I stayed in a Deluxe Room with City View for eight nights at the end of November.|Pros:|*Extremely convenient location for tourists: Quick and easy walk to everything a tourist would likely need, including the key attractions, Syntagma Square with its public transport links to airport/Piraeus port, and the KTEL bus stop to Sounio – look for the sign post near the Eurobank on Filellinon Street.|*Friendly staff|*Diverse breakfast (the best offerings by far are the Greek options)|Considerations:|Really look at the room categories and the related reviews to choose your room. The hotel is located on a side street but is between two really busy main roads; my room faced the side street and was noisy at night. This wouldn't have been a problem normally but it was rather warm during my late November stay, and it would have been great to open the windows, but it was just too loud, even on a week day. Also, the bed was a bit lumpy and the pillows hard. I understand different room categories have different beds/locations, so guests should consider those factors when making a reservation. I should have asked to change rooms, but I didn't. Honestly, in a big/crowded/ancient city like Athens, these sorts of issues likely exist in most accommodation options, and none of them were dealbreakers for me.
