We love the Inn Town Campground! I am a local event planner and often have to find places for groups to stay, whether it's for a wedding or my own family. Inn Town is a really great option because it's relaxing and in nature, while still being accessible to all the cute gold mining towns. I also like that they have so many different options to stay! There is something for everyone, especially at the well-stocked camp store. Would definitely recommend.

This campground is an absolute gem. The location is perfect, the common areas are beautiful and thoughtfully designed, and there is so much pride of ownership. It's magical to camp under the trees and be able to walk to downtown Nevada City. And it's a bonus that the river and the lake are only 20 min away! It's also close to the trails surrounding Deer Creek in Nevada City. I haven't stayed in a glamping tent yet, but I have taken a tour, and they are beautiful and incredibly cozy if you want a bit of an upgrade. And there's a pool!! I will definitely be returning.

An absolute oasis. Such a peaceful place to visit. The grounds are well maintained and the facilities the cleanest I have ever seen while camping. I stayed in a glamping tent and it was perfect. The bed warmer was a very nice touch and I was thankful for it on the cold nights. The deck was perfect for my morning coffee and enjoying the peace and quiet. Very dog friendly. I would definitely go back and highly recommend.

Google
The campground was immaculate. The location is ideal. It is a 1 mile walk to town. The facilities are really nice here. Having a fully stocked kitchen and a nice hangout area was great. Was nice not having to bring all of my cooking gear. I would definitely recommend the Inn Town Campground if you are looking for a really nice campground that is nestled in tall, beautiful trees close to town.

Google
Pretty and convenient campsite with nice facilities. I was in Nevada City for a bike race and wanted to camp nearby. I didn't realize that "nearby" could mean basically in town! The location is super convenient, but it feels like any other more remote campground once you're inside. The bathrooms were super clean, the campsites were nice and roomy, and they had some nice facilities, such as a store and kitchen area. It's also right beside a cute railroad museum and a short drive or even bike ride from Nevada City downtown, which has great shopping and restaurants mixed in with lots of cool gold rush era historical buildings. Like anything, it wasn't perfect. Being close to town, there was loud music at night from a venue not on the campground, but it ended at a somewhat reasonable time (9:30 or 10ish, if I remember correctly) I had a nice conversation with one of the managers about it the following day, and it's not a common issue, and they're addressing it with that venue. Also, it's not the cheapest as campsites go, but still a lot cheaper than a hotel, and a lot more relaxing. Finally, campfires are limited, but you can rent a fire setup if desired. All in all, a nice place and definitely worth a look. Nevada City was a great place overall, and this made for a nice blend of camping in the trees but with lovely restaurants and shopping not too far away. It's somewhere I'll definitely look to go again.

This is the second time I've had the pleasure of staying at Inn Town. Both experiences have been in the glamping tents; they are nicely appointed and, being November, the heated blankets were MUCH appreciated. We finally had opportunity to use the common kitchen, dining, and living areas and they were awesome. The kitchen is extremely well stocked and it was nice to have a fire nearly always burning in the living common area. It's also very nice being walking distance "to town" with lots of stuff to see and do while there (and it's a short drive to lots of other stuff too). Definitely looking forward to a return visit.

My husband and I camp almost exclusively in remote campsites and are not fans of big camping parks. That said, we absolutely loved Inn Town Campground and would definitely go back. The site was lovely and clean, the staff were all amazingly friendly, the grounds and bathrooms were spotless. We were there over Halloween and the decorations awesome. Highly recommend.

Google
I’ve stayed here twice and have booked a third reservation to celebrate my birthday in February. I enjoy off-season camping and Inn Town has my thumbs up satisfaction for cleanliness, amazing staff and an all around beautiful campground. I camp in an Aliner travel trailer and the RV sites with hook-ups are perfect.

Yelp
I would of given them a better review had they refunded us our last day we didn't stay. We had to leave due to a death. We were told you have to give 72 hours notice. I didn't see this in their cancelation terms. I believe we and one other were the only people staying in the camp ground. Not a good way business plan.

