Comfortable stay at a convenient location. Valet parking is available for $25 per day. Street parking is available but becomes very limited late afternoon and evening. This building has great character and is almost 100 years old. The units have been repainted and furniture replaced since our last visit. We stayed in a one bedroom, management-please consider adding a trash can and towel ring in the sink area, it would make a big difference.

What a pleasant surprise for our San Diego staycation. Had some leftover Wyndham timeshare points to use and decided to check out Inn at the Park. Was surprised to see that it actually has three branded timeshares who are all part of Wyndham now, but they appear to have chosen to keep their own identity. Wyndham owners get the top three floors, WordMark has the lower three. Shell Vacations is in there somewhere. But the real treat was the hotel itself. At ninety-nine years old, this former Park Manor Apartment Suites, has been converted into a lovely untypical place to stay; not your typical timeshare resort. We were in a corner 2-bedroom unity with views (though distant) of both Mission Bay and overlooking parts of Balboa Park. The hotel is going through renovations and ours was one that had been completed. Nice kitchen with banquette seating (quite unique). Room had carpet throughout which is not the norm these days and much appreciated by my feet. The 7th floor houses the timeshare folks, but also has an almost-180-degree panoramic view (actually feels like you are on a cruise ship up there). The staff are friendly (and not as pushy with regards to timeshare presentations) and helpful. Parking is $25/day on the lot behind the hotel. It's a mile walk to the entrance to Balboa Park, under a canopy of trees, so very pleasant. There are also dining options within walking distance. It is a car/Uber/Lyft ride away from Little Italy, Gaslamp District, or Petco Park where some Padre baseball can be found. This all makes this stay a bit quieter than being right downtown where Wyndham's other San Diego property is located. Highly recommend if you want a little space but still enjoy all that San Diego has to offer.

We stayed here for a week while visiting San Diego. The location is great and you can walk to quite a few places. Keep in mind it's on the other side of the park from the zoo so that's about a 25-minute walk. Rooms are very spacious and nice with a full kitchen and a nice bathroom. I'm knocking the room down one star because there was no closet and no way to hang up clothes. Service is very friendly and they know San Diego well so can give you good advice. Note that this is a time share / Hotel so you'll be asked discreetly if you're interested in a presentation on the timeshare. I didn't do this but if you do this there are some nice incentives

Some of the hotel staff are super nice. Some of the hotel staff will question why you need new towels like they own the place. They won't clean your room unless you put in a request. If I was to pick a hotel again this wouldn't be my first choice.

I will first and foremost say, I do not recommend this time share hotel property, whatever you want to call it. I booked a 7 day stay here to use my points and celebrate my birthday along with the 4th of July. The first night, we found bugs and hair on the let out bed that could not be cleaned until the next morning. My family and I asked for extra sheets because we don't sleep under the covers and they gave us a hard time about that. We asked for towels daily because we shower twice a day and they complained and argued with us sharing that we were asking for too many towels even though we placed the used towels outside of our door every day. Everytime we called for items, we had to wait up to 25 minutes. Supposedly they don't clean your room unless you ask. I also found 2 unauthorized charges on my credit card two nights in a row and when I shared it with the front desk person, they acted like they didn't know what I was talking about. I was so frustrated and upset that I couldn't even sleep not knowing if someone from this hotel was stealing my card information. I finally talk to someone who said they reversed the charges but they are still pending on my credit card. The customer service here is poor and they don't care how they treat guest. The room is old with new paint and modern decor, this hotel definitely needs to be gutted and remodeled. There were also gnats in the room and the toilet paper and tissue is so cheap, it's no wonder why guest go through it so quickly. If they provided quality tissue and paper towels, they might last a little longer. I am so glad I only purchased points and not a timeshare membership. Wyndham Worldmark are frauds. They sell you one thing and give you something else. Some of staff made this 7 days unbearable. I only stayed because I paid for this and I know these crooks definitely would not give me my money back. The only good thing about this place is the location and the valet guys during the day shifts. Next time I'll stay at a Hilton property.

This is a beautiful, older hotel that is located next to a park and convenient for seeing various parts of San Diego. The accommodations are spacious and well appointed. Staff members are particularly friendly and helpful.

Nicely sized, well designed room. Soft bed and pillows. Good location. Valet is very polite and fast getting our car. The one complaint I have is that it is currently 7:15am on a Saturday, and they are loudly rearranging the furniture upstairs while wearing construction boots (by the sound of it).

