The Intercontinental Buenos Aires has never disappointed me. Every time I stay here, I’m treated with genuine warmth and professionalism from the moment I arrive. The staff truly goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, and their attention to detail is what sets this hotel apart. Whether it’s at check-in, housekeeping, or room service, they’re always quick, efficient, and kind. The rooms are spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything working perfectly. Anytime I’ve needed something—extra towels, a quick request, or help with transportation—it’s been handled right away without any hassle. The hotel’s bar is top-tier, offering a relaxed but classy atmosphere and some of the best cocktails I’ve had in Buenos Aires. The restaurants are equally impressive, with food that’s consistently delicious and beautifully presented. Breakfast is another highlight, with plenty of choices and excellent quality. Overall, the Intercontinental Buenos Aires delivers every single time. It combines classic elegance with exceptional service, and it really makes you feel like a valued guest. I always look forward to coming back—this place has become my go-to hotel in the city for both comfort and great hospitality.

Traveling for a cruise to Antarctica, with an entire group. We check out between 2:00-3:00 am. The front desk manager is on some kind of power trip! Check in is at 4:00 pm and they made every guest wait until exactly 4:00 pm. Not one minute before would they issue a room key. I went to a staff member, she looked on the computer, and I could tell a room was ready. She motioned to the manager, and she said no. You expect more from Intercontinental! Very sub-par treatment. It's difficult to really enjoy it. I know full well the all 60 rooms needed for our group didn't magically finish the cleaning at 4:00 pm on the dot. Other guests are mad too. I will petition Atlas Ocean Voyages to choose the Marriott next time! Update: Celina emailed and said to book earlier (so another night) and "add it to your bill" if you want to check in before 4:00 pm. She also said "Check in time is 4 pm and it is the same time in all hotels in the city." This is untrue. Several hotels, including Marriott, have a 3 pm check in. Ai will give you an entire list of hotels with a 3 pm check in. So InterContinental just wants more money, rather than let you check in even 5 minutes before 4:00 pm.

Lovely hotel with great staff. Tobias and Sofia at the Club Lounge are excellent and attentive to the guests' needs. The Concierge Ruben is the best I have deal with in year. Celina Vesprini, Director of Room, dealt with a minor issue in my room efficiently and rapidly. María Gala Moral in reservations made sure I go the room I wanted despite the hotel not having many vacancies. This will always be my home away from home when I am in Buenos Aires.

The staff is very accommodating and friendly. My flight arrived in the morning and I was able to get an early check in instead of depositing my luggage and returning later in the afternoon. The food in both restaurants was better than expected. Rooms have great amenities and are very comfortable. I had a small issue with the air conditioning and it was immediately attended to. The location makes it easy to navigate to San Telmo's markets and other attractions. I very much enjoyed my stay!

Fantastic service, great room and friendly staff! They arranged transportation to and from the airport making our stay seamless. |We requested a power converter and a hairdryer and they were promptly delivered to our room.|They also gave us an outstanding restaurant recommendation and provided a free shuttle to and from it|A great and relaxing stay.

Superb hotel - I loved it. My room was more like a room in α grand private residence than a hotel. Breakfast was great with hot, rich coffee (too often hotel coffee is neither). Attentive service throughout my three-day stay. As an IHG member, I was able to enjoy afternoon tea and evening drinks etc. Location is excellent; easy to reach the Plaza de Mayo; the Avenida 9 de Julio, Obelisco and Teatro Colón are also easily quite close by. I had a small problem with the toilet during my stay; it was fixed immediately and I also received a call to confirm whether everything was now okay. All staff were extremely courteous and friendly. The highest recommendation is always this: I'd stay there again.

The hotel is in a good location and we walked to various sites including San Telmo Market, Puerto Madero and Plaza de Mayo. Cafe Tortoni is only a few minutes walk away as are some good restaurants and bars. Two metro stations are close by and two blocks away is the 64 bus stop which we used to get a bus to La Boca.||Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet for the duration of our 3 night stay. We had tea and coffee making facilities which were topped up everyday. The room decor is a bit dated but it didn't spoil our stay.||All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

The staff at IHG INT BA is outstanding- very friendly, and helpful, outstanding suggestions for local activities. Business center printer was inoperative but front desk staff was able to print out my document for me.||Will definitely stay here again on next trip to BA!

Yelp
Wonderful centrally located hotel. The staff went above and beyond to ensure all of our needs were met. We upgraded our room to take advantage of the private breakfast and cocktail hour offered daily. To say it was worth every penny would be an understatement. It was fantastic.

Yelp
This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. Check-in was super easy and I was on my way to my room very quickly. The room was very large and comfortable. Everything was clean and the bed was great to sleep on. All my boxes were checked and I will definitely be back. Employees were also super friendly and helpful. You are within walking distance of so many restaurants and shopping street.

Yelp
Highly recommended. This is a fabulous, old-world like, marble and stone hotel that one might imagine as plucked out of 19th century Europe and set into a city block in downtown Buenos Aires. Everything about this hotel is first rate: the location, the service, the quarters, the restaurants and service. We were lucky enough to snag 4-nights on points because this is an IHG Hotel and we are IHG Spire Elite Members. The service here is extraordinary. Need tickets to a nearby Tango show? You'll get help at the front desk for bookings and the hotel will arrange for a hotel van to take you over and back. Need a ride to the port to take the high-speed catamaran from B.A. to Montivideo? No problem. The hotel will arrange for a taxi to take you there. Want to get out of the hotel and stop at a Starbucks, a cafe, a pharmacy, or just take a walk around? No worries. The hotel is smack-dab in middle of where all of the action is in the downtown B.A. area. Want to go out at night? The staff will caution you about security and help you make arrangements. Street security can be dodgy in B.A. at night. If you're in B.A., this is a great place to stay. Go and enjoy!

