Overall a very nice hotel with a perfect location for tourists. The Metro connects underground, there are multiple food options without leaving the complex, and the common areas are beautiful. The room was clean and large, while somewhat outdated. Wished the shower was larger and that there were USB charging ports. The staff were fantastic! So friendly and helpful. Anthony at the bar (which was a highlight) was particularly wonderful - fun, kind, attentive, and we always looked forward to seeing him again. Excellent cocktails every time. This will be our go-to hotel in Montreal!

This is a great hotel. |The staff tries to really help and make you feel welcome. They were so kind and took care of us. For instance, we brought our dog and he was eating out of paper plates, so the maid brought us dog bowls for him!|The concierges know so many details and can get you around the city whether by uber or metro, and were able to get us reservations when the online forums said they had no tables. It was our anniversary and it did not disappoint: the concierge told the restaurant and they had a free dessert for us! The hotel also had a suprise for us!|Breakfast is excellent / however we did order a la carte.|The room was very quiet.|If you enjoy swimming and working out, the gym and pool are lovely, and there is a terrace off of the pool for sunbathing. The pool is the perfect temperature.||This was our third time here and it will not be our last.

A great experience staying at the InterContinental, Montreal. Conveniently located in the heart of the city, the hotel is spick and span. The linen is fresh and the bathrooms sparkle. The coffee shop at the entrance is surprisingly reasonable on prices with bagels, croissants and wraps also being served. The hotel is conveniently connected to public transport with an exit leading right up to the underground metro rail. There is an abundance of budget friendly eateries in and around in the streets surrounding the area. Well deserving of 5 stars in every aspect.

Stayed for just one night post cruise. Had a room on 19th floor with king bed. I am amazed at the negative reviews, we found the hotel wonderful. We arrived at 9am well before check in but we were checked in and had access to our room. The bell staff had already taken our luggage so we could go and check out the city. The reception desk lady was lovely. So friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable with crisp white sheets and plenty of towels. We had a city view which was lovely and quiet. |Would I stay again? In a heartbeat.

Stayed at the Intercontinental Montreal for the third time and as ever it was a wonderful experience. A special shout out to Larry and Johnathan who were excellent hosts in the club lounge and who made the stay that extra bit special. It was also wonderful how they took special care to ensure the food available took into account my wife’s dietary needs. Would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Montreal.

The Intercontinental Montréal was home for 3 nights while on a recent trip to Canada and impressed with the hotel and it’s central location.||It’s easily accessible from Gare Centrale de Montréal which is less than 10 minutes away if walking. Checkin was quick and soon in my room which was on the 14th floor facing the rear of the hotel so it was pretty quiet and no noise at all which was great. ||The room was a good size, very spacious, the king bed very comfortable with white crisp linens , I slept very well. I agree with previous comments that it feels a tad dated but it is holding up well apart from the odd scuff mark here and there. There was a desk should you need to work, a large screen TV, fridge and coffee machine, everything you could want in a hotel. The wifi was fast and easy to connect to . 2 bottles of complimentary waters which were replaced every day was a nice touch.||The bathroom was a decent size with a separate shower and tub. The towels were soft and luxurious and the toiletries of a high standard and smelt lovely. There was 2 separate wardrobes so plenty of space to hang your clothes ( lots of hangers too )||Breakfast was not included in my rate and was $35 p.p. which I thought was very reasonable for a fancy hotel. The hotel bar, Sarah B has oysters on a Wednesday and Thursday at a great price - $9 for 6 / $16 for 12 . There was also selected cocktails for $10 which were well made too !||All of the staff which I encountered were great , happy to speak English or French and helpful with anything which you might have needed. The location is in an excellent location, you can walk to the metro, the old city / port and numerous nearby sights, bars and restaurants. I would not hesitate to stay here again when next in the city.

Google
Location is great if you need to be in the city. An absurd about of homeless around this area. Not the hotels fault. If I didn't need to be in this area for a conference I wouldn't travel to this area. Hotel is great though. Great air conditioning in the hotel and the rooms. Service has been great. Great location to walk to a lot of the touristy areas.

Google
Super clean room, slightly dated bathroom but it did the job. The bar was lively after hours and the staff were helpful. Really close to Old Montreal, most things are walkable within 10 minutes that you want to see and anything else is a short Uber away.

Yelp
Intercontinental is an interesting blend of outdated retro style and crispness. Plush, velvety soft pink+baby blue wingback chairs and sofas decorate the concierge+lobby area with accessories and area rugs overflowing in those same colors. Along with the velvets, blues and pinks, corridors have like lacquered cherry panels, rooms have dark carpeting, curtains in the rooms are patterned and burgundy, there's a pool somewhere, a gym, the hotel's on-site rest'nt and a bar+lounge. Intercontinental also boasts a passageway past the main lobby area where if you take the elevators, will lead you down to the parking lot if you're parking your own car which costs less than valeting it. We used valet the first night, then the other 3 nights, we parked it ourselves. And there were many other folks who took advantage of having the convenience of that too. With its stunning location in Montréal, this hotel has (in my opinion) a top-notch rest'nt and also truly knows how to pamper its guests with their....... bedding. All hubs and I wanted to do on a late Christmas '24 afternoon was to slide into our tightly-tucked and perfectly-luxurious sheets in the room. The sheets are thick (but not off-putting), crisp, and white. They felt great! Staff we encountered, were pleasant and concierge services went above and beyond! Forget that this hotel's style is passé at its best, I really can't give this place less than high just because "this isn't my style". Hell, the fact that the bedding is incredibly sumptuous, our bathroom sink and shower had a wonderful flow and staff was more than accommodating, we don't mind returning. The only negative were more than a couple of crying kids here and there and parents doing diddly squat when their toddlers ran in the lobby.

