Wow what a restaurant. Was greated by a wonderful host. Went through the menus, wines, fantastic. Fillet in truffle sauce and the sliced sirloin were excellent, cheese fondue to start was good but was more of a pizza topping sauce with cheese. Rosemary bread was loverly and the chocolate cake with hint of orange was good.

Google
Wonderful eatery!!!! Fabio welcomed us wonderfully and tolerated our stupid questions. Giuseppe was an amazing server. The place was so good we went there twice, and Miguel was just as good. We found the food fully enjoyable. Lasagne was a chefs kiss!!! Espresso martini was smooth and delicious. A friendly, family vibe. Will gladly return when I come back to Sorrento!

Google
we both had a lovely meal. I had gf pasta and garlic bread...pasta was infused with truffle...absolutely lovely. A lovely bottle of Barolo also, just a lovely place. Best to book in advance.

Google
We enjoyed all the dishes we ordered, but I wouldn’t say the place is great in terms of value for money. The food is good, but the prices feel a bit steep for what you get.

Went there with a group of friends and we split the bill. I chose 1kg of Bistecca Chianina, baked potato, and some green vegetables. The steak was okay, but when it came to the baked potato, I asked the server why it was so dry and hard as a rock. The server replied, “That’s how baked potatoes are…” Clearly, it was a leftover from the night before, reheated in a microwave as a quick fix. Anyway, the server eventually took it off the bill, but I still covered it through my tip. Don’t insult me—as if I’ve never had a proper baked potato before. 😡😡😡

Google
The food was amazing. Amazing staff that transitioned back and forth from Italian to English to meet the needs of the diverse people in our group. The service was quick professional and amazing. You have to try to the buffalo.

Warm and friendly This is what Happens when you go down the side small streets I took the recommendations for buffalo mozzarella caprese ensalada Best of my life! Tomato 🍅 was the best Homemade mozzarella And rocket and basil 🌿 Ended with a tiramisu and a cappuccino

Google
Service is top notch as always. We always make sure to come to this restaurant every time we are in Sorrento. The Buffalo steak with balsamic glaze is so flavorful. 100/10 would recommend.

Yelp
Inn Bufalito is a dining experience that exceeds expectations at every turn. Reservations are highly recommended, as this gem is a popular spot for good reason. From the moment you start with the buffalo ricotta cheese balls served with a rich San Marzano tomato sauce, you know you're in for a treat. The T-Bone Steak is a standout entree, perfectly cooked to your liking. The unique aspect of selecting your cut of meat adds a personalized touch to the meal. The pasta is nothing short of beautiful, especially the spaghetti with cherry tomato sauce, basil, and buffalo stracciatella. Every bite is a delight. The freshness of the vegetables, sourced from the garden next door, elevates every dish. Inn Bufalito is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates fine dining with a farm-to-table twist.

Yelp
I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I was surprised to see that the restaurant was not busy when we arrived. The reviews are good, but when we arrived there were only a few tables filled. Then I realized I went during the off season and went at a normal American time, 7:30. I am sure they became more busy... and during the height of the tourist season it must be very busy. The staff was amazing. Very good place!! Enjoy!

Yelp
Best eggplant parm I've ever had . Delicious creamy red sauce , excellent steak, pasta worth the trip.

Ariel R.

Yelp
Favorite place to eats at while in Sorrento. Get the Italian cheesecake and the cheese plate!

Yelp
We stopped by this place randomly on our way back to our hotel. They had just opened and we were greeted so quickly by Fabio. If you ever come here, ASK FOR FABIO! He is so well knowledges about the menu, how the meats are made and his service is phenomenal. He always made sure we were happy and had everything we needed. He also made really great recommendations as it was our first time. He even took our husbands into the fridge to show us the aged meats. So intimidate and the guys really loved it! The food was great! ALL OF IT!

