Beautiful view from our room. Everything in the room was very nice except for the TV remote which was not the usual type which made viewing challenging.|Checkin was off site which was a minor annoyance. Bed was comfortable. Location is great - near the midpoint of the promenade but far enough away to be very quiet.

Beautiful location! Nice short walk to beach and downtown. Quiet location. That’s about the only redeeming thing I can find. Upon arrival we walked in and the smoke detector had low batteries. It was doing a loud chirp every 3 min and took nearly 45 minutes to get someone over to change it. The shower wall had some large blonde hair wads (not ours). Our room had a strange layout and was clearly converted into a room. No hooks in the bathroom for towels, no light in the closet, poorly hung headboard that literally falls off the wall, strangely high up outlets (like 6ft up) and paper thin walls - could hear everything above us all night. Will be our first and last stay.

We really enjoyed our relaxing stay. We loved the view and being right on the promenade! We were at the quieter end of town, but still walking distance to things. The room was great, which even had a gas fireplace and small kitchenette with some dishes and silverware. Great winter rates.

Great accomodation, very homely, amenities generous, very clean and touches thoughtfully attended. Would stay again & again.||Check in only issue as you have to check in at another site and we were not aware. Recommend text & email to help prevent issues around this.

Pro’s: The inn was very cute. When you first get to the inn, you are greeted with a little bag of taffy (which were amazing). They provide the basic amenities + makeup remover. Bed and headrest were very clean. Mattress was very comfortable. The shower tub and curtain were extremely clean, with good water pressure. There is a little kitchenette on the side of the room. We had an extremely late check in (2am) but they had a late check in box with everything you needed to get to your room. Con’s: The floor was sticky in one tiny area of the room, the less used areas such as the corners of the room were extremely dusty. The fan included in the room was extremely dusty as well. The check in area is 5 mins away from the actual inn. Parking was extremely tight and difficult. This inn does not have A/C or laundry service. Trip advisor and third party sites are wrong. TLDR: clean and comfortable enough for a good stay, bad for people with allergies. Good for the price.

Clean, nice, and comfortable bed. However, you have to drive to a different building about 3/4 of a mile away to pick up the keys to get in. The balcony in our room was disappointing. About 3'x5', directly over the street, and not covered.

So unfortunately I didn't have a chance to stay at the property. I booked it in advance for a birthday celebration and received a call the day of check in saying that the property can't check in guests. There wasn't really an explanation as to what has happened and this is the first time that I've encountered this. I booked this room through Expedia and had to go through Expedia to request a refund. I might be speculating, but I think that the hotel might have booked out the room for someone else at a higher cost. I might be wrong, but it was still disappointing to have this happen and look for a different hotel last minute at a higher cost. From the outside the property did look nice and it's a pity I didn't have a chance to stay there.

This location is perfect. We could sit on the balcony and have perfect view of the beach and ocean. The beds were comfortable and the room is modern and lovely.

Yelp
We stayed here one night as we were traveling down the coast. We received a text prior to check-in with directions, and the check-in process is super easy. We had an oceanfront room, which was amazing! The room was clean, and comfortable, with lots of space, and easy access to walk along the beach.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our stay at this small inn. Beautiful waterfront views, homemade cookies and taffy, free dvd library and very pleasant and helpful staff. This inn is toward the north end of town so it's quiet and peaceful yet within walking distance of most everything as its right on the Prom. Would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
Made reservation online, never received an email confirmation. Called the next day to extend reservation by one day. Rate went up due a holiday a day after we left (300 more). When I spoke to the staff person to extend the reservation, I was told beachfront access guaranteed and that I would receive an email confirmation. I called two days before check in, had to ask for an email confirmation again, finally received one. Received a text message from guest services the day of check in stating welcome and to text if we needed anything. I tried texting a few times, never received a response. I called early afternoon of check in day to alert front desk we would not be checking in 7pm and asked would staff be available, I was guaranteed yes. Arrived at the offsite office to check in at 6:55 pm with a sign on the door that said "will be right back, helping another guest"...we waited 10 minutes until the older woman arrived in her car with her greasy bag of fast food and soda. She got out of the car, kind of looked at us and walked by to unlock the front door and mumbled an apathetic "sorry". Checked in finally and was told we did not get the lower level "beach access" rather we're on the second floor. While we were incredibly displeased by the false advertising, in the long run we were relieved to be on the second floor to avoid the noise. The walls are thin. This is not actual beach access. You have to walk several blocks to the beach bath. It is approximately 10 blocks from the downtown area. There is no air conditioning. Three of the lights in the room had burned out bulbs. The "wet bar" is just a standard bar sink and mini fridge. There is silverware, Corning ware plates, corkscrew, keurig with pods. The room was mostly clean. The floor of the wet bar had crumbs and food in the corners that had not been swept up. The bath tub didn't drain properly. There were enough towels. We didn't use the sofa bed. Woke up the first morning to house keeping in a heated argument. The location is acceptable but very different in person than the website.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed here 3/17/23. We booked it at the last minute, the day before our stay. The location and the views are awesome. It's about a 5-8 minute walk from the inn to the round about on Broadway St. (end of the Lewis & Clark trail). It's close to all of the restaurants and shops near Broadway St. Checking in was easy but where you check in is about 1 mile from the property. The room was clean. Parking was good. The price was fair. We would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
I feel guilty cause I wanted to love it , I begged my boyfriend to take me there. ...Well it looks ok, nice patio. Do not book the bottom floor. There is no safety lock on the door to your suite so anyone can kick the door open. The walls are paper thin , I heard absolutely everything , since we had the ground floor unit , We heard the people above all night , loud walking, sneezing, running and jumping. We called contact number and nobody answered we texted and it gave us an emergency number...... so we called and nobody answered roughly half an hour later she called back. Overall, I would say that unless they update the security in the suite and updated the thin walls with sound proofing Do not stay here!

