InterContinental Miramar Panama by IHG

The Intercontinental Hotel on Miramar plaza is just as it sounds out of this world. I stay here a few times a year the entire stay is accommodating and nice. They welcome you with a smile and are always willing to help you with anything they can to make your stay that much better. I have stayed on 13, 15, and 18th floor I’m sure every room is spectacular of course. The bar staff is awesome, restaurant atmosphere is great, the pool is amazing (big, clean, and warm), I love coming here I’m sad that I’m purchasing my own place here so I won’t be staying at the hotel very much. When I have people come visit I will ensure to have them stay at the InterContinental for sure.

Nice hotel, with excellent service, however not what one would expect from an Intercontinental Hotel. Our room had not been cleaned thoroughly. There was a huge dribble of coffee down the entire side of the sink. The housekeeper could not have missed that! Also, when I moved the easy chair in order to get access to the floor lamp, it was obvious that the chair had not been moved and cleaned underneath, because there was a hairclip under it. We did have a great ocean view. There was no electric tea kettle in the room but did have a safe and refrigerator . Upon early checkout, they offered us coffee and tea in the lobby, plus a bag breakfast.

The staff is great! The restaurant has excellent food, and the atmosphere is excellent all around. The location and view from the room is great. The proximity to downtown town enables you to walk just|About anywhere and if your going somewhere too far to walk, the MOST we paid for over was just u see $4. Highly recommended! Also recommend the club pass and sign up for IHG rewards. Well worth the benefit. Plus, signing up is freeeeee!

We generally book more modest accomadations, but this was an anniversary treat! It was truly a wonderful experience. We were given a room with an incredible view. A most gracious gentleman name Alejandro showed us to our room, and opened the drapes to show us the stunning view. The entire hotel and lobby are beautiful. It has a bustling, international feel to it. We loved sipping juice in the lobby bar and just people watching. The pool area is also beautiful. I would love to stay here again!

Stayed here 4 years ago and again last week. Still no improvements since the last stay. It is a brand hotel, but rooms are so dated. Creaking bed, old and tired, scuffed furniture, missing door stoppers with mirrored wardrobe right behind the door! Almost smashed the mirror! Bad, messy workmanship on repairs, definitely not professional. Dark rooms. Carpet that is coming loose. Can’t change the language on the TV. The accommodation at a budget hotel like the holiday express is far better than this. Not staying here again ever! The two stars are for friendly service and good location. Zero stars for the rooms.

We were disappointed with this hotel. I had booked a Club Level room. There was no Club check in. It took a while to check in at the main desk as there was only one member of staff present. |Our room was on the 20th floor. As soon as we stepped out of the lift the smell of damp hit us. The room was ok although it was difficult sometimes to see the view as the windows were dirty or running with condensation. Our clothes became damp in the room. The room had not been cleaned properly. We found toe nail clippings on the floor. There was little information about what the hotel had to offer. |We had access to the Club Level|Lounge which had free snacks and soft drinks all day and free alcohol from 6-8pm. It was a nice experience but like the rest of the hotel soulless and under staffed with no dress code.|Breakfast was nice. The gym ok. Predictably, I had to queue to check out and ask if someone else could be brought onto the front desk as my transfer had been waiting for some time.|I would recommend staying in the Old Town where there is more going on.

Service is wonderful, as most Intercontinental Hotel's I've been to; however, for the cost, it's a bit outdated. They are slowly renovating, so hopefully my next stay will be more memorable. Again, the staff is top notch!

Our first time staying at this hotel and we were very pleased. The staff provided great service during our stay. They were helpful and accommodating and always friendly. The breakfast buffet had many tasty items and provided different options daily. We were upgraded to a premium King room and the beds were the most comfortable I've slept in at a hotel. This hotel is a true representation of the IHG brand my husband and I love for its luxury and quality offerings.
