Insomnia Cookies

Is this an acceptable $17 pint of ice cream? Whenever I walk-in and buy a pint, it’s packed to the brim (as it should be). But this is what I got when I ordered from Seamless, so a $22 (w/ tip) pint that’s half? full. Great ice cream but poor professionalism

Jay took our order and was wonderful! The rest of the staff was also so kind, considerate and helpful in our ordering. We got our order quickly and had a great experience!

Every Insomnia Cookies location is a shitshow. All of the employees seem miserable and there is 0 customer service when you go in. This location is no exception. They are lucky the cookies are good or I would never patronize this business again. I placed an order at 7PM through their own website!!! 8:05PM and the order has not arrived. I called the store twice about my order. They said they sent it out via Uber Eats. The Insomnia website tracker mentions nothing about Uber Eats and also says my order was delivered, so it is inaccurate. When I called the second time, the first person told me I had to call Uber Eats about the order. Why would I contact Uber Eats when I didn't place the order through them and it was Insomnia's choice to use Uber Eats for delivery? I argued about this because it's not accurate. Then, a second person got on the phone and said they are sending my order out again. Who knows if it will even show up. They have a nerve charging a $3.99 delivery fee for this bullshit.

Insomnia Cookies are my second favorite cookies. This location is a must drop in when I'm in this neighborhood. I like the chocolate chip and M&M but I'll take whatever they offer that day. Customer service isn't anything to brag about. It's in and out so I'm not gonna be interacting with them for long. If you haven't tried their cookies do it!

I visited this establishment a few days ago. I love Insomnia cookies. I ordered a 6 pack of cookies. Every cookie was well prepared and tasted delicious. The customer service was quick. The cashier was nice. The store was very quiet as I was the only person there. I enjoyed my cookies and I'll be back soon.

In general, Insomnia Cookies is a great next-door-to-college-campus chain cookie store with warm, buttery cookies in a variety of flavors, and I've had good cookies a few times here before and not a bad experience until now because their customer service is horrendous. I docked multiple stars at this location near Columbia for their unprofessional service. A staff member was condescending when she refused to serve me the ongoing nation-wide Insomnia Cookies Halloween promotion, making up a rule that my "costume wasn't full-body". I don't really care so much about the fake rule (for the record, people loved my costume and makeup), but I am shocked at the way she was EXTREMELY rude, dismissive, and condescending to me as soon as I walked in to ask about the promotion, laughing at me and mockingly said "come back when you have a costume!". The lack of respect regarding this whole situation left me disgusted--and all over a single cookie! I cannot recommend this location in good faith unless there's a change in staffing or attitude.

My guilty pleasure... love the peanut butter with chocolate cookie. The sprinkles one is good too. They are insanely sweet but I don't care. They hit the spot and thats all that matters.

I've tried their cookies before and it's so good especially because they warm it up for you! Today I tried the brownie with ice cream and it came with 2 scoops of ice cream!!! The only downside was the brownie was not warmed up so it wasn't as good with the cold ice cream. The dream weaver ice cream flavor was interesting and not too good since my friend and I couldn't tell what we were tasting. But the employees were really nice which is not typically what you from chain stores like this! Overall, pretty good place for some late night cravings!

I'm not really one to leave reviews on large chains, but this one location really stands out to me. I always have the most pleasant interactions with the staff here. No matter who's working, day or night, I always walk out of the store with a warm cookie (or two) in my hand and a smile on my face. Thanks insomnia :)

There was an unfortunate mishap with my order but once I spoke to manager May she was very apologetic and worked hard to get my issue resolved! Always loved insomnia cookies but absolutely a number one fan of both Insomnia and of this location!!!! Shout out to manager May again!!

Popped in between classes and the deluxe cookies were hot and fresh straight out of the oven. They cool down pretty quickly though so be sure to eat them immediately or they'll harden up. As for the classic cookies (not pictured) they never seem to be hot out the oven (no matter what location you go to--save for 125th). Not sure why that is. Maybe because they're not as pricey as the deluxe ones or because they're free for cookiemagic members. Either way, if it's free it's for me. No complaints here. Glad this location has the mint chocolate cookie as others seem to have it sold out quite often. The employee who helped me was really patient with my questions about my cookiemagic membership and got my cookies boxed up ASAP. Might come back tomorrow for my next cookie before my membership expires lol.

