Interesting look at the history of instruments with the added bonus of interactive rooms where you get to try them out ! Very enjoyable , fun for adults and kids. I’m feel I’m officially old… part of the exhibit had a Sony Walkman and an old iPod :o The wall section below was a nice unexpected surprise , the time capsule is a good idea. I went an hour before closing while waiting for dinner reservation and it was ideal because it wasn’t overly busy - better for the interactive rooms. I did try to buy advance tickets online but it wasn’t available although there was no queue anyway.

A nice and interactive museum, especially enjoyable if you love music or visit with kids. You can try out several instruments, and the overall setup is modern and engaging. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. However, the museum is quite small and the exhibits are limited compared to other similar music museums — for example, the one in Vienna offers a much richer experience. Still, it’s a fun and educational stop for an hour or so while exploring Málaga, and the hands-on experience makes it worth visiting at least once.

Interesting museum with instruments I didn't even know existed, life a human skull with horns and strings, sort of Ed Gane guitar 😂 there are QR codes with some instruments so I recommend headphones for the visit. There are few instruments you can play on in some of the museum. However, THE HIGHLIGHT of the visit was the Flamenco show, it was an experience that will stay with me for a long long time, the feelings it created inside was amazing. Artist really put their hearts into it, their expression was just astonishing to look at, you will never have this from a video, if you are in Malaga, it is a MUST SEE. We got a tickets with the Hop-On Hop-Off Bus, but if needed, I'd pay extra for this

10/10 recommend the flamenco show in this museum. The dancer was incredible and so expressive. The singer was incredible and so expressive. The guitarro was incredible, and I loved watching him watch his compadres, to ensure everything was synced. Phenomenal.

Beautiful museum, very cultural and inspiring. The flamenco show was nice, though we expected a bigger stage and more dancers as shown on the flyer. Small venue, but still an enjoyable experience.

A fantastic place for a family outing! We visited the Interactive Music Museum in Málaga with our children and had a wonderful time. The kids were thrilled to be able to touch and play different instruments — such a great feature of the museum! The exhibitions are interesting, modern, and suitable for all ages. You can not only see instruments from around the world, but also learn about their history and hear how they sound. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended — it's both fun and educational!

Stepped into MIMMA in Málaga’s historic center and was instantly hooked by the vibe music history comes alive here! This isn’t just a museum; it’s a playground for anyone curious about sound. You can strum a guitar, tap a drum, or even try a harp in the “Please Play” rooms. The collection spans centuries and continents, with nearly 1,000 instruments, from ancient lutes to quirky global finds. Pro tip: scan the QR codes to hear each instrument’s sound it’s a game-changer for understanding their vibe. Tickets are only €5 (free for kids under 6), and it’s rarely crowded, so no queue stress. Don’t miss the basement with Málaga’s medieval walls for a cool photo backdrop. Check their site for flamenco show times worth the extra €19 if you catch one! Perfect for families or solo explorers near the Catedral.