Yelp
On our last night in Sorrento, we went to Inn Bufalito for dinner, we had a made a reservation the day before for our party of 9 and so we were promptly seated outside as we had requested. This was a hit or miss experience for me. We order the these cheeseboard appetizer which was large and quite tasty. The drinks that we ordered were very watered down so I would order the wine to be safe. We ordered lasagna, truffle pasta, lemon shrimp pasta, grouper and a few people shared a large steak, which was just ok. My lemon shrimp pasta was fantastic, along with the grouper entree and the truffle pasta. After dinner, the service lacks somewhat, we waited quite a while for the server to come back, we also requested some desserts since we were celebrating two birthdays but that never came, since our party was somewhat large, we wanted separate checks which they could not accommodate so we had to do that ourselves.

Wallace W.

Yelp
Really disappointing dinner in many ways. The service was chaotic, the food was just so-so and it took so long to get served that we were ready to leave after just having appetizers. The wine was just fair too, not very pleasing. I really disliked the mozzarella cheese baked in lemon leaves and another forgettable appetizer of grilled vegetables and bruschetta. My wife had a tagliatelle mushroom dish which was supposed to have had truffles, but they were nowhere to be found. I had the buffalo steak over a piece of bread, which tasted like cube steak. Really a disappointing dinner all the way around. With over 100 restaurants in Sorrento, it's not one I'd recommend.

DeAngelo V.

Yelp
Ah. Underwhelmed. Good concept, but the good wasn't that good. Great wine selection, great dessert just didn't dig most of the food we had here. Much better choices to try in Sorrento!

Savannah H.

Yelp
Made a same day reservation here when staying in Sorrento. There was quite a long line when we arrived so a reservation seems like a must! Even with, we waited about 20 minutes to be seated but were able to go to the bar and get a drink in the meantime. Request an indoor table if possible. Food here was quite good! If you can't tell based on the name, there are many Buffalo options. We both had a variation of Buffalo meat with pasta and enjoyed it. I ended up trading with my husband because mine was a bit more gamey than I was expecting. Overall a great meal and cocktails!

Matt Y.

Yelp
Classic tourist rip off spot. Watched as owner manipulated bill to overcharge us for drinks.

Stacy A.

Yelp
Best place in Sorrento for fresh house made Buffalo mozzarella and Buffalo ragout pastas, just to name a few. Just delicious!!!

John Z.

Yelp
When in Sorrento and looking for great meal that includes Buffalo meet, this is a must stop. Quaint, delicious food, and attentive staff

Kim S.

Yelp
We had a reservation for Christmas Eve dinner and Franco did not disappoint! We had a large party of 10 with several kids, so we got seated in the store dining room area- it became a private room for us which was perfect. No stress about kids bothering anyone else and a very cozy atmosphere for our family. We got a sampling of many different mozzarella's- all really wonderful, calamari, and other appetizers that were all delicious but I can't remember them all! We got several different seafood dishes for the main course, again all were wonderful. Franco lured wine for the meal and nailed it. It was one of the most memorable meals we had on our 2 week vacation. Thank you Franco and everyone at Inn Bufalito for a wonderful Feast of Seven Fishes!

Yelp
I was taking advantage of the restaurant's outdoor bench seating to relax and catch-up on my mobile phone texts -- they don't open before 6PM -- but lost track of time and was greeted by a waiter who did not ask me to leave, but asked if I wanted a beverage. I ordered some of the local Sorrento wine which was being featured, and a mozzarella sampler. My favorite was the Burrata, but all of them were tasty. I decided to move inside and have dinner. The interior is fairly large and includes a full bar with additional seating, as well as a separate bistro-size mozzarella bar with its own entrance. The music playing was mostly 40's and 50's era American artists, so it appeared they are catering more to tourists than locals, and given the early hour, that was mostly who filled the restaurant. White bean soup and homemade spaghetti were my meal choices - both were very good. Bread was offered with the meal. Considered dessert, but instead had an after-dinner drink. Entrees were moderately priced and portions were substantial. Meal cost with drinks was ~€35 Despite the tourist-y vibe, the wait staff was polite and attentive, most spoke English fluently and didn't scoff when you attempted Italian :-) They also gave recommendations on the menu when asked, and unlike other places I'd gone weren't hovering over you to encourage you to pay the check and leave. Overall, a good place for a relaxed dining experience.

Jenny B.

Yelp
This was such a good experience we went back a second night. Food and service were top notch. Pay a little extra for a great dinner instead of waiting in line for a trendy and cheap eats.

Veronica W.