Yelp
CLEARLY a five star camp ground! We've been to more than a few and this one is top tier for certain. We haven't even left yet, and I can already tell you it's five stars. RV's (check website for specifics), tent camping and "glamping tents". Some RV spots have full hook ups, including water, power, and waste disposal at your spot. For those with fewer needs, they have sites with just power and water or nothing but the spot for those more adventurous! You"ll need your tent or maybe the car will work. You can also stay in one of there galmpimg tents which have soft beds and a bit of amenities for those who would rather insure their comfort. The site has restrooms, showers, a very nice shop, and way too much more to list or this post would get lengthier. Right next to this campground Jo's a truly amazing railroad museum that houses some incredible history. We were treated to a personal tour since there weren't many people there when we arrived. Near here is what we came for. To revisit the Alpha and Omega Hydraulic mine sites. Malakoff is near here if no off road vehicle is preferred. Either way you are in the heart of the area that made California rich! We'll be back for certain. I couldn't have been more satisfied with this campsite!

Yelp
We arrived after hours and were met by a nice gentleman who escorted us to our site and showed us where to park our trailer we had towed our jeep on. Cleanest campground we have stayed in. RV site was great. Train museum within steps. Pool was fun, lots of families staying cool in the heat. Dogs are welcome. Never saw any POOP anywhere. Gift shop/office Erin was super nice and friendly as were all other staff members we encountered. Bummed I didn't get to meet Dan, the owner.

Yelp
Had the best time at Inn Town campgrounds. Went for 1 day and ended up staying 3. Other than the rain, it was nice. There are enough trees to shade you from getting to wet. Our heating pad wasn't working, but we informed the office, and they were on it right away. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The common area is nice as well. No regrets, and I'll def be back. Prices are reasonable, too. Showers are clean, and I was able to wash/dry clothes too because I didn't plan on staying for 3 days.

Megan B.

Yelp
I love coming here!! We had a quick stop over this weekend and found the glamping tent to be genuinely comfortable! The bed was amazing and the heated pad made the chilly morning feel so cozy! The bathrooms are clean and so well maintained. I really love everything about this campground!

Yelp
Horrible. That place belongs in LA. The employees are super lame. I went to visit a friend there and while I was walking to the campsite I had to utilize the restroom. I asked one of the maintenance workers if I could have the key code to unlock the the restroom and he replied, "It's only for paying guest" assuming I was just wandering into the campground. The whole experience was awful. Every last employee I interacted with was arrogant and talked to me like I was interrupting there privite little social scene. Don't waste your time. Our county has some many better places to check out. Hope this place goes under. Then they can have it to themselves like they obviously want. They should go back back to wherever the hell they came from.

Yelp
I love this place! Clean bathrooms, cute cozy glamping tents. They have little fire pits you can rent. It's super close to great spots along the yuba river. They have a clubhouse type communal kitchen, we didn't use it but it looked nice. Also there is a little store with snacks and cans of wine etc. Very friendly staff. we had a LOVELY stay

S S.

Yelp
We stayed here for 4 nights with our travel trailer and booked one of the sites with full hookups. We really enjoyed the property and the amenities. Highly recommend booking a stay here. Bonus is being able to bring our 15 year old puppy with us!

Hannah N.

Yelp
The location is very nice and beautiful. The bathrooms were very clean, although the spot we booked was right next to the train museum and it was very loud construction all day starting early morning and that should definitely be put on the website when booking. I'd also like to say that the staff at the office were VERY rude to all of my friends and family. I would say they definitely need help with hospitality.

Yelp
Awesome campground! We traveled from San Diego, CA. The bathrooms are clean, the showers are great and so is the laundry room.

Yelp
Inn Town Campground is a cute little campground located in, Nevada City. Some friends and I went for a glamping girls' trip, and we had a lovely time. One of the best parts about Inn Town Campground is how clean the grounds are. The glamping tents were very clean, and you can tell that the staff does a great job with maintenance. To add, In each glamping tent, there was a fan, and lamps for electricity. In addition, there are outlets to charge your electronic devices. They also offer wi-fi. Furthermore, the campground offers many amenities. For example, they have an entire communal kitchen for guests to cook in. You can leave all of your cold items in their refrigerator and use their stove to cook on. Along with the kitchen, there is also a little general store, so if you forgot anything, this store most likely has the item you might need. In addition to this, they have a pool, showers, common area, and little picnic tables to eat on. To expand on the showers, the showers are a single stall with a lock. One of the showers, you are actually outside and can see the stars. I enjoyed how the showers are singles, rather than a communal locker room style. In addition, the campground is only a one mile walk into Nevada City. You can easily go into town for some shopping or dining. Overall, Inn Town Campground was a great place to stay! Thank you for having us!