Google
As you may know, this hotel is old. Like 100 years old. While it has had a few renovations, I don’t think it is enough. They use this “old Hollywood” aesthetic as an excuse for outdated rooms and decor. The blinds were old and torn, the elevators take forever, and the rooms have a smell that is comparable to a retirement home. Also, don’t forget that this is a timeshare and they WILL try to stop you on your way in and out and call you when you get back to the room and first thing in the morning to sell you on their packages. Simply do not engage. This is not something desired on your vacation. A few upsides to this hotel are that the beds and pillows are actually quite comfy, better than some nicer hotels I’ve stayed at before. The #1 best thing about this place is the location. It is very close to everything and is right downtown. HOWEVER, this happened to be its biggest downfall as well. We were placed in a corner room and there happened to be construction and a bus stop RIGHT OUTSIDE. You can hear every single car pass by, every bird chirp, every person talking. The construction started at 5AM. This was the worst street noise I have ever experienced at a hotel. I understand that it is downtown but there is absolutely no insulation. The windows sounded like they were wide open. On top of that, the hotel started doing their own renovations on the 5th and 6th floors at 8am which could be heard from the 3rd floor. For this reason, we did not stay more than 1 night (originally we had booked 4 nights). The noise was just too unbearable. There is no complimentary breakfast, pool, or much of anything you may hope to see at a hotel. Valet is $25 a night unless you can find street parking. This was a very middle of the line hotel and I will not stay again until serious renovations are made.

Yelp
Fabulous service. Small historical site converted from apartments to hotel/ timeshare. Most personal, friendly service I have ever had. Xavier was outstanding in concierge services. From desk exceptional. No pool but beautiful rooftop views of harbor and sunsets. Very walkable to local small restaurants. Other guests friendly.

Yelp
3.5 Historic, quaint, upgraded nicely, surrounded by family eateries, park. Walking distance to ... Valet only for $25 a day, w/in and out privileges NO POOL. NO ROOFTOP BBQ

Yelp
We read all the reviews before we booked this placed. Most of the negative reviews were about being hounded to buy a time share. We did not have this issue, in fact no one approached us other than when we first checked in. We went over to the concierge, and he just asked if we wanted to attend a 90-minute presentation. We did not and that was the end of that. The room was awesome and the service was outstanding. This hotel was built in 1926 but has been renovated. It has the character of an old hotel which we loved

Yelp
I stayed here a few nights over the weekend. I had stayed here over a decade ago when it was under different ownership. The property has been well maintained and is still a great place to stay in this area. It's good for morning walks around the park and fun spots for a bite or a drink. Its in a very walkable location and easy to get to other surrounding attractions with a car. The rooms are big and spacious and you have all you need to whip up a snack or cook a full sit down meal. The staff were very courteous and helpful during all of my interactions. I was taken back a little by the request for the timeshare pitch but I politely declined.

Yelp
Immediately upon check in, they tried to talk us into going to a time share talk the next morning. They tried to entice us with paying for our parking and gift cards. Not something I want you want to deal with while on a relaxing vacation. They should disclose this before you book. The 7th floor, while it has a small gym, is basically a time share selling operation. So your response shows a complete lack of remorse or understanding of your hotels actions . You still won't admit that the purpose of your hotel is to sell time shares. You do so in a subtle, manipulative manner.

Yelp
They canceled our rooms less than 48 hours prior to our arrival and made no real effort to assist us with making alternative arrangements. Reading other reviews, we are not the only guests to enjoy this treatment. I would strongly recommend you book a real hotel and stay away from this bogus timeshare property.

Yelp
We just love this place. We own timeshare here and it's our fave for a quick getaway. There are several things that draw us back to this location; it's quiet, the building has personality, (it's not a concrete box with 300 rooms), the staff here has always been really accommodating, I like Jimmy Carters Mexican joint right across the street, it's in a great location close to both I-5 and CA 163 freeways and the Hillcrest District a few blocks away. We come down a couple times a year and just kind of hang out and decompress from everyday life. Only downside is the $25.00 per day for valet parking.

Yelp
Came here for a timeshare presentation. Its amazing how presentations went from 90 minutes to 120 minutes! I did one in Vegas a decade ago and it has changed. This is part of the Wyndham group and while we arrived 30 minutes early because I wrote the wrong time, it gave us time to park and use the bathroom facilities. The employees were friendly and took us through a one-on-one walk through up on the 3rd floor (if I remember correctly) they offered coffee and water, as well as burritos. I guess when the sales pitch was made to us we were sold on the free "brunch" - and I dont think halfed burritos qualify as a brunch. In any event, we opt to skip "brunch" They also have you do a group presentation which was interesting and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, I guess we were expecting a walk through of their rooms. They did offer lower packages if you opt to not buy into the timeshare but at this time, we walked away. It was definitely hassle-free as we were asked but not pressured while you do speak with 3-4 different employees in case you change your mind.