Yelp
Food was delicious and service was great! This was recommended to us by our hostel and it did not disappoint. I recommend the Buffalo mozzarella fondue appetizer as well! Prices were good and food and experience felt authentic. :)

Christina S.

Yelp
Lovely evening at an outside table dining and speaking with and getting to know our charming and jovial waiter Marco. A bit of a more modern/rustic setting than other nearby restaurants, it offered a fresh atmosphere. We started with the sampler of the buffalo cheeses. All different, full of texture and fresh. Well worth this option so that you can try everything! The pasta - homemade with clams and zucchini, this dish was to die for. The pasta couldn't have been cooked better or be fresher. We are every bit. The fish we shared was meaty yet light. Similar to a swordfish texture but not as thick. Very fresh. House wine, cheese sampler, pasta (shared), fish (shared) and after dinner drinks was $80 including tip. Portions were large enough to share and we were full at the end. Delicious and authentic meal! *This review was part of a 10-day eating binge, I mean vacation with my mother. The summary here reflects both of our opinions*

Elijah W.

Yelp
Everywhere was closed in Sorrento one night. This place was just shutting down and they were kind enough to let us sit down inside and have one of the best meals my wife and I had in Italy while we were there for three weeks. Our server was fantastic, the food was awesome and they even gave my wife a linen towel with the restaurant's name sewn on it as a souvenir to take home.

Rose C.

Yelp
Delicious tomahawk steak. Buffalo mozzarella best I have ever had. Definitely worth one of your dinner nights in Sorrento.

Black B.

Yelp
Stopped in for an appetizer and bottle of wine. Friendly staff. Offered bread, was brought out promptly with the appetizer. Server never came back, never brought the wine. Got the bill. Was charged 14 guest fee and for the bread

Bill R.

Yelp
Always satisfying for lunch or dinner. Authentic Neapolitan cuisine at a reasonable price. Known for their buffalo mozzarella, I would consider this a must have while dining here. As with many restaurants here, you'll find seasonal rotating options on the menu. I am usually fortunate enough to be here at a time when zucchini flowers are in season. They stuff these little gems with ricotta and herbs and a drizzle of olive oil. Burrata doesn't need much to be outstanding. In this case, a carpaccio of tomato and local olive oil accompanies. Spaghetti with buffalo mozzarella and pasta vongole certainly didn't let us down. House wine and proseco were good and there's a full wine list available. There's a fine selection of amaro for after the meal. Free wifi and outdoor seating available.

Josh R.

Yelp
The food, service, and atmosphere here is great! I ordered the pasta with buffalo meat, focaccia, and tiramisu. All were fantastic! This restaurant is tucked away off the main strip, so it's the place to go if you're looking for somewhere quiet to eat.

Alexander O.

Yelp
Not a good experience at all. Steaks were "ok" but the service not good at all. We were in many restaurants in Sorrento area and all were very delicious and prices were OK but Inn Bufalito was the worst meal during our vacations and the most expensive by a lot. Unfortunately not a good choice.

Lydia Y.

Yelp
Made reservations for outside seating and had some amazing ravioli and steak. Our waiter made it really easy and picked out what he thought was great. Top restaurant in Sorrento hands down

Casey H.

Yelp
The best restaurant in Sorrento. The food? beyond amazing. The wine? Perfect. But Franco the owner was the best part. He told us we always have a home in Sorrento at Inn Bufalito.

Josh M.

Yelp
Food was amazing I had the ribs. Service was excellent and restaurant is nice inside, dogs allowed. If you go for dinner make a reservation

Michael L.

Yelp
Have you ever had a friend tell you about a movie that he said was really good? So based on his recommendation you go see the movie expecting something good or great but the movie ends up being whack-a-doo? This happened to me in the past and unfortunately applies to Inn Bufalito. Based on the reviews I've read I expected a good meal, but what I got instead of Buffalo was more Bull than anything. What did we order? Buffalo Mozzarella starter: combo of 4 varies of this cheese. I thought it was kind of bland and boring. Mozzarella is a good compliment to many dishes but as the main event it's like Michelle from destinys child. She was good with Kelly and Beyonce but by herself, nope. T-Bone Steak: this was just a poorly cooked piece of T-Bone, overcooked and lacked flavor. Spaghetti and meatballs: Authentic Italian restaurants in Italy don't serve this dish. I should have known I was asking for trouble. It's like asking an Italian restaurant to make me a super burrito, it's not gonna work. Rick Steves recommended this place. Have you ever seen that guy? I wouldn't hang out with him, so why the heck does everybody go by his travel book like its the bible? I don't know but I know "stay out" of "Inn" Bufalito...