Yelp
The woman who checked us in; who was at another motel complained about never going on vacation. Always work, work, work. She bummed us out. Got our key card and guess what? A male and female was in our room. So glad we didn't have children with us. They could have been having sex. Went back to the other motel and got another key card. The maintence and cleaning people were good. Btw, we booked through Booking.com on 12-30-2022 and was confirmed with the reservation. Was told the amount we were going to pay was $328.82 including tax and fees. Never got an invoice from the Inn at Four Winds. Went to the bank when we got home. They overcharged! I hope the lady likes her illegal tip! Hope she loses her job!

Yelp
We stayed here for two nights. We had the king room on the main floor with the bay window. Check-in was easy and the person who helped us was very nice. Due to the Covid restrictions the level of amenities and service was slightly reduced. We really enjoyed the room. The bed is memory foam and was quite comfortable. Having a small kitchenette was nice. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the table in the bay window area and watching the ocean each morning. During the busy season it is a bit pricey, but about in line with the other places in the area.

Yelp
0 stars if I could. Worst service I have ever experienced at a hotel. Booked a one night stay Saturday morning for a Saturday night stay, paid and got a confirmation email. I knew we were going to arrive late because we were driving to Seaside. On the booking website it listed ETAs up to as late as 11:30 PM. However, I wanted to make sure we could still check in so I called to confirm after booking. They said no problem, just call this number 30 minutes before you arrive and we'll make sure someone is there to assist you at 11:30. At 5 pm, I get a text saying due to a "family emergency" unless I arrived before 8 pm they would have to cancel the reservation. What the hell? I texted back and called and offered some alternatives: they leave the key in an easily accessible spot, or they book us an alternative place that is around the same price. Keep in mind it's now 6 pm on a Saturday and nearly every Seaside Inn is full. Kimberli refused to consider these solutions and was extremely rude, hanging up before I even finished talking. Instead she said she couldn't book us another place because that's not her job and she just refunded me. What the hell? This isn't a money issue, my family and I literally have no place to stay, they canceled last minute and did not offer any alternatives. This would be unacceptable for an airline, for example, to not offer an alternative flight when the original one is cancelled. I'm still in shock at how they handled the situation. I tried calling the number Kimberli initially gave me and the man who picked up gave exactly the same response. Extremely rude and ended up hanging up midway. Offered no solution to our predicament. Throughout the entire exchange, no one ever mentioned what the family emergency was and why as a result no one could be there after 8. The second person I called who could no longer stay after 8 (I assume the person with the emergency) didn't say what it was. If a family member was in the hospital most people would leave right away...there wouldn't be a sharp cutoff at 8 pm. I smell BS and what I think happened is they double booked the room and don't want to own up to their mistakes. I don't know how this hotel has 4 and a half stars on Yelp. I'm now noticing a lot of the good reviews are old. Do yourself a favor and not book this hotel. I am not kidding when I'm saying this is the worst service I've EVER received in my entire life. I ended up finding a place that had only one handicapped room left with one Queen bed (we are 3 people so it's definitely a squeeze) at a substantially higher cost than what we had paid for the two Queen bed room here. Guess this is why this hotel refused to rebook for us . If you're the manager and you see this please fire Kimberli.