Yelp
I LOVE this place! More of a nostalgic Boutique vibe and so close to Balboa park. If you like to walk and breathe in the sights this is the place. Great rooftop views, walking distance to some great restaurants and breweries. The only reason for 4 stars is the elevator is slow and there aren't that many amenities like a pool or jacuzzi. I have stayed here over 10 times and the rooms are always clean and perfect

Yelp
We reserved with Inn at the Park 3 months in advance in order to ensure a smooth and comfortable trip to San Diego. The afternoon prior to our stay, we received a call from the premise stating our stay could not be accommodated. The hotel had overbooked. This was a result of poor operational management in the facility as our stay should not have been canceled due to our timely reservation. This hotel has no remorse for individuals who plan in advance. Thankfully there are other hotels in the area that offer additional amenities and we found a better alternative. Due to the lack of accommodation that the Inn at the Park offers, we were able to have a wonderful experience elsewhere.

Yelp
I stayed at the Wyndham by the Bay and was lured into seeing a presentation by a representative stationed on a podium at the guests elevators. They wanted us to go immediately to the presentation but I refused. I'm on vacation! Ultimately we decided to go the Inn at the park to receive two free nights and a $100 gift card before we flew out. Yes, of course, I know nothing is free and I shouldn't be surprised that Wyndham is double dealing or not being honest about how these "free gifts" are not immediately tangible or received without jumping through another hoop. I was told I get the gift card after the first presentation, that is a LIE! You do not receive the 100 gift card until you book your free two night stay, for a future date, and attend another (second) 2 hour presentation. So after the second two hour presentations you may get the gift card according to the fine print in the contract. I have yet to reach this point. But it's not the agreement we were sold on! And the salesman was not a happy camper because we didn't want to buy points and was curt with us. I could go on about the trickery. And one part of the presentation with grandpa Ben needs to be changed. It definitely left a sour taste in my families mouth. To explain how important vacation and rest/relaxation is for humans, he said that even the slave owners back in the day gave their slaves days off to rest. You have got to be kidding me. I'm know there are better examples you can use to illustrate the importance of a healthy work life balance. The opportunity cost of lost time is high. I feel scammed. I left with no $100 gift card as promised. And if I want it I must sit through another presentation.

Yelp
Smack dab in the heart of San Diego. Positioned right next to the Balboa Park this is the ideal spot to be if you want to be in close proximity to Downtown, little Italy, north park, hillcrest, the zoo, mission valley. I usually score a 2 bedroom with a kitchenette. Only once I've used the kitchen to cook, because I am literally surrounded by delish food walking distance from here. My fave spots to eat nearby walking distance are: sisters pizza, Cucina Urbana, azuki sushi, extraordinary desserts, barrio star, cafe bassam. All these are walking distance. There's plenty more if you want to hop on a scooter or Uber or drive. The vibe is chill it has this early 1900's architecture inside the decor is modern 50's 60's. They have valet but if you can score a parking spot across the street it's free. No breakfast on site, who needs it with all the grub just walking distance. Nice roof top views and a functional gym! Technically I give this 3.5 stars. If it had a pool it would be 4 stars.

Yelp
Typical thieving timeshare. Got signed up at the San Diego Home Show by David. Was told we needed to give a $40.00 deposit to secure a spot at a "great brunch" on a Sunday at 10:30 and listen to a 2 hour presentation on the benefits of Wyndham Club membership. At arrival we would be refunded our deposit. At 7:30 the night before we were contacted by David via text that the brunch had been downgraded to "snacks" because of " a spike in the pandemic."I asked for my deposit back as that is not what we signed up for. Would not refund it. Stay away from Wyndham Club and their lies and fraudulent business practices

Lucia A.

Yelp
Horrible experience. They just cancelled my reservation that I did months in advance one day before my arrival. They just said that they were over booked and that they wouldn't have a room for me and my family. We had to book something last minute. Their reservation system shouldn't be trusted.

Lucas J.

Yelp
Worst neighbors ever. The guests are consistently clogging up the flow of traffic in both directions. They litterally stop, unload children or luggage and don't pay attention to on coming traffic. It's dangerous and annoying. Do better at directing the arrival of your guests. I'm sure you can read the other mediocre reviews about the accommodations.

Yelp
Stayed here on our trip to Boots In The Park. Very cool spot. It's definitely an older building that has been completely renovated and is pretty nice! Parking was a bummer because it's valet only and the shades in the room for the living room didn't work in either of the two rooms we had. Other than those two things it's a great location and place. Definitely wouldn't have a problem staying here again. Very courtesy customer service as well!!

