We had a wonderfully relaxing holiday at Intercontinental Koh Samui in a beachfront villa. The location of the hotel is remote but with amazing views, numerous pools & it never felt crowded. We loved our walk to breakfast each morning - up the stairs through the jungle & across the suspension bridge. Breakfast options were extensive & nothing was a bother. All staff , from the wait staff to the chefs were all very friendly - shout out to Match who looked after us at breakfast . It was nice at the end of the day to message via the app for a buggy (very quick response times !) to take us to the club lounge for drinks and canapés each night. A big shout out to Lisa & work experience employee, Match. They both delivered exceptional customer service and were very responsive, friendly and helpful. |We look forward to coming back to Intercontinental Koh Samui - fabulous service & a beautiful part of the world with amazing staff who are all so warm & friendly.

We had a truly memorable trip to IC Samui, the best few nights in our 10+ years of marriage. The purpose of this getaway was to take a break from the stress of parenting our lively daughter back home, and it turned out to be an incredible four-night retreat. The moment we arrived at our room, all my stress melted away.||We stayed in a private pool villa suite, which was spacious and beautifully designed. Having visited this hotel 13 years ago, I expected it to show some age, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well-maintained everything was. The facilities and practical elements were in great condition, and the bedding was exceptional—I slept so well every night.||The service was top-notch, with all staff being incredibly friendly and attentive. All my harsh ad-hoc requests were fulfilled promptly with sincerity. I made a last-minute request for a birthday dinner for my wife, hoping for a beachside private dining experience, but I hadn’t given enough notice. Despite this, the concierge went above and beyond, even reaching out to competitor hotels to secure the best table for us. The result was a fantastic dining experience we’ll never forget.||The food at Amber was exceptional as well. I particularly loved their breakfast, which featured a few special items each day, and the beverages were among the best I’ve had at any hotel. While the hotel felt mobile, the island itself is small and easy to navigate. We rented a car (though Grab is also an option) and could explore anywhere with ease. ||The atmosphere of the hotel was perfect for a couple’s getaway. It truly felt like paradise, and I left with tears in my eyes, not wanting to leave. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a romantic and rejuvenating escape.

I was able to relax very well here. I particularly enjoyed the beautiful views of the sea and the island's nature. The entire complex is very well maintained. My room was clean, very comfortable and offered a beautiful view of the sea. I ate at the Flames beach restaurant on 2 evenings. The food there is fantastic and all the staff are very friendly. There was also a fire show on the beach. The gym is located on the beach and is unfortunately a bit small. I would have liked a larger selection of sports equipment here. The massage in the hotel spa was very relaxing and the staff were friendly. At breakfast I was always greeted in a very friendly manner by Khun Arty and Khun Peem. I will gladly vacation here again. The hotel is fantastic and offers the highest level of comfort and the best service.

Stayed here for work. The resort is really nice and our room was large with a balcony and had a great view over the sea. The food I. The restaurant was tasty and the staff were friendly and efficient. Lots of wildlife around and we saw a couple of (harmless) snakes - one on our balcony and one at the entrance to the lobby. The staff were great in catching and later releasing them. Cocktails and nibbles are in served every day from 5-7 pm. The three downsides are: 1) it is built on the side of a steep hill and so some villas are up a steep pathway. This means buggies are needed and is inconvenient if you leave something in the room. 2) our room was fortunately attached to the lobby annex so was only a 1 minute walk to the lobby. However, the planning was not good - Thailand is a tropical country so heavy afternoon rain and thunderstorms are not unusual. There was no continuous cover from our room to the lobby, only cover along part of the corridor. Incredibly, the last 10 metres from the corridor to the lobby is completely uncovered so you either get a bit wet or you need to try to attract the attention of the staff for an umbrella. 3) the location is quite remote which may suit some. But it essentially means that unless you want to pay for transport to a nearby town for a massage or local meal, you are somewhat confined to the resort. As I said, this may suit a lot of guests.

Excellent service all round. I stayed in a private pool beach villa which is located only a few steps from the beach as the name suggests. The villa was spacious and very comfortable. It was a fair distance from the hotel lobby, restaurant, bar and lounge area but a buggy service was available to take you to and from the room to the central area. There was also an option of climbing over 300 steps including crossing a suspension bridge with great ocean views which I liked doing. The breakfast buffet was very good with a great selection of choices. There were amazing sunset views from the lounge where a good selection of canapés and drinks were provided. All in all a great choice for a relaxing beach holiday.

I had such a wonderful stay here! They kindly upgraded my room to an ocean view, which gave me the perfect spot to enjoy a stunning sunset right from my terrace. The staff were all super friendly and helpful throughout my stay—especially Hunter, who was incredibly welcoming and really great at his job. Pompam made check-out quick and smooth, which I truly appreciated. The design of the hotel is beautiful in every detail. I love how well the architecture blends seamlessly with nature—it feels peaceful and thoughtfully planned. Highly recommended! I’d definitely come back again.

The staff were consistently fantastic. From reception to bar staff, club lounge staff, restaurant staff and housekeeping. Someone is helping with training to make the customer experience exceptional. Our room was very spacious and the pools so refreshing. All drivers from golf buggies to the shuttle bus around island were great. Only improvement would be to provide elevator access to rooms for aging legs. Keep up your good work and we will see you again early next year..

Location: Perched high with uninterrupted 180° ocean views and a peaceful, crowd-free beachfront. The only downside is limited ocean access due to a coral reef. Villas and rooms are well spaced for privacy and quiet. Rooms: Spacious, clean, and well maintained with classic attractive interiors. Not new, but very comfortable. Atmosphere: Beautiful, calm and subdued (during our low season visit), with plenty of poolside lounge chair/cabana choices and two dining-room options. Value: Excellent for a 5-star resort. Spa treatments are pricey but comparable to other international menus. Some of the best massages and facials we've ever had - consistently outstanding across several family members. Service: 10/10! Every staff member — from front desk to housekeeping — went above and beyond. Amenities: Impeccably maintained pools (six in total), restrooms, and all public areas. Daily beach grooming. No mustiness despite the heavy rains and timber interiors. The resort always felt warm and serene.