Yelp
Comfy accommodations in the beginning of the off season. I stayed in room 207 just above the office. My bed was fantastic; I'm not sure I've slept that well in a while. The view out the front door and side window was divine. Room 207 is at the end of the hall, so no foot traffic past the room. I was able to open the door, lay out my yoga mat and enjoy my yoga practice with the breeze and sound of the waves. The kitchenette was very well stocked and useful. The Ice machine outside worked well and the water from the tap and ice didn't taste funny. The refrigerator had a small glove box size freezer section that worked very well. The bathroom was spacious and had a fabulous jet tub and shower. Hot water was plentiful and the pressure perfect. The soaps provided smelled great. I think this room sleeps 4 as the living area was separate from the bedroom and extra pillows and blankets were provided. I did not check out the sofa to see how well it sleeps, though as a sofa, it is firm. The only downside to this room is that the bedroom and one side of the living area looks out onto the parking lot; so there is noise from foot and car traffic. And while there was a tiny closet, there wasn't a chest of drawers for me to put my clothes. Otherwise, this room would have been perfect. I definitely would stay here again.

Yelp
This is our second time staying here. We booked the king suite for my boyfriends retirement and received a discount. They were also nice enough to put balloons in the room for congratulations for no extra charge. That is customer service. We will definitely be coming back again. This is our little piece of heaven.

Yelp
There has been a recent change in management, much for the worse. MUCH FOR THE WORSE. If you've enjoyed this hotel in the past, please be aware that the things that make it a lovely place to stay are all gone. The location, price, and view are all the same as they have ever been, but the owners are hostile to lodgers and aggressively rude. It's very sad that such a treasure of a hotel is in the hands of such awful ownership, but don't risk your vacation on the whim of their moods.

Yelp
This is a really difficult review to write. I'm torn between 4 stars or 5. Is there a 4.9? And as one reviewer, Bill from Vancouver, already said, "Don't stay here....really...or I'll loathe you!" Well, Bill is right. With only 10 rooms, I'm gonna loathe you too. And Bill. And anyone else who happens to stay here when we want to come to Seaside! Here's the real deal, folks: This place is a gem. The reviews are spot on. When I decided at the last minute (Monday night before the weekend we wanted to come) to book a hotel in Seaside, I went to Yelp. This is the only place with an overall 5 star rating. Texted my son, who has stayed in and around this area numerous times over the years with his Air Guard unit and he suggested The River Tide. I started to book River Tide online but just couldn't bring myself to hit "confirm". Looking again at the reviews, I decided to call Inn of the Four Winds. It was after 9pm but I thought, "Why not?" So thankful I did. Can't remember who answered, but the gal was wonderful. She said they still had one room available for the weekend: queen with a pullout sofa bed for $189. We chatted a bit more about why we were coming (our son is deploying again) and we were going to swing by and pick up our daughter at OSU for one last family weekend. Everything was coming together perfectly. The weather report for the weekend said clear & sunny. After hanging up the phone, I turned to my wife and said, "Done. I think we are really going to like this place. That lady was so nice!" Arrived just after 4pm Friday afternoon. The clouds had rolled in, the wind had picked up and I had packed shorts. No biggie. It was still 60ish. Wife & daughter waited in the car while I went to check us in. Walked up the steps and was warmly greeted by Cathy who immediately said, "You must be Keith. I just tried to call you." Turns out Cathy had made the decision to swap our room with another guest that was having difficulty with the stairs. Our reservation didn't say anything about room preference so when Cathy couldn't reach me, she opted to make the switch and hope for the best. She was so nervous, but I quickly assured her it would be NO PROBLEM. We are very laid back about these things. Besides, Cathy said our room was actually going to be an upgrade to a King suite with a Queen. Cool. My daughter will enjoy not sleeping on a pullout and have her own room. We chatted a bit more about amenities, firewood for the beach, DVDs they had available and restaurant suggestions. Cathy drew a map and listed several I had already bookmarked on Yelp. Gave her a thumbs up and went to grab the girls and get us moved in for the weekend. Room 201. Second floor, extreme south end of the building. Opened the door and was immediately delighted in the spaciousness of the room. Definitely an oooo-aaaaah moment as we all said in unison, "Oh wow. OH WOW. Look at this. Oh look at THIS." To say we were impressed is an understatement. I knew we'd struck gold and Inn of the Four Winds was going to be a regular getaway for us in years to come. Quickly doing the math, the price we pay for semi annual trips to Hawaii...we could stay here a solid month! Ok---so why the four stars? Or 4.9 stars? You are gonna think I'm being picky, but this is more for the owners / management to read carefully and not let a good thing go to their head. This is truly a beautiful little hotel. Service is superb. Couldn't be better. But...looking closely at the other pics and reading the reviews, I see some wear & tear that will get away from them if left unchecked. I'd be heartbroken to see this gem go downhill. Please don't let that happen! A broken door handle here, paint chips, wall rubs and scuffs there...some peeling wall paper in the corner. Again, my eyes were scrutinizing the little things. But that's only because I don't want them to grow into big things. Love this place! Will stay here again & again. In closing, I'll steal from Bill in Vancouver, don't you stay here...or I'll have to loathe you!