Yelp
My parents are owners and I was able to utilize the timeshare this weekend for a wedding that I attended here in San Diego. The hotel is beautiful. The staff is nice. The room was very clean. HOWEVER , three stars because I was VERY IRRITATED and DISAPPOINTED with the amount of times I was SOLICITED about attending a timeshare meeting. As many times as I said that I was not interested, they CONTINUED to try to get me to attend the free breakfast and virtual tour. They called my room three times within less than 48 hours. Each time, I said I'm not interested. I understand that it may be in their job duties to try and get new owners, but I feel at this point that just the amount of times I was badgered with requests to sit in on the presentation definitely made me unwilling to attend. I won't mention the name of the staff member because she really was sweet, but I tried to be just as sweet when declining their offer and free gift cards. My parents have been timeshare owners for such a long time. And I am not interested in that type of investment. Please stop asking me. Changing my review to two stars based on other reviews because I see that the tactic of timeshare madness is definitely something their staff is pushed to pursue. Two stars because I think solicitation, harassment and trickery are horrible things to have to encounter on a vacation stay.

Yelp
Love the aesthetics of this place! Friendly valet service and the staff greets you every time you walk through the door. We stayed in the 2 bedroom, with a beautiful jack and hill bathroom, large living room area, and cute little galley style kitchen. Great views of Balboa park right across the street and a variety of great eating options within walking distance. Wish it had a pool, but beach is only about 15 minutes away.

Valerie B.

Yelp
There are specific employees that I think should be recognized for going above and beyond for being so kind. Diego at the sales desk, Elyse at check-in, Kayla at check-in and wine and cheese happy hour, Aaron at bingo & front desk and all of the valets! This hotel is obviously historic with charming squeaky floors. Bathrooms are tiny but adequate. Beds are comfortable and our room was clean and well equipped. Would have loved a hot tub! Sales pitch is a bit assertive.

Yelp
Came for a girls trip and had the best time! This hotel is super cute and trendy AF. Cute little patio and they have a rooftop bar upstairs (closes at 10pm) Valet is $20 a night or you can try to find parking around the neighborhood. WiFi available (I think up to 3 devices) The decor inside was so cute! Loved the little balcony in the king bed room. Nice city views of the street. Always busy and noisy with something going on downstairs. Located close to restaurants and a 7-Eleven. The staff was friendly and also gave recommendations to their favorite spots around town. I would definitely come back to stay here. Sad that the 2 bedroom only had 1 bathroom. Between the 6 ladies we made it work. Sheets and the whole rental was clean and gorgeous. Pictures will give you an idea. Not sure how the other rooms are decorated but we really loved ours.
google avatar

Yelp
Clean, nice size rooms and friendly staff. Parking is hard to find on the street, and expensive for valet, but they do offer. Nice decor, a vintage vibe. Would stay here again!

Yelp
I've never stayed at a boutique hotel before, but this was a great 1st one to try. The rooms are large, the kitchen is well equipped, and the bathroom is spacious. Bed is comfortable and there is plenty of natural lighting. The TV is placed in an area that isn't a straight view from the bed or the couch, but it's not terrible. Lots of character. There is only one elevator and it's a bit slow, but it's not as big of a deal as other people have made it out to be. Even during Comic-Con, there wasn't a problem getting in and out. Stairs are easy enough to use (for those who are capable). Service was pleasant. Parking costs money, but there was plenty of street parking within a block or two. Location was also good.

Yelp
Once I checked in to Inn at The Park, I realized I never wanted to check out! From the moment I stepped foot in this hotel, I knew I'd absolutely fall in love with this place and I'm so glad I was able to find this hotel last minute for my recent San Diego stay. First off, the location of this hotel is ideal if you're planning on visiting any of the major staples in San Diego such as the Zoo, Petco Park, Little Italy etc. Not to mention, there's a lot of restaurants and bars within walking distance which makes it easier to grab a quick bite or indulge in a nice dinner while you explore the SD area. Upon my arrival, I was graciously greeted by the front desk representative who was kind enough to let me check in early. There's no early check in fee and if they have a room available, they'll offer it to you right away so you can get all settled in. The hotel is a historical one and I loved the elegant vibes I got from the lobby and the quaint vibes I got in the elevator and down the halls as I made my way towards our room.We stayed in a studio suite on the 5th floor which was absolutely amazing because it had breathtaking views of SD, the comfiest beds, and an entire layout that included a walking in closet, fully equipped kitchen, and a cute dining area. Now you can see why I never wanted to leave! I felt like I had my only little SD studio apartment! Also, they do offer valet parking in their lot for $20 each night which is a steal compared to the valet parking prices in the surrounding area. The valet guys were always so quick to bring my vehicle around and even kind enough to help me unload and reload my bags into my car in a prompt and efficient manner. I can't stress this enough, I truly enjoyed my stay here and I can guarantee I will be staying at this hotel every time I return to the San Diego area. Trust me, you'll fall in love with this hotel just like I did and nothing else will ever be able to match it!

David M.

