Home Beside the Haram Dar Al Tawhid InterContinental, Makkah I stayed at Dar Al Tawhid InterContinental from October 15 – 20, and honestly, every visit feels like coming home. The moment you step inside, a soft breeze of jasmine greets you, that signature scent that somehow captures the peace of Makkah itself. The location couldn’t be better , right across from Gate 79 , but what truly makes this hotel special is its people. Breakfast here isn’t just a meal, it’s an experience. Brother Salman, who manages the floor, runs it like a symphony. Every chafing dish shines like glass, every detail is spotless, and he notices everything. Watching his team work is like watching precision with a smile. Our servers, Brother Etihad and Brother Mohammad Traibia, were exceptional , by the second morning, they already knew exactly how I take my coffee and how my husband likes his tea. That kind of memory and care is rare. Even after long days of ibadah, returning to our room felt like bliss. Sohail and Nasim made sure it was always immaculate, softly perfumed, and welcoming , every night felt like a fresh arrival. As I sit on my flight home, I already miss it , the scent, the serenity, and above all, the warmth. Dar Al Tawhid isn’t just the best hotel in Makkah; it’s the only one that feels like home.

During my Umrah journey, Al Rehab Restaurant at Dar El Tawhid Intercontinental Makkah became one of the most enjoyable and refreshing dining experiences I had. The restaurant offers a wide range of healthy options — from fresh salads, steamed and sautéed vegetables, tropical fruits, and premium dates to high-quality proteins like chicken, fish, and beef cooked with both international and Middle Eastern flavors. As someone who prioritizes protein and fiber balance, I truly appreciated how easy it was to build a clean, energizing meal here. I deliberately skipped the Indonesian dishes (which were available) and instead focused on mixing and matching salads, vegetables, fruits, and a small portion of carbs from either Middle Eastern or Western selections. It kept my stamina strong throughout Umrah while still feeling light and nourished. What stood out most for me was the service. The staff here were attentive, respectful, and non-discriminatory — quite a contrast to another restaurant (PR breakfast area), where I unfortunately felt overlooked because of my Indonesian look or perhaps a less “affluent” appearance compared to Arab or European guests. At Al Rehab, I felt sincerely welcomed. Especially for Rashid Shaikh and Shadir thank you for the great hospitality. The atmosphere was peaceful, clean, and elegant, offering a beautiful space to rest and reflect after prayers at the Holy Mosque. Overall, Al Rehab Restaurant is perfect for Umrah pilgrims or travelers who wish to eat mindfully — nourishing both body and soul. 🕊️ Personal tip: Arrive a bit early before peak dining hours to enjoy the salad bar and the serene ambiance at its best.

I’m currently staying at Intercontinental Makkah for ten days. The room is comfortable, clean, and very well maintained. The hotel itself is peaceful and beautifully managed. The staff deserve special appreciation — their hospitality truly stands out. I would especially like to mention Mr. Salman, Mr. Itehad, Mr. Abdullah, Mr. Kamal, Mr. Abdul Rahman Sultan, and Mr. Mortaz, mohammad traibia ,Mr Imran, Kamal and Emed for their exceptional service, warmth, and constant attentiveness. They have made my stay very pleasant and comfortable with their kind attitude and professionalism. The breakfast spread is delicious and offers good variety; however, it would be wonderful to see more changes in the menu each day for long-staying guests. Overall, an excellent stay with wonderful service and hospitality. Highly recommended. 🌿

Anmar at the concierge / reception was simply fantastic! His attention to detail, care and diligence made for a smooth check-in experience after a long transit into Makkah for my family and I. Anmar was extremely attentive and highly organised with my bookings, and made our stay at Dar Al Tawhid Intercontinental a truly fantastic experience. Anmar is an asset to the IHG group. Excellent work and thank you, Anmar! Salman and Traibia at Al Tayebat Restaurant are phenomenal! The service they provided to me and my family has been simply exceptional, consistent with the quality expected of a high-end hotel like the Dar Al Tawhid Intercontinental. Excellent hosting. We thoroughly relished our breakfast experience at Taybat Restaurant. The ambiance was impeccably curated, with meticulous attention to detail and an exceptionally organised setup. The culinary offerings were sublime, showcasing exquisite flavours and impeccable presentation. The hospitality team was extraordinarily courteous and professional; Salman, in particular, exemplified outstanding service, going above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was delightful and memorable, always serving with a radiant smile. The restaurant's strategic location offered a perfect vantage point, complemented by a breathtaking panoramic view. We extend our sincere gratitude to Salman and the entire Ittehad team for crafting such a wonderful experience.

One can't argue that its location is the best, sending the guests straight into the Haram yard and Gate 74, and opposite to the hotel are two souqs. The room is sparklingly clean and good amenities. I was upgraded from City view to Haram view, which is appreciated. Service is okay, no issues with attitude or behavior. They have a prayer hall, in case needed on a floor above Mezzanine (PR floor), that well stocked with bottled water. Giving 4 star because of slow wifi.

We have arrived for Umrah. We were greeted by Ms from guest relations. What a wonderful service, great English and professionalism. We truly felt welcomed. My husband normally opts Address in this location but I insisted to stay at darul towheed intercontinental He was genuinely surprised and liked everything. The rooms very spacious, view is great, mattress and bed in general is great. Mosque at the hotel is spacious and restaurant for breakfast is offering great choice of food at decent price. From Service Team Mr. Salman was Extremely helpful and very professional with Smile .We will come back again in sha Allah and looking forward to staying at your hotel in the Future .
