I went there with my wife for her birthday. Amazing place. Very quiet outside. Things inside are beautiful and comfortable. The view is gorgeous. A couple places to eat right near by. We want to come back for the restaurant they have.

This hotel exceeded my already high expectations. The staff is wonderful, and the property is beautiful. Amazing water views and a calm, peaceful vibe. Breakfast was delicious with friendly chefs. Very dog friendly. Free parking and electric vehicle charging. Yummy snacks you won't find at the supermarket. I am looking forward to the next stay already.

We celebrated our anniversary here and were thoroughly impressed. Our room offered stunning views and featured a cozy fireplace, perfect for the chilly evenings. Dining at the hotel's restaurant was a highlight of our stay. We were welcomed with a glass of wine and guided to our table. The food was extraordinary, and the wine pairings were impeccable. While they offer a vegetarian option, it's essential to inform the restaurant ahead of time. Breakfast, included with our room, was simple yet delicious. Additionally, it appears that children under the age of 12 are not allowed, so confirm this with the establishment for accuracy.

Id say if the heaters worked a little better the place was perfect for a get away. It was cold in our room the little heaters couldn't keep up with the 20s outside. Guess that's what I get for winter get away.

We loved our 2 night stay at the Langley Inn. |Its right on the edge of the charming little downtown district of Langley. |A minute walk to several restaurants and shops. Both the owners and staff were gracefully attentive. It was lovely to enter our room and see that they accommodated my special bedding requests The room and bath area were tastefully appointed. The View from the north facing balcony treated us to sunrise and sunset, snow capped Cascade Mountains and a variety of fishing birds including eagles and great blue Herons. So sweet to read poetry (book lent by the hotel) aloud in front of the fireplace each night. But also to wake up to a sumptuous breakfast buffet with both sweet and savory offerings. We also appreciated the complimentary snacks. Yes we will return, on a weekend, and try out their highly rated restaurant. Thank you to all for a memorable getaway.

Google
A luxury inn. Mouth-watering breakfast buffet with huge choices, including: fish (salmon), in-season fruit, bakery items, hot and cold cereals. Excellent coffee and coffee drinks. Convenient to "downtown" Langley. Friendly and helpful reception. Complimentary snacks at registration area. Scrupulously clean room & bathroom. In-room fireplace. Lovely view of the water.

Just got back from a 3 night stay with my wife. Perfect place to rest and recharge. ||Hotel was great and staff were even better. Have already recommended it to family and friends. ||The included breakfast each morning was fantastic. Such a great start to the day!

Gorgeous, comfortable, perfect location on the water and next to shopping with an amazing restaurant. While we’ve only had the pleasure of staying once last year, we loved it so much we immediately rebooked for this year to celebrate our anniversary. Sadly, due to a family emergency, we had to cancel. This is where the Inna at Langley really showed us they are true masters of hospitality. While we tried to make our reservation, we had to push back, hoping we could still celebrate our anniversary at this perfect place. They were so accommodating. Then, we were stalled again due to inclement weather and were resigned to losing our reservation and money. Nothing to be done, just bad luck. We called again to ask if there was any way we could push our reservation to the Fall (hopefully far from any other emergency that could arise) and add another night. Not only did they accommodate again, they were very kind about the whole debacle. Thank you, Inn at Langley. We are so grateful for the beautiful place you’ve created and the patience you’ve shown.

Yelp
My favorite place to stay in WA. The breakfast is included and it's fabulous. The people at the front desk could not have been kinder or more accommodating.

Yelp
This review is arriving later than it should, but I've thought about this for some time and feel like it needs to be said. My wife and I stayed at the Inn at Langley on 2 occasions and had dinner at the restaurant. The first time we stayed there was in 2015 and it was a wonderful experience. The granny's purse dessert was on point(especially the tissue). The second time was in late February of 2020 right before covid hit. The latter experience missed the mark completely. This is not a reflection of the accomodations or the food which are always exceptional. It was Saturday night on my wife's 40th birthday when we dined at the restaurant. Anyone who is born on leap day know these don't come often. I had run to the restroom and when I returned, my wife was in tears. I asked her what had happened. She mentioned that they were doing some sort of performance in the kitchen which she found interesting and took a picture with her phone. After she took the photo, Matt Costello who is the Chef/GM came over to the table and lambasted her for taking a picture. It was surprising to me that he had this type of reaction. If it were a problem, I think it could have been dealt with in a much more graceful manner. This definitely is not what I would have expected given our previous experience.