Scott S.

Yelp
Can't say enough about this place! The staff are excellent and the rooms are super clean and comfortable. It's at the far end of the prom so it's relatively quiet and peaceful at night but only about a 10 minute walk to the shops and restaurants in town. We've stayed here numerous times and never been disappointed. We'll definitely be back again.

Miki M.

Yelp
The hotel is just fine, the rooms spacious and clean. My issue is with the management staff, especially the manager. Very aggressive with my grandchildren who came into the yard to retrieve an errant ball. Used foul language, even after being asked to knock it off in front of a 4, 6 and 8 year old. Reduced them to tears. Perhaps the pandemic has had an effect of this business, but the aggressiveness of the manager to my family was totally unnecessary. The children were in tears, the manager went on a rant and when asked to not swear in front on them, continued to do so. So disappointed in a next door neighbor. The beach should be family friendly, making memories in these tough economic times. Check out the dates of the good reviews, something has happened with the personnel to make me never recommend this to another person.

John C.

Yelp
How was our stay? There was no stay. There was no stay because of an out of control manager named RANDY. This person went out of his way to be an absolute $&@! beyond what I've ever experienced. Please believe that this is not hyperbole. To make a long story as short as possible, we booked a family trip with 3 rooms over a month in advance. The trip was coordinated by phone between my mother and a lady who assured us that our 11 guest family would be able to fit in their 3 room setup for 2 nights without issue. We've never stayed here and don't know their room layouts. We rely on their assurance when trying to book a family trip at an unfamiliar establishment. When we arrived with our family, Randy came out front to challenge us due to the number of guests he saw pulling in. Because my mother had booked the trip, she tried to rationalize what she had been told over the phone like any normal person would do. Randy immediately jumped on the defensive and told her that she should have looked at the confirmation. He would go on to repeat this rhetoric of it being our fault numerous times. We had our confirmation in hand. It says nothing about room size and how many children would fit. I suppose we were supposed to know the lady helping us on the phone was wrong. 3 rooms with 1 adult couple per room plus 2 kids per room. Randy insisted it wouldn't work over and over. No apology in his voice just hostility and frustration completely unprovoked. Try to understand us a bit here Randy we're a family of 11 who is just finding out we travelled to the coast to find out we have nowhere to stay now. Randy then demanded we head to the office and we'd be issued a refund. My parents, retirement age and very reasonable people, were subsequently ORDERED by Randy to "LEAVE the lobby" (myself included - keep in mind I personally had not spoken a single word yet) while trying to sort out the issue with the seemingly friendly lady behind the counter. Absolutely appalling attitude from Randy toward a couple near 70 years of age. This guy has a chip on his shoulder and is extremely unprofessional. I honestly can't put into words how unprofessionally we were treated. Keep in mind they already had $1,800 from us. At this point, I wouldn't sleep in a room here if you paid my way. It's a shame because the place appeared to be nice and clean but Randy completely ruined our family vacation and I hope another family can be spared the indignity we were subjected to due to an arrogant attitude of unsuitable management.

Yelp
We hate to give excellent reviews because people read Yelp and book rooms based upon reviews. Well, folks....this one is a keeper! Excellent location. Right on the "Prom" and the view is amazing. Take a stroll along the paved path, sit and chat with people passing by, or take a short journey on a sandy trail to the open ocean. Totally relaxing. Staff could not be finer! Wendy will visit with you about just about anything you might bring up....great movies to watch, great food to eat, the locals' best keep secrets for dining out, etc. She also makes a wicked white chocolate/macadamia nut cookie. Rooms are awesome. Extremely clean. I'm a white-glove sort of person which sometimes is a bad thing but when traveling in hotel rooms it's to my advantage. We've stayed in some pretty icky rooms (complete with dog feces in a "non-pet room"....a story to be told at another time.) The Four Winds is clean, sparking modern with fresh linens, with super comfy wing chairs, and the bed, wow the bed. Comfortable! The room comes with a nice little breakfast bar complete with coffee pot, mini fridge, microwave, dishes, glasses, etc., everything you need when you want a light snack while watching winter storms roll in from the ocean. Ok, enough gushing. I now realize after writing all of this that we will never be able to book the Inn of the Four Winds again (not in our lifetime!) --Jill

Yelp
I almost passed up this hotel because I wasn't able to book online, but I'm so so so happy I called. Perhaps I learned a lesson that human-communication IS a good thing. Our room was very nice and I had a GREAT nights sleep on the memory foam mattress. Listening to the ocean in front of the gas fireplace made the night unforgettable. We were able to purchase a bundle of firewood from the hotel and they even let us borrow lawn chairs and extra blankets to take out onto the beach. DVDS are available to borrow and we were thrilled that they had the Goonies, as our friend had never seen it. I highly recommend this hotel. It's in a quiet area off the Prom, and only a 5 minute walk to the main street, Broadway.