Amanda B.

Yelp
Thank you Inn Bufalito for being awesome. While wandering the streets of Sorrento we came across this place on a busy night... Put it on the to do list of dinner in Sorrento. Made reservations for 8pm on Monday and got in right away. The atmosphere was great, servers were nice and spoke English! Enjoyed a sampler appetizer and a bottle of Chardonnay. No one rushed us while we enjoyed dinner and our entrees were perfect. We got the buffalo filet and the basil spaghetti. Very affordable and modern!!

Diana S.

Yelp
Disclaimer: We did not order Inn Bufalito's signature buffalo mozzarella tonight, so this review and 3/5 stars does not do this restaurant full justice. Service is 5/5 - fast, efficient, and professional. Also spoke very good English. Did not solicit like the other restaurants around here. Fyi there are 2 locations - one at the central piazza, but that one is a takeout sandwich shop. The main restaurant is on the side street perpendicular to the English Pub. No sea view, but lovely, clean, and modern inside and outside seating. Vegans and people who don't like or can't eat dairy... This is not the place for you! Almost every menu option features cheese and/or red meat. Those in search of seafood, this is not the place. Here the focus is on cheese and they do a good job at it :) Otherwise nothing wrong or exciting about the food we ordered. The vegetarian eggplant parmesan, which is made with the famous buffalo mozzarella, was a huge and thick portion, sufficient as a main. The vegetarian gnocchi with tomato sauce, basil, and mozzarella, supposedly, we do not recommend if you're going for a pasta dish that features their cheese because it was barely detectable in the tomato sauce. Once again I was not impressed by the grilled vegetables - better than the veggies at Tavern Allegra last night, but both are so bland. I ended up ordering my favorite grilled vegetables platter at Il Pozzo for takeout afterwards. Complimentary small bread basket included in the 1 euro (low!) cover charge. Value- a bit pricy, but very reasonable in comparison to other restaurants around here. Vegetarian pasta dishes hover around 10-12 euros. The quality of food is exceptional though!

Jimmy S.

Yelp
Amazing! The portions are EXCEPTIONALLY large. I made the mistake of ordering two appetizers (basically enough food for 4 people) and then dinner on top of that... oops! Fantastic buffalo mozzarella! The sampler plate (HUGE) is a great way to go. The setting is amazing - very rustic and clean. Somewhat down a bit of a "random alley" but once you find it, it won't be as crowded (and will be MUCH better) than the touristy places. Definitely worth stopping by for a meal.

D B.

Yelp
Came here randomly on our trip to Sorrento and had an amazing time. The owner was accommodating even though we didn't have a reservation. Our server, Salvatore, was wonderful even though he seems to prefer the Yankees over the Mets. He recommended a good wine so we let it slide. We had the bruschetta and (if I recall correctly) the smoked burrata with sliced prosciutto. Both were incredible. For our entrees we had the homemade pasta with eggplant and the steak special. Both, again, were incredible. If you find yourself in Sorrento definitely swing by this place. And tell Salvatore I said "go Mets."

Mark H.

Yelp
We stopped in after ready about Inn Bufalito on Yelp. We had a great experience. We had the cheese sampler and bread. We had two ballades I'd recommend red wine. Everything was great. The portions are big so we had to take some with us. Highly recommend.

Michael L.

Yelp
The grilled vegetables with Burrata was very good but the pasta dishes were fair. Neighboring table had a massive steak for 2 which 2guys devoured. Happily. Pasta is not the play; make sure they cook the steak the way you want it.

Laura R.

Yelp
My hotel recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The vegetable pasta is delicious - perfect size & flavor. I definitely recommend anyone traveling to Sorrento stop by Inn Bufalito.

Ida K.