Stopped here as I was craving cookies and typically enjoy insomnia cookies but didn't have a good outing here. Service: gym at the cashier was not friendly and actually ignored me fore the first 5 mins aa he did other things. Then I asked for one of the advertised Valentines day cookies the strawberry chocolate cookie he said they don't have any of those. So I ordered 2 other cookies. The cookies were ok. Overall experience was not what I experienced at other locations.

A little cookie shop from a big brand in the upper West side. The service is quick and easy, in an out. Cookies are served hot and stay in the oven/warmer until you order. I'm a healthcare worker and came to nab some of those free cookies. The cashier guy was very generous with the cookies and I deeply appreciated that. I really appreciate that insomnia cookies did that offer for the month of December. Definitely makes me respect the business more and makes me want to come back more often. Also, my favorite cookie was the cinnamon whiskey, I don't know why that cookie wasn't that popular. It was so different and such a crazy combination of flavors.

I've been eating Insomnia Cookies since I was in college at NYU, as it was founded by a few local alumni. Never found them to be particularly remarkable, however someone bringing cookies to an event with a bunch of broke college students is not going to go over particularly bad. Also the 'broke part' probably informed some of that opinion. Fast forward 10 years, and now on the UWS I live by their Columbia location. Things have come along, as it's a larger and nicer store. Prices are still on the high side for what you're getting, however at the end of the day are you really going to kill yourself over a $2.50 cookie? My favorites are the white chocolate macadamia nut, the double chocolate chip, and the chocolate chip in that order. It's great when they're fresh out of the oven, but the heating thing they keep them in does a good job. At worst that's what microwaves are for. If I'm going to grab takeout and want dessert, I tend to stop here to secretly grab shit. Definitely not worth traveling for, yet suffice to say I value this place a lot more than I used to.

Nice location part of franchise chain. Serves cookies and cream cream. Recommend ice cream's sandwiches. Nothing like fresh cookies with ice cream in middle.

The staff here is super sweet and helpful! I always pick up the vegan Chocolate Chip and they are FIRE! You can def get the vegan ones and people wouldn't even know the difference!!

the service is amazing!! usually other late night stores staff have attitude but this store's staff was incredible and friendly!! Gilberto helped my friends and i out while we were there! the vibe in the store was upbeat despite it being 2 am! and of course the cookies are delicious!! oatmeal raisin definitely is the best but you!!

I placed an order on my phone for 6 cookies and came to pick it up. When I got there I saw the ice cream and was hoping to test a few flavors out since I intended to buy a pint, but they understandably weren't giving out samples due to their covid policy. The music was RIDICULOUSLY loud I could not even hear the woman behind the counter over it. I asked for a pint of chocolate ice cream which she proceeded to scoop without gloves on, despite the fact that her coworker standing right next to her was wearing gloves. I honestly lost my appetite for the ice cream after seeing that and the customer service was really abrasive and cold. Definitely not a welcoming or pleasant experience in the store, but the cookies were melty and good. The 3 stars are for the cookies, knocked 1 star off for the rude service and ridiculous volume in the store and another star off for no gloves (an absolute turn off, especially during their "covid policy"). Haven't tried the ice cream yet, not entirely sure I would return or recommend this location.

I love insomnia cookies! This location is about 2 blocks from my job so I like coming here during my break. I love that they sell milk and that the cookies are always warm. My favorites are the white chocolate macadamia, snickerdoodle and oatmeal raisin. The "witches" aka cookie sandwiches are good, but I prefer the cookies a la mode because you can add more toppings to the scoop(s) of ice cream. Service could be better, every time I come in the cashiers look so unhappy. Other than that its a pretty good location. There's a park right across the street which makes for a cute little date when the weather is nice. They're also open late and do deliveries if you're ever around the area but are too lazy to come in.

