I really enjoyed the boat trip with Escapade Daily River Cruise. It was a wonderful experience. The staff shared interesting stories about the local environment throughout the ride. The boat has plenty of seating and even a bar serving food and drinks. I tried the fish and chips onboard; hot, fresh, and made from the daily catch, absolutely delicious! They also offered free tea and biscuits, which was a nice touch. The lower deck has tables and seats, while the upper deck has only seats, with strong, chilly winds (which I personally loved!). Overall, a relaxing and well-organized cruise ; definitely worth joining!

Google
Excellent seafood restaurant by the river with options for river cruise up and down the Clyde River. Popular place and cruise with tourists and locals. Whole river trip is about 3 hours and you get excellent fish, chips and salad served on board. The boat ride was calm and lots of birds can be sighted on route. You can choose to have lunch instead at the wharf instead of on the cruise. Good prices and service at restaurant and boat.

Among the many seafood restaurants in Batemans Bay, we chose Innes Boatshed — and we’re glad we did! The two of us ordered the Family Pack, which turned out to be way too much food (our own greed, not their fault!). It came with two long pieces of grenadier, six generously sized fish pieces, and a medium serve of chips. The fish was very fresh, with a light, crispy batter that wasn’t heavy at all. But I’d suggest not ordering too much — we had to take some home, and fried fish just never tastes as good once it’s cooled. We also ordered the prawn tray — the prawns were super fresh, and next time we’ll definitely go for the 1/2 kilo option! The place was clean, staff were friendly, and sitting by the river made for such a peaceful, relaxing meal.

Great Fish and Chips dinner at the Boatshed. Views at Batesman Bay were beautiful and the fish and chips were fresh, high quality and tasted delicious. Service was prompt and the price was of value, anything below $20 per pax for a meal seems to be decently price. Recommend this place if you pass by Batemans Bay during your road trip.

THE BEST FISH N CHIPS EVER!!! If you want the best fish n chips you can find anywhere in NSW,this is it!!! The batter and fish just melt in your mouth. The oil is very clean so the batter is just perfectly cooked. The chips are just as good. I promise you, you will not be disappointed after trying this place. We had a family pack with grenadier fish and chips, tomato sauce, tartare sauce, and drinks. Best I have ever tried!

Google
First time eating at the Boat Shed and unfortunately I was very disappointed. Although the presentation looked great - the fish lacked flavour and was way too oily that I couldn’t finish it all. The chips were average- not to the standard everyone had raved about (they weren’t crispy enough) and the one potato scallop I ordered, the potato was still raw !! I was the only one there as an early dinner for me (4:30pm on Friday night) and so I thought a little bit more love and care into making it and getting it perfect 👌 so I would be back again. Unfortunately won’t be back again 😔

Google
One of the nicest fish and chips, bar none! We sit and eat facing the sea, enjoying picturesque views. It is an unforgettable experience, and the meal is a highlight for our drive from Sydney to Melbourne. We would definitely want to revisit and relieve the wonderful experience!

The fish is fresh and the chips are crunchy. Great place to drop by for a bite.

Yelp
Location Beautiful place right next to the river. It gets nice and cool around dusk. Right next to promenade plaza, and a short walk from where we were staying at the Bateman's bay lodge First impressions Sooo busy! We drove by twice in the afternoon and there were huge lines both times. Its popularity attests to it's food quality! We returned at 7, where it was comparably a lot less busy. Still a small line, but worth it! Clean and bustling interiors, a few spots to sit on the grass outside (and 2 benches) Service Had to wait about 20 minutes for a large family pack, but it was definitely worth it. You could tell everything was freshly fried - it was piping hot. Service staff happily gave us 4 extra cups, and opened 3 of our beer bottles when we asked. Ambience Serene and picturesque if you're sitting inside. Rather more rowdier and busy indoors. Classic fish n' chip shop vibes. Food Delicious!!! Everything was great. Chicken salt fries were so delicious and crispy. If anything, there was a tad too much salt on the food in general (sorry! I had to find something to fault). The potato scallops were so good. And the calamari was nice and crispy too. The smaller fish was nicer than the big one - juicier. It wasn't by any means cheap, but it was worth it for a good meal.

