My wife and I recently stayed at the Inn on the Sound during our Cape Cod vacation. The property is very nice and ideally located right across the main road from the beach — a great spot if you're looking to enjoy the coast.||Each room includes a designated parking spot, though we found the spaces a bit tight for our larger SUV. The Inn operates with self check-in only, which isn’t our preference for a B&B-style stay, but the process was fairly easy. One small hiccup was the breakfast order form — it took a little time to figure out how to note preferences and food allergies. Fortunately, the manager happened to be in the lobby and kindly helped us complete the form and then gave us a quick tour of the property, which we appreciated.||We stayed in the Sippewisset Lake room, which was nicely appointed with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and had good water pressure. ||We were lucky to have warm, sunny weather the next morning, so we enjoyed breakfast on the deck overlooking the ocean — a definite highlight. Breakfast is served on a tray at your selected time, ready for pickup. The food was good, though not particularly memorable.||If you're looking for a clean, comfortable place close to the beach and ferries, the Inn on the Sound is a solid choice. While the experience wasn’t as personalized as some other B&Bs we've stayed at, the location and views definitely made it worthwhile.
