InterContinental Baku by IHG

The Intercontinental hotel is a 5 star hotel and has a great ground floor buffet restraunt with an excellent array of food choices. The staff are excellent and very helpful, |The hotel has a heated pool and small gymnasium along with a mixed sex sauna and Turkish baths. |The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the maid staff does an excellent job of keeping them up to par. My special thanks go out to Ms. Christina whom found the time between my crazy schedule to clean my room without disturbing my sleeping hours. All the cleaning staff were great and paid attention to details.|This hotel has a great IHG club on the top floor kept stocked with snacks and happy hour drinks by the hardworking and knowledgable Mr.Husien. The club is a great private place to unwind over a drink and snacks,|the only downside to this hotel is the noise from the busy street nearby and the lack of a safe place to enter and exit taxis , as the few parking spaces are usually occupied.|however the location is excellent as the metro station is close by and shopping and eateries are everywhere.|All in all an excellent hotel.

The hotel was excellent and the service was great. However, the breakfast buffet needs severe improvement. The food is prepared well in advance, so by the time you reach breakfast, the food is cold/stale. I found moldy cheese on the serving dish. Hashbrowns were stale and cold. Omelet/egg chef is barely focused with you because he’s the only chef in charge of an egg station for the whole restaurant. Croissants ran out early and nobody replenished them. It needs to be improved and more staff members and servants need to be on hand. Otherwise a great experience and would highly recommend the hotel.

Stayed two nights and it was a very enjoyable stay in an ideal location, right by the boulevard and close to Baku’s main attractions. The hotel offers a modern, refined atmosphere and excellent recognition for InterContinental Ambassadors, which is always appreciated and never taken for granted. A few areas could be improved — the water pressure and temperature control were a bit inconsistent, and the gym and spa feel modest for a property of this level. Overall though, a high-quality stay with efficient service and a truly outstanding location.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding service provided by Mr. Hussein in the Lounge club during my stay at the InterContinental Baku. His professionalism, attention to detail, kindness, and genuine care greatly contributed to the comfort and overall quality of my experience at the hotel. Mr. Hussein’s dedication to guest satisfaction reflects the highest standards of hospitality, and I would like to commend him for his exemplary work. Honestly, this is the best hotel in Baku!

We stayed at intercontinental Baku , we were very disappointed in the chef . Extremely rude. We had requested for a takeaway breakfast an evening before our flight. The staff at the reception took note of it & mailed the same to the chef . Which was simple cheese tomatoe sandwiches , the chef could not make it vegetarian & we received ham & cheese . Clearly he didn’t care of the fact that we are vegetarians . At the reception they asked him to make quick cheese sandwiches , very rudely he threw the cheese in the bread while he shouted loud enough at the staff on the phone . Chef clearly didn’t care about vegetarian guests . While we saw him doin this we declined on taking the sandwiches which were being made out of anger . Be ware if you are a vegetarian, clearly @intercontinentalbaku is not the right choice .

This is my second time staying in InterContinental and it is really amazing! Everyone was so supportive with any request I ask for and hospitality level is at its best. Samir and Aszar took a very good care of me! Thanks for an amazing stay

Good choice to stay. But Hilton is more optimal. Though we didn't live, just visited, there so it's very subjective.

I would like to thank the InterContinental Baku for the warm welcome. It’s a beautiful hotel in an excellent and quiet location. I especially want to thank the reception team, and in particular Mr. Samir, for his outstanding hospitality and professionalism. I also appreciate the hotel for allowing a late checkout. I will definitely be coming back to this wonderful place. Thank you!