Yelp
If you are looking for a hotel with lots of amenities. This is not your hotel. If you are looking for a hotel with an attentive staff. This is not your hotel. If you are looking for a charming, older hotel, this may be your hotel. Our room was beautiful. Location ok. Staff was underwhelming, unhelpful , and just seemed all around disconnected unless you wanted to listen to their Time Share presentation. I have stayed at many Shell/Wyndham properties.... This was by far the worst as far as making you feel welcomed. Even as we were waiting for valet to bring our vehicle.... Desk asked if we were checking out. I said yes.... They said nothing.... Not even a thank you for staying! Horrible customer service.

Stacy E.

Yelp
Sweet boutique hotel. Clean and atmosphere was great. Customer service was great at front desk during checkin and checkout. Great Mexican restaurant around the corner would highly recommend #jimmys.

Yelp
Absolutely one of our favorite places to stay in SD. Actually it is either here or my sisters place. Booked this place as I am a WM owner. The negative..Kate was very pushy in her sales tactics. Avoided all eye contact with her. Rest of staff were very nice and welcoming. We wont stay anywhere else but here, but find it sometimes fully booked. Place is clean..comfortable accommodations. I had mini kitchen with electric cooktop, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Close to a lot of fun places. Love the decor!!

Yelp
The property looked to have been recently renovated, but from the inside, you could definitely tell that it was older building. The power outlets were in odd locations and some parts of the floor creaked. I liked that my room had a picture as a black out screen for the window. You can electronically raise and lower the picture to let in natural light. The room was very spacious and everything was clean. This place was pretty conveniently located, with a 7-Eleven right across the street as well as several very good dining locations all within walking distance. That was really nice, so you don't have to bring a vehicle especially with free parking spots being very limited in the area. As a WorldMark owner, I've pretty much stayed at all of the properties in the San Diego area. This was another fine location. This was my first time at this place and I picked it because I was here for the Rock n' Roll San Diego Marathon. The starting line was just outside, practically across the street. I would definitely not have a problem staying here again in the future.

Yelp
This is such a unique boutique hotel! The room and location was great! Kenny, our concierge, was so helpful with helping us navigate the city! He went above and beyond calling us an Uber, nice welcome gifts, and lots of suggestions on food and activities. Go see him if you want to purchase tickets for attractions! Note to the manager: The only thing I was taken back by was the timeshare presentation, I've sat through a few of these and this was on the pushier side. They also disclosed a TON of personal facts about the member I purchased the timeshare from for the weekend, super unprofessional. When I refused the first $54,000 timeshare offered, they came back with 4 more offers! They had a total of 3 different reps offering these (assuming maybe one would be "the closer"). They also hide behind a mirrored office to see how you're responding. Too many high sales pressure tactics that were so apparent. The experience of the hotel was a bit tainted by this, but it was kind of expected unfortunately that's why I'm not leaving less stars.

Yelp
So let's start with the good! This 1930s renovated apartment building is so charming - I love the little shower window! The decor is modern art deco and our suite was very clean. The kitchenette is well stocked, even more so than some full kitchens I've used at similar properties. There's an electronic shutter system disguised as artwork that reveals a beautiful view - I thought that was so cool. The staff is very welcoming and polite and there's lots of little extras like a goody bag for kids upon arrival, wine/chocolate if you note a special occasion, movie nights with popcorn and candy provided. Valet parking is cheap too at $20/night. So why 3 stars? This is a timeshare resort and as soon as you check in you are pressured to attend a presentation. This is not your average pressure. It's manipulation, as we were told that "because we aren't members" we are "required to attend" a brief welcoming presentation and assured, repeatedly, that it wasn't a timeshare presentation. Well, this isn't my first rodeo! I've done several timeshare presentations. I just didn't like the "no option but to attend" approach that Kenny gave us. What if we had a strict itinerary for our short 2 day stay that didn't allow for a 90 minute sales presentation? Since we had very causal plans for our stay, we decided to redeem the free parking voucher and the "free 3 night stay + $100 gift card" incentive. He also gave me a cheap (but yummy) bottle of red wine, so I was happy enough. But don't let these people make you think you MUST attend a timeshare presentation as some kind of contingency for staying with them. As for the timeshare presentation... The guys are nice and funny enough. Same high pressure, buy now sales tactics you would expect from a timeshare pitch. We were the only family in attendance. I've redeemed a few of these from other timeshare brands, and we are actually owners as well. But man, that free stay gift is mostly garbage. If you're looking to stay in California, your options are a Ramada Inn in Los Angeles or a Travelodge in Anaheim. You can't even redeem it for a future stay at Inn at the Park. Overall, charming little place to stay within walking distance of Balboa park. But the high pressure tactics to trick guests into timeshare meetings on their vacations is tacky. Also, your elevator permit expired 2 years ago. 3 stars, first and last stay for me.