Yelp
Booked my birthday dinner here, food was atrocious, and SO expensive! Zero positive experience, do not recommend, will never book there again. Restaurant manager is refunding our entire meal, so want to say they do care about customer service.

Yelp
Heaven on earth! Not only the accommodations and staff, which are exceptional, but tonight we dined at the restaurant to celebrate my daughter's 40th birthday - phenomenal! Amazing mixture of flavors and textures, and every single course was stellar. The service was outstanding, and it made for a memorable occasion my daughter and I will always cherish. Overall, everything here is perfect, and I only have raves for the Inn at Langley!

Yelp
This is one of the best places we have ever stayed (and we like to travel). It's a smaller boutique hotel. Every single person we met that worked there was so very very personable which makes a huge difference. The room was lovely and faced the water which is my favorite type of room. They have a wonderful breakfast buffet there where the chef worked hard to make it all taste and look amazing. Also, there is some great coffee they sell there made by a local place called Mukilteo and you have to grab some of that to take home or give to friends....it's sooo good.

Yelp
My husband and I have stayed here twice and every time we leave we're already talking about when we can return. It's one of the most peaceful getaways- beautiful water views from your room & deck, comfortable beds, great complimentary snacks and beverages, friendly staff, and delicious breakfast every morning! They really think of everything to make your stay enjoyable. Plus, it's just steps from Downtown Langley! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Wow! This was hands down such an incredible experience. So much thought went into every detail of the "WOW" factor. We loved that every room faced the ocean and the plethora of treats you could bring to your room including complimentary non alcohol beverages we had supplied in our mini fridge upon arrival. It was so quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was such a delight! They go above and beyond with so much to choose from. The hotel also included a couple of movie trickets where we were able to see a fun movie at the cute little Clyde Theater up the street. I highly recommend this place. Sheila and Roxy did a great job of explaining everything about the property and Jamie took exceptional care of us at breakfast. We will be back to enjoy their multiple course dinner sometime.

Yelp
I have never stayed at this Inn (always wanted to) but I have done the dinner service a couple times. Both times were awesome experiences. Got to get reservations pretty early for these. Have a multiple course meal and the food is always unique and top-notch! Also have great wine! Service was outstanding both times we came. I definitely will come back again!!

Yelp
Everything was wonderful, especially the complementary breakfast prepared by the excellent chef James!!

Yelp
A hidden gem in the corner of this world! A perfect get way from the city! They even have 2 EV chargers- one for Tesla and one for other chargers . We stayed in the Corner King Waterfront room which is different than regular rooms as it's in the Corner and has no room at one side. The rooms have a balcony facing the calm sea. They have a large king bed with a mini fridge with free soda & cola! The wine & beer are paid. There is also a bath tub with salts and a water view while you take a bath in the tub! The Spa and Dinner were closed during our stay but they still have free amazing breakfast. You are given a breakfast card where you need to chose your breakfast and drink. The breakfast is delicious but little less quantity if you like a heavy breakfast! And then there is the city of Langley which is beautiful and everything around is walkable from the Inn. Lastly, the folks running the inn are super friendly and super helpful! They have lots of snacks in the front desk for you!

Yelp
We had an exceptional stay beginning with the friendly and sincere greeting at reception. Our room was spotless, decorated beautifully with an amazing view. Our room was stocked with everything we could want or need. The breakfast buffet was delicious and generous. We especially appreciated the emails that arrived before our visit with lots of helpful information and the changes that had taken place to show concern for the environment. It was an excellent visit.

Yelp
Incredible prix fixe 8-course meal - (in May 2023 they are transitioning to an à la carte menu.) Chef Matt Corbett met us at the door, and remained remarkably relaxed throughout the meal as his staff of 4 brought imaginative, beautiful, delicious dishes that were plated in full view behind us. Incredible flavors and textures, the product of a clever and consistent palate - the deconstructed gin and tonic with jellied tonic was a winner. Cozy, warm atmosphere with a real fireplace, tall ceilings, beautiful lit garden outside. Every course had unique plates and cutlery, and serving size was modest so we didn't feel overfed. A really memorable experience.