Yelp
We live local (Grass Valley), but wanted to try out glamping for our 35th anniversary. After reading the article in the Union, we scheduled a tour of the Inn Town Campground to make sure that this was going to work. I use a wheelchair so tent camping would be a bit too 'rough' but glamping? A definite yes! The park-like setting is well thought out accessibility-wise and ITC has put a positive spin on wheelchairs and camping being in same sentence. The whole place has a rustic, yet comfortable and spacious feeling about it...from the glamping tent to the Commons to the restrooms and shower areas. It's all so clean and thoughtful. My husband and I were both impressed. We checked out the RV and tent areas too. This place is huge and so well laid out! The glamping tent we stayed in was big enough for the two of us. It was decorated really cute with a New Zealand theme. The bed was comfortable and there was a fan that kept the tent cool. There were some animal noises later in the evening (we think it was probably fox) but nothing that was scary. The staff - Jenny and Teena - were the best! Helpful, professional and friendly. We appreciated the time and information that Dan, the owner, gave us on our tour. We were glamping during mid-week so there weren't a lot of other glampers but there were several RVers. The place seems to have something for everyone! Everything about our experience was exceptional and accommodating. Next time we plan on bringing our own food and using the kitchen area and maybe take in a movie. It was a great romantic getaway. We highly recommend ITC!

Yelp
Booked one night for myself and my 9 year old daughter on glamping #2. It is May, and the weather is unpredictable. I booked thinking that the heated blanket in the tent would be enough. I checked in at 1pm went to downtown Nevada city and never really used the glamping until I returned. About 8pm the temperature dropped and the weather predicted 43f for the night. Inside the glamping it was FREEZING. I got the worst cold head headache one could imagine. I packed and left. Never laid down on the bed and never really spent any time in the glamping site. I ended up getting a last minute room in a nearby hotel and checked out by 8:15pm. The camping site is great, clean bathrooms and nice area to cook in their kitchen. I was hoping since I never used the room to get a credit to return during the summer. I called them and they said no and claimed I had used the bed? Anyway, it was my fault for booking during spring but I thought they'd be more flexible. I drove all the way from SF and it was my first time there. Caution: if you are sensitive to cold or have small children, do not book these until summertime. It's freezing in the glamping site and there is not really any insulation. The heating blanket is not enough at all for the cold forest weather. I hope this review can help other families.

Yelp
(Would give zero stars if we were able). I completely agree %100 with a previous reviewer. If you can't CHANGE your reservation after air quality reports are in the HAZARDOUS levels, then this is not the business you want to be spending your money at. This is what hazardous air quality guidelines are: "People with heart or lung disease, older adults, and children should remain indoors and keep activity levels low. Everyone else should avoid all physical activity outdoors." I had been keeping my eye on the air quality levels for two weeks prior to the morning I called. The levels drastically went from okay to "stay inside". We called two days prior because air quality was actually at hazardous levels, to change the date to later in the month. We wanted to move it to another date, (there were many later options open when I checked). Whoever I spoke to was inflexible and unwilling to work with me. They even said I never reached out, but I DID! We were going to make this a yearly trip in September (we came last September) but not anymore. They don't take a deposit when you make your reservation, they charge the whole amount and you don't get refunds, period, if you need to change your reservation, unlike most good campgrounds that only charge you the deposit. If they respond to this review it will be "we have a cancellation policy for a reason, we can't show preferential treatment to you, blah blah blah." Being rigid on your policy is exactly why you've lost this customer. With the customer service being horrible,we will never go back here or recommend them to anyone else.

Yelp
It's located sort of tucked behind an industrial area in Nevada City, with a mixture of RVs, glamping tents and campsites. It's got a nice family-friendly set up and very welcoming - the owner couple's young son checked us in. Our glamping tent #15 was charming, spotless, and opened up to a back patio with a view of trees. Our tent came with a dedicated picnic table and chairs (you can also rent propane and a fire pit). I think most of the 18 glamping tents are fairly close to the others, so you might not have the remoteness or privacy you crave. They've also got a small pool and the bathrooms/showers were well-maintained and clean. Inn Town is within walking distance to downtown Nevada City and close to nearby hikes and South Yuba River activities. We had a lovely time just hanging out on the back deck of our glamping tent and catching movies in their outdoor theater.

