, but it wasn't that big of a deal to go into town. For a family or larger group that would've been a slight inconvenience and perhaps they could have sign ups for breakfast time slots in the main house. I would go back and stay at another cottage in the future.

Yelp
We had a wonderful three-night weekend in one of the cottages behind the main house. The property is quiet and comfortable and the cottage had everything we needed. Breakfast was great. Jim & Joanne are friendly and professional hosts. Be sure to visit Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge, just a few miles south. Highly recommended.

Yelp
We recently hosted our Daughter's wedding at the Inn at Huntingfield Creek on 10/3/20. While we live in Ct., much of the planning was done via the phone or by email. Final visits and preparation choices were made through visits to the site by the wedding couple. Joanne and Jim could not have been more helpful and gracious throughout the entire process, especially during COVID! They helped our daughter and her husband plan an outstanding menu, suggested local vendors, and were extremely patient as plans continuously needed adjustments through these unprecedented times. The grounds are truly breathtaking and the perfect spot for a wedding venue. From Lavender fields, to paths leading to the bay, spacious gardens and trails, the ceremony site and quick walk to the spectacular Barn, all made for an amazingly serene and inviting venue. The beautiful backdrop provided a plethora of opportunities for memorable wedding photos! The cottages, rooms at the Inn and Townehome are lushly appointed, exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. Our cottage was spacious with a large bedroom, separate bath area with shower and bathtub, as well as separate facilities. The living room had a fireplace to cozy up and relax, and the small kitchen area included all we needed! Having the wedding party onsite allowed for not only a stress free environment, but ample time to set up and enjoy each other's company throughout the weekend. Guests could wander the grounds and easily meet up throughout the weekend. Of the seven cottages, two were designated for the Bride and Groom to prepare for the day. The breakfasts provided were homemade, ample and delicious! It was wonderful to meet together on this joyous occasion. Everyone raved about Joanne's homemade coffeecake and berry bread pudding! There was more than enough food for all and ample space inside the Inn to accommodate the 30+ guests staying with us. There was no better way to start the wedding day, and then say goodbye to all the following morning! Joanne and Jim are sincere in their attentiveness, warmth and hospitality. Phil, the site manager, is outstanding, as well as all of the staff who helped serve throughout the wedding. Everyone was present throughout the day, willing and able to help in anyway possible. What's wonderful is that the happy couple can return to this beautiful place to celebrate their anniversaries for years to come! We highly recommend Inn at Huntingfield Creek for a wedding venue, or much needed relaxation. We hope to return when we will have a chance to bike, kayak and walk the grounds in the future.

Yelp
My wife and I have been visiting the Inn almost every other year for the past 15 years or so. Jim and Joanne are amazing hosts and truly care that your stay is amazing. What they have created is a relaxing oasis that just grounds you and makes you feel right at home immediately upon arrival. Even when they are fully booked we feel like we are the only ones staying there and we usually have the pool all to ourselves. The breakfasts are amazing and we have met some really nice people at the Inn that we stay in touch with to this day. Obviously with COVID-19 they aren't serving breakfast as usual and the rooms in the main house are closed. While we missed their delicious breakfast buffet they offered vouchers to Java Rock in town for breakfast which was a wonderful alternative. They have been doing a thorough cleaning job between guests and we felt very safe there. We cannot wait to return and visit again. Jim and Joanne are great hosts and have become friends. If you go there I'm sure you will return again.

Yelp
Absolutely the best place to stay in this area. The owners are amazing, they have a gorgeous place, food is amazing, their dogs are always fun to play with. The owners go out of their way to accommodate your every need. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
I spent some glorious time sunning myself by the SALT WATER POOL at Huntingfield Manor this weekend. It. was. really. GREAT! Our friends celebrated their wedding here - it was the perfect secluded spot for them. :o) Plus it's dog friendly, which was a main criteria. This would be a great place for a weekend (or longer) getaway. The proprietors were very friendly, and everything (the cabins, land around the cabins, etc) was beautiful.

Yelp
We absolutely love this Inn. We have stayed twice, December and January. Beautiful accommodations with the Island and Zen cottages, where we had complete privacy, sunsets, grilled our meals, kayaked, strolled, enjoyed the estuary down the road, and the complete comfort of the cottage with fireplace, soaking tub, and comfortable sleeping. The family has lovely dogs who were great companions. We are looking forward to returning... Huntingfield Inn is a true getaway.

Yelp
What can I say....after 16 years of coming here it never gets old. In fact we discover something new every time, but so appreciate the timeless things we can depend upon. When we finally decided to venture out after being isolated at home for 4 months due to COVID, there was only one place we considered going.....Inn at Huntingfield Creek. We already knew Jim & Joanne's commitment to cleanliness and details, and knew that we would be totally safe here. While obviously we missed the AMAZING breakfasts, we understand that having a buffet right now and all those people inside is not in anyone's best interest. The vouchers to Java Rocks were a great substitute....plenty of yummy, healthy choices, and just a few minute drive. The smoothies are out of this world! Pick up a sandwich/chips/dessert to take back for lunch so you can hang by the saltwater pool. Laze in the hammock (my hubby does every time), or swing in the tree swing (I do this every time) - fun repeat things to count on! Got to meet the Asst Manager, Phil, and appreciate his hospitality and spoiling us.....fresh chocolate chip cookies delivered poolside...what more could we ask for?! This truly is a home away from home for us. We love the solitude and peace it brings to our spirits, but love just as much meeting the kind, down to earth people this Inn draws. When we left this time, I cried. Not just because we were leaving, but because I realized how hard the past few months have been, for everyone, and being here reset our emotions to endure whatever the rest of this year holds. Jim & Joanne are precious to us both!

