InterContinental Marine Drive-Mumbai, an IHG Hotel

As a long term IHG and Ambassador member, I’m always grateful for the high quality consistency across the Intercontinental brand. My most recent trip was to Mumbai and I selected the Intercontinental as my home base to explore this dynamic city. The Head Concierge, Parsit Singh Kalsi assisted me weeks before I arrived as I planned my trip and was instrumental in ensuring my needs were met during my stay. Based on my requests, he scheduled tours across my stay which were all 5 star experiences. Further, he assisted with trip related tasks which went above and beyond. He is an exceptional member of the IHG team. I was upgraded to a junior suite overlooking Marine Drive and started and ended each day enjoying that amazing view. The room amenities are generous. The WiFi and AC work well throughout the property. I appreciated the food offerings across the 3 restaurants. The staff in food services are well trained and professional. A special thanks to LS server Justin for his daily interactions. This property is a classic benchmark for the Intercontinental portfolio: truly a gem in the IHG crown.

My stay in January 2025 at this hotel was wonderful. I chose this hotel for its excellent location and good reputation for service and I was not disappointed. The hotel room was extremely well appointed and the service provided right from check-in to departure was outstanding. I had ordered food from the L&S Bistro. They made good recommendations and delivered the food and drinks in a timely manner. Most importantly, the food taste and presentation was very good. The breakfast experience was solid. L&S Bistro had great choices and the service was very good. I wished they offered complementary bottled water upon request during the included breakfast buffet (they do provide plenty bottles it in the rooms, so why not at breakfast) Overall, The experience was excellent.

My husband and I visited Mumbai for two nights and had an incredible stay at The Intercontinental Marine Drive. From our welcome to our departure, the hospitality from the staff was top notch! Fahad helped us check in and did so as we sat in the lobby (very lovely since we had been traveling for over 24 hours) quickly and with a friendly demeanor. The hotel is nice and spacious with all the amenities you need, including the restaurants, pool and rooftop bar. Our room was very spacious with an ocean view (it was wonderful) and a big bathroom and bed. We slept very comfortably which was important for us especially being so tired. The servers in the restaurants and bars were kind and attentive. And everyone at reception was incredibly kind and helpful with all our questions. We highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Mumbai!

We stayed for just three days but the service was the best. The staff were so friendly and always there to help us out. It just took them 10 minutes to check us in. ||The staff at the breakfast were so friendly and always on site ready to serve us. Their omelette was the best and the kids really loved the way the staff presented their waffles and pancakes. ||Our rooms would be cleaned properly and they would always stock up our bathroom with the necessities. We also had the most amazing view of the marine drive. ||We also tried one of the hotel restaurants and the food was amazing along with the service at the restaurant. ||Overall we definitely enjoyed our stay and wished we had more days in Mumbai so that we could fully utilize all the hotel facilities. I would definitely recommend anyone planning to visit India to stay in this hotel. It wasn’t too packed and the services were amazing.

I spent 4 days and enjoyed myself immensely. The location is on the Queens necklace and is a 5 minute walk to Churchgate, the meeting spot for all of the local food tours. Service from the breakfast crew, front desk, maintenance and doorman was excellent. Everyone was warm, friendly and kind. Small touches like providing each room with paper clips and rubber bands, proved to be quite helpful. The thoughtfulness on how this hotel is run, makes it very special. Highly recommended!

I spent four days here when visiting Mumbai for the cricket International between India and England. Whilst England lost both games, feelings were mollified by the sensational experience at this hotel. The rooms are fantastic and have some amazing views over the bay. We were only three minutes walk from the stadium the cricket. The upstairs bar is a delight and Rajaf was a particularly attentive waiter who deserves every compliment. At the other end of the building, the concierge is first class. PARGAT was able to arrange an impromptu round of golf at a nearby club which normally does not take guests without a member. Nothing was too much trouble for him! The rest of the staff are also extremely polite and helpful. The egg monitor at breakfast contributed to a great experience first thing and the food generally was delicious.

Great location, F& B and the evening Lobby manager yesterday was very helpful. We weren't well and he went out of his way to ensure that our requests were entertained. The coffee shop ambience in the balcony is great. Salads, drink and Thai curry was great. The main meal took over 45 mind to serve and we were greatly delayed. Taste was good.

This was my second stay at the Intercontinental Marine Drive, and once again I had a very comfortable and pleasant stay in this newly built hotel in the art deco style common to the heritage district on Marine Drive where it stands. I chose one of the ocean view suites which has a curved wall of windows that wrap around the front and side of the building, offering amazing views. The suite was large and luxuriously appointed and very quiet at night. I loved being able to cross the street easily and walk on Marine Drive’s large pedestrian walkway that runs several miles along the water. Hotel is close walk to some banks and restaurants and is a zero-tourist zone; so no hawkers! It’s a great location to get to the airport and other parts of the city without the insane traffic. Also the staff is terrific: special shout-outs to Fahad and Aditi in Reception, Amborish in Housekeeping and Prerna in the restaurant. Also: I forgot jewelry in the safe, and they had found it within 10 minutes of my departure and phoned the cab driver. i had no idea the staff had gone to the extent of getting the driver’s number. Their attention to detail and amazing teamwork are like nothing I’ve experienced anywhere.