Yelp
We've been here a several times camping and rented the RV with both the kids and also on an adult only trip. We absolutely love it here. The camp hosts are friendly and helpful. And, although not available due to C19, the communal kitchen and lounge area is one of the things we most loved about this campground. List of other highlights that we love: Glamping tents! Outdoor shower Bathrooms and showers are super nice, have electric outlets and CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!!! There is a short trail into town for exploring downtown Chinese cemetery in the middle of the campground ( not creepy at all-actually beautiful) Railroad museum next door Movie nights Yuba river is a short drive away Only down side is they have yellow jackets late summer. Prior to Covid19 it wasn't a problem as we would cook in the RV rental or communal kitchen but with those now unavailable we skipped going this year, sad about that but hopefully next year things will be different.

Yelp
I can't believe I'm reading this comment from the place of business below! That's extremely bad customer services no matter what someone's experience was. In fact, Ahsha was very polite when leaving her experience on 4th of July. I was there this weekend. This is a weekend that had fireworks pass 9pm. The fireworks were loud, as expected. A lot louder than a group of people conversing over a camp fire. Keep in mind the musoc was evwn turned off! With stress and tensions already high due to the pandemic and the way of living has changed, especially for choldren, people get away to laugh! At no point over this weekend, was no "partying" taking place! We are all over 45 yrs old with small children! I was approached and harressed when walking back to my camp ground about being to loud! I about dropped my water bottle because I couldnt believe it was happening! No business should respond in this manner when someone leaves their experience! In reality, her comment could be helping your business so a group who wants to gather after 9 doesn't go! Or if a younger group in their 20's is looking for a good time they realize not to go to this convalescent campground

Yelp
We stayed here for a night in our class B with our two kids and it was so nice. We had full hookups (every electric connection is lighted with the campground logo and that was so helpful arriving after sundown!), the site was perfectly level, and it was super duper clean. We were there on an off weekday in the winter, so we didn't expect any activity, but there were some interesting elements within the campground like an old mine shaft, Chinese cemetery, and an old West backdrop that my kids (ages 7 and 5) got a kick out of. There is more to the campground from what you can see at the front check in, and its all peaceful, clean, and relaxing! We didn't use any shared amenities, but they all looked in line with this. You can really tell that this campground is run by people who really care about your experience and take pride in what they offer. We had a hiccup with our reservation on our end, and while they totally did not have to, they extended themselves to graciously accommodate us. Thank you - we will be returning and recommending you!

Yelp
I'm very sad to have to write this review about Inn Town Campground. We were booked to stay with them for 5 nights and with a party of 6 groups. Sadly, when the weekend came, there were terrible fires in the area and the air quality was dangerously bad. Evacuations were ordered all around the area. We called Inn Town Campground to inquire about cancellation OR moving our booked dates to a safer weekend. We were told (by a very rude and condescending woman) that the air quality was excellent (which was a blatant lie) and that Inn Town Campground would not refund or move our booked dates. We called around to hotels in the area and they all advised us NOT to travel to the area and that the air quality was unsafe. Inn Town Campground was willing to put the health of their customers at risk in order to keep from canceling bookings. I understand the need to protect revenue and to ensure that a business stays solvent (especially after a rough COVID year), but to be so rude and unkind to customers is inexcusable. If there had been some kindness and patience, my sentiment towards the situation would be greatly changed. My Mother wrote a similar review about her experience with Inn Town and the owner actually called her on the phone after seeing the review and accused her of trying to 'ruin her business' and informed my Mother that because of her review, they would not be welcomed back to the campground. This is both highly surprising and highly unprofessional. We had been to the campground several years in a row, but we will be taking our business elsewhere. We will also be advising our friends to stay clear of their business as well. Shame on you, Inn Town Campground.

