InterContinental Almaty by IHG

A great hotel. Your home away from home. Location: Awesome. Service: Perfect. You can just download your stuff onto a receptionist and say you want this clean or leave your bag for a couple of days if you are travelling around the country. Rooms: Quite good. Not brand new, but definitely not shabby. Other: Great breakfast. Panoramic elevators.

This is an excellent and top-tier hotel for Almaty. I have stayed here many times and will continue to do so in the future. Staff is friendly and helpful. The lounge, available to IGH award members is great. I have no negative comments.

What a wonderful hotel in Almaty, a beautiful city full of trees. One the best breakfasts I had in years, very helpfull concierge. I will come back.

The Intercontinental has been one of the leading hotels in Almaty for over 20 years. ||But, slowly but surely, the hotel is getting tired with everything looking more and more antiquated. ||So why then still the 4-star rating: the hotel is conveniently located, its staff and management very friendly and service oriented and the rooms are clean. ||But: with new competition looming (a new Hilton, a renovated Hotel Kazakhstan with IHG standards), the necessary of a thorough makeover is clearly there.

Intercontinental Almaty never fails to offer five star services. Hotel staff starting from front desk, housekeeping, room service, and restaurant are always very attentive, friendly , and professional. This is the only hotel I’d stay in Almaty!

It is always a great experience when here but I must give a warning. They have a VERY different view of "heated pool" than I do. The pool is quite cold and is pretty far from being heated.

1st time in Almaty with family. Very courteous front desk staff and concierges. It was very helpful that most staff spoke English and extremely friendly. Have a great breakfast buffet and nice bar on the 2nd floor. We also enjoyed the spa facilities and the real good Turkish restaurant which was also on the 2nd floor

Excellent service! Staff make it perfect !!!!!! Room size for 3 tight but comfortable. Don’t like bath tub / shower combination . Food ( in room dining ) not great . Fried rice was strange . Overall excellent !!!!!!!