Yelp
Avoid at all costs. The people who work here are frauds and try to sell you time shares that do not exist.. or at least that was my experience. I was offered an opportunity to go on a free trip.. all I had to do was waste my time at a 4 hour seminar on a Saturday afternoon.. hosted by these fine people. I was skeptical but I actually know 2 people who have done this in the past.. at different locations.. and had success.. ultimately getting free trips. My experience.. these people are savages, classless, and obnoxiously relentless. They nearly argue with you when you try to say no. They give people unrealistic expectations and the average person can not afford a time share. The company Wyndham pairs with is fast track (assured travel) and this fast track company will not answer your phone calls, respond to emails (yes I had a read receipt), or acknowledge that you exist. Anyone associated with this place is bad news. Even on my way out.. in the elevator I had a hotel employee try to sell me something. No thanks.. you all are indignant and embarrassing.

Yelp
This was my 2nd time staying at Inn at the Park. I was here in 2015 with my family but this time it was just the hubby and I for Veteran's Day weekend. This hotel is super cute and quaint. I describe it as a trendy, boutique hotel. The furniture is really hip and our room had a full kitchen (minus an oven). We were able to find street parking for the night which was plus. The staff was friendly and everything was nice clean.

Yelp
If you come here for a timeshare presentation, prepare to be disappointed, dissatisfied and wishing you could get your time back. I came here to attend a timeshare presentation, and couldn't have had a worse experience from start to finish. Swayed by the prospect of a free 4 night stay at a hotel in Sedona, I attended with my girlfriend to listen and learn about timeshares, not having much knowledge on the subject. The salesperson we we're "assigned" turned out to be brand new, not able to actually even explain the most basic concepts, and was actually yawning throughout our conversation. He had to get up time and time again to converse with other salespeople to be able to explain the benefits if the timeshare, and made it quite comical that he couldn't even pitch something so sales driven. Surprisingly, we were not wooed by the presentation and simply wanted the trip after being forced to sit and listen to the presentations, and after we indicated this, we still had to sit and wait for the "are you sure, this is a great deal" presentation from two other people. After FINALLY getting out of there with our voucher in hand, we are still trying to redeem it to no avail. Wyndham contracts out their prizes they offer to a company that is impossible to deal with. They are only open from 8 to 5 east coast time, despite being located in Carlsbad, and put you on hold until you have to hang up. I spent multiple days calling in to sit on hold for an hour plus with no one answering. A complete scam and a massive waste of time...Wyndham is a joke and I will never do business with them.

Yelp
This is my "go to" place when I come to SD. I can't say enough good things about the staff. Maggie and Pete are wonderful as is everyone else but they really made our stay pleasant and hassle-free. The timeshare pitch is just something you have to get used to saying no. I am an owner and did my time at the presentation but other than that, everything about this property is just fine. I loooove the location.

Yelp
Diana is very, impatient and impolite! We were asking her a few simple questions at the front desk because we had two individual rooms. One with a dual bedroom and one with a single and she could not handle two people asking her questions at once so she snapped at us in the lobby!! She interrupted us and told us how things were gonna go Lol not happy at all about her rude looks and attitude

Yelp
First time here... the room is gorgeous, one closet in a two bedroom and it is in one of the bedrooms... the common living room is spacious Art Deco styling, feels very swanky. There's a little kitchette with just the right amount of space, equally chic and appointed. So far the only concern is the cost of valet, $20/day (Boooo). The staff and their care and professionalism is why I've edited my overall rating. WE WILL RETURN

Yelp
This place is old but charming. The building is old but everything has been redone well and I actually enjoyed all of the original touches they left. We got a studio. This would be big enough for a family with 2 small kids or one older child. Pull out couch bed, probably a full, and a king. The kitchen was small but cute. You don't need to actually cook because you are surrounded by hundreds of amazing restaurants near this location. The ONLY downside...they try and get you to go to a sales pitch. Worldmark needs to stop this practice. It's annoying and in 2021 there are better ways to get information to me.

Yelp
What a joke , you want to work out??!! Let's see room as big as a small bedroom!??? No towels!! Music , haha not even sure what it is !! Then vultures waiting to try and suck you into buying into their time share on both sides!!! We are told when you check in, beautiful work room with beautiful views, NOPE , on one side a women smoking, and computers on the other side. Then down the hall people yelling and talking it was actually a nightmare!!! I love to work out but in quiet peace not in that!!!! It's all about buying into there time share ! Noise outside, traffic , horns honking!! Might as well stayed home ! Oh by the way $25 to park !!!!!!!

