Don’t be put off by the canteen-like appearance when you walk in. Modest and non-pretentious the restaurant, simple but tasty the food. I had a carrot soup, fish, a side of veggies and white rice (dish of the day) for 6 euros. A meat alternative was available, and also a vegetarian option (quiche with vegetables). The espresso was perfect (ask for “espresso” or “espresso curto” for an Italian coffee or a short shot, respectively). The place has a terrace with a stunning view over the river. Plus, your money will contribute to fund the studies of individuals in need via the (religious) institution. A varied, local clientele tells me that this place enjoys a good reputation. Both food and experience left a nice taste.
