InterContinental Doha - the City, an IHG Hotel

I recently stayed at this hotel and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming. A big thank you to the housekeeping team for keeping everything spotless throughout my stay, and to the reception staff for their friendly and efficient service. I also want to appreciate the valet team for always being quick, courteous, and helpful — they made coming and going incredibly smooth. A special shout-out to Abbas, Saifullah, and Willila for their outstanding assistance. I had an issue with the washer/dryer, and they responded immediately and fixed it right away with professionalism and a great attitude. Their prompt support truly made my stay more comfortable. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service, comfort, and a team that really cares about its guests. I’ll definitely be returning!

I had a long stay at the InterContinental Doha The City and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The rooms are spacious, modern, and extremely comfortable — offering great views and a relaxing atmosphere after a long workday. The hotel’s facilities are excellent; the gym is well-equipped, the pool area is clean and quiet, and the breakfast options are diverse and delicious. A special thanks to the Club Lounge team — Purity, May, and Apuing — for their outstanding hospitality. They truly made my stay memorable with their professionalism, warm smiles, and exceptional service every day. Their kindness and attention to detail represent the best of InterContinental’s standards. However, a few areas could use some improvement. The dinner selection at the Club Lounge was below expectations compared to other InterContinental properties I’ve stayed at — the variety and quantity of food could be enhanced to better match the brand’s premium reputation. Additionally, there were several occasions when I returned from work in the evening to find that my room had not been cleaned yet, which required me to request housekeeping service manually. Considering it was a long-term stay, I expected more consistency in daily room servicing. Overall, it’s still one of the best hotels in Doha for comfort and service, and I truly appreciate the effort of the wonderful staff, especially the Club Lounge team. With small improvements in housekeeping scheduling and evening food offerings, this hotel can easily be a perfect 5-star experience.

Their service is consistently exceptional. They are attentive without ever being intrusive, always ready to bring anything you might need, often before you’ve even thought to ask. Whether it’s a fresh cup of coffee, a special request, or simply checking in to make sure you are enjoying your meal, they handle everything with kindness and professionalism. What truly sets them apart is the level of care they put into every interaction. Alham du Lillah, I have good experience. I am a house wife and usually travel with my husband who is joining meetings outside and I stay back in the room. I have stayed in lot many hotels world wide and found this hotel extremely good. Especially Desk Manage Ms Jamila reception was very nice. She helped us a lot and gave us good service and good room. Moreover ladies for room service and cleaning were very good especially Ms Jovia and Thiri. They manage my room well and good shape in minute. I externally recommend Ms Jamila for better promotion. Had such an amazing dining experience! The seafood was the star of the meal — the grilled fish and prawns were perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The sushi platter was fresh, colorful, and definitely one of the highlights. The mains were hearty and satisfying, especially the Nasi Goreng with eggs and the grilled chicken. And the mango dessert was not only delicious but came with this cool dry-ice effect that made it even more fun. The drinks were refreshing, especially the mint cooler! Overall, great food, generous portions, and a really enjoyable atmosphere. Definitely a place I’d come back to. A huge thank you to our amazing kitchen staff and service staff! The rooms are a bit old for a 5 stars hotel. But the service is excellent. Erika was very helpful and attended us every morning. She understood our concern about the room issues and acted upon really quick. Very nice lady with positive attitude.

After checking out and heading to the airport, I realised that I had accidentally left my gold chain in the room. I immediately contacted the hotel, and thanks to God’s grace and the incredible support from the hotel staff and the Lost & Found team, my chain was safely recovered. A special thank you to Dhan, Altaf, and Omar (Bellboy) for their prompt assistance, honesty, and professionalism throughout the process.