Yelp
We had been wanting to try this restaurant for several years and my wife and I booked it for our anniversary. We were there October 21st. The setting is gorgeous and the service it top notch. The pace of the meals was brisk but not rushed. Presentation was exquisite. Unfortunately, it was the food that totally missed the mark. The Inn had a set menu with 5 courses or an a la carte option, which with the exception of the couple of salads, more or less mirrored the set menu. One thing that was striking was the lack of proteins on both menus -- only a salmon dish. It was very surprising not to see another protein option. We chose the set menu but also added a bibb lettuce salad, which became our first course. It was good and the puffed rice added a really nice contrast to the lettuce leaves. Our next course was pumpkin soup served in a little pumpkin. It had little taste. It was fine but it seemed like it was totally unseasoned. Next course was homemade bread with horseradish butter. The bread and butter were great -- I actually wished they sold that horseradish butter! Gnocchi with mushrooms were next. Again there was a lack of seasoning and the mushrooms really overpowered the dish. I love mushrooms so that was fine with me but my wife is not as much of a fan. It was easy to just eat the gnocchi but it emphasized the blandness of the gnocchi. Salmon with yuzu pesto and summer squash over potatoes was the main course. Both of our salmon were a little overcooked. I love yuzu but the yuzu pesto was again very bland with no seasoning. I ate less than half of my main dish and my wife ate less. To the restaurant's credit, they saw we did not like it and offered to replace it with something on the a la carte menu, but there was no other real main dish to replace it with. The last dish was dessert and it was truly outstanding. It was a giant truffle and when the chef came to serve it at our table, she poured something on top and mousse on a brownie sheet was revealed. The mousse was delicious and not too heavy. Even at the finest restaurants, desserts is often underwhelming but this was clearly the star of the evening and one of the more tasty and inventive desserts I have ever had. The price for the set menu ($110) was actually very reasonable. But overall, we just had a few courses that were mediocre and bland. Since the food should be the star at the restaurant, it gets 3 stars. We were glad we went but just disappointed. I am not sure when we would come back but hopefully if we do come they may have more than one protein choice on the menu.

Yelp
My family and I had the pleasure in staying here on a whim mid-week and it was exactly what we needed - a quiet retreat to relax! We were welcomed by the kind woman at the front and was given keys to our suite while learning about the wildlife and different whale sightings. Snacks, binoculars, and matches (for the fireplace) are offered as part of your stay so be sure to grab those on your way out. The suite was spacious and pleasant with great views of the sound. There was a fireplace with a handful of Duraflame logs to keep the fire aflame throughout our stay. All non-alcoholic drinks in the mini fridge were inclusive. The rooms were overall well kept especially with pet accommodations on custom Orvis branded beds! Although the Spa and Restaurant are temporarily closed due to Covid, the Inn does provide in-room breakfast service per person per stay. Just be sure to fill out the meal ticket located in your room and drop it off in the menu box outside of the office. During our stay, we had the lemon crepe, acai bowl and spanish tortilla. All were delicious! Current offerings do vary pending on the time of your stay. If youre traveling by an e-vehicle, there are charging stations on the premise as you make your way through the underpass. Our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable. We would surely come back! I would highly suggest booking far in advance as availabilities are hard to come by.

Yelp
My husband found this great place on a whim after we decided last minute to go on a staycation for our 1 year wedding anniversary. I was excited that we were able to get a reservation here. We booked a King size pet friendly room with water view. They have really good Covid protocols currently in place. Only one group is allowed in the office at a time. Breakfast choices are filled out on a card that's left in your room and then dropped off in the black Breakfast menu box right outside the office. You also get to choose the window time you want it to be dropped off at as well. Then the next morning, they deliver breakfast straight to you. Check out is super easy as well, just leave the key in your room, send a text to the front office, and you're ready to go. It was great. The spa and restaurant are currently closed. We got there around 1:30 pm, and the front desk lady was very helpful. Our room was luckily ready (check in is at 3 pm), and she gave me the run down on all the new Covid protocols. When we got to our room, we were immediately in awe. The view is absolutely gorgeous. The balcony to our room is great as well. There were two comfy looking chairs out there. The room was very spacious and had a very cozy fireplace. They provided the logs as well for the fire. The bathroom? My dream bathroom. It had one of those giant shower heads that make you feel like you're in a rainfall. They also had a separate huge tub that my husband was in love with. There's also an opening right next to the tub, so you can take a bath and watch TV at the same time. It was great. There was also a doggie bed, bags, and bowls for our little corgi pup as well. She loved the place. Breakfast options were good, not our favorite, but still delicious. Our favorite breakfast was surprisingly the hard boiled eggs, yogurt/fruit/granola option. It was fantastic. They also provided orange/grapefruit juice and coffee. And some homemade baked good. There are also free snacks in the office you can grab when the office is open. Along with silverware/plates if you're doing take out and want to eat off a plate. The beach area was very peaceful and calming as well. Our pup loved taking walks there in the morning. There is a dog washing station as well. I loved all the little touches they had everywhere. There was a a cute little garden. There are two Tesla charging stations in the lot as well. (If you don't have that charger connection, there's 2 more chargers one street over that's super close for you to charge at). Overall, our stay was extremely relaxing and peaceful. It was very quiet there, I don't think we saw any other guests during our stay there. It's a very close walk to multiple restaurants as well. My husband, pup, and I were all extremely happy. I can't wait to come back.

