I just finished a four-week watercolor class at **Instituto Allende** in San Miguel de Allende, and it was an amazing experience! Not only did I learn so much about painting (I didn't even know how to hold a brush at first!), but I also got to spend time in such a beautiful setting. The school is located in a stunning colonial-style building, with charming interior patios and lush gardens that make the perfect backdrop for creativity.
Our teacher, Alejandro, was incredibly patient and hands-on. He really helped me grasp watercolor techniques, and I appreciated that he speaks English! Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, the environment is welcoming and friendly. If you're looking to get into painting, I highly recommend taking classes here.
It was not just about learning a new skill – it was therapeutic and inspiring. I believe they offer more art classes too. Here are a few of my first watercolor projects!