Yelp
I had a wonderful two days in one of the Glamping tents The grounds were well-maintained and the bathroom was spotless The staff was very helpful and friendly The Setting in the trees is very relaxing I will be back

Yelp
Book it now! You won't regret it. Everyone is so nice and my kid's had the best time ever. They seem to have movies every night during the summer and the bathrooms/showers are very clean. Every employee was super sweet and accommodating, even after my son and his friend made a mess digging out dinosaurs in a common area. Very comfortable place to let your kid's be kid's, which is much needed. Everyone was very respectful in the community kitchen. By far the best camping experience I have ever had.

Alicia C.

Yelp
Excellent campground for parents with young kids and camping newbies. Lots of amenities & great showers. Not really camping by more hardcore standards as you're literally in town and able to view the roof tops of people's homes. Weird! That's why I gave it a 4. It's lovely, but not "secluded campy" enough for my personal taste.
google avatar

Pam C.

Yelp
We were here for a short family reunion. We had the two people tent with a cot for one child, our daughter had the family tent for four people and our other family members got a campsite for their personal tent. This worked perfectly for us! Glamping tents were clean and comfortable. They even had towels, showers and patio chairs! The workers were friendly and the other campers were quiet. I'm looking forward to going again!

Yelp
Loved our stay at Inn Town Campground. I see others have complained out rules. If you want to party all night this is not the right place for you. This is a well maintained, clean, family friendly glamping at its finest. We spent the day swimming at the Yuba river. When back to camp in late afternoon, kids swam in the pool while we last dinner in the communal kitchen. Then movie under the stars at 7:45pm. The kitchen has all the cooking tools. But be sure to pack your own oil/butter, paper towels, foil. It'll even make this place more perfect if they had a dog park and a booger pool with slides. Many families had dogs and/or young kids. Our thought it was cool to play by the train tracks. We also enjoyed the train museum and the Empire mine museum. We are already looking at the calendar to return. Would highly recommend for all families.

Yelp
Great glamping in Nevada City. Went with another couple & were able to get tents across from each other (G23 & G25- next to each other, but away from others.) Super comfy bed. Very clean bathrooms. It's covid time so not all the amenities, will return when everyone is open. Nice to be able to rent propane fire pits. Outdoor movies that are family friendly. Small pool, which was pretty packed (hot weekend!). Great location for the Nevada City downtown district dining & shopping, as well as the Yuba River (the front office has a great map with multiple river options).

Yelp
I've come here every year since they have opened. As a female camping alone I always feel safe here. The location is beautiful and so convenient to town as well, hence the name. The grounds, tent sites, glamp tents and bathrooms are immaculate. I've stayed in the glamp tents as well as tent camped. Beds are very comfortable with heated mattress pads in the cooler months. They have propane fire pits for rent which are really great and the camp store has S'more kits if you forgot yours. The owners and staff are welcoming and have great local recommendations for things to do, restaurants, etc. The Yuma river is a short drive and lots of hiking in the area. I look forward to coming here every year.

Yelp
We stayed at the Inntown campground this past winter while on a cross country road trip from NC to CA. Our route mainly stuck to highway 1 along the coast, but we came inland after hearing so many great things about the yuba river and Nevada city. The drive was worth it! Though obviously too cold to swim in the Yuba (which would have been amazing! I've been drooling over summer yuba pictures for years) We arrived just in time for Nevada City's Victorian Christmas festival! Locals were dressed to the nines in Victorian clothes along with standard Christmas costumes (even a Christmas tree costume). As we were strolling along the sidewalk we ran into a group caroling "Here we come a-wassailing"- a song I haven't heard since I was a kid. To top it off there was actually a man (complete with top hat) roasting chestnuts over an open fire. I kid you not. We even got to sample some. There's a photo of Nevada city right next to the word quaint in the Oxford dictionary. All of the buildings are original and kept in good condition and you feel like you're walking back in time. Later I was told that the downtown area was used as a movie set and I'm not surprised. But I digress, let me get back to the Inn Town Campground itself! This is seriously the nicest campground we have ever stayed in. No exaggeration. We were immediately given a friendly greeting by camp staff along with a quick tour (upon request) of their facilities. The camp store was fantastic and well stocked with snacks and supplies. There was a massive community kitchen with several cooking stations along with everything you needed to cook. I've never seen a community kitchen like this before in any campground (at least not one that's large and stocked) and we were impressed. I wish we could say that we used it, but truthfully we ate out for all of our meals in town. Our campsite was perfect. The campground is full of tall beautiful trees and the ground was blanketed with soft pine needles. The grounds are spotless and well maintained/ we did not spy a single cigarette butt or cast away bottle anywhere in the campground. Speaking of smoking, we really appreciated that smoking is only allowed in designated areas. I'm allergic to cigarette smoke and there's nothing worse then ending up camping next to a group of smokers when you're trying to enjoy the fresh air :) The bathrooms were spotless and pretty dang nice. There's a code you are given to use the bathroom, it did take me a second to memorize it, but I appreciated knowing there were not random people using the facilities! They also have WiFi which came in handy for watching a movie on our tablet. Lastly, the owners of the campground Dan and Erin are wonderful people. We met them both while setting up camp and we were both impressed by how kind they were and the time they took to chat with my fiancé and I. You can tell they love what they do and it comes through in their beautiful place. Highly recommend staying here and I hope we get to return in warmer weather one day!

