We stayed at InPatio on my brother’s recommendation and were so happy to have known about it. Check in communication was great. We were greeted on arrival and helped with our luggage (no elevator but a luggage lift and help from owners / staff). It is a cute place, tucked away in a courtyard. Only a few rooms so an intimate feeling. ||Olga and Fernando were great hosts. The room was spacious, with a very comfortable bed, and very clean. The breakfasts were a highlight and different each day - fresh fruits, local cheeses and jams / honey, yogurt with curated toppings, good coffee, fresh juice - all selected and described with care by Olga. Fresh baked croissants also. ||The location is excellent - quiet but so close to the river and many restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend it. (There was construction going on next door, but we weren’t in the room during the daytime so it didn’t bother us.)

We had such a great experience here! The location can’t be beat, the room was lovely, and the breakfast was delicious! Not only were the homemade croissants yummy, Olga took care to feature meats, cheeses, and jams from around Portugal, which was a special touch. What makes Olga and Fernando made us feel very welcome and clearly take pride in being hosts, not just absent owners. It was what BnBs used to be like, and it was so refreshing! Thank you, Olga and Fernando, for your hospitality!

This was one of the best guest houses we have ever stayed in, and Olga and Fernando are the best hosts we have encountered during our travels.||The guest house is superb. Everything is spotless. All amenities you would expect and the little extras that make such a difference, such as biscuits and port.||The rooms are beautifully decorated, both the standard and superior rooms - but I wouldn't hesitate to book the superior rooms as they are just exquisite.||Breakfast is a feast to last you the whole day, which Olga describes with so much enthusiasm and explains where the meats and cheeses come from etc.||Everyone is so helpful and friendly, offering advice on trips or public transport, or anything you may ask.||You also have access to the breakfast room at all times, so It's also good to have somewhere you can go to eat a snack in the afternoon/evening should you wish. Fruit and water is always on offer as well.||All in all, we would highly recommend this. Book early as they are always busy.||We cannot wait to go back!||Hugh thank you to Olga, Fernando and Junior (and the lovely smiley lady who cleaned the rooms, sorry I don't know your name).||Best wishes to you all from Chris & Mike.

The guest house is conveniently located near the river and bridge and not far from the train station.. it is in a private patio so off the busier streets. The room was nice though small, and very comfortable. Breakfast is ample and tasty.|Most important, the hosts are delightful, friendly and very helpful. I had problems booking something and they were able to make my reservation. We highly recommend staying here!

Chose this place based on the reviews, which were spot on. Excellent location—walkable to riverwalk, most attractions, Hop-On Hop-Off, and Sao Bento train station. Tour office next door for sightseeing tickets. Beautiful space. Comfortable rooms. Olga and Fernando were great hosts, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was unforgettable! Fresh fruit, yogurt (didn’t like yogurt before), bread, chorizo and cheese plate, eggs, freshly squeezed OJ, coffee. Highly recommend. ||Tips: |- Reception is thru 19:00. Make arrangements in advance if arriving later. Fernando responded quickly via text and WhatsApp. |- Meet Uber pickups across the street where is space for a car to standby.

Our stay at In Patio Guest House in Porto was one of the highlights of our 2 weeks in Portugal. Fernando and Olga were wonderful. They communicated with us regularly, making sure that we were well informed about the location and check-in. We were met at the property by Junior, who showed us our room, toured us around the Guest House, and helped us find a place to park our rental car. In Patio is located in a charming courtyard in the heart of the Rebeira, and everything you might want to see in the old city is easily walkable. The rooms are beautiful - spacious, clean, and charmingly unique. Olga's breakfasts are outstanding! Freshly squeezed orange juice, seasonal fruits, fresh breads, yogurts, and local cheeses - all beautifully presented. We would return to In Patio Guest house in a heartbeat if we were to travel back to Porto. Fernando and Olga were the most wonderful hosts, who take great pride in their guest house - with good reason!

This is a wonderful small, comfortable, quiet place to stay, in a perfect location. Maybe five or six rooms--I'm not quite sure--on a quiet courtyard off the main street, by the Ribeira, close to the river and many restaurants. Our room was spotless, comfortable; it charmingly integrated the stone of the building but had all the mod cons. Breakfast was delicious, with various Porto area and other Portuguese delicacies, and different each day. The patrons, Fernando and Olga (who prepared the breakfasts) were warm and helpful, generous with advice but never intrusive. I unreservedly recommend this place.

This is a hidden gem and we absolutely loved it! The rooms are compact but very comfortable! The included breakfasts in the cellar are outstanding. The owners take such pride in this place and they are kind and gracious and ready to help. The building is amazing - centuries old but with all the amenities and modern touches. Air conditioning was super.