Yelp
Nice hotel - standard fair intercontinental. Decor is nice, clean and amazing staff. Sadly let down by both the in-house restaurant and "flora".

Yelp
I've stayed at this hotel a few times and have pleasant experiences each time. It's in a good location that is walking distance to lively areas and good restaurants. There is an atm in the building next door, as well as a Starbucks. Cafes, pharmacies, grocery stores are all at a close walking distance, too. The staff here are always very friendly and accommodating. It has security and concierge as well. It's a very pretty hotel with some comfortable rooms. There are some with carpeted or wood floors. I always ask for wood floor because the carpet seems a bit old and aggravates my allergies. Most rooms come with a shower and tub along with great amenities. There is a nice size mini fridge, too. If you're feeling room service, you won't be disappointed. They have excellent food at a very good price. Their ribeye is one that won't let you down! All around a nice hotel.

Yelp
I come here a lot and I must say this is a place of fun and peace! We are in walking distance to a lot of fun and cool neighborhoods to explore. Everyone is friendly and very accommodating! My bed is soooo comfortable every single time! I Prefer carpet floors than the wood, just because the carpet floors are softer to hear. I dislike the wood floors because I feel like everyone can hear me moving things around in the room. The restaurant, lobby bar, and room service are very fast ! I love the wait staff, the concierge and door men. They all are so nice to me every time I come here! Will be back !

Yelp
I have been coming to this hotel for over 18 years. What I appreciate the most has been the staff. Christian, Nestor, Veronica, Ruben , Celina, Frank and Pablo have been exceptional. Constanza and Celina have been great too. I also have had the opportunity of meeting several of the former GMs... Alvaro Rey, Martin Drendt, Michael HoeKnudsen and Thane Kuhlman. I always look forward to returning. Dr. Erick J. Mann, PhD Professor of History and Fulbright Scholar

Yelp
I was in BA 2 days ago. This hotel is so beautiful and the room I stayed in was very nice. It's located in the convenient area of the city. I ordered room service while I was there and it was incredible and inexpensive. The food was exquisite. The hotel staff were very friendly and hospitable. I definitely recommend this hotel for accommodation.

Yelp
Though my partner and I were in Buenos Aires for four nights, our short trip was simply magical; besides the novelty of visiting a new city, one with gorgeous classical architecture throughout and an incredible food scene, our hotel stay at the intercontinental was fantastic as well. Centrally located on a quiet side street amidst the hustle and bustle of the metropolis, the hotel, though not the brand's newest property, is still very grand. Very seldom does one ever encounter staff so eager to help, however the staff of this hotel are TRULY what make this a wonderful property. They are all absolutely 5 stars. Sylvia is incredibly proactive and helpful, and gave us a wonderful upgrade to the INCREDIBLE 19th floor Presidential Suite, which we were very grateful to receive. The tall Russian girl who checked us in at the Club Floor, who's name escapes us at the moment, was so delightful! (We wish we could remember her name) The gentlemen of the concierge were all great and very excited to help, but Ruben, the head concierge, made the biggest impact of all. Ruben is wonderfully genuine, well rounded, and easy to speak to. Any and every request we threw his way was met AND exceeded without hesitation. Not only did He hunt down and secure specific boutique wines for my partner, but also he tried his hardest to find a rare CD of the famous Argentine Folk singer Maria Marta Serra Lima, and though the job was hard, he still was able to find me something just as special. Even after my checkout, Ruben was happy to help with a defective item I had purchased in BA and ensured the exchange and shipping to me back home. His restaurant recommendations were on point and daily landmark itinerary were essential to our stay. A true ambassador of the city of BA. His services rendered were truly invaluable to us and The Intercontinental Hotel Buenos Aires is very lucky to have him. And now the room: the double doors opened up to a gorgeous suite with Huge windows throughout, an impressive dining room, a very long veranda and even a baby grand piano, we never wanted to leave! And that was just the living room!! We could have made a trip just out of enjoying the room itself. Our huge bed was plush and cozy and really helped us get good rest! Our Buenos aires trip is one that periodically runs through my mind and we cannot wait to return!

Yelp
Cock roaches climbed over me all night. I recommend staying anywhere else. I can't wait to leave and board the ship. I'm a camper but this is too gross for me

Yelp
I love this hotel. The rooms a very comfortable and quiet. Wonderful beds that you just sink into a deep sleep. I also love that the bath and shower are separate . I'm a bath person and like to have a good long soak with out feeling claustrophobic in the tub. There is an awesome wine shop in the lobby too. The staff are just lovely.

Yelp
I frequent this hotel for work, and over all it's not bad at all. Like any hotel I've found a list of good things and a list of bad things that I like or dislike about this property. Some of the pros include friendly staff, fast elevators, secure property, and wondering food that isn't expensive. On the downside I would say that the rooms are outdated and ready for a revamp. The rooms are decorated in a very traditional style. Be sure to request a room with hardwood floors as the carpet in some rooms is quite nasty. However I noticed that the carpeted rooms seem a bit warmer than the hard wood. The Internet in the hotel is so so. It works but the speed is terrible. The location is great you are steps away from everything you need to see in buenos aires. Enjoy.

Yelp
Hotel is in a great part of the city. So much history and great architecture. Rooms are spacious, beds comfortable, and towels are soft! Plus everyone that works here is so friendly and helpful!

Yelp
Excellent old world hotel. Comfortable and clean. The staff speak English and are eager to help. The rooms are roomy and immaculate, we were upgraded to a large executive suite. I will try to stay here on my next visit to BA.