Yelp
Loved this place - great location. We loved walking into town. The property is peaceful, clean, and well cared for and the sites are nice. The bathrooms and showers are super clean and also really nice. Clearly, the owners have put thought into the design and upkeep of Inn Town Campground and we will be back when we're in the area.

Yelp
We LOVED this campground. Tent-camped at a beautiful site by the railroad tracks and creek. The bathrooms, community house, and even the outdoor dishwashing stations were immaculate. I have never seen such a clean campground! The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. Honestly a very high vibe place in my opinion. Grass Valley and Nevada City are both a 5-minute drive and there are tons of vegan food options. We can't wait to return.

Yelp
This is an amazing campground for RV's, tents & they've got some cabins. The staff was most courteous & engaging. The restrooms, showers & camp store all are very clean and welcoming. We will definitely be staying again in the future. B & S Grafe

Yelp
Have I mentioned how much I love this place? Maybe. But I thought it was time to chime in once again and say to all those checking in on the Inn Town Campground. Its such a beautiful spot! And location, location, location!! Literally a mile walk into downtown Nevada City. So much to do there and then to wander back to my tent is always so great! We were JUST there this past weekend and had such a great time. The owners, Don and Erica are really on their game making sure their camp is a special place to visit, every time! My kids woke up Saturday morning and they couldn't wait to run up to the fantastic camp store to put their vote in for the night's outdoor movie. We cooled off in the pool while the kids sat and day dreamed about train rides across the country with the train museum within view. After the movie time to make our way to our super special glamping tent-o-rama!! Snuggly sheets gorgeous, thoughtful layout and an amazing, literally, handmade headboard! Apparently Erica's mom Evelyn made them herself - I mean, who does that!! All if that thought and care just lends itself to a peaceful night's sleep. Whether its a lux-ie glamping weekend or our snug tent, we just can't wait to get back to the Inn Town Campground again soon!!

Yelp
The lady I spoke to on the phone was pretty unfriendly about making a reservation. Not rude but I would say very unfriendly and cold. Very uncomfortable conversation. I think I'll just go elsewhere. In response to the owner: In regards to your researching me, Its bit weird, and making a backhanded comment regarding my reviews elsewhere I wouldn't consider very managerial on your part. I'm sure with this you think your proving I'm an unfair reviewer, however I think it goes to show how unprofessional you are to leave such a comment, not to mention it was very in accurate. I thought the owner would like to know what is steering people away from this campground. I would also like to comment, the other thing that drove us away from your place is that there's quite a few people that left comments stating that your park is fairly bigoted and a bit racist. So, besides the woman on the phone this was a bit of a deterrent as well. Lastly, to see your other very unprofessional comments back to people that are unhappy with something at your business, I think goes to show who you are as a business owner. Good luck with your business!