Yelp
For dinner, we had the chef's tasting menu. Among the dishes were chawanmushi with parsnips, tuna crudo with kimchi, garlic bread, buckwheat waffle with uni, tortellini with truffles, and scallops with sabayon. Don't miss the breakfast buffet.

Yelp
A very special place in a cute town. Have the dining experience of a lifetime. It will become fixed in your memory.

Yelp
We love this location! We travel here multiple times a year. Location is great. Service is wonderful, breakfast is delicious. We love that we can bring our dog. Everyone is kind and we will continue to come back again and again.

Yelp
We got so lucky to get a room here after seeing that no rooms were available online. We called anyway and were told that they just had a cancellation. It definitely is a romantic getaway vibe with rooms overlooking Puget Sound. Our balcony had chairs to relax and take it all in. For dinner, there are some good restaurants within walking distance but the first one was so full that they weren't taking any more names for seating so we went to a more upscale place and we barely made seating with a 20 minute wait. It was a Friday night so I'd recommend to go out to dinner no later than 5:30 pm. After dinner we really enjoyed a good movie by the fireplace and wonderful snacks that were provided in the lobby at check-in. The bathtub overlooks the water with a candle and sea salts to use. It's big enough for two people and there are cozy robes to lounge in afterwards! Breakfast (included) was delicious. I hope to return someday and let Matt, the owner, know that we really enjoyed our time there.

Sharon G.

Yelp
This was my third tasting menu at Inn at Langley. It was very disappointing. We had been friendly greeted at the door with an aperitif and seated. The food by Chef Matt was beautiful and very creative. We had 10 courses. It was a magical evening. The next time we were greeted and it was the penultimate dinner by Chef Matt and everyone was jovial and enjoying each exceptional course. We were anxious to try the tasting menu with the new kitchen staff. There was a tepid greeting and the room smelled strongly of gas which must have been coming from the kitchen. It did dissipate eventually. I was having a hypoglycemic episode and requested some bread or a cracker. Perhaps not understanding the immediacy of the illness the bread did not come for quite a while. The "snack" course was tasty as was the carrot course. The "brioche" was more like a hum bow and the ravioli was gummy. The fish was perfectly cooked except for sitting in a pool of curdled cream. The dessert was delicious and beautiful. $165 for 6 courses plus 22% gratuity seemed steep for what was a somewhat unremarkable meal. The only photo I took was of the dessert.

Yelp
This review is about the spa at the Inn at Langley! Avoid this place at all costs! It is vastly overpriced for the services you get, Appointments rarely start on time and there seems to be a "negative" energy throughout! Not impressed. For the price I expected first class service.
google avatar

Yelp
I had a wonderful massage here by Emily M. She was more than welcoming, and I felt very comfortable throughout the whole process. She has amazing skills and I was the most relaxed I had felt in a very long time. She was kind and thoughtful as well as professional but also personable. I HIGHLY recommend Emily M and the inn at Langley for all your spa needs!

Yelp
This is an excellent place for a relaxing getaway ! Came here for much needed R and R. Conveniently located in the cute town of Langley so easy walking distance to all the cute local shops and restaurants in town. Also located right on the water over looking Saratoga passage with Camano island in sight. There was an old timey spy glass in my room that was fun to use to look for whales (no luck) or look at passing boats or water fowl. Another plus was the real wood burning fire place which adds another level of relaxation for me. Duraflame logs provides from the front desk. Sadly spa service closed due to Covid so ill need to try next time! Staff were so nice as well and accomodating! Ideal place if you need some peace and quiet!

Yelp
Wow. Just wow. What a beautiful, dreamy place this inn is. We took an impromptu trip to Whidbey and decided to stay in one of their 'cabins' for the night. This two floor (essentially a condo) "room" was spectacular. Right off of the beach with water views, full sliding doors on both levels to take in the scenery and breeze, two fireplaces, stunning spa-like bathroom with an enormous soaking tub, Harmon Kardon sound system, brand new tv, gourmet breakfast...honestly, I never wanted to leave. This place, we found out, was lovingly designed and built by a local architect and his wife and to this day, is still owned by the original family. The restaurant sounds absolutely incredible and will be reopening at the end of July - we can't wait for the opportunity to try it out. The spa was also closed for the time being due to Covid - I am excited for the day it reopens. This place didn't even feel real. A really unique place; we will certainly be back.