Mary Jo B.

Yelp
This is our first stay at the Inn. We have stayed at all the hotels owned by the Martin Hospitality group. We love them all but... the Tempur-pedic Mattress is not for us. Extra firm is not our thing. With that aside - if they change the mattress we will once again stay at any of their wonderful hotels: Stephanie Inn at Cannon Beach, Surfsand Resort in Cannon Beach or here at the Inn of the Four Winds. And to comment on another reviewer - the fireplace is a little tricky to light. If you want charm, great service and clean comfy rooms - you can't go wrong here. And - it's also far enough down the Prom from the circle drive that it is quiet. A plus for those of us who are done raising our children and want a quiet, relaxing get away yet close enough to walk to all the great restaurants in town!

Lynnette Q.

Yelp
One of our family MINI VACAY SPOT! Incredible service, ultra clean rooms with such a great mini yard for my kids to play. We prefer this Inn over any other hotels in the area, it may be the LAST hotel on the promenade BUT WE LIKE IT THAT WAY! (No noise at night) The staff here are more into detail when it comes to making you feel at home. From refreshments to watching over your vehicle! Totally going back again this year!

Cassie H.

Yelp
WONDERFUL hotel! Holy moly. We spent a solid 30 minutes calling hotels in seaside and cannon beach after a spur of the moment decision to drive there. Every hotel was full! It was very stressful, driving into town at 8:00 PM with nowhere to stay. I came across Inn of the Four Winds on yelp and saw a 5 star rating. I figured they were probably full (like the other 20 hotels I called) but decided to give it a shot! Cathy answered the phone and was so accommodating and friendly. She informed me she had THREE OPTIONS! This was like a light at the end of a long and dark tunnel. We arrived at the hotel and met Cathy in person, who is a ray of sunshine. She has soft cookies ready when you walk in the door and lots of movies to choose from (and puzzles!) we decided on The Cottage which is ADORABLE! Can't say enough good things about the cottage. It was impeccably clean, the beds were comfortable and the decor was so cute. We could not have imagined a better place to spend the evening! Cathy even called a local restaurant that was about to close and asked them to stay open for us (which they did). We were able to enjoy a good Italian meal in town thanks to her customer service. Very thankful to have found this place and will definitely be staying here again!

Nathan S.

Yelp
This place is awesome. My wife and I have stayed here multiple times and each stay has been great. This last stay was in one of the ocean front rooms and it was awesome. The bed and sheets were amazing!!! Everything is super clean and very well decorated. You are literally feet from the beech. Everything about it is awesome. One of the best things about The Inn of the Four Winds is the customer service. They will do everything in their power to make sure your stay is comfortable. My wife and I decided to try a new place for our vacation this weekend and it was terrible. It was so bad we decided it wasn't worth it to stay. I called Inn of the Four Winds and reserved a room. We drove 2 hours to the Inn an when I got there at 8pm they were there with a last minute honeymoon package for us. They SAVED our weekend! We will continue to go back to the Inn of the Four Winds for years to come I'm sure! If you are going to the Seaside area it is a great choice and I would definitely recommend it!

Dawn H.

Yelp
Romantic getaway with the boyfriend. This Inn was as cute as it gets. We had a King Bed Suite with gas fireplace (which kept us nice and toasty on a November night). Jacuzzi tub which is advertised as a one person tub, but can easily fit two adults. We didn't have a "ocean front" view, but we did have a 90 degree view of the ocean, which was just fine. About 8 blocks north of the promanade... The service was great! Had trouble starting the fireplace, and someone came right up and took care of it for us. Will definitely stay there again in the future!!! So cute and adorable!

John P.

Yelp
Do not stay at this motel. Business practices are horrible. After not answering the phone. They kept a deposit. When it was their fault. No integrity at this place. Especially at the front desk. We visit Seaside at 8-10 times a year. No longer at this motel. Hope the deposit kept was worth it. Do yourself a favor stay away.

Deborah C.

Yelp
This was a wonderful find! It sits on the Prom and our 2nd story view of the ocean was perfect. It is well appointed, with a comfortable mattress, electric fireplace, kitchenette with microwave and refrigerator. Attractive. Clean. Easy parking. I would definitely stay here again when in Seaside.

Marie H.