Yelp
Made a reservation for a glamping tent in May for late July. By that time, most of the glamping tents were reserved! Thankful they had one available! We arrived last Friday afternoon and it was hotttt. Our tent was ready to go by that time. It was super cute. The bed was comfy. There is a fan which saved us lol. We spent a lot of time on the deck which overlooked trees and the campground. I was even able to practice a little yoga. :) WiFi was a little spotty, but that's okay because we didn't really come to use that amenity! Parking is first come first serve. It must have been a busy weekend because all the spaces were taken by nighttime. Very kid friendly. Lots of activities for them. Pool available. Craft nights and movie night on Friday and Saturday. The drawback was that we couldn't really sleep in because kids wake up so freaking early lol. It's okay though because most of the days we had to get up early. They have communal fire pits that we used for s'mores. They also have private fire pits that you can rent. About a mile and a half from downtown and close to breweries and food. We decided not to cook, but we could have! They have two refrigerators in the commons and a kitchen for communal use. I love that they had an area for shared food. Great if you have lots of leftovers! Bathrooms and showers were so clean. There is a blow dryer in the bathroom that was near the glamping tents. The Yuba Bus has a shuttle pick up here to go to the South Yuba River. So convenient to use! We really enjoyed our time here and can't wait to bring our friends and family.

Yelp
Our first time here! It is ran by the nicest people! Everyone is so helpful and nice! The camp ground is beautiful! One of my many favorite things is your camp space is so far away from your neighbors. The bathrooms are very clean! Another bonus for me is they have laundry. It saved me from doing 2 days of laundry at home! Thank you for a great visit!

Yelp
We had such an amazing time here. Its super clean and so much to see and do with kids. Very laid back campground easy to check in and drive to your spot. We stayed in rv site 6 and it was a breeze to back in. We brought our 2 Grandchildren with us and they can not wait to go back. All ameneties, bathtooms, showers and bbq areas were very tidy which I love. You cant have a open fire unless its a propane fire pit. They rent them if you dont have one but we did so we were good to go. Its because of fire safety which I completely understand. Due to the fires there were a number of helicopters flying directly over head but the kids thought it was cool and I just chalked it up to being fire safe and again ok cool. They have a store that we did not have to visit so no comments on that. Your not to far from groceries down the road also. Over all I would absolutely stay here again.

Yelp
My husband and I love, love, love, Inn Town Campground! Our first camping experience in our new Motor Home was at Inn Town in Sept. 2020. Since we were newbies, we ended up having newbie (stupid) questions. Dan, Erin and Jenny were soooo helpful. No rolling their eyes, smirking, impatience or rudeness. The campground is clean, well maintained and beautiful. We have now stayed about 5 times, the last time being in November 2021 at the end of a 3 week trip up the Oregon Coast. We can't wait for our next visit in a couple of months.

Yelp
We had a fun stay at the Inn Town Campground recently. Stayed in Glamping Tent 13 which is dog friendly, so we brought our two dogs and it worked out great. My rules for travel are: is it clean? quiet? safe? This place ticked all my boxes. Very family friendly, has a pool, and they even show an outdoor movie at night for kids. We did not use the kitchen, but it looked very well equipped and it was very clean. The bathrooms are also super clean. They rent propane fire pits so you can toast marshmallows and have that camping feel (no wood burning fires allowed). The staff was super welcoming and helpful with local info. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
I really appreciated this campground's approach to safety and health. This was my first venture out since March 2020 and I wasn't sure what I would find. But this weekend was everything I hoped for. I got to breath in nature while also feeling safe. I follow their social media, so I knew the owners were mindful, but it's another thing to see safe practices in action both by staff and other campers. The Inn Town is both beautiful and it attracts a great camping community.

Yelp
I stayed with my four year old the first weekend in June on a Saturday evening and we had a simply delightful visit. We plan on bringing back little brother and dad later in the summer. Arrival is easy, staff kind and welcoming, site easy to find. There's a common area with a full kitchen, toddler and kid toys, comfortable sitting areas and dining spaces, and books/games. Bathrooms are immaculate in both the common space and campground. We didn't use the showers as we only stayed one night but I'd imagine they're just as clean. As far as activities go, you can't beat being right next door to the train museum, aka toddler heaven, and Saturday night movie. There are plenty of areas for cooking even without charcoal or open flame. I have a propane stove, so this was no problem. If you forget anything, the store has basically everything, including ice and alcohol and lighters. We spent a bit of time exploring historic downtown before the 3 pm check in and it's magical, too. It's not rustic, but it's not total glamping if you stay in a tent. I'd say it's a great experience meant for everyone ranging from those who love being outside to those who maybe it's their first time. We loved it and can't wait to come back soon! I'm

Yelp
We stayed the weekend of 9 April 2021. Site was great and easy walk to town. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Sites are well spaced and campground are rules enforced. The entire campground is well kept. Propane fire pits can be rented and wood burning is prohibited (great for those with smoke allergies/sensitivities).