Yelp
I got gnocchi and steak and potatoes. The gnocchi was a bit too greasy but flavorful. The steak was supposed to be mediaum rare, but the ends were completely well-done while the center was totally uncooked inside and out. Unfortunately this was the least satisfying steak I had in Italy. Potatoes were not very interesting either. Service was good and location was very nice - close to town center and tourist attractions but fairly peaceful and hidden in a little alley.

Gianna G.

Yelp
My husband and I went here our first night in Sorrento. The staff is friendly and very helpful answering questions about the menu. The liter of house red wine was quite tasty and well-priced as were the dishes we ordered: Insalada Caprese - delicious tomatoes and cheese with arugula, added a touch of their balsamic and it was heaven! Pappardelle all a Genavese - not your typical pasta dish but still delicious. The "sauce" is a purée of cooked carrots and onion which is light and a bit sweet. The noodles were clearly homemade fresh that day. We agreed this seemed like something locals might make themselves. Paccheri di Ragu - this buffalo Ragu was more along the lines of what my husband and I are used to. The slow-cooked meat was the perfect consistency and the sauce wasn't too spicy but had great flavor.

Stephanie K.

Yelp
I would definitely recommend Bufalito! My husband and I ate a great meal here on our first night in Sorrento. We started with the assorted mozzarella cheese plate and it was a huge amount of food and so good. The smoked mozzarella was the best!! Definitely the best reason to visit this restaurant! My meal was the squid ink and shrimp risotto which was very tasty, though the risotto may have been a tad undercooked. My husband had the pesto and shrimp pasta dish and mentioned the pesto was fairly light, but liked it overall. Lots of friendly staff and the place was packed, so it's definitely a popular spot for locals and tourists alike.

Jeffrey P.

Yelp
Great waitstaff very very clean delicious meal very appreciative and would certainly highly recommend

Alisa W.

Yelp
buffalo to all the way!! My husband and I shared the bone in rib-eye and let me just say, holy Bison!! The meal was incredible. If your in Sorrento, you must stop by here. No beef ( cow). Just buffalo beef. Must try

Shanna M.

Yelp
This started as a 4-5 star review. This meal was like a movie that has an amazing trailer and you are super excited for the main event and then the movie just kinda sucks. Let me explain... We arrive with no reservation and fortunately are seated right away. 5 stars. We order the grilled vegetables and mozzarella do bufula. Best mozzarella I've had in my life. It was delicious. You know how sometimes mozz just tastes like bland and you kind of wonder why you are wasting the calories? Well it was the opposition of that! I should also mention the veggies it came with were perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned, unlike most of the oversalt we food we've had in Italy. 5 stars. This is where it goes downhill. We wait for our main courses for over 50 minutes while the people around us get their mains, desserts and checks. No one comes by to offer us an explanation, more wine (which we finished during that time) (oh, and someone found the time to remove the empty carafe from the table too...). Finally my husband asks our waiter where our food is and he makes up some weird excuse about how they are preparing it (um ok). Few minutes later, still no food. Ask to speak to manager. Manager says coming right out, sorry, something with the kitchen. (1 star) Food arrives. Food is hot but totally bland and tasteless. I am a person who never puts salt on ANYTHING. I had to add salt to my risotto multiple times throughout the meal. And it was still bad. Steak had no seasoning at all. (1 star). We ate enough for sustenance and asked for the check. Which they were very fast about getting us and charging. Then he offered is free limoncello as a "I'm sorry". Too little too late (1 star). Anyway, if I was desperate, I would consider going back for mozzarella only. Probably not worth it though.

Amy S.

Yelp
This restaurant came highly recommended by the place we were staying during our visit to Sorrento when asking where we could get some really good mozzarella. She hit the nail on the head, as our caprese salad was one of the best we've had, and only for ~€10-12 it was very reasonable. It was definitely big enough for the two of us, and could have been big enough to share with more (although we wouldn't have wanted to). The tomatoes were fresh as could be, with just enough olive oil drizzled on top. The cheese itself was absolutely delicious, as we could tell from the milk coming out when we cut it. The crusty bread was also very good to keep us satisfied while we waited for our cheese! We've also been told the meat is very good here, but given the fact that we were in Sorrento for only 2 nights, we wanted to take full advantage of the fresh seafood and didn't get a chance to try any other dishes...maybe next time!

