Stayed February 10-14, 2025 - Initial Experience Review We arrived at the hotel around 3:00 AM, exhausted from traveling, and were given a room across the street. The moment we stepped inside, the room felt wrong—scary, mushy, and unsettling. It was dirty, dark, and damp. The white linens were discolored into yellowish-gray, which made the place feel unhygienic. Despite our fatigue, we were unable to rest that early morning. Fortunately, after raising our concerns, the hotel upgraded us to another area of the property, which was much better and more conducive for our family stay. We appreciated the resolution, but the initial experience left us shaken and uncomfortable.

Historical and a great experience if I can say. Stayed at one of the suite room where the first Indonesian president; Soekarno used to stay, the room is big, classic, and fancy, it feels like they are taking you way back to where it first build, which is in 1927! ||Other great leaders such as Queen Elizabeth, Mahatma Gandhi, even Charlie Chaplin ever stayed here, awesome! ||The staffs are friendly as well... ||Its a city hotel, next to a main road, enjoy!

This hotel is Bali's oldest, everything on the ground floor with a terrace and swimming pool, but everything also stops, almost everything does not work, almost no water and only at certain times, the bathroom is in a terrible condition, the refrigerator is leaking about 1 cm, through the rust and runs constantly, the TV works, the air conditioning works questionably and the bedding is a blanket wrapped in 2 sheets which is impossible to handle, the front door is leaking and can be easily opened with a push, the cupboards cannot be locked or closed due to defects, no safety box the noise from the hotel department on the other side of the road is reminiscent of an open disco but there are only the employees partying, haven't seen anyone else there in a week, the room is heavily influenced by bass speakers which makes it difficult to sleep, the only thing that is top notch is the staff, especially Yulia who has really been a great help to us at the hotel and who must be worth her weight in gold for this hotel, unfortunately the owner of the hotel is the government and it is a shame that they are not renovating this hotel which, among other things, has the house Charlie Chaplin and Queen Elizabeth of England, are sad to see it decay in this indifferent way, the pictures of the hotel are deceiving, it is rated 1 star with a downward arrow, will definitely not come back here.....

Sadly the pictures from the booking are not up to date. Luckily we only stayed 2 days, else we would have cancelled it. The bed was very spotty and I hope it was washed. The walls are moldy and weird stripes from dirt and water are everywhere. The bathroom was old too, that means that the shower curtain was half yellow from age and the Bathub was peeling off. The only positive thing I can say about the hotel is that the toilet was clean and the workers itself were nice and courteous. I just hope that not all rooms looked like that. I am sure that the rooms can be easily fixed. Just renovate the rooms and it can shine again and maybe then we can and will come back.

This is a good cheap hotel in the middle of denpasar It has lots of history and a lovely pool. Lots of bad reviews but we had a good one night stay. Was clean enough and quiet.

Abandoned nightmare hotel. It was beautiful hotel long time ago, the lobby still looks OK, But room is absolutely terrible with black mold and stained bed sheets. I couldn’t even bring myself to use the shower because the bathroom was so dirty. The staff were nice and welcoming, but it was hard to ignore how filthy the hotel looked.
