Innside by Melia, Near Old Town, Prague, Czech Republic - Explore & Book

"Dashing through the doors of this grand Baroque building to escape a sudden flurry of snow, we’re greeted by supremely elegant design: soft grey walls, low-hanging Edison bulbs, industrial glass pendant lamps, plush sofas. We’ve been exploring Prague’s UNESCO-listed Old Town, just a 10-minute stroll away – climbing towers, meandering along cobbled streets and sipping mulled wine. But as the day draws to a close, we’re glad to retreat from the hustle and bustle to the unpretentious luxury of INNSIDE by Melia – a hotel group we wouldn't normally feature on i-escape, but we just love the quirkiness of this chic hotel. We shake the snowflakes from our coats, head up to our room and fill our huge bathtub with steaming water… bliss! Spread across the original 18th-century wing and a pair of 21st-century additions, the 90 carefully crafted rooms and suites blend vibrant colours with a feel of soporific serenity. The modern décor is complemented by original artworks from Spanish artist Quim Domene, which showcase iconic landmarks such as Charles Bridge, the Astronomical Clock and Prague Castle (all within walking distance). Despite the hotel’s size, the ambiance is intimate and laid-back: there’s a cosy lobby with smiling staff, a restaurant-cum-bar where you can sink into an armchair with a glass of wine or Czech beer, and an alluring sun terrace for those who encounter better weather than we did. All in all, it’s hard to beat for easy breaks in this diverse and historic city. Highs The location, on a quiet street near the Old Town, means you’re close to the action but not in the middle of it We loved the relaxed, art-gallery feel A range of rooms and 1- or 2-bedroom suites to suit couples, families and friends alike Super-comfortable beds meant we slept like babies, and most ensuites have tubs for post-sightseeing dips – unusual in city hotels Staff are attentive and friendly without being overly fussy – a hard balance to strike Lows We haven't visited the hotel since Melia took the reins, but feedback remains excellent It's bigger than most i-escape hotels, though quirky design touches mean it feels far from faceless The restaurant is still evolving and currently offers a limited menu, but the European fusion food is tasty enough Bedrooms have lots of cupboards but very limited wardrobe space – there was little room for clothes after we’d hung our coats Room sizes vary slightly within each category" - Emily McDonnell

Our 4-night stay at INNSiDE Prague by Melia was simply perfect! We were traveling as a family of three and were lucky enough to use a birthday voucher for a complimentary room upgrade, which gave us the opportunity to stay in a spacious and stylish Loft Room.||The hotel’s location is excellent – ideal for exploring Prague’s beautiful sights on foot. The breakfast was tasty and varied, and the room itself was fantastic. We especially appreciated the great shower and the extremely comfortable bed, both of which made our stay even more enjoyable.||The only downside (and this seems to be the case in most hotels) was the extra bed/sofa bed – it wasn’t very comfortable. But that was a minor issue in an otherwise flawless experience.||The complimentary minibar was also a lovely touch and much appreciated!||I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Prague. 😊

First impressions count and none comes better than the charming smiling Alice and her colleague at reception! How refreshing to be greeted by Alice on arrival and with such sincerity too! Truly excellent! At checkout early in the morning, the lady manning the desk also kindly called a cab for me which arrived promptly in two minutes.|Breakfast was terrific. You can get an omelette cooked to order if you tired of scrambled eggs. Great coffee, breads, hams, sausages, fruits, juices, different types of milk including soy etc. so much variety. |One negative was that in the renovations the room doors, while more stylish, are not as sound proofed. I can hear people talking as they walk past in the corridor. Luckily this was not late at night. Also, the cupboard and storage unit in the room is too big, making the room seem smaller. Too many storage spaces that are not needed. But these things did not affect what was a very comfortable and pleasant stay in a location near to the centre.|Excellent!