Yelp
Quaint inn. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and extremely comfortable tempurpedic bed. Nice view of the beach. Quiet, away from the activities of the main shopping, restaurant areas. Room was right by the parking lot though and could hear the engines of the cars starting. But I am sure that if you asked for a different room, you would not have this problem. It has H2O hair and body wash products. It has a gas fireplace but it is on a timer so it shuts off. Also I was on the first floor so I could hear the upstairs water running and people walking above me. However, the stay was overall very good. The staff was wonderful. They also greeted us with salt water taffy and cookies. I would stay here again. It was a little pricey though. $300 for one night.

Christy R.

Yelp
We found this place to be most accomodating....and quiet! Very clean also. Loved the movie selections and the cookies and taffy on arrival! Definitely a place to come back too!!

419er U.

Yelp
Don't stay here. Seriously. This place is amazing and I want there to always be a room there for us and if you stay here that might not always happen. You'll stay here. Fall in love with it, and then start finding excuses to spend the weekend in seaside just to stay here, just like we do. Then, some weekend when WE want to get away you will have just taken the last room, and I'll privately loathe you for days...possibly weeks. And you wouldn't want that now would you? Please don't make me loathe you.

Nathan P.

Yelp
Inn at the Four Winds is a treasure. Fantastic service, great location, and friendly, caring staff set this hotel apart from the rest. My wife and I have stayed here several times and are always impressed with the personal care and detail we receive. The rooms are clean and well taken care of. It's a small hotel compared with others in the area but the attention and care you'll receive is massive. My wife and I stayed here for our birthdays (we're a day apart in age) and there were birthday balloons, taffy, chocolate chip cookies, and a hand written note waiting for us in our room upon our arrival. Beach view and easy access as well as a sun deck with chairs along the beach front walkway so you can relax, soak up some sun, and people watch. We'll keep coming back for years to come!

Yelp
It was a rainy morning in Seaside Oregon. Actually it wasn't raining when I started my walk with my dog Noelle, we were having a nice walk down the street and then - it started sprinkling, and then the sprinkles got more and more, we were on 9th headed toward the beach and I decided to wait the rain out under the roof (by the office) of a very nice looking hotel. I called my husband and asked for a pick up and he said he'd be there shortly. In the mean time a man (who obviously worked at the hotel) came out and said "you know - we aren't a pet friendly hotel" I said no I didn't know this, however we are not staying here, we just wanted to get out of the rain until my husband picks us up. Again he said, "we are not a Pet friendly hotel". I said, "I was hoping that we could just stand here under the roof to stay dry..." he replied, "this is private property, I am asking you to leave and just walk home to your husband." At this I left after telling him that I had never been treated this way before and I was just trying to stay a little dry. Noelle and I left and started toward home where in a block, my husband was in our car driving toward us. Not Pet Friendly - ? Not People friendly either... in my opinion. I am deeply disappointed.

Yelp
This hotel is AMAZING!! I had read all the great reviews prior to making our reservation so I was expecting them to be pretty descent.. but wow! From super clean room to outstanding staff and great location, they are worth every penny. If you come to seaside, they are by far the best! We also went to cannon beach and looked at some places to stay there because we wanted to spend majority of our time down there. I have to say as many nice hotels as cannon beach has, I still think this place is the best. The drive is only 7 miles and you just cannot ask for better. And yes, the cookies in the office are very good. This hotel really made our experience at seaside a memorable one. Our kids loved it also. They are very accommodating to families.

Yelp
I came for two days in February as a "retreat", time to go off by myself. My husband and I had walked by the Inn on a previous trip to the Oregon coast. I was first impressed with the location (right on the Promenade with balconies looking out at the beach and ocean), then the staff who showed me the 2nd floor balcony room that would be safe for a woman staying alone. I reserved then, and the next day, arranged for a massage in room during my stay. Once I arrived, I was often delighted by the extras - robes, real dishes, bowls and silverware, hot chocolate, microwave, fridge and sink so I( could eat in-room when I wanted), pass to the gym, offer of movies (lots), great bed, chairs & table on balcony. It is a quick 9 block walk down the promenade to the "Turnaround" at Broadway, then a delightful walk up Broadway for every kind of store, coffee and meals. Loved walking up to the river (a few blocks) with a hot cup of coffee. Safeway is a few blocks further across 101 in case it's needed. It was a great experience!

Yelp
After several stays at this once lovely place, it has definitely taken a turn for the worse with new management and owners! Terribly rude people that have no sense of hospitality or customer service. I would definitely recommend NOT staying here! Such a bummer since the previous owners were so accommodating, nice and competent!!

