InterContinental Dominica Cabrits Resort & Spa by IHG

We had an amazing stay at the Intercontinental. Everything felt new and spotless — especially the bathrooms and bedrooms. The food was excellent with both Dominican and international options, plus live music every night. Room service was quick, the pool area was clean, and the hotel even provided bug spray in each room. Breakfast was high quality with lots to choose from. The spa was outstanding and very reasonably priced, and the gym was modern and well-equipped. Highly recommend!

The entire leadership staff, especially Vernel, were so helpful and kind when just about everything with our travel plans got messed up. Regime changed in Venezuela? No problem! The property is beautiful, plenty large to have your own space, incredibly nice views, the rooms are in great condition and large. Good snorkeling. Altogether a great experience and a great place!

We arrived at the hotel after our airline lost three of our bags, and the staff could not have been more compassionate or professional. They ensured a quick check-in and even provided us with clean clothing so we wouldn’t have to sleep in the same clothes—a truly thoughtful gesture. The front desk team was exceptional, doing everything possible to make our stay comfortable. The hotel itself is beautiful, with immaculate grounds and sparkling pools. We arrived about a week before the International Festival, so it was quieter than usual, but the staff was fully prepared and attentive as if the hotel were full. The Creole restaurant had a great bar selection, and the Club Lounge offered plenty of fresh, delicious food. Our room was spotless, and housekeeping refreshed everything perfectly while we were out. The property is well located for both staying on-site and exploring nearby attractions. It’s a large resort, so a bit more signage would be helpful, but otherwise, our stay was ideal. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking exceptional service and a relaxing, well-maintained environment.

Exactly what you think an Intercontinental property should look like. The pool is huge. Small beach(rocky) but had a great dock you could walk out on and jump into the ocean(ladder included!). We had a beautiful room with an ocean view. Breakfast buffet had different items everyday with a really great selection. We ate outside the first day and there are cats/kittens roaming around and waiting for you to drop some food. I didn't particularly like that. |Although the bathroom is beautiful, I didn't like the lack of total privacy in the bathroom. There are shades but they don't complete block out what is going on inside the bathroom. If you are in mixed company, this is awkward.

Overall, this was a great experience in the country referred to as nature's island. The location is far from the airport with deep winding roads. Request a comfortable car to minimize the feeling of car sickness. The resort is beautiful with amenities like yoga, Pilates, sauna, and other spa stuff. There are several pools on the property and a ocean view within reach in a lovely atmosphere. We left the property and went to the market to enjoy the people and the culture then returned to the resort and took a dip in the jacuzzi. The rooms were clean, spacious and beautiful. The service was great and the staff very professional. Special shout out to the following staff for their warmth and accommodating personalities: Ekana, the masseuse, Vernel, the receptionist, Kellis, the housekeeper with the beautiful natural hair, Cashma, the waitress at Kreyol restaurant, drivers, Teddy and Devin.

Beautiful hotel, excellent service. Great pools, spa and gym. Rooms were lovely. Food was very tasty, some of the portions were on the smaller size, but excellent quality. The gardens and grounds were absolutely beautiful. Fantastic yoga instructor, bartender, head gardener, spa staff and front office. Looking forward to returning.

We loved our stay at InterContinental Dominica and will definitely be coming back. The location is perfect, just 5 minutes from the national park, with easy access into the water and very good snorkeling right off the shore (we even saw a turtle while snorkeling). The staff were extremely professional, friendly, and welcoming, always happy to help with tips on hikes, snorkeling spots, and activities. The hotel has excellent facilities: two well-maintained tennis courts (free to use), a great spa with morning yoga, sauna, jacuzzi, and massages, plus a large pool and various games, including pool. On Sundays there’s an amazing lunch buffet with plenty of local and international dishes, delicious desserts, and entertainment with local dancers, and on Friday we enjoyed live music at the bar. They were also very accommodating with a gluten-free diet, offering gluten-free bread and cakes, which we really appreciated.

The resort property is beautiful with tons of amenities. There were not many other guests staying at the hotel when we visited so we felt as if we had everything to ourselves. The rooms are spacious, clean, and quiet. The hotel is close to Cabrits National Park and is a good place to stay to explore sites in the northern half of the island (when you aren't enjoying the amenities on-site). The dining options at the resort could be bit better but overall is good.