I always come here but I never leave a review. I must say yesterday I wen to purchase two cookies and the lady who was assisting us was very nice. As she was serving the cookie it touched the counter and she gave me a new cookie. Now I did not have to ask and she did not know I noticed but this to me is amazing. I do not like it when my food touches open spaces or my food is touched without gloves etc. The employee who was assisting me was great. So it was a relief when the employee threw the cookie, away and gave me a new one. My cookie was delicious soft and warm.

Great for late night munchies. The cookies are great but the cookie with a scoop is perfect for your sweet tooth. My personal favorite is the chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream on the side and cookie dough.

Surprise this place had 3 stars. Everyone in my family loves these cookies. Might be a bit pricey but worth it.

Now you know I can never turn down a soft, supple and sweet sugar cookie. Insomnia happens to serve up some of my favorite sugar and snickerdoodle cookies. You can expect your cookies to be delivered hot and ready to enjoy. The best part is; they dont serve up those crumbly type of cookies that just make you angry on the inside, their cookies are always fresh. Only qualm is that sometimes they can take forever to arrive if you order delivery. There have been 2 occasions where I order a box to be delivered within the hour and it takes 2+ hours to get to my door. Nonetheless, insomnia cookies are always worth the wait in my opinion.

I may have stumbled into this place a couple of times after "happy houring" at a nearby bar. I gotta say that the service here is top-notch, and I have not had any issues. Actually, the staff here (the folks working around 9pm) is quite chill and fun at the same time. Keep in mind that I've only done takeout at this location and cannot speak about delivery. Also, unlike my neighborhood Insomnia, this location has at least five different flavors of ice cream. What diet? ‍

This one was so clean and the employees were extremely nice and patient. Would definitely come back here. The sugar cookies are phenomenal!!!!!!! I can't wait to go back and get more cookies

Love Insomina cookies! They are soft and fresh! They deliver as well! They are open late till 3am! Every time I'm in New York I always get some. Macademia cookie, & chocolate chip is my favorite!

The first, and I'd argue the most important part of this story is that me & my homey walked over two miles after having a sudden craving for these tasty treats. Yes, we both have problems. I have never visited this location but it was consistent with the others I have been to. However, as a precaution, I asked the young man who was at the counter if the cookies come out hot. He said "of course" and I seriously think I offended him by asking such an insulting question. Not gonna lie, I respect tf out that exchange. Got the deluxe peanut butter cup because it's the biggest one and as advertised, it was presented hot and gooey. All that was missing was a plush pillow and a soft, weighted blanket and it would've been nap time up in that B.

I'm glad i came despite the mix reviews. I really wanted to know what the hype was about. Employee Jared was working and gave up a cool spooky intro lol, i ordered 3 cookies and a brownie. Service was very quick up the point cookies were warm and so was the brownie. The cookies were good nothing to really crave but the brownie thoooooo omg unbelievable now that brownie was the best . I would definitely go back any time at night just for the brownie very moist melt in my mouth full with chocolate omg delicious forealllll . order it!!!! And the reason why i gave 4 stars is because the stores ambiance was trash i really thought the store would look like a cozy place to lounge and eat warm cookies but it wasn't just a boring space with good treats overall come try it out! Oh also another reason 4 stars because i don't feel like those cookies should cost that much but the brownie

Love this place. I've been coming here for their amazing chocolate chip cookies for so long. They're so delicious and chocolate-y. They're much smaller than they used to be. But they're still incredibly yummy. I'll definitely be back for more.

My friend took me here for an after dinner treat, yummy ! I enjoyed the chocolate mint, peanut butter chip, snickerdoodle and macadamia white chocolate! Too hard to pick a favorite they were all delicious! Pricey but a nice treat worth trying that definitely hit the sweet spot. Will surely return and try some other varieties. Friendly patient service as well as it took me time to decide what I wanted to try...lol

Second time this location has need up an order but I gave them another chance. This time we purchased 8 cookies and received only 3. Neither store nor head quarters was not willing to speak, listen or assist with the order due to being ordered on Uber Eats. Uber Eats is currently not taking any phone calls. Therefore there is no customer service from each end to assist. You will be temper to buy these cookies over the internet but you're better off going to the store yourself to making sure they do not mess up your order. Check you box and bag before you leave.

