InterContinental Abu Dhabi by IHG

We were in abu dhabi to checkout the new museums , we were looking for a city resort with beach access ,saadiyat island was overpriced and yas island was a bit inconvenient . This location and hotel made sense especially with the price point for our last minute booking. We took the full board as IHG was running a good discount on the package. The first impression from the lobby was that this was quite an old property judging by the design and interiors. The checkin experience was a bit disappointing despite me having a gold elite tier. We took the 1 bed suite and found thr rooms to be spacious but dated. For dinner we tried their Japanese restaurant, apart from the sushi nothing really stood out. Their breakfast spread was decent and the staff did accommodate our request for lactose free items. The lunch at selections was the food highlight, it was a Christmas spread with some really good items . Thr family really enjoyed it. The pool and beach are a slight walk away from the hotel . The beach was undergoing maintenance works so it wasnt really that great. The pools for the children has a slide which was neat. All in all a good stay but nothing to write home about

I’ve stayed at this hotel twice in the last 2 months and I’ve really enjoyed it. I live in an Intercontinental in Qatar so I am used to the brand and I do benefit from various status upgrades, however, even without these, I believe the Intercontinental Abu Dhabi stands out as one of the better hotels in a competitive market.||My favourite feature has to be the Club Lounge. It has 2 floors, an outside balcony with excellent views, and even a baby grand piano. The F&B offerings in the Lounge are as expected to a high standard including a pretty Afternoon Tea presentation. Theresa was an excellent front-of-house both times I visited the Lounge, and I remember Rowena and Vince as being polite and helpful on both trips.||The hotel benefits from both a pool deck area and a larger ‘beach’ with separate pool a few minutes walk away. There are also several restaurants including a branch of the Belgian Beer Cafe which o always enjoy visiting.||Hashani and Askandar both looked after me well on arrival and made me feel very welcome. Of all the hotels I’ve stayed at in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, this has to be one of my favourites and I will certainly return.

We booked 2 rooms and stayed for 3nights as a family. It's a old property but quite well maintained even though bathroom is small. They have a swimming pool, and a private beach which is a big bonus. Private beach is around 10min walking distance from the hotel but still worth it. Breakfast is limited and it's not well maintained upto the 5star standard. As compared to other 5star hotels choices are limited and not well presented. For 1-2 days it's okay but if you are staying any longer you will get bored. Plus, staff is not well trained to tackle busy situations. When we were there hotel was really busy and you can see professionalism and calmness just fades away. Definitely they are missing small touches which makes service wow. One of the biggest disappointment is child food warming. They don't warm any child food due to health and safety but totally unacceptable when your child is 1.5yr old and only they rely on baby food which can't be warmed. If it's the case and policy then it should be very clearly mentioned when we book a family room. Concierge Mr. Shiju was really helpful and well communicated. Overall, it's a good hotel but definitely not a child friendly place.

Loved the ambiance of the hotel we been to the piano lounge it was so relaxing. And Mr. Adnan took a very good care of my family. He is a gem and a great asset for the hotel. Thank you so much Adnan we apricaite your proffesionalism.

I was very kindly upgraded to the Presidential Suite, completely to my surprise. The gesture truly made my stay exceptional. The room was spacious, luxurious, and impeccably clean, with every detail thoughtfully prepared. The staff were incredibly welcoming and professional from the moment I arrived, and their hospitality really stood out. I genuinely appreciate the upgrade and the overall experience — it made my stay unforgettable. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful experience at InterContinental Abu Dhabi. The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. They made our stay very comfortable, especially with kids. The play area, beach, and swimming pools were amazing and perfect for families. We also loved the easy access and connection to the other restaurants within the hotel, which made dining very convenient and enjoyable. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended for families looking for comfort, good service, and fun activities for children.

The texture was spot-on, with just the right amount of tenderness, making every bite a true delight. Paired with the right seasoning and possibly a delicious sauce, it was a standout dish that left me fully satisfied. The quality of the meat was top-notch, and it was cooked to perfection, truly elevating the dining experience. I also had the chance to explore the hotel's facilities. The pool area was beautiful, and the atmosphere was so relaxing. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any request. I also enjoyed the dining options – the food was delicious and the service was impeccable.