Yelp
In my opinion there isn't a whole lot of good places to stay on the water here in town. This is right on the beach but there is alot of sand before the water begins, this is on the north side of town past the aquariam. It was a nice hotel though. It reminded me of a old apartment building though??? There is only about 10 rooms it is quite small. We had ocean view with balcony, one seperate room and then one bed in the living area. We paid $149

Yelp
We stayed here 4/10-4/12/15. A lovely, out of the way, but still near enough, small inn with an outstanding crew! Our room was amazing with the view, the tub, bed, and pillows. I even loved the decor! The staff took care of our every need quickly and with a smile. The only minor negatives were peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, scratchy towels, and the chips on the cabinet surrounding the microwave. We will definitely be back!!!! And soon!

Yelp
One of the best places we've stayed on the coast. Very quiet and clean. Robes were a play. Towels on the lighter side. Nice variety of dishes in the one bedroom suite. The back bedroom was quiet even though it looked out toward the parking area. Second floor looked out to a nice view of the ocean and beach. Not right on beach and towards the end if the promanade so a lot of privacy. First floor rooms wouldn't have much of an ocean view. New carpet so a little off gassing but they are putting money into it. The tub was a great soaking tub. The mattresses were the memory foam that conform to body. One of us liked that and one didn't. WithAAA discount great value for a beach property

Yelp
My husband and I stayed three nights at the Inn of the Four Winds and had a wonderful time. The accommodations were clean, quiet, safe, the view was beautiful and the staff was beyond helpful. We had a wedding in the town over (Gearhart) and one of the staff members personally drove us and dropped us off! It was so generous. One night we decided to have a fire on the beach and the Inn supplied beach chairs, towels, anything we could possibly need! We would definitely recommend this to a friend and even come back again ourselves! Thanks for a fantastic weekend on the Oregon Coast!!

Yelp
Very disappointing. After staying here a couple times per year for the last 15 years the new management has completely ruined the once friendly accommodations. The new staff goes out of their way to make you feel unwelcome. Very sad to say we will never return. This place was once like a second home to us and the staff like family. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else.

Yelp
We stayed here over New Years and had a fantastic time. The location, on the promenade and right on the beach, is exceptional. Staff were fabulous and very helpful with providing local recommendations. The Inn is located amongst a neighbourhood of cottages, but the main tourist street and several restaurants are only a 10 min walk away along the beach promenade. Our Oceanview Queen room had a fridge, microwave and dishes/cutlery so we were able to buy supplies at Safeway (about a 15 min walk away, on Hwy 101) to eat some light meals in our room. They also had gratis soup and cookies in the lobby for guests each evening. Especially after seeing how mediocre some of the alternative hotels along the promenade were, we were very happy to have found this wonderful place (thanks to the prior Yelpers' visits).

Yelp
This is our favorite home base while staying on the Oregon coast and we will undoubtedly be back, this time even sooner to take advantage of the off season discounts available!

Yelp
Just visited Inn of the Four Winds for a night. The staff was really friendly, the room was clean, and the price was reasonable. We had one of the rooms with an oceanfront view. The view was amazing! It had a balcony to sit out on, so we could see the ocean. It will even be nicer on a warmer day! I definitely suggest this hidden gem as a place to stay... It is in walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Our favorite was Maggie's. Will definitely be back :)

Yelp
This was one of the cutest places I've ever stayed. The staff at the front desk was so accommodating and sweet. We were greeted so warmly! We rented one of the cabins at Inn of the Four Winds, and it was beyond adorable. I can't believe we found such a great deal. The property is right on the beautiful beach and only a short, few block walk to downtown Seaside. It was quiet, and cozy, and so cute. It is a really short drive to Cannon Beach, however, Seaside is much more affordable and family friendly to stay in. We were kicking ourselves for only staying one night! I did not want to leave. You have to stay here, you will love it.

Yelp
Excellent, friendly, accommodating staff, great rooms, great location, great views. We booked two nights here. We thought we had booked a full ocean view room but it was a partial so we asked to be moved. Moving was no problem for the first night but we would have to switch rooms again for the second night. We wondered if we would have to stick around to move our stuff but they offered to do it so we could go enjoy the area. They go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay.

Yelp
Great place for a night on the beach. We stayed in a studio that had windows right on the boardwalk. Bed was the most comfortable of our trip -a pillowtop mattress. The most pleasant staff for our trip as well!

Yelp
I have been to a few inns in the area and this was by far my best experience. The ladies at the desk were more than kind and helpful. Very clean rooms and an overall very positive experience. The hotel is situated on the beach close enough to walk downtown, but far enough away to be in a quite area of the beach. I will be visiting again, thank you for the wonderful room.