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The hotel is in general very clean and quiet and it is very well located. The Astronomical clock and Charles Bridge are not that far from the hotel. The 20 minutes walk is actually very pleasant. ||Breakfast is open until 11am and it is quite complete. By request they provide also gluten free bread and plant based milk. All employees are speaking very well English. Even empty boxes are provided by request in case you wish to eat your breakfast in the room.||At the reception Klara was always there for us and helping us with all the requests we had. We found her being very competent and professional. She has a very sharp mind and she is very knowledgeable about her job. ||We will definitely choose the same hotel for our next visit in Prague and we will highly recommend it further. |

I highly enjoyed by stay at Innside and would recommend it for everything. ||The room was extremely comfortable and generous in side. The bathroom was well designed with very good water pressure (something not every hotel has). The wifi was fast out entire stay. The hotel's breakfast was excellent and fresh. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm smile from the hotel staff and that stayed the entire time. ||The location is also excellent, with lots of great restaurants and shops in walking distance. It's a short walk to the tram station as well as a 15min walk to the Astrological Clock. ||Overall, I would stay here again without hesitation.

What can I say this was our second visit to this hotel and this hotel deserves a 5star. From the moment I booked the hotel and emailed the hotel to confirm booking I got a very quick reply from Klara in the reception confirming our booking. Our flight to Prague from Heathrow was cancelled which meant we didn’t not arrive at the hotel until the following day. I contacted the hotel to say that our arrival would be delayed and would not arrive until the following day once again spoke to Klara who once again said that our booking was safe and would look forward to seeing us the following day. Arrived the following day to a very quick check in, once again with Klara and another guy on reception. Every thing to do with our stay in the hotel went so smoothly, breakfast was how we remembered it from the year before everything freshly made and everything you could think of, nobody should have any complains about the quality, choice of products available and the Prague ham is a must. The bar area is lovely and relaxing place to sit with a drink and a snack after a busy day sightseeing and Jan the bar tender was very helpful and knowledgeable and advised how best to travel to the Bruce Springsteen concert which we were very grafeful for and that also went very well as we were a bit dubious about taking the subway. All in all I will be highly recommending the Innside melia Prague old town to friends and relatives when they visit Prague. It’s walking distance to all the touristy areas but once inside the hotel its a relaxing tranquil gem. 10/10 xx Looking forward to our next stay in the future 😘

It's a second time in this hotel. The last time was 10 years ago. It's amazing that the quality of the rooms, breakfast, and service remain the same. We loved our stay in this hotel very much. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The staff was amazing. The location is in the quiet area of the old town, minus from all other attractions of the city. Lot of great restaurants nearby hotel.

Absolutely splendid place to stay. Really well situated for exploring/catching tram. |The rooms have lots of storage & everything you need after sightseeing. Lovely comfy bed, and best of all, a bath!!|Nice bar & food in the evening if you want it. Also the outside courtyard is welcoming too. |Honza (John in the bar) was absolutely amazing, he went above and beyond. He helped identify areas to visit on our map, some that we wouldn’t have seen if he hadn’t pointed out. Thank you. |Alice at reception was also greatly helpful, she gave us hints and tips as to modes of transport best to suit our destinations. |In fact all members of staff were lovely, they couldn’t have done more for us. |We would highly recommend this hotel.

Great location and amazing service. The hotel is at a nice location, very close to the old town, tourist places but yet quiet street with not much hustle and bustle. Loved the staff and breakfast is really the highlight (as written in the restaurant there😊). Food and drinks were amazing during dinner. The staff makes you feel special. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Wonderful hotel, clean, modern-looking, good breakfast, and great staff! Location is awesome, pretty close to the old town square but definitely away from the mob of tourists that makes me feel overwhelmed. When we come back to Prague, we will definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Wonderful, great location, super staff hotel. Also parking for us made it easy as well. Clean, modern rooms, great breakfasts also. Staff was so helpful and made our stay as great as it gets. Made arrangements for our side trips as well. Location just 10 minutes walking to the main square and to the areas we were particularly interested in in the Old section, the Jewish Section. We will be staying here again when we return. The Innside Prague Old Town by Melia hotel has become our favorite and only place we want to stay when we return. Thank you..