Yelp
5 stars for the resort. Great location. Large room, 2 queen beds, large bathroom, great kitchen for 2 people. Nice rooftop set up for socializing safely. The staff needs retraining. In 21 years of being a Worldmark owner, this is the first location with clueless staff...and rude when "trying to help me" in a follow up call with a manager. 2 nights booked. When we returned from the zoo, hot & tired, on day 2, our room cards & bracelet cards did not work. Front desk only set our cards for ONE NIGHT. My friend went to the front desk to find out why we couldn't get in. Their mistake. She only set us up for one night. When checking people in, getting the number of nights correct is the number 1 job! They activated ONLY my friend's wrist card. I went down a few minutes later & the gentleman at reception I explained the issue to so I could update my wrist card & get us 2 new keycards looked at me like I was speaking another language. The person who helped my friend came over & asked: "didn't it work?" I responded yes, but you instructed her to send me down for my wrist card to be activated AND we needed new key cards. Less than 10 minutes had passed & we both needed to be able to open the door. I guess she had already forgotten we both needed key cards. Coincidentally she was the person who checked us in WRONG. 2 people, 2 working key cards.

Yelp
What an excellent location if your vacationing with a family. The studio is tastefully decorated with a modern meets historic vibe. The room is enough for a family of four. Extra large couch converts into twins beds. Half stove with full size refrigerator and breakfast nook comes this room. Pros- roof top lounge on the 7th floor has outdoor furniture to enough the weather and views of balboa park. - across the street is Balboa park and playground for the kiddos and plenty of greenery for pets (uncertain if the hotel allow pets; I didn't see any). - close proximity to many awesome breakfast spots, San Diego zoo, museums and downtown. -mini fitness center, but 24 hr fitness is .7 miles away. Con- street parking and $20 bucks a day for valet. Although that didn't really bother me much. - coin laundry in basement. This is actually a pro, but would be nice if complementary. I'm probably just being extra critical at this point.

Yelp
Older hotel, but nicely done and convenient location to San Diego. Great place to stay for a few nights if you're there to tour San Diego, but no amenities such as a pool or hot tub. Staff was friendly and responsive.

Yelp
My friend has a timeshare here and I stayed here for 1 of the nights. This place is super cute, quaint and charming. There is lots of FREE street parking in the area, so be sure to try to look before paying for valet. The Inn is right across the street from Balboa Park, which is great for out of town San Diegans to walk to. Upon check in, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Don't be alarmed with the musty smell in the halls. This building is very old and historic. Once you get into your room, the smell disappears. We had a 1 bedroom/bathroom suite with living room, full kitchen and balcony. Evidently, this place was just remodeled and they did a really good job fixing up this place. Everything was so pristine and clean! I ended up falling asleep on the sofa couch, which was huge!!! There are 2 double beds in the sofa couch and they were soooo comfy. Perhaps no one has slept in it before and I had the most relaxing sleep! The pillows were so soft and comfortable as well. AHHHH!!! Full kitchen and amenities included. Definitely a great place to stay, especially with so many great restaurants and eateries in the area!

Yelp
This was the cutest little hotel with a fantastic location. Hotel Room - Super spacious and I absolutely LOVED the bed. (I should have looked to see the brand. If anyone knows, please let me know. It was so soft and comfortable. I didn't want to get out of bed.) I loved the kitchen nook that it came with as well. Location - Balboa Park is literally across the street. The zoo is on the other side of Balboa Park. There are so many fun/delicious restaurants within walking distance. We walked all over the neighborhood. You don't feel like you're surrounded by tourists. Service - We were there for my birthday. They brought up a bottle of wine, a happy birthday pin with my name and a bag of Trader Joe's birthday cake popcorn. It was so sweet. If you have a car, parking is $20/night. There is also street parking, but be careful of the meters.

Yelp
+ friendly helpful staff + nice location - street parking only or $20 a day to - they did not hassle us to attend a timeshare presentation our first floor location required us to carry our stroller up and down the stairsevery time we came or went.

Yelp
Absolutely love. A quaint little boutique hotel with arte deco flavor. The staff so courteous and helpful they made a impression on all 6 of us. Keep up the good work!

Yelp
Wow. Some of the reviews are brutal! We vacationed here, thanks to an owner-friend, during the middle of July and stayed for 4 nights. We didn't experience a single negative ...not one! 1. Street parking was available each night of our M-F stay so we didn't have to use the valet. However, if we did, that would've been fine because parking seems to be $$ everywhere in San Diego. 2. Staff was friendly and helpful, checking-in with us each time we came through the lobby. Concierge was great when we needed suggestions. We never felt pressured to attend the sales pitch but we were tempted by the offer of $$ gift card or park admission tickets. We know how this works. :) We are their target market but we just didn't feel like giving up any of our time this vacation. 3. The clean, colorful room was quite spacious and fit our needs perfectly. Kitchen was stocked with all the necessities. Truth be told, we didn't spend much time there as we were hanging out with friends each day till the wee hours of the morning. We basically used this hotel for sleeping and showering. 4. Central location right downtown which meant you can hear the traffic, garbage trucks, construction, and anything else motorized. Again, not the hotel's fault and this was a gift from a friend so no complaints. 5. The building is old, classic, retro, whatever you want to call it.. but this meant squeaky at times and a bit frustrating to be in a lower-floor. Oh well. 6. The rooftop is fabulous. We sat there and just relaxed at the end of our first day. An ambiance-only fire pit would've been the icing! All in all, we 100% prefer being on the beach so we wouldn't be back but can't rate it down for anything.