So I've been going to The Insomnia Cookie Locations for years and Mari........ugh definitely should not be working there. Her attitude is very nasty if she doesn't want to work then she shouldn't be there. The business should do a better job at making sure that are only hiring friendly people.

The cookies are average and a normal size. It's nothing spectacular or out of the ordinary. They are tasty though and they are served warm... who doesn't love a warm cookie?! The man at the front counter was very friendly and attentive. We went there because the had a bogo offer for teachers appreciation, which was very very nice for them to do. If you're in the area and have a cookie craving, give them a try!

Family, friends and I went to Insomnia Cookies to satisfy a late night cravings for some sweet treats. I was disappointed that the kind of cookie I wanted wasn't there, and since it was so late I had no chance of a new batch being offered, so I settled on another type. Overall the cookie was moist and tasted like an oatmeal raisin cookie should. It was a decent size and was fresh. I not going to say that I would go out of my way to eat from here, however if I am in the neighborhood then maybe.

Just came back from the Morningside location without any cookies. It was 10pm. We were told to order online right outside the entrance. We weren't allowed in. Then the online order said it would be ready in 30 minutes. No option also to pay with PayPal or Venmo so would have had to enter credit card info. Anyway it just wasn't worth the trouble.

After many years of seeing this place around the city I got a chance to finally try it . I bought the box of six which came up to about 12 dollars 2 sugar , 1 oatmeal raisin , 1 double chocolate chunk 2 chocolate chip the cookies came in a box warmed up they were sooo soft and moist and tasty I Can't wait to try different flavors I will be back .

Usually love visiting Insomnia Cookies location but the staff at this location need better customer service. We went in around noon and the cashier before we opened our mouths said "We are busy and only have a few option available because we are doing our catering orders". Rude! We got what was available and left. She never said anything else and looked like we are bothering her. Will never visit them again.

Stopped in last night (4.22.16) to get my favorite cookies- the Double Chocolate Mint. Whenever I'm uptown (I live in Queens) I make sure to stop at this location. It's one of my favorites because the store is much bigger than the other Insomnia Cookies stores I've been to. And most importantly the cookies are ALWAYS soft, warm and fresh. I seem to get hard cookies at the other locations and have to ask them to make a fresh batch. Maybe it's luck..I don't know...but so far this location rocks! The employees are always courteous, and that's a huge plus.

Okay, I love Insomnia Cookies. I mean, I love them. They're delicious. They're hot and gooey and nearly orgasmic (leave me alone - I'm a 30's gay guy that doesn't get out much). The ice cream is delish. The guys that work there are awesome, and while the store may be sold out of your favorite cookie, their smiles make up for the difference...even at 2:15 am. Note to the manager of this location: Your staff are really the best. Possibly better than a Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Deluxe Cookiewich with chocolate ice cream.

Thank God their open till 3 am. My honey got out of work at 1am and yes I was craving cookies. I've heard on social media people rave about them. It's not out of this world good. But they satisfied my craving which is a plus.

I don't know what's going on with their online ordering system but the orders never seem to go through and the employees at this location are incredibly unhelpful.

Staff is unfriendly. They always have the look of just give me your money, what do you want, ok, goodbye. There cookies are just your standard chocolate chip cookies I'm not sure why people "rave" about them, there ice cream is just your standard ice cream kind of like Bryers icecream meets Edys. They have a large selection of cookies to choose from the only problem is they aren't exceptional. Not worth going out of your way, if you have to settle, go for the chocolate chip. In the neighborhood there aren't many places to go for "cookies/brownies" or desert that late in the night. If you are hungry for something sweet and its really late at night and you want that brownie minus the gooeeeyyyy soft brownie experience than head over to insomnia. They are open to 3am and do deliver. In conclusion slightly sub-standard brownie and chocolate chip cookies. Nothing special.

Favorite place! My friends and I go after Yankee games in the Bronx. We go right over the bridge, and from there it's only 2 miles away, so it's convenient & a great late night snack. This is a "no frills" cookie shop. Nothing fancy. They serve cookies, milk, & ice cream. The cookies are OUT OF THIS WORLD! They are so incredibly delicious. Warm & gooey. You must go! There are several locations in NYC, but this is the only one I've tried. Inside is small and dark, but there is seating.