Drop Zone T.

Yelp
Lovely place to stay and fabulous food at breakfast and dinner. The best meal we have had in a long time- thoughtful preparation, incredible flavor. We both had a cauliflower with a white mole to die for, and black cod- exceptional. We even ordered a second salad, it was so good. Don't miss this. Spendy, but worth it.

Yelp
Our stay at was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is very clean, peaceful, very PNW. We were greeted by the Chef that was working at the reception desk that day. He was so sweet and helpful, since the restaurant is closed, he gave us dinner recommendations and scored. The dog bed, dog bowls and doggy bags were a plus, we didn't expect it at all. Our poodles, were so happy. They enjoyed relaxing on the porch, and walking along the boardwalk/beach with us. I must mention, they also have a dog wash station on premises, ++! Let me now tell you about the room... All their rooms are ocean view, they are clean, and spacious, the tub was very clean, we missed out on using it. You do get a really good waterfront view directly from the tub. The king size bed was so comfortable, impeccably clean sheets. At night, we enjoyed seating on the porch looking at the sky and were lucky enough to spot a few shooting stars, the milky way and Mars, believe it or not. The Inn also offers free breakfast, delivered right to your door and it was really, really, really good. Really wished we could have stayed longer, but we will be back soon.

Yelp
Amazing experience here during Covid. The inn at Langley is well known among locals as one of the most luxurious and relaxing hotels on Whidbey island. Located in Langley, short 20 min drive from the port at Clinton. Amazing sweeping views of Saratoga bay with plenty of outdoor seating. Town of Langley is literally a 1 min walk with plenty of great eateries. Front desk is only staffed 9AM to 6PM (highly recommended to get there at that time due to amazing complimentary snacks). Super friendly - we arrived after 9PM however but our keys were ready in a lockbox. Parking can be a bit tight but plenty of street parking if needed. Rooms are on 4 levels, no elevator but small property so very short haul. Got a room on the top floor, decent sized bedroom with two armchairs and small tables for eating purposes. Large comfy king bed, amazing bathroom space and soaking tub. Some of the best bath products from three sisters, super luxurious. Also free bath salts and log for the fireplace. Large outdoor balcony you could pitch a tent on if you want (though cold and windy). Unfortunately no wildlife sighting except birds. Also. The complimentary breakfast is shaving. Some of the best avocado toast i had, and even the simple yogurt, fruit, granola, and hard boild eggs with truffle salt was great. They freshly bake their own goods, not to be missed.

Yelp
I have been to the Inn at Langley a few times over the last 10 years. I am so glad to see their restaurant and spa open again. Their weekend dinner rivals the Herbfarm for quality, creativity and experience. Their spa has a great steam room you can book before or after their massage. Their massages were some of the best I've ever had. The rooms are lovely with a comfortable bed, fireplaces, free snacks and stocked fridge, soaking tubs and views of the water from every room.

Yelp
The better half and I wanted to have a short getaway for our anniversary and selected Whidbey Island as the place we wanted to visit. On the island, you have four major towns, Clinton, Langley, Coupville, and Oak Harbor. In all those locations there are different hotels that you can stay at and a few AirBnBs that are around. We selected the Inn at Langley as it looked to be the nicest hotel and we have no regrets for our decision. We stayed in the Saratoga Suite, which is located down the road from the main building overlooking the sound. The suite was large, comfortable, had a nice fireplace, well lit, a fully stocked kitchen, and a nice bathroom. The bed had sufficient pillows, and the outdoor view area was excellent. Binoculars are provided and we did see several harbor seals in the bay. Our one mistake here was leaving some cheese that we bought in the fridge. Sadly we live too far away to return and retrieve it. The hotel serves breakfast every morning, it was delivered right on time, was more than enough for the two of us, and was fresh. The staff at the hotel were super polite and provided excellent recommendations for dinner. They also helped with flowers in the room and provided some other recommendations of things to do around town. As this is during a pandemic, the spa and dinner area was closed but that doesn't matter as the hotel itself is perfect. Wifi was included, parking is free, and the views are fantastic. Things to consider: visit here when the weather is decent as you will love the view if you get the Saratoga. Do not forget your cheese in the room :-( you will miss it. Honestly, this is the best place to stay on Whidbey. Do check it out!

