We had 7 nights in a standard room. The room was very large, well laid out, and housekeeping did a wonderful job at keeping the room immaculate. They also did a great turn down service each evening. All the staff were very professional, always willing to have a conversation and look after you. The location we thought was excellent. It was nice to be in a quiet village and away from the busy areas on the other side of the island. This may not be everyone's choice, but it was ours. Perched on the hillside gives some great views, and the golf carts take you to your room, spa, and beach. We ate at Amber and Flame restaurants, both offer a vast selection of food and drinks, and the quality of the food is excellent, best wagyu steak I have had. Drinks are not cheap, but most hotels of this caliber aren't anyway. The restaurant staff are very friendly and attentive. If you want a cheap local thai meal there are 2 good restaurants in the village. The spa was expensive, but we did have good massages, the staff are very good and the spa rooms and surroundings are truly wonderful.|The pool at the beach is busy with lots of kids, not our thing, so we spent most swim time at the adult pool near the Amber restaurant. If you want to be on the West Coast, this hotel is a very good option. |

My partner and I celebrated our anniversary/engagement at this hotel and the whole experience was exceptional. We visited in June and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Our trip was primarily about relaxing and the intercontinental got that spot on. Excellent food at both restaurants, really friendly staff, everything was incredibly easy with the concierge app and the staff would drive you around in a buggy at the drop of a hat! Our highlights were happy hour at the pool bar and getting massages at the spa (we booked in for 2.5 hours of therapy!) Don’t let the rainy season scare you.

Don’t hesitate to stay here! The resort itself is beautiful and so private. There are only 79 rooms and so even with 100% occupancy you can find a private place to relax. We stayed here for 5 nights in a deluxe King room with club lounge access and from the moment we arrived we were made to feel as though we were the most important guests there. |I would normally name specific staff members but on this occasion I want to say that every single staff member was a stand out and they all deserve equal recognition. The management were always present, mingling with the guests and constantly checking in on us/asking for feedback and generally making sure everything ran as smoothly as possible. |Our room was incredible- spacious, clean, modern and pure luxury with an amazing view out to the ocean. |There were so many lovely touches in the room and treats left for you to discover each night. Thank you !|There were plenty of activities offered each day. We enjoyed daily yoga/pilates/acqua aerobics and kayaking and there were plenty of activities set up for children families with children. |The resort offers 6 pools to choose from and one is an adults only infinity pool which is great. Buggy’s are constantly available to take you around the resort so it doesn’t matter that it’s quite spread out. |If you see a negative review about this place totally ignore it, it’s exceptional!

Excellent all round, from the staff to the food to the rooms. We visited with friends and we all had beachfront pool villas. They were excellent, well appointed, large and with a good size pool. The staff we excellent. The property is built on a step hill. We thought that would be a problem but were pleasantly surprised. The buggie transport service they run is excellent and it was easy to get from one place to the other if need be. Also walking up and down the hill was pleasant as well. The property is in a remote area so if you want to go to a town or markets its quite a way. We did a couple of times over the week we were there and found it easy to book a Grab (Uber) who arrived for pick up very quickly. The hotel also runs a shuttle service daily as well. There is a beach out from which isn't really swimmable (well not for me anyway) but nice to have a stroll along. There are many pools to choose from. There is one adult pool which is beautiful but unfortunately was often fairly busy (maybe in need of more loungers as there is plenty of space). All round service was fantastic in ALL areas of the resort. This place is obviously managed well. The food offering is wide and varied and all of a very good standard. Breakfast is spectacular. We had Club rooms and enjoyed the Club benefits. All and all, we were all very happy and will be happy to return.

An absolutely marvelous resort hotel located right by the sea. It really makes you feel like you are on holiday once you arrive at the resort. Overall service was great however the rooms are slightly dated, and the location of the hotel itself is quite far at about 1 hour's drive from most shops/bars/restaurants on the island. Otherwise we had a fantastic stay and I would certainly recommend for at least 2-3 nights.

Stayed here for work. The resort is really nice and our room was large with a balcony and had a great view over the sea. The food I. The restaurant was tasty and the staff were friendly and efficient. Lots of wildlife around and we saw a couple of (harmless) snakes - one on our balcony and one at the entrance to the lobby. The staff were great in catching and later releasing them. Cocktails and nibbles are in served every day from 5-7 pm. The three downsides are: 1) it is built on the side of a steep hill and so some villas are up a steep pathway. This means buggies are needed and is inconvenient if you leave something in the room. 2) our room was fortunately attached to the lobby annex so was only a 1 minute walk to the lobby. However, the planning was not good - Thailand is a tropical country so heavy afternoon rain and thunderstorms are not unusual. There was no continuous cover from our room to the lobby, only cover along part of the corridor. Incredibly, the last 10 metres from the corridor to the lobby is completely uncovered so you either get a bit wet or you need to try to attract the attention of the staff for an umbrella. 3) the location is quite remote which may suit some. But it essentially means that unless you want to pay for transport to a nearby town for a massage or local meal, you are somewhat confined to the resort. As I said, this may suit a lot of guests.

I had such a wonderful stay here! They kindly upgraded my room to an ocean view, which gave me the perfect spot to enjoy a stunning sunset right from my terrace. The staff were all super friendly and helpful throughout my stay—especially Hunter, who was incredibly welcoming and really great at his job. Pompam made check-out quick and smooth, which I truly appreciated. The design of the hotel is beautiful in every detail. I love how well the architecture blends seamlessly with nature—it feels peaceful and thoughtfully planned. Highly recommended! I’d definitely come back again.

Our stay was in Villa 630 from 8 to 10 August 2025. We are an IHG member. We booked a Resort Classic Ocean View with no Club Lounge Access, as we had an annual club access already. We were upgraded to an Ocean Horizon King Suite which was originally not the room we wanted to try. However, the Ocean Horizon King Suite made us very relaxed, as it was so spacious and functional that we could sleep very tightly. We have to thank Khun Jonathan and Khun Donut who took care of us upon arrival. We need to mention also Khun Som-O and Khun Eden who served us the beautiful afternoon Tea in the Club Lounge. Lastly, we can't miss mentioning Khun Toey, the Asst. F&B manager, and Khun Beauty, who were very helpful during breakfast hours. We were also treated very professionally by Khun Kae at the Flames Restaurant for our dinner on the 9th of August, 2025. All in all, it was a very private and personalized attention. Thank you for your care and attention. Rapassak and Sermsak