ONLINE ORDERING BEWARE! I had such a horrible experience with this company for delivery. I was ordering from Atlanta for my friend in NYC. Warm, Fresh Cookies delivered today? Perfect for my friend who was having a seriously bad week. $10 Delivery wasn't great considering the distance, but okay. There was a store 3 miles from their house so I figured no problem. Apparently, there are problems. 1. No where on the site and especially no where during my order did the site say that the address was out of range for delivery and thus the delivery would be coming from Philadelphia. Not only would it not be delivered within the same day (Thursday), but it would not be delivered warm. I did not realize this until several hours after making the order. 2. Fed Ex requires you to be home for this delivery so when my friend unknowingly left home for a half hour to get food down the street, the delivery was unable to be completed. This meant that the delivery would not happen until Monday. That's right folks, 5 day old stale cookies rotting in a FedEx somewhere and that is if they happen to be home whenever the FedEx guy gets there. This was not stated anywhere on the website either. 3. When I contacted them via their chat on their website, all the guy would do is say sorry for the inconvenience. Dude... while having to go out of my way to contact Insomnia Cookies is an inconvenience, the rest of this fiasco is just plain horrible. Not Warm. Not Fresh. Not Delivered Same Day. He had no idea why it wasn't delivered. He told me to check with FedEx. He gave me a tracking number. That number... wasn't valid. 4. I had to call, purchase cookies and have my friends husband pick them up. I have paid twice for these cookies, plus the upcharge of ordering them online the first time (wasn't aware that was even a thing til today when I ordered them for pickup) and the shipping cost the first time. The Chat representative did nothing at all. There was no help from him and no compensation at all. I can only pray they give me a full refund. 5. Even ordering them for pickup sucks because they ran out of 90% of their "traditional" cookies so I could not even order the same cookies. Overall, I am super disappointed with the service of this place and the fact that pretty vital information for delivery orders is completely missing on the website. No compensation or real assistance from their customer service. The only redemption was the lovely Adriana on the phone when I called the bakery directly, but even she couldn't do much. I will never be doing this again.

Insomnia cookies one of my favorite after hour snack places They stay open to 3:00 in the morning making fresh Cookies And can even deliver to you in certain areas just as late I highly recommend this place for Those midnight snack cravings They also have milk chocolate milk ice cream and can even make you an ice cream sandwich out of whatever cookies you prefer

Pleaseee don't play yourself and get you some insomnia cookies!! Introduced to it as a cookie truck on my college campus and it's been love ever since. Their cookies always taste fresh out the oven and are ooey gooey yummy! My favorite is good ol' chocolate chip or M&M but they're all really good! If you buy several they come in this cute cookie "pizza" box. Really nothing bad to say!

MY FAVORITE LATE NIGHT DESSERTS!!! This location is always super friendly and if you're nice they'll give you extra cookies so happy they're open until 3 and they deliver! I come every couple of weeks

I rarely give five-star reviews on anything. That's how tough I am, lol :D But this was amazing. I loved the chocolate chip cookies, and the M'n'M cookies were great too. Again, this was recommended to me by a friend who is a local here, who goes here regularly, and it was amazing. I will have to come back!

I never ordered Insomnia Cookies before and decided to order online for delivery as I was studying for my finals. I'm glad I did! When they arrived, the cookies were still warm, delicious and amazing!! Each bite of the cookie was as soft and tender as eating cotton candy. The chocolate would melt into my mouth and bring a smile to my face. I have never had such awesome and fresh cookies in my entire life. Seriously. Despite two failed attempts at delivering to my dorm (they had called twice but my phone had limited service...) and calling customer service for redelivery (told them to text upon delivery instead of calling), I finally got my cookies delivered on the third attempt! Their customer service is excellent. I felt bad that they were unable to reach me 2 times yet, they were still willing to try to redeliver again. I rarely write Yelp reviews but I honestly want to write one for this. Thank you Insomnia Cookies! I don't understand why the Yelp rating is so low..., but I believe Insomnia Cookies truly deserve 5 stars for their superb cookies and customer service!
