InterContinental Koh Samui Resort by IHG

This is a magical place. The setting and facilities are just incredible. What really makes a stay here so special is the quality of service. The team here are amazing and each and every one of them should be proud of what they achieve every day. The attention to detail, level of cleanliness and the friendly welcome was second to none. We have to thank the Club Lounge team for looking after us and keeping the drinks flowing as we enjoyed watching the sunset. Thanks to Som O, Ing, Eden and Atty. Breakfast was a real treat and again the team worked so hard to look after all the guests. I could go on but it would be a very long review!!|Thank you all so much x

I’m currently staying at the InterContinental Samui (ocean horizon suite 628)and honestly, I think this resort is underrated. It’s one of the nicest properties I’ve ever visited.||The views are absolutely breathtaking, especially from the adults-only pool high up on the hillside where you can take in both the sparkling sea and the lush, forested island scenery. The resort layout is perfect – varied and not too spread out – with an efficient buggy service that makes getting around easy. There are several small pools near the villas that feel very private and secluded, plus a beautiful beach pool with great bar service.||If you want true carefree relaxation, I highly recommend booking Club access. It made our stay feel completely seamless, with delicious lunch options, afternoon tea, and an excellent cocktail and canapé selection in the evening.||We also stayed at the Ritz-Carlton during this trip (see my other review), but for me, that property felt too disjointed and awkward to move around. The InterContinental has a wonderful flow between spaces like the sunset bar, reception, and restaurants that makes everything feel more connected and easy.||Yes, it’s farther from the action of Chaweng, but honestly, there are only so many times you’ll want to go there. The hotel provides a free shuttle service if you need it, so it never felt inconvenient.||The rooms are very comfortable, spacious and practical. My only negative is it feels like a refresh of the room would be welcomed due its age, however they are still luxurious, well styled and very clean.||Overall, this has been the ultimate relaxing getaway, with fabulous service and a beautiful setting. I can’t recommend it enough!

We had an amazing experience staying here for 3 nights. The staff, service, and cleanliness were all absolutely top-notch. The staff, in particular, were some of the sweetest we’ve ever come across, always going out of their way to make us feel welcome. The food was excellent, and the Aer Bar offered a stunning sunset view that made each evening unforgettable. We didn’t even feel the need to step out of the resort as there was so much to enjoy right here, from cycling to kayaking and more. The property itself is a perfect blend of comfort and activities. If you’re looking for a truly relaxing holiday, this is the place to book!

I had an enjoyable stay, and the lobby sea-view was absolutely incredible! The entire hospitality team was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making my visit very special. I would especially like to extend my sincere thanks and compliments to the lady with the short hairstyle who assisted me at the Intercontinental Club during breakfast and lunch times. Her hospitality, attentiveness, and attention to detail significantly enhanced my stay. One memorable moment was when I was working on my laptop in the club area, and she noticed I was having difficulty eating a whole apple. She thoughtfully sliced it for me, making it much easier to enjoy while working. Small touches like this made my holiday extremely memorable and meaningful. Thank you!

Although the resort is a little far from the airport and may feel slightly remote, trust me—it’s absolutely worth it. The moment you step inside, the breathtaking views make up for everything.||The property is spotless, beautifully maintained, and offers the perfect atmosphere to unwind. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special mention goes to Mr. Donut from the reception team, who assisted us with our booking. He was truly delightful—gracious, attentive, and made us feel right at home.|Since we were celebrating our anniversary, Donut went above and beyond to make it memorable. He welcomed us with refreshing drinks and couple wristbands, upgraded our room to a stunning ocean-view suite, arranged complimentary breakfasts for our stay, and even offered special discounts at the restaurant and spa.||As we had arrived in Koh Samui well before check-in, Donut and his team thoughtfully provided a waiting room until our suite was ready. Every detail of their service made our experience extra special.

My partner and I celebrated our anniversary/engagement at this hotel and the whole experience was exceptional. We visited in June and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Our trip was primarily about relaxing and the intercontinental got that spot on. Excellent food at both restaurants, really friendly staff, everything was incredibly easy with the concierge app and the staff would drive you around in a buggy at the drop of a hat! Our highlights were happy hour at the pool bar and getting massages at the spa (we booked in for 2.5 hours of therapy!) Don’t let the rainy season scare you.

This is our 4th time here, and it is a consistent excellent experience. Thank you to Jan, Lisa, Four, Chef Berm, the drivers Pete & Duke and all the rest of the amazing staff, who always go out of their way to take care of us and make us feel comfortable. This is truly our home away from home every time we come. The care and the level of hospitality is beyond anything we have ever experienced. The staff is always 2 steps ahead, it’s like they can read our minds! This resort is an amazing place to relax & disconnect. We can’t wait to come back and disconnect!

An amazing stay in a beautiful location. Probably the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in, from the stunning sunset views, the beautiful big private villa in the palm trees to the friendly staff (especially Beauty at breakfast who looked after us so well). We loved the buggy to the beach and the water sports centre - we used the paddle boards and kayaks and bikes every day. The walk along the pier was pretty special too. We’ve left with some amazing memories of a small part of paradise.
