What a wonderful hotel. Not modern but makes up for it in design, facilities and service. The rooms were moderately large and oozed 80s / 90s luxury. Oh the service, magnificent, this is what seperates an average hotel with an exceptional one. The breakfast was amazing with the highlights being the juice your own drink and the made to order eggs. With a location right on the river opposite the Adelaide oval, with a tram stop (leading to Glenelg and the beach) just out the front and only a 5min walk to Rundle Mall this is a must stay iconic Adelaide hotel.

I recently stayed again at the Intercontinental Adelaide and found it to be improved regarding the rooms. The hotel is very well located near the Adeliade Railway Station and Casino and is within walking distance to many very nice restaurants. The big improvement I noticed was the inclusion of USB hubs in the room. This is something the hotel has been lacking and has now improved the stay. I will continue to stay at the hotel when visiting Adelaide. The service and staff, as always, are outstanding.

From the minute you arrive, till you check out, the staff are amazing!! Very smooth and well-organized check in. The room beautifully clean. Bed so comfortable and pillows amazing.|The breakfast had a good selection of food but unfortunately there was a huge tour group that ate everything as soon as it was put out, so you had to stand there to get something for yourself. The club lounge was exceptional. Decided to eat here rather than main downstairs restaurant.|Location is amazing, close enough to walk into main town area, across the footbridge to Adelaide oval and walk to the zoo. Right next door to main train station.|It was a terrific stay and will return here next visit to Adelaide. Recommend a club room, the benefits are worth the cost and the staff are really good.

The hotel is very nice. All staff i have had interaction with have been super friendly. Very close to the casino with plenty of great food options around and a couple of convenience stores right across the road.

My experience at the accommodation was not very pleasant. Unfortunately, I encountered a significant issue with bed bugs, which made my stay quite uncomfortable. Additionally, the air conditioning unit in my room was malfunctioning, and despite bringing this to the staff's attention, no corrective measures were taken to resolve the issue during my stay. On a brighter note, the breakfast buffet was truly impressive, offering a wide variety of delicious options that helped start my day on a positive note. However, I still feel that the overall experience was not worth the money. On the positive side, the toilet was very clean, and the staff provided dental kit essentials daily without needing to be asked multiple times. Check-in and check-out processes were smooth as well.

Have been staying at the hotel for 6 nights with a 6-months-old. The location next to the river and the stuff members are great! The restaurant downstairs is pleasant, however, the building and the rooms & the furniture are old. They could at least replace the couch that has seen a lot, the bed/mattress is quite comfortable. The pool is heated which is nice, the hotel is 5 stars but doesn’t have neither sauna, no jacuzzi. The gym is good and open 24/7 but all the equipment is old, at least the yoga mats could be replaced with new ones due being in a very used/bad condition. Overall 4 stars, due the reasons I’ve mentioned.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the InterContinental Adelaide, overall, it was a positive experience. The hotel boasts a convenient location, making it easy to explore the surrounding area & a good locaiotin for my business activities. While the hotel does show signs of age and could benefit from some modern updates, it is exceptionally clean, and all services are functioning perfectly. This attention to cleanliness is commendable and contributes significantly to the comfort of guests. The gym particulary has good facilties and is in good order. The hotel bar is a highlight, offering a nice atmosphere for relaxation and socializing, though it is on the pricier side. It’s an ideal spot for enjoying a drink at the end of the day. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, although they echo the hotel's dated aesthetic. Personally, I found the bed to be a bit too hard for my liking, but I understand that comfort preferences vary. One of the standout aspects of my stay was the attentive service throughout the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring that all my needs were met during my visit, in particular the breakfast service and offerings. Overall, considering the price, cleanliness, comfortable & environment, I would not hesitate to stay at the InterContinental Adelaide again. It's a solid choice for anyone.

Big hotel. The breakfast was amazing. The room was big and comfortable. The air conditioning was a bit hard to navigate. Room service was good as was the daily cleaning. The restaurant/bar area was busy, loud on a Friday/Saturday as people going to the football/events gathered. A separate area is needed for people wanting a quiet dinner.