Yelp
Nice well kept grounds. The people who run this campsite are the best - very helpful, friendly, and concerned that you are happy & informed. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
I want to echo all the great stuff everyone else has said about this campground. We arrived at night, there was an envelope with all the info - map, WiFi password, bathroom code (yay!). Our campsite was spotless (and we're Leave No Trace fanatics). Bathrooms were super clean and the showers are fantastic. The campground is wonderfully quiet. (Ok, there appears to be a kids summer camp nearby, but the PG-rated music was off by 10 p.m.) The staff is super friendly and they've got a little store for stuff. Great breakfast places nearby. What more could one ask for? Definitely coming back.

Yelp
Wow. This place is really fancy for camping. It's set up to spark fun with groups or socialize you at the little community events like a movie showing or community kitchen and while you are cooking dinner to meet new friends. The place is clean super well kept and feels brand new. Everyone that works here goes above and beyond to make it a comfortable and a nice stay. Just pack clothes! And food- if u want. But the grocery store and lots of other places in town are close by! definitely mommas type of camping! Sleeping in a real bed with sheets and blankets, and nice towels and fluffy pillows! I hope you enjoy your stay too. We will be back!

Yelp
We stayed here on a HOT weekend in July. Thank goodness for the pool and air conditioned commons building! We have two little ones (ages 2 and 4) and it is great place for camping with the family. It is clear that a lot of thought went into every detail of this campground. My favorite features: - huge family bathrooms with shower, sink, and toilet (all in one room) - swimming pool - movie nights (Fridays and Saturdays) - craft time (4pm on Saturdays) was led by Jordan, who was very friendly, engaging, and patient with the kids - great outdoor shower - it was always clean everywhere (including the bathrooms) - never had to wait in line for bathrooms or showers and showers were free (no quarters needed!) - friendly and helpful staff - fellow campers were friendly - next door to Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum (free train rides on Saturdays) Some of the RV spaces are a little on the small side, but they offer communal fire pits and the commons building, which helped us feel like we were not confined to our site.

Yelp
This is my most favorite place to camp. We actually camp here often ...no, really. We're not only in love with the sweet campground, but we are ALWAYS cared for by the owners and staff, with kindness and open arms. From the pool to the sparkling clean and beautiful bathrooms to the grounds, we are so lucky to have such a treasure to retreat to. This past week we were evacuated from our home from a local fire...the entire team at inn town made it their top priority to support our family until we were able to go back home. So much awesomeness!!! In fact, I just read the review on here from someone complaining about the smoke in the area (the fire we were evacuated from) and for some reason I'm not understanding how or why these guests fail to see that the air quality is in anyones control. I beg you to disregard their review...the campground was (as of today, when we checked out) open and lovely and ready for guests. It's a choice those guests made to stay home if the air quality doesn't match with perfection...it's not at all the campgrounds (or any business trying to stay in business these days) responsibility to accommodate others choices. As someone displaced from my home for a moment, I find that review to be disgusting, because our entire town was scrabbling to find a safe haven...and I would love to see the above reviewers donate their sites to evacuees, instead of complaining about the air quality that's ruining their weekend. Youre complaining about a resource the locals would be so grateful to have right now! Bigger problems in the world.

Yelp
Inn Town Campground is by far our family's favorite camping site. We have gone for the last seven years and can not wait to get back! We've been there with a few friends and family and we've also camped with groups of 25 families. The campground is immaculate and beautiful. We like to Glamp but we have been there with friends who prefer to tent camp or bring their RVs. They have their own swimming pool, kitchen, and Bathrooms for those that aren't necessarily in the mood to rough it. It is walking distance from Nevada City, an adorable gold mining town, that has great restaurants and bars if you don't feel like cooking every meal. Inn Town is also a 20 minute drive from the Yuba river, which is a great spot for swimming And gold panning with the kids. Dan and Erin are incredible hosts and they have done an amazing job making this place a truly wonderful camping spot. We already have our reservations for next year and cannot wait to get back there!
