"For couples seeking an intimate getaway this month, there's plenty to discover in the coastal town of Beaufort, North Carolina. As always, each and every time we spend any time at the Inn on Turner, it never disappoints, it seems to get better and better each time. Kim & Jon are supreme hosts. So very aware of everyone's happiness and satisfaction. Breakfast, even as we have had them each time, we have never had the same breakfast twice. Happy Hour, the appetizers are incredible. Always fresh food and outstanding wines, and other cordials. I can not say enough about the comfort of our room. The bed, bedding, towels, and accessories that are available to use are far superior than any hotel. Clean, so clean. Quiet, even though you are only a short walk to Front Street, you never hear much going on outside. And the porch, sitting there you are quickly connected to the community. Passersby, smile and wave and it never ceases to amaze me that we are watching people walking to the waterfront from greater distances that we do. Thanks you Kim and Jon, this visit made our Holiday!!

We recently had the opportunity to visit the Beaufort area for a wedding, and since we had never been to Beaufort before, we looked closely at the local options. After seeing the outstanding reviews for **The Inn on Turner**, we decided to book — and we are so glad we did! From the moment we made our reservation until the morning we checked out, the entire experience was exceptional. Kim and Jon reached out as soon as we booked, touched base a couple of days before our arrival, and confirmed everything again on the day we arrived. Their communication and hospitality were truly appreciated. Once we arrived, everything was perfect. Our room was clean, beautiful, and thoughtfully prepared. The location of the inn was ideal, and to top it all off, the breakfast each morning was absolutely incredible. Cleanliness is always my number one priority when we travel, and **The Inn on Turner was immaculate** — truly spotless in every way. Thank you so much, Kim and Jon, for a wonderful weekend. We can’t wait to visit again!

Kim and Jon are wonderful inn keepers. Love! Love! Love, all the ambiance their inn offers. This was our 3rd time staying at the Inn on Turner and I don't know what is better, the breakfasts (my. oh my) or the delightful space. Very calming and regenerative. We can't recommend the Inn on Turner enough.

The Inn on Turner is extremely nice. Kim and Jon are great hosts and try to accommodate your every need. The cleanliness, service, and value met our expectations. The location is in the heart of where you want to be, I would highly recommend this B&B if you are looking to get away to a comfy and cozy retreat. We look forward to another visit to this quaint location in the future.||Jamie and Becky Moody

Inn on Turner exceeded our expectations in every way! From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcome and comfortable. The Inn is charmingly decorated with coastal decor and local art! Each day started with early riser coffee followed by delicious homemade breakfasts using local products! Kim was a local guide expert, attentive to our interests and provided us with great tips for exploring Beaufort and planning our day. We especially enjoyed the 5:00 PM happy hour which was a great opportunity to connect with other guests. Inn on Turner truly stands out for Southern charm and hospitality, and a big shout out to PBS NC Weekend for featuring Inn on Turner.

We love the IOT but for this year's trip they were sold out so we booked a nearby B&B. Yes, the secret has been out for a while and that is good news for the IOT. Despite "no room at the inn" we stopped by after the Christmas Market for festive hugs and catching up. Kim added to our visit with a wonderful cup of boozy hot cocoa. Her innovative spirits & superior hospitality NEVER disappoint. We travel often and can say with 100% honesty that Kim and Jon's IOT is the gold standard. 5 star review every time!!!

This was my first bed and breakfast, so I had some concerns. Kim erased them with her welcome as I tried to follow her instructions for arriving at the inn. It was the start of a relaxing and informative stay in Historical Beaufort, North Carolina. Innkeepers Kim Bell & Jonathan Haas embraced us as close friends, rather than just guests, and ensured we had everything we could want. Each night at happy hour, Kim ensured any guest had great dining options and made reservations when needed. The cozy room, one of four available in the historic building, was beautiful and comfortable for sleeping, but sometimes it was hard to leave the porch or sitting area to crawl into bed. Breakfast each morning included local ingredients and was both beautiful and delicious, while always meeting the dietary requirements of each guest. Her knowledge of the area and personal connections to restaurants, businesses, and recreational options around made the visit educational and enjoyable. I highly recommend visiting the Inn On Turner whenever you’re in Beaufort NC.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at the Inn over the New Year for our anniversary. Kim and Jon were so accommodating and more than that, they were just nice. The food was excellent every morning and made the start of the day easy. There were things that I wouldn't cook at home but I enjoyed at the Inn. It was so nice to have someone take the time to find out what we liked to do in order to make recommendations for how to spend our day. Kim was so wonderful to make reservations for us for anything we wanted from food to the ferry. Staying in an inn can have pros and cons. You don't want to feel like you are staying in your Great Aunt Emma's house but you want it feel homey. The Inn on Turner has just the right combination of comfort, privacy and ease of use. Check in and check out were a breeze. We loved having the cocktails at night and Kim even went over and above and left us a midnight snack for New Year's. There was not one thing that I wanted or needed that wasn't attended to. The Inn was just far enough way from town to walk but not feel like you were in the thick of things. There were so many great shops and restaurants and bars that you could be there for days and not get to them all. tI would go back again for sure.

