We stayed here for only one night on our return from Iguazu Falls. They upgraded our room and gave us a late check out of 4pm so we could take our time on our last day in Buenos Aires. The accommodations were perfect and bedding was so comfortable. Our view from the 18th floor was beautiful. We enjoyed a drink in the club lounge before dinner and another one in the hotel bar after. The breakfast in the club lounge was one of the best I’ve had. The service at the hotel was splendid in every way and the concierge suggested a beautiful restaurant for dinner with equally good service.

Very nice location, helpful staff, great hotel and amenities and they kept my room available for the early Saturday am check in since that’s when our flight arrived. It’s not always easy to get a hotel to do this but they handled it perfectly. The level of service and quality of stay were excellent given what we paid and we will stay here again next time. It’s always amazing how great Intercontinental Hotels are outside of the US. I wish the US locations were half as good as the Buenos Aires Intercontinental. Great place.

Having recently completed a week-long stay at the InterContinental Buenos Aires, I find it both a pleasure and a necessity to express my appreciation for what was, by every measure, an exceptional hospitality experience, one that not only met but significantly surpassed the standards typically associated with renowned five-star properties.||||Although my arrival was accompanied by minor room-related concerns, what followed was nothing short of a masterclass in guest service recovery. Celina and Mateo of the guest relations team demonstrated an extraordinary level of professionalism, empathy, and attentiveness. Their approach went beyond simple courtesy; it reflected a deep commitment to genuine guest satisfaction and an innate understanding of what it means to deliver service with both integrity and grace.||||What distinguishes InterContinental Buenos Aires from its peers is not merely the quality of its physical spaces, but the caliber of its people. I’ve previously stayed at esteemed properties such as Sofitel and Meliá in Recoleta each celebrated for their elegance and heritage. Yet, the consistency and sincerity of service I experienced at InterContinental left a far more lasting impression. There is an unmistakable culture of excellence embedded in the fabric of this hotel, and it resonates in every interaction from the reception desk to housekeeping and beyond.||||The hotel’s location is equally commendable. Strategically situated in the heart of the city, it offers effortless access to Buenos Aires’ most iconic cultural and historical sites. Within walking distance are the magnificent Teatro Colón, the emblematic Obelisco, and the lively pedestrian avenue of Florida Street. Nearby, one can explore the historic charm of San Telmo, with its antique fairs and timeless tango spirit, as well as the political and architectural grandeur of Casa Rosada and the solemn beauty of Recoleta Cemetery. Whether you’re in the city for business or leisure, the InterContinental places you at the intersection of tradition, vibrancy, and convenience.||||To describe this as a pleasant stay would be reductive. It was, in every sense, an elevated experience—shaped not only by the hotel’s refined amenities and ideal location but by the unwavering dedication of the individuals who uphold its reputation. Because of this, I would without hesitation, rate InterContinental Buenos Aires 11 out of 10. It is an accolade thoroughly earned and richly deserved.||||To Celina, Mateo, and the entire InterContinental team: thank you for turning a simple stay into something truly memorable. You have not only exemplified excellence, you have redefined it.

As a frequent traveler (every week) for the last 15 years.I have had and continue to have the opportunity to stay weekly in different hotels brands around the world..However, this particular property Intercontinental Buenos Aires Its only a fancy name. If you don't have status with IHG their treatment is different. My room was prepaid in full in advance, upon my arrival I was asked that a credit card was needed for incidentals, which I understand perfectly. What they don't tell you its the large amount they will hold. I provided my credit card and when I get to my room I noticed there was a charge on my card for USD$225.00 I called the reception and they explained that was the hold for Incedentals. How come you will put a hold for that amount of money when a reservation is prepaid in advance in full. I paid for my room about USD$152.00 and the hold for incidentals the still have on my card exceeded that amount. How can this be possible? Any other hotel brand even a five start property will probably hold from your card, USD$75.00 USD$100.00 and not to exceed USD$150.00. IHG BA before you place a hold on a guest card let the guest know how much will the hold be. I think they only do this for international travelers, the economy in Argentina at this moment is devalued, I wonder if they charge the local the same amount of money. Also, the room services prices are shamefully expensive ARG pesos 30,000 for a simple salad, ARG pesos 10,000 for a beer. I've stayed at your hotel several times, and it's always exactly the same. This was my last stay at your crappy property. Intercontinental BA will never see me nor any of my associates. Don't stay there people, there are several hotel brands in BA less expensive, great service.. Avoid intercontinental BA at all cost.

