Insel Fehmarn Hotel

I have stayed at the Insel Fehmarn hotel many times since 2000. A good, reliable hotel. Not flash, but secure and comfortable. Breakfast is included. Nice to have the pool. Close to town. Good security and has no issues like some hotels in Apia. Great pizza place over the road and wo grocery shops are easy walking distance away. I recommend it.

I stayed here a whole month. The Team were super accommodating and helpful with everything my partner and I needed. Roughly 5mins drive from town area, around the corner from the main hospital. 5mins drive up to Robert Louise Stevenson museum and track and another 5mins drive Mynas supermarket 👌 I will definitely be coming back to Insel on my next trip to Samoa, affordable and great hotel. Service was great but the hotel requires huge makeover. Bathrooms & rooms are outdated. It’s good for night stay but won’t recommend for longer stay. Breakfast’s ok but each to its own😀Positive note, reservation was smooth.

The customer service at Insel was the best we experienced our whole time in Samoa. The buffet breakfast was yummy with a good selection of hot & cold foods. We stayed in the Superior room on the 2nd floor, the beds were comfy, our room was clean, plus the air con & fan work brilliantly which was bliss. The pool is lovely for cooling off in the heat. Overall the place is a bit dated so doesn't look much from the road but they keep it clean & tidy, the laundry was so useful & the gift shop very reasonably priced! |The location was great for food stores nearby, Giordano's over the road is the place to go for lunch & dinner, plus there's a massage place 2 doors down which is handy. |Highly recommend for value for money

I've heard a lot of mixed reviews with customer service in Samoa and let me tell you, the service that Insel Fehmarn has provided for me and my parents was by far the best that I've experienced overall in general. From our arrival to our check-in, to our daily breakfast and assisting with everyday need, Patricia and her staff are the best we could ever ask for any hotel need. I am very impressed with the best customer service ever. Thank you Patricia and Insel staff.

Hi I had a very positive experience at this hotel, the staff are very friendly and the lady in charge at reception can help you with any questions you may have, she is very helpful. I think it is good value for money considering how close you are to town, you can get a taxi in no time. We had no issues during our stay, rented 2 rooms for a week and also use the hotel transfer to get us to the airport at the end of our trip. I definitely recommend it.

I regret booking here, there are cheaper hotels that are better in the area. The staff are lovely, but the cleaning is horrible. When I checked in there was alcohol can and conditioner on the table next to me bed, used bars of soap and dirty glass. Tired at 3am I just slept and the next day I listed everything that had to be done in my room. The lovely staff did follow through but they were inconsistent. ||Some days they wouldn't put conditioner, one day the glass was dirty, and one day they didn't refill coffee sachets. There's no sugar or tea in the room. ||On checkout they tried to charge me for a wifi which I never asked for or used, I told them to rewind the cctv, I have my mobile data I did not need the wifi. Anyways they didn't charge me for it after some resistance from my side. ||I don't think I'll ever stay here or recommend this place to anyone. ||Outrigger Samoa is much better I've been told.

Not able to put NO star rate, but it was not a great experience. We stayed for one night only, the pay for one night was not worth it. When we first got into our room, the mini fridge wasn't cleaned out, the toilet was clogging up. They moved us to another room but had the same situation with the toilet, Went to the pool to swim but the water had way too much chlorine and the pool was the dirtiest pool I've ever seen. One of the workers tried to rip me off by saying the swimming fee is 20 tala per kid to swim since our niece and nephews weren't staying with us but when my other half went to the front desk to ask about the fee the lady said it was only 5 tala. We then went into the laundry room and (the machines require token which they give to you) I didn't realize the other washing machine was broken even the ladies who work in the laundry room saw that it was broken but didnt advise me about it, and they were not going to refund me the 2 tokens (which also cost) until my other half came AGAIN to talk with the front desk. Some of the workers are really nice but the hotel isn't so great.
