Insurgentes - Taco Bar

I’ve visited a few times and always in between lunch and dinner, so it’s usually chill, but you can tell that it can handle a very busy crowd. The ambiance is great, and so well hidden in what seems like a home from the outside. All the tacos have a very distinctly Mexican taste, and the salsas are all fantastic. The service is solid, the prices are fair, and the menu is big enough for you to want to return to try new things. This is an awesome taco offering in Bogotá. 🌮

Having come from London, I'm not used to tacos being 1) delicious and 2) value for money. This was. Chicken and pork particularly good, but everything hit the spot. And for a very reasonable price. Perfect for a quick bite before heading out.

Great food, really cool atmosphere, and friendly service. Although, $10 000 for a small bottle of water is a little excessive and I feel the price should be adjusted in half at the most. Amazing food. Great vibe. A must visit

Overpriced for what you get… my most expensive dinner in Bogota and I have nothing to show for it. Taco taste is decent nut unimpressive for a bar that only serves tacos. I expected to be amazed, had better tacos in mexican streets. The tres leches is very goood though and well portioned

Nice place for a great selection of Mezcal and delicious tacos! Service was perfect and the atmosphere has all the aspects you enjoy in Bogota, older buildings with history and charm but done is a classy and exciting way.

Walk in and you’ll instantly feel the energy: a buzzing old house transformed into a taco haven, with music, chatter, and sizzling tortillas filling every corner. And yes Gringos welcome lol The tacos? Next level. From al pastor that melts in your mouth to birria that demands a second round, and even vegetarian gems like aguacate Ensenada, there’s no wrong choice. Share the Taquiza Insurgentes (eight tacos, costras, esquites, and guac) and suddenly your table is the happiest corner in Chapinero. The drinks are just as impressive—mezcal cocktails, cold cervezas, and cheladas that somehow make Spanish roll off the tongue smoother. Downstairs is cozy; upstairs is pure energy. Yes, they take reservations—but honestly, showing up and diving into the bustle is half the fun. I’ve already been four times, and each visit reminds me why: the tacos keep calling me back.

Very cool spot with excellent food. Treated us stereotypical non-spanish speaking tourists very kindly and were extremely helpful and patient. Highly recommend!
