InterContinental Chantilly Château Mont Royal

Thanks Ekaterina for a great service, and Anna in spa. Restaurant is good (would like to have wider menu and bar or conference room which is open 24h). The only one problem is gym. Everything was Brocken there, all machines. And would like to go to pool in the evening which was closed, and to do cardio before breakfast, but gym was closed. Also would be better for guests who like healthy lifestyle to make gym 24hours open. Location is amazing. Rooms and cleaning was great. Just small details to make it perfect.

I spent two nights at the InterContinental Chantilly Château Mont Royal with my wife and our two daughters. We really enjoyed the location, the dinner, and the swimming pool, which all contributed greatly to the quality of our stay.||However, we were very disappointed with the attitude of the concierge/valet. He clearly took issue with the fact that we preferred to park our car in the parking lot ourselves rather than leave him the keys to park it in front of the hotel, which gave us an unpleasant feeling of being pushed into using a service. He then ignored us and gave us disapproving looks throughout our entire stay, up until the moment we left. This behavior is definitely not up to the standards one would expect from such an establishment.||Finally, we also found that both the breakfast and the flush in the bathroom did not meet the expectations for a hotel of this category.

My entire stay at this hotel was an incredible pleasure. The check-in was an absolute breeze, thanks to Raja, who welcomed us with incredible warmth! He showed utmost attention to detail, ensuring we had everything we needed with unparalleled kindness. He even whisked our luggage up to the room and expertly prepared our sofa bed – swift and professional! Arezki at reception was also a standout, being friendly, kind, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. The next morning, Marine and Jose at reception were generally helpful and kind, while Fabrice, our guest relations officer, was remarkably friendly and helpful – he even offered us bottles of water for the journey and looked after every need! I'll never forget this wonderful experience, thanks to the exceptional service from all the team, especially Raja, Arezki, Marine, Jose, and Fabrice

The InterContinental Chantilly Château Mont Royal.It has an interesting history. The original chateau building was constructed in the early 20th century by the architect Guillaume Tronchet in the Louis XVI style. The chateau was originally built as a country residence for the aristocracy of the early 20th century, and the architecture still shows the features of the "transition" - the classical austerity of the Louis XVI style is intertwined with the light eclecticism of the Belle Époque.The hotel is located in the Chantilly forest, which creates a sense of a secluded reserve surrounded by Nature .Despite the proximity of Paris (only about 40 km), the hotel remains a quiet refuge in the forest - a feeling of being in a country castle rather than just a hotel.The hotel has 109 rooms and suites, the interiors of which are inspired by the bionic environment, the equestrian traditions of the region and the subtleties of Chantilly lace .Many rooms have a view of the forest, and many have balconies or terraces. Unfortunately, there is a highway nearby, and the noise sometimes reaches the hotel. This disrupts the peaceful atmosphere.The chateau has two restaurants: L'Opera, located in the former music salon, and Le Stradivarius, which occupies the former library. The latter is quite small, and when there are many guests, it can become noisy.The restaurants offer dishes made with local ingredients, such as game, cheese from Picardy, and, of course, the famous "à la Chantilly" cream. The cuisine is excellent, and I highly recommend it.

I was very eager to stay at this property and, frankly, quite disappointed by the experience. I believe the whole purpose to drive to the forest is to get a restful experience and this wasn’t really it. While the staff across the hotel are generally friendly and helpful, it is difficult not to notice the lack of amenities and services within the premises. I should perhaps have done more research, but to my surprise the eating / drinking options are very limited - non existent. There is no lobby lounge or equivalent space where guests can sit and have a drink. If you fancy a hot chocolate that won’t be an option. There is no bar on the premises (the gastronomic restaurant is used as a bar during the off-season). The room-service menu is very limited and poorly executed, despite relatively high prices. Breakfast is rather mediocre and badly organized. The room where it takes place feels overcrowded. I would strongly encourage the hotel to introduce some à la carte options to ease the flow and improve guest experience. The spa is awkwardly designed, and the flow of guests does not allow for a pleasant experience. The whirlpool appears to be malfunctioning, as it vibrates excessively, and the lighting choices are odd and potentially problematic, as they may trigger discomfort or even seizures for guests with light sensitivity. There are also no showers immediately adjacent to the pool, which could arguably be a breach of hygiene standards. We did receive a nicely renovated room, likely thanks to our IHG Platinum status, which was appreciated. The room was well soundproofed and comfortable; however, the bathrooms and toilets remain unchanged. There are no heated floors or amenities that would make the stay feel like a true luxury hotel, with the exception of the Byredo toiletries. We experienced issues with housekeeping on two occasions. Turndown service took place at 8:00 p.m (whereas I would expect it between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m). Additionally, housekeeping attempted to enter our room without knocking at 1:00 p.m. despite a late checkout being confirmed until 4:00 p.m. Finally, the hotel did not honor the food and beverage credit advertised through InterContinental marketing, in despite of my attempt to reach out to them by email. The overall experience was acceptable, but paying €600 for one night felt excessive. Comparable hotels near Paris or elsewhere in France offer similar or better experiences at 40–50% lower prices. I would not recommend staying here unless you are specifically looking for a serviced guesthouse-style experience and have a generous budget to spare.

I absolutely loved staying at the InterContinental Hotel. It is beautiful and luxurious, set in the charming and unique town of Chantilly. The rooms are extremely comfortable, the food is delicious, and the staff is incredibly kind. A special thank you to Victoria, who truly went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Paul and Ulrich always welcomed us at the restaurants with the warmest smiles. We visited as a family and enjoyed the Chantilly baking classes with Chiara, who is an absolute sweetheart. We also spent time walking in nature and relaxing by the pool. I highly recommend visiting the InterContinental Hotel. A wonderful experience from start to finish.

Extremely disappointing service at Intercontinental Chantilly Opera restaurant tonight. I am hearing impaired. Unfortunately I cannot hear properly when there is noise. An invisible but difficult disability. There was a very loud group of English tourists in the restaurant. My partner requested that we be seated elsewhere and explained my hearing problem to the restaurant manager. The restaurant manager refused to accommodate us and told us to take room service instead.

The rooms are nice and cosy although there is no heating nor in the bathroom nor in the toilet. The breakfast menu is acceptable but not outstanding for a five star hotel. The restaurants are also not on a five star level but the prices are. €28,- for a mini club sandwich with two small chunks of chicken is not justified. All in all not a 5star experience…And the Spa is just a small pool, a mini jacuzzi and a small sauna…also not 5 stars…

This hotel is unbelievable. It is a hotel that was built in the 18th Century and is nestled in the forest of Chantilly. This hotel location is not too far from the historical Chateau de Chantilly. When you first arrive to the compound, you drive through the lush green forest of this French countryside. When you come up to the hill, you enter the grand entry of the majestic architecture of this Chateau. The actual hotel rooms are situated in the northwest of the original Chateau. An exquisite grand lobby/entry welcomes you when you first step into the building. There is a restaurant and a bar which is situated in the main Chateau. This resort also has an indoor pool with spa and a gorgeous chandelier right above it. There is a workout room and a steam room adjacent to the pool area. Several meeting areas are also situated on this floor. In the back, there is a huge patio area with seating. The rooms at this resort are large and spacious. There is a flatscreen TV with entertainment system as well as free wifi throught the property. The rooms are pretty energy conscious as you must put your room card key in the slot right just inside the doorway to operate the lighting. There have been times where I accidentally forgot the room key in the slot and locked myself out of the room upon exit. Fortunately the staff is very friendly and understanding and will issue you a new card key if needed. If you are looking to experience France and the French countryside, this is resort is the place to be!