Yelp
Came here for our 25th anniversary. Jim and Joanne are friendly and open, the lodgings very good and quiet, and the food very good. The accommodations IMO are worth the price, and you will feel very welcomed here. We recommend getting a massage while here (see hosts for information). We would come back again in a heartbeat!

Yelp
Just came back from spending the weekend at this lovely bed and breakfast for my wife and I's first wedding anniversary. Instantly, Jim and Joanne make you feel right at home especially with their friendly dogs as part of the greeting party. The grounds are well maintained and sitting on the dock for a sunset is amazing. The cottage that we stayed in was beautiful as is everything else on the grounds. One of the best parts is every morning, breakfast is prepared at 830. It is some of the most amazing breakfast food you will ever have! I highly recommend coming to this place for a nice getaway for a weekend or longer. As my wife and I are already discussing when we plan on visiting the bed and breakfast again.

Yelp
My husband and I had a fantastic experience here for a get-away weekend. Our cottage was spacious, nicely decorated, and comfortable. The property was absolutely breathtaking- tons of beautiful gardens and very well-kept. The inn owners were incredibly friendly and interesting, and they made an incredible breakfast each morning. We couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Yelp
Jim and Joanne are simply the best hosts! This was our 7th year staying here for the Town's Annual Pirates and Wenches Festival. The grounds are stunning, the breakfasts homemade with items from their garden and their Assistant Phil is fantastic as well! Their 4 dogs Maggie, Rosie, Bella, and Java are icing on the cake!

Yelp
Wonderful inn on 70 acres. 3 pet-friendly rooms (our dog became BFF with one on the inn's dogs). Quiet and relaxing -- a super, chill place to come and enjoy the Chesapeake. And the innkeepers are super nice. Highly recommended!

Yelp
I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone who has the galls to visit Rock Hall, because it is worth the trip. The stately looking house set back from the sleepy highway is welcoming, the former owners, the Starken's were very friendly, fun, down to earth and awesome folks. Interiors are beautiful and homey.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed at The Inn at Huntingfield creek this past weekend. Joanne and Jim, the inn keepers were really nice and the staff was super friendly. We were given one of the cottages behind the main house which was very well appointed. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful. We could not ask for a better weekend away. Breakfast is served every morning at 830 in the main house and in the late afternoon, beverages are served in the Library. The Inn is a great place to get away from the day-to-day grind and just unwind.

Yelp
My wife and I had a beautiful wedding here last July and unfortunately I'm finally just getting around to writing this now! Jim and Joanne were superb hosts, adapting to some unforeseen challenges when it started pouring and we knew we weren't having an outdoor ceremony anymore. They worked together with the wedding planner expeditiously and set up a gorgeous arrangement in the barn so quickly I didn't realize what was happening. Our photographer took amazing pictures on their picturesque property, and Joanne's food was simply brilliant and a huge hit with our guests. Everything came together wonderfully. Oh and the rooms and cottages are cozy and luxurious and we plan on going back for a weekend soon.

Yelp
This is our second stay at the Inn. We first visited here in Summer 2015 and had a great stay then too. For this visit, we reached out to the innkeepers, Joanne and Jim, early in the Fall to see if they could help us host a gathering of good friends. They were great to work with, and helped us secure the weekend before Christmas to host 7 families (23 adults and children!) in their wonderful cottages and rooms in the main house. We had such a great stay there! The property is big and very kid-friendly; we were able to let the younger ones run around outside without worrying about traffic or strangers. The cottages are beautifully decorated, well-appointed with all the modern conveniences you would need, and perfectly situated for some privacy yet close enough for easy visits before the meals and during the day. The country breakfasts were amazing, delicious, and unforgettable. The main house has some great gathering areas with beverages, books, and great ambiance. Of course, the innkeepers and their team make this all easy and enjoyable. There is a dock on the property -- great for viewing sunsets! There are plenty of activities and restaurants in close driving distance. We had a really great time; this was the perfect way to head into Christmas. This was our second stay at the Inn, and the first stay for the other families. We all hope to return again very soon.

Yelp
Thank you Joanne and Jim for their hospitality. I feel like I am staying with family for that one night I was there. Four of us (2 couples) split the new one bedroom apartment. The room was like any luxury spa hotel room with fireplace, bookshelve and chic furniture. Joanne is an awesome interior designer with great taste. All the details to the T. From the complimentary bath bomb to the fun pillow cases. The ground was well kept with whimsical decor. Short walk to the water and they have a barn for wedding event too. Breakfast was delicious (also prepared by Chef Joanne). We enjoyed talking to Joanne and Jim and also other guests in the warm and rustic library! Truly enjoy our stay and hope to return one day!

Yelp
My husband and I booked a room online for this establishment, it clearly stated on the other rooms that it was a two night minimum. There were two cottages that did not have this minimum listed online. I booked one of them, received an email confirmation, and assumed that we were booked. I received a message from the Inn stating that wasn't the case, as they had a two night minimum. When my husband called the Inn, he was informed that even though we had a confirmation, and they admitted the error was on their end, as their website was incorrect, they refused to honor our reservation, and when we explained the situation that we were in town for a wedding, and could not get a room elsewhere, were not helpful, but in fact were incredibly rude to my husband. They have refused to honor our reservation, even with the confirmation from them, and the acknowledgement that the error was on their end. Due to this, we are in Rock Hall for a wedding, but forced to stay in Annapolis, as all other hotels in the area are booked by this time. We were aghast at their lack of professionalism or courtesy. After reading the reviews on this site, I was looking forward to the stay, and am incredibly disappointed in the outcome.