Yelp
Love the inn at Langley. This is our second stay here. Beautiful, relaxing, amazing food. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Stayed here in early September for our anniversary. We were eagerly waiting for the restaurant to re-open from the COVID break. This eight course meal was outstanding and exceeded our expectations. Chef Matt Costello and his team created magic on this full harvest moon night. Creative passion, meticulous presentation and superb cuisine with locally sourced ingredients was served. Planning a return. Beautifully done and a fun evening too.. Plan your seaside sanctuary getaway to the Inn at Langley.

Yelp
Wonderful staycation, 5 stars all around. I love the local vibes of Whidbey Island and the staff is genuinely kind. Any room booked will have a view of the water, and breakfast is included. I'd highly recommend dinner. They have a Sommelier Level 3 who was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the wine pairings with dinner. Head chef Matt Costello and sous chef Emily ran a great dinner service. The ingredients in the 9 course prix fix menu were seasonal and you could taste the freshness in each bite. My favorite was the wagyu beef and the Alaskan halibut. Every dish was jam packed with so many layers of flavor. The experience: My favorite part was sitting on the patio with a bottle of champagne (came with the package I purchased) reading my newspaper, hearing the waves, and having a gorgeous view. Then coming inside to a rain shower head or bathtub, which gave you views to the water and the tv. Such a great experience! Dog-friendly! I also took my pup with me who had her own doggy bed and a dog wash station next to the beach. Free parking which is always a plus. The ferry ride over was quick and easy, or you could take deception pass if you're looking for a more scenic drive.

Yelp
Awesome restaurant. I went here on a culinary arts field trip with my class a couple years ago and it was the most amazing experience. The menu was fun and new, and although it was a fixed menu, they were very accommodating to my vegetarian dietary restrictions. The best mashed potatoes I've ever had. Fabulous service, and even the bathroom was cool! It is pricey, but well worth it.

Yelp
The most peaceful stay of 2022! Much needed for R&R, this place is perfect for couples. It's quiet and serene and my partner loved the in room tub, the deck was beautiful and we enjoyed the beach access. We saw eagles, heron, seagulls, and more all from our private deck. The room isn't pretentious, but it has everything you need. The furs logs for the fireplace made it extra special. Make sure to request extras because once you light one it is hard to let it burn out! The included breakfast was a surprise, normally we would sleep in and skip but this one is worth every waking moment. The pastry was a ginger orange muffin and it was so good I took one for later. The food was cooked to perfection, the chef definitely knows what they are doing and deserves recognition!! Just lovely. The whole stay was above and beyond, the only problem I encountered was a light that was broken and dangling from the ceiling but I can't even take a star off for that tbh.

Yelp
Great place and staff. We loved our room and location to the beach and town. We would definitely stay at this place again

Yelp
My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of staying here for our anniversary and experiencing what was, by far, the most amazing dining adventure ever. I'm not talking about safaris or jungle environments; the decor and settings were modern and immaculate in every respect. The food however, took us through flavors from all over the world with each course. Think about the pleasure you felt as a child riding 'It's a Small World at Disney Land' for the first time. Each new course served was equally as exciting as entering a new room on the ride- except now you're an adult and stationary- you just feel like you're floating as you set your fork down and you're savoring every bite. Oh and now you have an amazingly paired wine with nearly every course. The space is intimate and yet open and inviting in every detail. We were escorted to our hotel room at check in and shown all of the features of our beautiful room overlooking the Puget Sound. We were then invited to explore the dining room and talk to the staff. Emily, their Chef de Cuisine, showed us around and where we would eventually be seated for the evening's meal. After checking out the space, we had plenty of time to walk around and discover the artsy coastal town of Langley before dinner. Dinner was a multi-course extravagantly planned delight from the moment we walked in the door. We were greeted and seated by Emily and their amazing sommelier with a French sparking rosé that I've searched for ever since. You just can't get a rosé or sparkling rosé with that complexity of flavor. Nine courses followed (and each was a new mind bending experience), but I'd like to highlight what, somehow, stood out beyond the other courses. I say that with so much reservation because to say that any course was less than the other is a discredit to the finest levels of dining; the staff here are taking food to the next level year round. There were nine courses! Served at the same time around the room and each with its own flare and individualism. Every detail was accounted for. Nine courses. Nine. Hard to choose, so I start my review with their second course- sunchoke, garlic crab, and dashi. My wife and I eat out a lot. And cook a lot. We consider ourselves foodies and our friends/family generally agree that we hold a high standard for the food that we consume... I could have eaten this all night and every day for the rest of my life. I like a good Miso Soup... this was as if you had taken Miso Soup to the 100th level and the threw in crab for protein. The flavor balance was on point as was the wine pairing. The texture, the temperature, the flavor... my word, the way it hit the palate was exquisite. I've had only a few meals where I had to set the fork down for a bite. I was in for ride tonight since the first course was basically their interpretation of various popular drink choices (also amazing). Skip a round (though DO NOT if you are actually dining here) and we were served house-made buckwheat, Alba truffle and chestnuts in a pasta that helped me finally understand truffles and truffle oil. I've had fries and other foods that are supposedly infused with truffles. I say "not so" from now on- I have now experienced real-life use of truffles and truffle oil in a way that highlighted the other flavors of the pasta that brought umami to the forefront like never before. Then the Wagyu came a couple of rounds later. I don't have wagyu often, or nearly ever if truth be told, but I do eat a lot steak at home and we know what we're doing on the grill. The A5 Wagyu, carrot and tarragon course was hands down the most enjoyable thing my palate has ever experienced. The flavors achieved are unmatchable. I don't even like tarragon. No matter, Chef Emily produced a trifecta that I have never experienced prior and only hope to experience again. Exquisite is beyond short of a compliment. I can't stress enough- if you enjoy food, please make the time to experience this. It will forever be the standard my wife and I look for the rest of our lives.

