InterContinental Budapest

We stayed for three nights in December as apart of our Christmas market trip to Budapest |Some of the good points of this hotel :|1. The view is outstanding! Just unreal in the day and even when lit up . Totally worth paying extra for |2. Location : top notch ! Heart of the city, opposite the chain bridge , super lively area, tram stop just outside , walkable to most places . Very Safe .. and just feels grand when you walk outside into the open road and river view as compared to any hotel in a side street .|3. Staff : very professional, prompt and polite. Check in and check out was super quick and smooth . Staff at breakfast are on their toes offering you coffee , juice or anything you may need and always smiling !!|4. Rooms are clean , neat and comfortable. Has everything you need from slippers , robes , kettle , coffee machine , fridge , ample light , complimentary drinking water . |5. lobby is large , busy and gives a good 5 star hotel atmosphere ||Now for the very few negotives |1. Bathrooms are very dated : eg things shower curtains , the old type hair dryers attached to the wall , no rain showers , old looking and worn out wood etc . They need to modernise a few things even if it means just change bathroom fittings |2. Rooms are also old looking now even though it’s comfortable. |3. Breakfast was just the exact same menu for three days .. absolutely no change in even One item .. so it became very boring and monotonous. Most of the items were not even hot . Breakfast being a large hotel is super super crowded and busy and very noisy .||All in all it’s a good location and a comfortable hotel . A few minor changes and they can up their game again

An amazing stay at InterContinental Budapest! The hotel has a perfect location, right in the heart of the city and close to everything – attractions, restaurants, and shopping 🏙️📍. The view is absolutely stunning, especially overlooking the Danube and the Parliament 🌊✨. Waking up to this view is unforgettable. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always smiling, making you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive 😊🤝. Rooms are clean, spacious, and well maintained, with very comfortable beds 🛏️🧼. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Budapest – whether for leisure or business. I would definitely stay here again! 🇭🇺❤️

Stayed for a few nights after a Danube cruise at the Presidential Suite with family. The suite is very spacious and has a very comfortable living area with a separate 10-seater dining area where we were able to spend time with other members of the family staying in other rooms and hotels. They thoughtfully placed my brother in law and niece on the same floor as us, even though we had different bookings and checked in at separate times. They also gave us extra key cards so we could access each others' rooms. The lounge had a great selection of drinks, but could improve in the variety of their food offerings. Our children loved the breakfast and complimentary softdrinks in the minibar, which they would refill. Outstanding service by Huba, Bence, and Atilla from the Bell Service Team who helped us with our many pieces of luggage, even with a very early checkout at 6am, and Ezsther, from reception, who remembered every member of our party throughout our stay.

Went there for Brunch on Christmas Day (25 December). The buffet selection was very nice and of a high quality. Everyone found enough to satisfy their hunger. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was friendly. The price was also reasonable.

Highlights of my trip. The service is really good and most importantly courteous! We have the river view room which is stunning. Bfast is really good and they even offer free access to their club lounge. Also Champaign and cake sent to our room! Love the whole experience

Wow, what a wonderful hotel & stay. We stayed 3nights here & really enjoyed every moment. Our room had a fabulous view directly over the castle and river dabube, it was magical to wake up to this view each morning. Breakfast was great, very tasty with a large selection and great service and lovely window views. The service was excellent, each staff member was so helpful, polite and courteous. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of October/early November and had a great time. The hotel is in an excellent location right on the river, and you can easily walk to many attractions including the cathedral. Many places to eat nearby and a tram stop just outside. The room was spacious and clean, albeit quite retro! Large bar area on the ground floor with views and a good drinks selection.||Would recommend.

I stayed here from October 31 to November 4, 2025 and my stay was magical. The hotel is lovely and the location is perfect as you can pretty much walk everywhere to see all the beautiful sights that Budapest has to offer. The staff at the hotel is super friendly and wonderful and they made my stay extra special. I had some cocktails at the restaurant that were delicious and again the staff was superb. The personnel at the front door were always smiling and courteous as were the people behind the check in counter when I walked by them each day. The lounge is great and everyone there went out of their way to make everything perfect. I felt I made friends with the lounge staff which was lovely. I also had a facial at the Spa and the young gentleman who gave me the facial was friendly, respectful, warm and welcoming and the facial is by far the best I’ve ever had. My hotel room was clean and I had no issues with the size or that it’s a bit outdated. My view also wasn’t the best but that didn’t matter to me because everything else was top notch. I hated to leave the hotel on my last day and I hated leaving Budapest. It’s a magically beautiful city and all the people I encountered were so wonderful and lovely. I’ll definitely be back to your hotel and the city. Bravo to your staff. They are awesome.