Yelp
The timeshare presentation at this location was an absolute waste of time. We were waylayed at the Santee Street Fair and promised $200 restaurant gift card applicable to most major chains for attending a two hour presentation. THIS IS NOT WHAT WE GOT. We were also told we'd have a buffet lunch. We did have lunch, but it was one sandwich choice, one side choice, and the choice between a donut or a donut. So much for a buffet. This meal was in a tiny little office space set out on a fold out table. We were told there would be no high pressure sales, and in fact our representative was nice and great. We enjoyed chatting with him and his explanation of everything was smooth and understandable. At one point our rep has to go answer a question with a previous client and the joker who stepped in was super aggressive. My wife and I both instantly disliked him. Alex or something was his name. Our rep came back and we were happy about that. At the end, we told our rep we weren't interested right now, but had previously talked about getting a timeshare and had now decided that when we are ready, Wyndham was where we wanted to do it. Just not now. We had signed decline papers when lo and behold Alex comes back guilt tripping us over and over and over. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. So we get our "giftcards" and go home. Upon trying to use the gift card I find out that it's 2 cards of $100 credit on restaurant.com. $200 worth of credit on restaurant.com sells for about $10 on eBay. Just so you can get the idea of the actual value of this card. We were told it worked for major chains. Nope. The restaurants for restaurant.com are crap and no name places you've never heard of. The two out of 35 I was actually interested in stipulated you spend at least $75 and all you could save was $25. This is not a gift card. This is a $25 off when you spend $75. Even the lowest of the stipulations were still requiring you to spend double the amount you save (save $10 when you spend $20) This is crap. We don't eat out. We don't like spending money on it. We thought the $200 giftcard would give us the opportunity to enjoy Olive Garden or wherever (Olive Garden was one place we were promised the cards covered by the rep at the fair). Now we absolutely wasted our time and have nothing to show for it. What a sleazy "compensation" Total lie and not what we were promised.

Yelp
This historic building has been beautifully remodeled, but as a historic building, it does not have air conditioning in the main areas, however, each room has an individual unit. This is a time share resort, so you will be invited to breakfast and a 90-120 minute presentation. They are not hard selling at this location. I noticed that previous reviews required a $20 deposit for this breakfast/presentation, but we were not asked to pay any deposit. My husband and I attended a presentation, determined that it wasn't for us, and were not pressured to buy. The presenters, sales person, and manager were all professional, friendly, and not overly pushy. We received some Wyndham points and Zoo tickets in addition to the free breakfast. Our parents and sister did not go to a presentation and while they were invited, were not pressured to go. Front desk, concierge, valet, and all other staff were friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful, but the bed wasn't terribly comfortable. All other amenities were lovely, and I liked that they provided coffee/tea, spices, and all dishes/utensils and cookware needed. The lobby has coffee in the mornings and water and lemonade throughout the day. Noise from the street is not overwhelming, but ambulances do go by on occasion and bathroom windows are left open by staff, presumably because there are not fans in the bathrooms for moisture. Otherwise, it is a quiet neighborhood. Occasionally we heard people above us walking, or people talking in the halls, but it was not bad, and with an 8 month old with us, he was not woken up by noises. The hotel provides Pack N Plays, though they put a cover on them, which makes it difficult to use them for safe sleep, and difficult to get the mattress properly installed. Next time we would probably being our own. The only parking lot is a pay lot and requires valet service. There is street parking, but it was quite full. There are restaurants within walking distance, and Balboa park is across the street. Overall, it was a very nice place to stay, We would return.

Yelp
Inn at the park is a wonderful and relaxing experience. The entire building is quaint and freshly modern at the same time. Check in/out was a breeze, especially being a guest of an owner. Our room was very clean and had pleasantly unique decor. I was able to capture some beautiful panoramic photos from the roof. All the staff was courteous and helpful. I would definitely stay again!! Cons: The elevator is very slow and the visible permit seemed to be expired. The rooftop closes at 10pm, which in the summer leaves a short window of time to enjoy the night view. Not close too many restaurants that are open past 8 or 9pm within walking distance.