Yelp
Our room was beautiful -- we had a great view from our private deck. I especially loved the spyglass in the room for spotting wildlife (we didn't see any whales, unfortunately). The shower and tub overlooking the water were also beautiful. We were celebrating our first anniversary and the Inn greeted us with a bottle of wine and card, which was a really nice touch. The room was stocked with snacks (some of which were on the healthier side, thankfully, to balance out the delicious chocolates handmade from the shop in town, which we immediately devoured). Everyone at the desk was very attentive, answering our many questions, giving recommendations and even finding us an extra blanket so we could sit out on the deck in the evening and stay warm. We borrowed the Inn's two bikes and took a self-guided tour of the island, which is beautiful. We also took advantage of the free movie tickets and went to an old-timey movie theater just a short walk down the street, which was a lot of fun! We also ate dinner at the Inn. I could spend pages raving about the meal (all 11 courses, including a surprise rhubarb course not listed on our personalized menu) so I will keep it short -- this was one of the most delicious, beautiful and creative meals I have ever eaten. The service as well as the beautiful dining room also made this truly an unforgettable dining experience, and well worth the cost. We couldn't have been happier with our stay or picked a more special place to celebrate our first anniversary!

Yelp
This place works on all levels. I've Been wanting to come for almost 30 years. Worth the wait. Still fresh and is all about quality and understated luxury. The included breakfast was amazing as was the warm table visit from Pam, one of the owners. I will go back.

Yelp
Recently spent a few nights there and found it quite relaxing even during COVID times. The Inn went out of its way to make checking in etc quite easy. Our dog loved the beach and the town. Many restaurants were dog friendly. Couple of things to know that will undoubtedly change as the pandemic ends. First if you need a very early cup of coffee plan ahead. The Inn brings breakfast including fantastic coffee but not before 7:45AM at the earliest. Coffee places in town didn't open till 9AM. Also you'll need reservations for many restaurants including patio seating. That was our first night surprise but luckily we were able to get some take out burgers. Not all places will do take out right now. But other than those small things which were not much of a bother at all, it's a great destination.

Yelp
We really like this place! It is not fancy but full of personal touches and just a beautiful peaceful place to spend a few days. They walked us to our room, had an anniversary card in the room, the owner stopped and talked to us at breakfast and there are just a bunch of quality touches all over. Oh yeah and don't forget the view - amazing! The spa was also amazing. I have never done a steam room before. It was really nice paired with one of the best massages I have had in a long time. We can't wait to come back!

Yelp
The view is spectacular, the bed is a stone slab. Not only is it hard as a rock, there is an apex in the middle so you spend all night trying not to roll out of the bed. For over $500 per night, I expect to sleep. The only good thing about not sleeping the entire night is that you get to enjoy the sunrise, which begins at 5 am. The room is also open to the bathroom, so prepare to experience all those special bathroom moments together.

Yelp
I came here on a much needed self care trip. Everything about the property and the room is pleasant, calming, clean and inviting. I spent my days walking on the beach and around the sweet little town of Langley - visiting the bookstore, getting snacks at the Star Store and lunch at the Bistro. I loved the huge soaking tub that looks out over the water and the cozy bed and fireplace. Despite the kitchen and spa being closed due to COVID, they had a great breakfast delivery service. Their customer service was impressive - being just a text away with anything I needed. My stay was the perfect healing getaway and I can't wait to return.