Having stayed at this property in the past- I can honestly say it’s the amazing group of people working here who make each stay worth the visit. In particular Luis- always went above and beyond - remembered how I liked my drinks in both the bar and lounge and showed a genuine level of care towards all guests. Lounge staff Sofia and Tobias showed daily consistency with their level of attention to detail. Thank you for a great stay and look forward to my next visit!

An old-style grand hotel with a grand lobby. Rooms are old style grand too with heavy furniture. But it is a bit dated. The strongest point is the staff, who are all out to help with anything. There is an indoor swimming pool with sauna and steam room, plus gym. It is an old-style chain hotel. Buffet breakfast is good with many items.

Google
The rooms are quite dated, the hotel could honestly use a bit of a refresh, considering the prices. The common areas were very nice and staff very friendly and helpful though my room wasn’t cleaned/tidied up on a 2 night stay, not sure if that’s normal. The breakfast selection is great. They also operate shuttles to nearby touristic locations which was nice.

The InterContinental hotel was an excellent place and location to stay. We arrived early where we were able to check our luggage and then head out to do some site seeing. The staff was very helpful and treated us like VIPs. Upon our return in the afternoon we checked in very quickly, were given an upgrade to our room, and our luggage was brought to us quickly. The accommodations were very nice and we will return to this hotel.

Yelp
Wonderful centrally located hotel. The staff went above and beyond to ensure all of our needs were met. We upgraded our room to take advantage of the private breakfast and cocktail hour offered daily. To say it was worth every penny would be an understatement. It was fantastic.

Yelp
This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. Check-in was super easy and I was on my way to my room very quickly. The room was very large and comfortable. Everything was clean and the bed was great to sleep on. All my boxes were checked and I will definitely be back. Employees were also super friendly and helpful. You are within walking distance of so many restaurants and shopping street.

Yelp
Highly recommended. This is a fabulous, old-world like, marble and stone hotel that one might imagine as plucked out of 19th century Europe and set into a city block in downtown Buenos Aires. Everything about this hotel is first rate: the location, the service, the quarters, the restaurants and service. We were lucky enough to snag 4-nights on points because this is an IHG Hotel and we are IHG Spire Elite Members. The service here is extraordinary. Need tickets to a nearby Tango show? You'll get help at the front desk for bookings and the hotel will arrange for a hotel van to take you over and back. Need a ride to the port to take the high-speed catamaran from B.A. to Montivideo? No problem. The hotel will arrange for a taxi to take you there. Want to get out of the hotel and stop at a Starbucks, a cafe, a pharmacy, or just take a walk around? No worries. The hotel is smack-dab in middle of where all of the action is in the downtown B.A. area. Want to go out at night? The staff will caution you about security and help you make arrangements. Street security can be dodgy in B.A. at night. If you're in B.A., this is a great place to stay. Go and enjoy!

Yelp
Nice hotel - standard fair intercontinental. Decor is nice, clean and amazing staff. Sadly let down by both the in-house restaurant and "flora".

Yelp
I've stayed at this hotel a few times and have pleasant experiences each time. It's in a good location that is walking distance to lively areas and good restaurants. There is an atm in the building next door, as well as a Starbucks. Cafes, pharmacies, grocery stores are all at a close walking distance, too. The staff here are always very friendly and accommodating. It has security and concierge as well. It's a very pretty hotel with some comfortable rooms. There are some with carpeted or wood floors. I always ask for wood floor because the carpet seems a bit old and aggravates my allergies. Most rooms come with a shower and tub along with great amenities. There is a nice size mini fridge, too. If you're feeling room service, you won't be disappointed. They have excellent food at a very good price. Their ribeye is one that won't let you down! All around a nice hotel.

Yelp
I come here a lot and I must say this is a place of fun and peace! We are in walking distance to a lot of fun and cool neighborhoods to explore. Everyone is friendly and very accommodating! My bed is soooo comfortable every single time! I Prefer carpet floors than the wood, just because the carpet floors are softer to hear. I dislike the wood floors because I feel like everyone can hear me moving things around in the room. The restaurant, lobby bar, and room service are very fast ! I love the wait staff, the concierge and door men. They all are so nice to me every time I come here! Will be back !