Yelp
Delicious fish & chips! This is the place recommended to us by two different locals. The chips were great. We got a mix of fish, potato scallops, and calamari. The calamari was my favorite. Potato scallops were nothing special, but I would get the rest again.

Yelp
Honestly the best fish and chips in the world. Fresh, fast and golden. Would eat every day!

Yelp
The Albacore & Chips + Salad was absolutely bloody beautiful!! Fish so fresh & although, described as battered, was absolutely delicious. Would eat here again next time in B.B. Choice of al fresco on the deck (bit cool today!), inside or out on sunny street patio. Observed very satisfied locals, silver gypsies (like me) & o'seas visitor. Staff very efficient & friendly.

Yelp
Best fish and chips I've ever had in my life. For real. Chips were fresh and crispy. They batter and fry the fish right in front of you too so you know it's hot and fresh. We stopped in to get some lunch on our visit to the coast that day. We ordered and sat outside at some picnic spots along the water. We ordered the family pack and had a tonne of food. There was a few different types of fish and we got some calamari as well. Giant order of fries. There was 3 adults and a toddler and we could of fed another person with what we got.

Yelp
Fresh oysters followed by the fish of the day with chips and salad. The oysters were fresh and well priced. Fish and chips fried to perfection with excellent flavour. Only downside was that they do not serve alcohol so I wasn't able to sip a cold beer while enjoying the view. Full marks, will be back!

Yelp
Had Fish, Chips, Calamarie, Potato Scollops from here and they were Devine. Everything was freshly cooked, was tasty and made on the spot. It was a great feed. Downside was, they only do battered fish, they don't offer crumbed or grilled... Second Downside was the fact that there is a coach stop right out the front. I'm all for tourism's and visits, but the smell of the diesel petrol for 15 mins as the coach was idil before the oldies got on was a shame. The sound and the smell and no grilled or crumbed is what knocked this down. Otherwise outstanding

Yelp
It had been years since I've eaten here, and thank foodness that Yelp now exsists so i can tell other people about this good place! Just to illustrate how desperate I was to eat here, so, my friends were wandering around, looking for a place for dinner. They had already had lunch here and given I had driven into town late, I missed out. So while they were still looking at the menu, I snuck off, ducked into Innes Boatshed and ate a piece of fish! The piece of cod was fried just right, and obviously fresh, and was delicious. Nothing needed for seasoning - just the fish... was perfect. The next day, on my way out of town... Innes Boatshed again! Two pieces of fish, honestly I can't remember what they were anymore, but my memory was that they were very tasty with lemon. Definitely the highlight of Batemans Bay!

Yelp
Please use fresher and hotter oil - the fish batter was oily and soggy and frankly unappetising.

Yelp
If you want fish and chips this is the place. As fresh as it gets, I was once woken up in my nearby hotel by their boat coming back in before dawn! Yeah, they have a boat right out the back called the Suzie J. So you know you'll be looked after come lunchtime. Get the grenadier with chips, or my favourite, two grenadier with a few potato scallops instead. The fish is the best you'll have maybe outside of catching it yourself, the batter is fantastic, and chips are great (but eat them quickly!) and the potato scallops are well worth it. They serve salad too which is fine, but you're here for fish and chips. Eyes on the prize. Gets the coveted 5th star for not just having great food, but for knowing what they're about and doing it as well as you could ever ask for. From ocean to newspaper this shop and its staff breathe fish and chips, and it shows. Takes cash only, so raid the ATM 100m up Orient St. And get salt and lemon.

Yelp
Excellent fish and chips. Calamari is awesome. The customer service is fantastic! Even on a busy Easter long weekend the service was very quick.

Yelp
The best fish and chips I have ever had. Fantastic! the fish was fresh and only battered once we chose a peice from the fresh fish displayed. The batter was light and crisp, the fish beautifuly moist. The chips were fanstic too, they were thinner than most hot chips, crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Out the back there is a deck to overlooking the water, or tables on the grass outside. Its on the bike path so we were able to ride into town.

Yelp
This is one of my favourite places to go for lunch. They always have friendly service and really nice. It's on the waterfront and it is relaxing to sit on the deck and enjoy fish and chips while looking out over the river. The menu is limited but the food available is always cooked to perfection.