Yelp
Fantastic hotel perfectly situated in the heart of Langley. The property seems dated but clean and well kept otherwise. I think all rooms have a view of the sound. They had complementary snacks from Dean and Deluca plus soft drinks and sparkling water in our room when we arrived. I do like how breakfast is included, buffet style in their restaurant upstairs. Full service spa is available. Overall great hotel in Langley.

Yelp
Couldn't be happier w our stay here. The view from the room is absolutely stunning, breakfast is top notch, and it is dog friendly so we were able to bring our pup on our weekend adventure! Location is just a block from the main strip in Langley, but the hotel is still super peaceful. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Very peaceful day like atmosphere thought the entire place. Rooms are lovely, large jetted tubs, comfortable needs, fireplaces and the views cannot be beat. I would definitely recommend this for a relaxing get away!

Yelp
Beautiful experience!! There are restaurant meals and there are experiences. Both of which involve food, amazing food even made from quality products, beautiful settings, skillsets in making intricate dishes using variety of tasty morsels. Be it a fine dining restaurant with beautiful white linens all around or that one tiny hut on the dirt road you found in the middle of Thira that uses fire pit to cook everything. Or maybe that one place on sukumvit in Thailand because they make the best seafood meals past wee hours using one pot while you save your feet from getting run over by the tuks tuks. Memorable meals always consist of unique experiences. And this place: this place definitely made my top twenty. Everything was beautiful from start to finish. The charm of this wonderful secluded town , amazing people at the front desk or the beautiful, charming inn itself and locally source food and wine pairing all came together in making that one perfect evening. Getting here was a hassle with the ferry being overbooked and sold out but once I reached here, I was at complete ease. Made it right on time for our seven pm dinner. Even had enough time to explore and take pictures around the inn. Reception: champagne reception in the front garden was charming and set the tone of the evening. A beautiful one at that. Once you are inside: dinner start promptly at 7 pm. We were seated by the entrance and windows overlooking the garden. Dinning room was right next to the open kitchen. One can see, smell, feel and be part of the unique meal! They have two different wine pairings: chef pairing is $95 extra but comes with 5 tastings and an option to revisit any wine you chose. Or the $55 for three tastings. You can also choose to do bottles of red, white, champagne or rose from their extensive list of wine. I wanted something light, pink and French but dry. My maître de brought me exactly what I want in a beautiful bottle. it was a perfectly dry rose! On to the dinner portion: we started with many beautiful things. There were beet salad and goat cheese made into magical little bites. Manhattan ~ the drink injected into a cherry. French onion soup in a bite size dough like ball, raviolo in edible film. All so beautiful! My favorite~ artichoke custard with fresh caught Dungeness crab and chicken skin. Made to perfection. It is sweet, savory, crunchy, soft, crispy, rich and all kinds of amazing. Had over 9 courses of beautiful things. I ooh and ahh to most of them. Chef came out and explained to us what we were eating. He even brought the wine bottles and such. It was a four person run dinner for 18 lucky guests. Attention to details feel that much more intensified. One can taste the love in these dishes!! And yet, its word of mouth only place. And cutting off the decorative balls to serve as the dessert? Magic. All in all, it definitely was a beautiful experience for me. Everything from the little name cards t tiny radish, clams, lamb loins, trio of fun and grandmas purse were perfect. Food is important part of our lives. I'm a little more obsessive in the sense that I can not share a meal with people I don't enjoy. I also will skip a meal that I am not thrill about and drink coffee instead. Because, it is better to feel hungry and be full on mediocre food. This place however gave me the most beautiful food, amazing service and one incredible evening. So much so that I ate every bite!! Never thought it could happens. But it did :) Thanks Chef, staff and everyone! Thanks for a beautiful evening!!! Can't wait to return.

Yelp
Wow! Amazing! One of the best in the PNW. I booked a "Weekend Getaway" for my husband's birthday celebration. It includes couples massage (60mins), dinner sampler with thee amazing chef Matt Costella and sparkling wine upon arrival. This place was perfect! Great view, staff, facilities, and just about everything! We booked a corner room that promised us a full view of the passage, which we received. However, once you step out to the balcony, you can see into your neighbors room. Oops! But it wasn't a problem for us, once the blinds were closed, everything was perfect! 5 STARS for the dinner and massage. Dinner was AMAZING! Food was delicious, they were able to accommodate our food preference (vegetarian) and we were so impressed with the combination of everything. The massage was the perfect ending during our last night. They knew how to work those kinks out! Oh, can't forget about the breakfast, it was as delicious as our dinner!
