My friends and I (a party of four) arrived at the InterContinental Berlin on September 2nd around noon. The check-in process at the front desk was smooth, though we had to wait a little longer than expected. The staff, however, were extremely polite and attentive, living up to the high standards I associate with InterContinental. Despite the standard check-in time being 3 PM, our rooms were ready by 12 PM, which was a pleasant surprise.||||We stayed in two rooms, both facing the inner courtyard. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, thanks to the hard work of the housekeeping team. One minor issue was that the sliding bathroom doors were slightly damaged and hard to open and close.||||The hotel’s location is excellent — just a five-minute walk to a large shopping mall and close to the Zoo and Aquarium.||||Breakfast was served in a spacious restaurant with plenty of seating, though surprisingly, the host did not guide guests to their tables. The American-style buffet offered a wide variety of options, and you could order dishes like eggs Benedict or omelettes. Unfortunately, the chef preparing the omelettes seemed a bit impatient, even when there were only a few guests ordering.||||The bar staff provided outstanding service. The female bartender recommended a lovely red wine, though we had already enjoyed quite a bit of wine in the city earlier that day, so we opted for mocktails instead. The bar atmosphere was relaxing and quiet, perfect for an evening unwind.||||On checkout day, we wanted to store our luggage while visiting the concentration camp in northern side. We had to wait longer than expected, likely due to a hotel event and staff shortage, but a kind front desk lady eventually assisted us.||||Overall, the InterContinental Berlin met my expectations — comfortable, well-located, and staffed by friendly personnel, with just a few minor service hiccups.