Laura F.

Yelp
Great location that is close to the main piazza but hidden down a narrow alley so it's a bit quieter. Service was good and pretty quick compared to other restaurants we visited in Rome. We ordered grilled vegetables with burrata and the rosemary focaccia. The focaccia was too crunchy but the burrata cheese was delicious - super fresh and creamy! For our mains, we had a simple vegetarian gnocchi dish and fusilli with sausage, eggplant and smoked mozzarella. The sauce was very tasty. Thanks for a great meal!

Josh H.

Yelp
Our best for last plan didn't work out on our visit to Inn Bufalito. The food wasn't terrible (except my beer - Menabrea - which was disgusting), it's just that most everything was just OK. Based on reviews, we were expecting to be impressed. The one thing that was bad was the service. Our waiter blamed the chef multiple times for food coming out at odd times, or not at all.

Carla F.

Yelp
Really liked this place. The menu is unique and inventive. We, of course, got a giant mozzarella ball and it didn't disappoint. We also ordered their warm bread seasoned with rosemary (again, yum). I had squid ink pasta with lobster and somewhat to my dismay, my boyfriend had buffalo meat that was stuffed with all sorts of goodness. We both really liked our meals (although my lobster came with shell and all, wasn't expecting that). Definitely a quality place. TIP: I see some reviewers discussing reservations. We went for a late lunch/early dinner around 4pm and enjoyed the restaurant almost all to ourselves for the first half.

Andrew W.

Yelp
Was hoping for so much better - Aperol spritz for 6 euros isn't too bad - mozzarella was too dry - pasta was over cooked and not al dente - soup was not bad Wouldn't return

Mark D.

Yelp
A nice combination of Italian and Buffalo. They really get into the Buffalo theme as the place looks like it's set in the Wild West. The Caprese salad was awesome and their bread was great. For the main course I had the buffalo pasta Genovese style. It was nice but nothing to rave about. The house wine was a good bargain at 13€. I'd recommend this restaurant.

Joe V.

Yelp
Today was a great day as we had a horrendous lunch experience on Isle of Capri & an amazing contrast dinner in Sorrento! From the start we we're greeted very cordially and asked if we could dine earlier than our reservation -we were immediately wisked back to a great table and then served complementary prosecco ! We had several people tending to our needs and making great suggestions with options. We started with their homemade cheese sampler made on the premises. This place is called bufulito, because of their cheese designation and they serve primarily buffalo/ bison. The sample was the Piatto Degustagione that says it serves 2, but easily enough for 3-4= AMAZING!! Our table enjoyed the Tagliata di Bufalo al Gorgonzola, which is a meat lovers dream. Lots of flavor , cooked to perfection , and very lean/ fresh. The caponata classica is a must try - the combination of fresh ingredients and fresh Italian bread in your salad will make you never eat a crouton in your life again. Don't like bread - well, I'm not a bread eater and let's just report I couldn't resist. Finally, the Paccheri al ragu di Bufalo reminded me of Sunday dinners with my Nonna. The sauce and homemade will rock your ! Finally, I was taking a picture of the decor and the owner asked me if I liked the picture. He gave me a brochure for this incredible photographer art show just down the street in this beautiful church. It was the Sorrento Photo Festival in the Chiostro Di San Frescesco church. You have to go- I happened to see works by Raffaele Celentano- perfecto!! Great service / amazing original food = 5 !!

Jim L.

Yelp
Great food! I took the servers advice. The lamb chop special was delicious and well prepared. The pasta appetizer did not disappoint. It was flavorful This is a restaurant to visit

Stephanie M.

Yelp
I've eaten at Inn Bufalito twice. Portions are generous, service is very good and the ambiance is nice. The mozzarella is a must--I especially liked the bocconcini. On my first visit, I tried the squid ink pasta with calamari, prawns and cherry tomatoes (a daily special). That dish wasn't especially tasty--it lacked flavor. On my next visit, I had the paccheri with buffalo ragu. The paccheri was cooked perfectly, and I liked that it was served with a rectangle of ricotta on the side. It was under seasoned, so the table salt came in handy.