Yelp
I appreciate the updated decor of this Inn as a lot of Inns think they have to be old world decor. Kim is a great host and so very knowledgeable of the area, and she is willing to help in any way possible to make your stay fun. The breakfasts were good and weren't overfilling or sickeningly sweet. Knowing everything was local is an added bonus. The Inn is in walking distance to everything downtown Beaufort, so you can park your car and not need your car keys for the rest of the stay. The cocktail hour is such a nice reprieve in the evening, and sitting on the porch is wonderful. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is solely because of the shower. This is a top-rated Inn and it is not cheap, so the very small plastic (or whatever it's made of) shower in this beautiful room, in this wonderful Inn was a let down. There's barely room to turn around. The bed was super comfortable and the rooms are a nice size.

Yelp
Kim and Jon go to great lengths to ensure their guests expectations are exceeded. Breakfast was fantastic and the facility is a short walk to the waterfront. Definitely would recommend and will stay with them again!

Yelp
The Inn on Turner was homey and relaxing from the first step through the door, that perfect mix of higher class furnishings without making you afraid to sit on the furniture. The bedroom was comfortable and calming with breezy coastal decor. I did not mind the lack of television and actually enjoyed not hearing the news through the walls from other guests, as can easily happen in other BnBs. The in-room amenities were high quality (sound machine, ample outlets, hangers, etc) - and products all smelled great! The quality of sleep was extremely high. Kim was a fantastic host providing not only dinner recommendations but also providing reservations! Kim also supplied guests with the day's activity recommendations as breakfast was served. Complimentary happy hour and breakfast were quite a treat. Sitting at the outdoor firepit after dinner was the perfect way to end the day. Street parking in October was a breeze. Location of Inn was perfection - two blocks to main downtown drag but on a quiet street. I LOVE that the IOT is adult only. There's an extra feeling of calm for couples and singletons when they enter a kid free place. (Plenty of kid friendly options elsewhere.)

Yelp
The owners of the inn, Kim and Jon, are absolutely incredible. The communication, attention to detail, and hospitality is a level I've never experienced. They truly want to do everything in their power to make your stay wonderful and unforgettable! The inn is historic and charming and is elevated by coastal decor and the location is ideal. If you're looking for a delightful stay in quaint Beaufort with wonderful hosts, look no further than the Inn on Turner!