Yelp
Don't Stay Here! You will be Disappointed. The recent change in management, their poor customer service and incompetence has made our annual family vacation spot for the last 10 years a thing of the past. We booked our rooms at the end of our stay last August 2016 for this August 2017, as we have done for the last 10 years. Come to find out we no longer have a reservation and they have already booked the rooms that we supposedly had reserved! This is so frustrating that such an outstanding hotel has been ruined, and Seaside is basically sold out for the days we thought we had reserved for our annual family vacation. What a huge disappointment!!

Yelp
We stayed at the Inn of the Four Winds' vacation rental down near 3rd Avenue, a block off the beach and promenade, and it was awesome. We came to Seaside to hang out with friends, who have a house in the area, and to have a bit of a vacation as a family. We are 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 1 tweenager. The vacation rental was just perfect for us and the people who run the Inn of the Four Winds and the vacation rentals made it a great experience. They are very accommodating, and worked hard even when I was researching where we would stay months hence to make sure we found the right place. We arrived in a rainstorm - the only one of our week-long stay, thankfully, at the end of August. We were greeted with fresh chocolate chip cookies and maps and advice about the best places to get dinner locally, along with our key cards. Walking into the vacation rental was a pleasure. Clean and recently-renovated, it is spacious and well appointed. We LOVED the Tempur-Pedic mattresses -- much better than what you generally find in hotels, and especially appreciated as someone with back problems. The living area is cozy, the kitchen fully stocked with just about everything you could need, including full-size fridge and stove etc....which made eating in most of the time convenient and our vacation more affordable. The bathrooms are really lovely. Super-clean and new, and the amenities they provide are really yummy. I especially loved the body wash. There's a large, loft-like bedroom and full bathroom upstairs. The upstairs bedroom has a queen sized bed and a full sized bed, so my daughters shared the queen and my son had the full to himself. Upstairs is also a small kitchenette, with a microwave and, as downstairs, a flat-screen tv. Downstairs there's also a gas fireplace. Nice for the cooler evenings. Out front there's a porch and in the back of the cottage is a picnic table and plenty of space to stash the bike we rented for the week out of sight of passers by. The staff was just delightful. When I asked if they had any chairs they could bring to put out on the front porch, they brought some over within a couple of hours. When I asked if they might have a pitcher they could lend me (so I could make iced tea and keep it in the fridge) they said they'd see what they could do. Within a few hours someone stopped by with a brand-new pitcher they'd just bought for us at the local Safeway. There is a fair amount of fun things to do, especially with kids, on the Oregon coast. There are beautiful towns to visit just north and south of Seaside, and a visit to the area would not have been complete without a visit to the Tilamook Cheese Factory. Lastly, their rates are very affordable, particularly considering it was high season at the beach. In all it was a delightful experience. If we return to Seaside we'll definitely stay at the Inn of the Four Winds vacation rental. I wish they had the same thing on the east coast, where we live!

Yelp
Had a great experience here. Got a cottage on 3rd Ave. Nice size cottage for a quite good price. Living room, alcove w/two beds, one bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. Service was very nice, let us get as many cookies and taffy as we wanted. Even better, they had a nice array of movies we could rent for free! Beds were comfy, had Blu-Ray player and nice TV inside. WiFi was a little weak but fast when it was on. 5/5 great service at good prices and also close to downtown.

Yelp
We were very pleased with our stay here. The staff was friendly and helpful. The accommodations were excellent and well maintained. The room has a small fridge, sink, microwave, and coffee maker, pretty much a whole kitchen minus the stove. Most of the rooms open up onto the beach, ours did not and was slightly discounted. They ask that you book for at least two nights, but this room had people booked with a single night gap, so they were able to accommodate our single night request. The room had a big king bed with memory foam that was very comfortable and it has a gas fireplace. They will provide beach towels and chairs upon request. They also have a DVD lending library free of charge. The room has basic cable, but there is no on demand movie option. The only complaint I had was that the free wifi was a bit slow. But I shouldn't be spending time on line while at the beach anyway. If we come to Seaside again, we'll be staying here.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I and our four kids stayed here recently and LOVED it. The rooms are beautiful, everything is high quality (beds/bedding, furniture, kitchens/kitchenettes, bathrooms, etc) and the views are amazing. Even in the details, with fresh cookies and saltwater taffy waiting for us on the table when we walked in. What really makes this place stand out though is the service. Everyone is very friendly and want to make sure you're having a great time. We told them that we wanted to have a fire on the beach that night and they supplied us with kids toys, blankets, skewers for hot dogs and marshmallows, and chairs and even a wagon for us to carry everything! So awesome. Back late? No problem. Had a place for us to put everything when we finally got back around 11. You don't get service like that very often, if at all, from other places - it was definitely a first for us. We definitely recommend it and will definitely be back.
