Whale Cove Cottages

This was my first time to Grand Manan. We stayed in the Bungalow. It was spotless. And so cosy. Had a full kitchen and separate bedroom, we loved sitting out on the deck and relaxing, The grounds are so nice. We had everything we needed and it was so quiet and peaceful. We hated to leave! I would highly recommend!

This place is a treasure trove of history, information and lots of space, every room has its own washroom. Only a couple of rooms have air conditioning, but there are plenty of fans throughout to compensate for that. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to make your meals, just need to bring your food and drinks

Restaurant review- We absolutely loved it here!!! Fresh REAL ingredients -no deep fried seafood here- prepared by the only legit chef on the island (or so locals say!). Usually a small menu- and definitely call ahead for reservations, as things are made ahead for the exact people dining. Cozy atmosphere, right by the water, you can tell that a lot of love went into maintaining this island gem! Plan to spend at least $80-$100 for two though, but it's well worth it! Wish we found this place sooner. :)

I always enjoy my evenings at Whale Cove. The food is always good and is something different than the norm on the island. I was a bit disappointed this evening in the Goat Cheese Salad. The salad was priced at $12 and I truly found that pricey especially once it was served. It was 1 piece of cheese on just a simple bed of lettuce. I just feel there should have been a bit more to it for the price. Tasted wonderful just pricey. Looking forward to my next visit!

Just leaving a 2 night stay at John’s Flat. I have been blessed to stay at Whale Cove Cottages before and this trip did not disappoint.||The flat is immaculate with gorgeous views overlooking Whale Cove from the bedroom, kitchen and living room/dining area. The outside sitting and eating area is perfect for relaxing with snacks after a day of hiking. This property is located on the “red” (coastal or light house) trail and one can hike towards the “whistle” lighthouse or towards the “hole in the wall” and swallowtail lighthouse. ||I feel so fortunate to live relatively close to this location. It is truly world-class. ||

Cute place, we rented one of the cottages for a week. The place was nice but needs a heating system in the kitchen besides the wood fire stove. The silverware and the glasses/cups need some cleaning once in a while. I imagine some of their customers don’t pay too much attention on cleaning before they leave. The owner should be more patient and she needs to learn to offer a better customer service. Every time i talked to her she seemed bored or too busy. The restaurant food was good and the customer service in the restaurant was great.

We stayed at John's Flat and was very impressed with the accomodations! It is fully stocked, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom with a jacuzzi tub, stand up shower, living room with satellite and wifi (signal a little weak for me iphone). The bedding was awesome, sheets must be 500 count cuz they were the softest I've ever experienced. Very comfortable stay and would stay again in a heartbeat; was very impressed. Oh the view was exceptional as well!

We spent a week in the coopershop at Whale Cove Cottages. It was amazing. The cottage is very well equipped and spotless. The views are amazing and you are right on the trail if you wish to go hiking. Highly recommend a visit, we will certainly be returning!