Yelp
I have been coming to this hotel for over 18 years. What I appreciate the most has been the staff. Christian, Nestor, Veronica, Ruben , Celina, Frank and Pablo have been exceptional. Constanza and Celina have been great too. I also have had the opportunity of meeting several of the former GMs... Alvaro Rey, Martin Drendt, Michael HoeKnudsen and Thane Kuhlman. I always look forward to returning. Dr. Erick J. Mann, PhD Professor of History and Fulbright Scholar

Yelp
I was in BA 2 days ago. This hotel is so beautiful and the room I stayed in was very nice. It's located in the convenient area of the city. I ordered room service while I was there and it was incredible and inexpensive. The food was exquisite. The hotel staff were very friendly and hospitable. I definitely recommend this hotel for accommodation.

Yelp
Though my partner and I were in Buenos Aires for four nights, our short trip was simply magical; besides the novelty of visiting a new city, one with gorgeous classical architecture throughout and an incredible food scene, our hotel stay at the intercontinental was fantastic as well. Centrally located on a quiet side street amidst the hustle and bustle of the metropolis, the hotel, though not the brand's newest property, is still very grand. Very seldom does one ever encounter staff so eager to help, however the staff of this hotel are TRULY what make this a wonderful property. They are all absolutely 5 stars. Sylvia is incredibly proactive and helpful, and gave us a wonderful upgrade to the INCREDIBLE 19th floor Presidential Suite, which we were very grateful to receive. The tall Russian girl who checked us in at the Club Floor, who's name escapes us at the moment, was so delightful! (We wish we could remember her name) The gentlemen of the concierge were all great and very excited to help, but Ruben, the head concierge, made the biggest impact of all. Ruben is wonderfully genuine, well rounded, and easy to speak to. Any and every request we threw his way was met AND exceeded without hesitation. Not only did He hunt down and secure specific boutique wines for my partner, but also he tried his hardest to find a rare CD of the famous Argentine Folk singer Maria Marta Serra Lima, and though the job was hard, he still was able to find me something just as special. Even after my checkout, Ruben was happy to help with a defective item I had purchased in BA and ensured the exchange and shipping to me back home. His restaurant recommendations were on point and daily landmark itinerary were essential to our stay. A true ambassador of the city of BA. His services rendered were truly invaluable to us and The Intercontinental Hotel Buenos Aires is very lucky to have him. And now the room: the double doors opened up to a gorgeous suite with Huge windows throughout, an impressive dining room, a very long veranda and even a baby grand piano, we never wanted to leave! And that was just the living room!! We could have made a trip just out of enjoying the room itself. Our huge bed was plush and cozy and really helped us get good rest! Our Buenos aires trip is one that periodically runs through my mind and we cannot wait to return!

Yelp
Cock roaches climbed over me all night. I recommend staying anywhere else. I can't wait to leave and board the ship. I'm a camper but this is too gross for me

Yelp
I love this hotel. The rooms a very comfortable and quiet. Wonderful beds that you just sink into a deep sleep. I also love that the bath and shower are separate . I'm a bath person and like to have a good long soak with out feeling claustrophobic in the tub. There is an awesome wine shop in the lobby too. The staff are just lovely.

Yelp
I frequent this hotel for work, and over all it's not bad at all. Like any hotel I've found a list of good things and a list of bad things that I like or dislike about this property. Some of the pros include friendly staff, fast elevators, secure property, and wondering food that isn't expensive. On the downside I would say that the rooms are outdated and ready for a revamp. The rooms are decorated in a very traditional style. Be sure to request a room with hardwood floors as the carpet in some rooms is quite nasty. However I noticed that the carpeted rooms seem a bit warmer than the hard wood. The Internet in the hotel is so so. It works but the speed is terrible. The location is great you are steps away from everything you need to see in buenos aires. Enjoy.

Yelp
Hotel is in a great part of the city. So much history and great architecture. Rooms are spacious, beds comfortable, and towels are soft! Plus everyone that works here is so friendly and helpful!

Yelp
Excellent old world hotel. Comfortable and clean. The staff speak English and are eager to help. The rooms are roomy and immaculate, we were upgraded to a large executive suite. I will try to stay here on my next visit to BA.