Yelp
FULL COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW of the Inn on Turner. FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Prior to arriving: Kim was very professional on the phone and took the time to answer any questions that I had. She sent a very informative email with suggestions on things to do in the area and places to dine. She offered to book any dining reservations prior to our stay, which is a nice touch if you are short on time. Upon arriving: Nicely restored historical home, similar to a lot of the inns in Beaufort, the third oldest city in the state. Tastefully decorated inside and thoughtfully set up for guests to lounge and relax. The house is a little further from the main attraction of Front Street than some of the other inns, but it is still only a short walk. THE ROOM: Also tastefully decorated. Fairly spacious for an older home, and a private bathroom, which is always a plus. Pretty color scheme throughout the house- a bit more modern than some of the older homes. THE FOOD: Kim and Jon go the extra mile to serve an evening appetizer with an alcoholic beverage for happy hour, in addition to the breakfast each morning. The dishes were simple yet elegant. During my two nights there, I was served the following appetizers: -chicken wings, olive salad, pistachios, and rose wine -peel and eat jumbo shrimp, pimento cheese spread with crackers, peanuts, and choice of beer or wine I was served the following breakfasts: -oatmeal with apples, raisins, and nuts, local sausage, fresh juice, and coffee -huevos rancheros, fresh fruit in a tequila finish, fresh juices, and coffee Dinner is available, as well as small parties, although we didn't take advantage of this. The portion sizes of all the meals were generous. Coffee service starts at 8:30, and breakfast is always served at 9 a.m. Happy Hour begins at 5 p.m. My only complaint is that we wished the coffee and juice were available earlier. We generally get up pretty early and had to walk down to the coffee shop for a drink. It is pretty close though, so it isn't too inconvenient. There was also no fridge to keep things cold. My wife and I wanted to relax with some drinks, so we ended up keeping a cooler in our room. Not ideal, but it worked. Kim did offer to keep our drinks in the fridge, but the kitchen is off-limits, so we decided against it for convenience sake. ALLERGY RECOMMENDATIONS: Kim was very accommodating to my wife's food allergies, which was kind of her. We did let her know ahead of time so that she could be informed before grocery shopping, which I would recommend. THE PEOPLE: Kim and Jon make an effort to get to know their guests and to make sure you are comfortable. The are both friendly and want to ensure you are taken care of. They keep a nice balance between being accessible and providing you with privacy. Kim is easily reached via phone or email if you should need anything during the stay. THE STAY: My wife and I enjoyed our stay here and were much more comfortable than in a standard hotel room. We liked the character of the house and having a common area to relax in. We also enjoyed having the option to sit on the porch or by the fire pit. OVERALL: It may be a little more than the other B&Bs in town, but the extra touches and hospitality of Kim and Jon are by far worth every penny. Would highly recommend for a nice, quiet getaway.

Yelp
We had a great time. Happy hour in the evening, great breakfast in the evening. We had dinner at the Inn one night and it was very good. We will definitely stay here again

Yelp
This was a find! On our way back home to NoVa we wanted to try some Carolina BBQ. After a couple of false starts that led us to chains, we went out of our way to get here. We were surprised by some of the best BBQ we have ever had. We had the brisket, pulled pork, ribs, chopped beef, potato salad, Cole slaw, fries and Mac n cheese. The ribs and brisket were hands down the best we have had. Service was great. Everything was out doors. We even ordered a fresh peach cobbler. Lots to take home and enjoy tomorrow. You will not go wrong by heading here even if it is out of your way.

Yelp
Thank you so much to Kim and Jon and the Inn on Turner for our amazing stay. This was the most rejuvenating and relaxing five days of our lives. You all must go to Beaufort, NC if you need to recharge your batteries. The attention to detail that Kim and Jon show every guest is breathtaking. The room was perfect; temperature, bed, comforter, bathroom, color, perfect. And last September, after the hurricane, the room we stayed in had no roof! And now it's perfect. The breakfast every morning was delicious. I sat here for a minute trying to come up with adjectives to try and describe the taste. I literally don't have the vocabulary! Amazing. Kim even set out different cutlery every day! Attention to detail. At breakfast every day she asks questions to see how she can help your stay be more special by making recommendations and offering assistance. All the while everything, including the delicious bourbon we had at Happy Hour (Oh, yeah, everyday there is Happy Hour at 5!), is locally sourced. Kim and Jon are ALL ABOUT locally sourced and sustainability. I came in from an early morning walk and Jon was selecting herbs from their garden that ended up in my breakfast! The town is so chill. We had lunches and dinners at so many great restaurants. Shopped in a beautiful downtown that was only two blocks away. We saw wild horses and great beaches. I love Beaufort, NC, but I love it even more because of the Inn on Turner!

Yelp
My husband I spent several nights at the IOT recently and were very happy with the inn. Our room was quiet, comfortable and clean. Breakfasts were delicious, and featured local products. We really appreciate all their efforts to be environmentally-friendly. The location is great; a quiet residential area that is just a short walk from all the restaurants and shops on the water. Our innkeeper was very personable and accommodating. It was our anniversary, and we were greeted with a bottle of champagne - such a nice gesture! We would definitely stay at the Inn on Turner again.

Yelp
We spent 2 nights at the Inn on Turner just last week. Kim called when I made the reservation, contacted us about a dinner opportunity, and then called before we arrived to see if we had any questions. I appreciated her extra help. We did take advantage of their amazing in house dinner featuring fresh everthing! We are from the west coast so enjoyed the east coast seafood. The appetizers were generous and yummy, and well paired with wine. Breakfast was also delicious. We decided to go shelling via a local walk-on ferry. Jon and Kim made us a delicious picnic lunch and helped equip us. Their Inn was definitely a highlight of our N.C. visit.