Yelp
This was the first hotel I stayed at in Montreal- I booked this trip as well with Delta Vacations. I got a pretty great price on it for it being categorized as "5 stars" so I figured I would roll with it. I did not provide my IHG number (usually when you book 3rd party, they don't care about status, but sometimes if they realize your email matches they can link you that way) this time, but upon arrival, I did get a welcome letter, along with a drink coupon to use at the bar, which is always nice (pro tip, if you like Heineken, they got it on that cold draft). I got a low floor room, but it was spacious (I booked this room months ago- they always have so many room types its hard to keep up with). The shower was on the smaller side, but thankfully I was able to get in at out of it. The counter size, was fine for me (as I travel solo). There was also a soaking tub, but I did not utilize. The staff was friendly who I interacted with, and the grounds were well kept- however in terms of the previous complaints of things being dated- I have definitely seen worse, but I can see why there were remarks. But again, I had no issues for the room type I paid for. They do offer room service- but I did not get any. One of the really cool things about this place is the location. There is literally a metro stop underneath, along with the underground city. After realizing how easy the metro was to use, this was a huge selling point (as the Ritz, was a few block min from the metro). When I tried to book here the following week, the hotel was sold out, which I can see why. The hotel was nice and served its purpose. However, when compared to another 5 Star property, it personally fell just shy of that rating. But, if you want great location, lower prices, a quiet room, and access to lots of photo ops, this is a great choice indeed.

Yelp
Very nice hotel in the heart of old Montreal. Very close to the Notre Dame church and a very short drive to the port of old Montreal. It's also connected to a small shopping mall with some decent restaurants and stores. Staff are nice and the rooms are really good. They have a fancy restaurant in the hotel Osco. Just wish the elevators weren't so slow here but otherwise a very nice hotel in the heart of Old Montreal.

Yelp
I originally booked a Premium King room and since my room wasn't available at time of check-in, they gave me a Regular King on a higher floor; but, I didn't have much of a view (my room overlooked the hotel building). So, this wasn't equal to what I booked, since there's no point in being on the higher floors if you don't have the view of the port or the city. The room was clean and everything you might need was provided (shampoo, conditioner, body shampoo, q-tips, soap, towels, coffee, water). They provide room service upon your request and they respond to your requests in a timely fashion. The bed and the mattress were comfortable and I had a good night sleep. The gym, pool and wellness centre is on the 10th floor and the gym is open 24/7, but the pool is open 9-8 only which was a disappointment.

Yelp
Great location. Good service. The hotel can use some refreshing. It has been around for over forty years. The restaurant is decent. There is a breakfast buffet in the morning for $25 a person there's a café at the entrance with some decent food options. The gym is on the 10th floor and has weights as well as treadmills elliptical machines and stationary bicycles.

Yelp
L'hôtel est superbe! Des grands chambres, plein de salle de bain. Les concierges sont super gentils(illes). Super proche de deux stations de métro et plein de restaurant attachés à l'hôtel.

Yelp
As a regular visitor to Montreal, I can definitively say that the InterContinental Montreal is my most preferred place to stay. The friendly service, world class facilities and amenities, and terrific location make the IC my home away from home. I most recently stayed there for the Nuit Blanche weekend and my expectations for greatness were exceeded yet again. The breakfast buffet at the Osco is the finest breakfast I've had at any hotel in the world. Several fresh breads, charcuterie, beans, and fresh fruit, plus cappucino served with a smile by Rene-Gilles and Marc Read, are the perfect way to start the day and keep me full well into the afternoon. I highly recommend upgrading to a rate that will include breakfast. I stayed in a corner room on the 24th floor with excellent views of the Cartier bridge, Farine Four Roses sign, and much of the city skyline. The desk was right by the windows, providing a comfortable location for getting some work done and there were plenty of charging ports both at the desk and near the bed. The steam room really warmed me up after a chilly evening outdoors, though I found the salt water pool a little too chilly on the winter morning when I visited. In addition to a delightful breakfast, my friends were thrilled with their absinthe cocktails along with dinner at Sarah B. The beyond burger was delicious and a reasonably-priced plant-based option. The location is excellent with quick walks to Old Montreal and the Quartier des Spectacles. Additionally, you don't have to go outside to hop on the Orange Line metro stop at Victoria Square. It was a little less convienient not staying at the same hotel as my friends, but all of the amenities, warm customer service, and comfortable rooms more than made up for those short walks to meet up with chums.

Yelp
WORST HOTEL extremely outdated. When you walk around the room you get static and get shocked with everything. The bathroom is oddly shaped and has no counter space. I came with my family we are 4 and we were on top of each other in the bathroom. This hotel is only good for a one night stay

Yelp
Yesterday the smoke alarm beeped every minute or so for several hours. Called the front desk and it stopped. Today again. Called the front desk. "I'm sorry sir we're doing alarm testing. I can send someone to disable yours." Never did. I needed to do some work from the hotel so had to stay put. It lasted for several hours. Words cannot express how irritated I am with this. Today will probably be the last time I stay on a hotel in my life. The fact that anyone anywhere thinks this sort of thing is acceptable baffles me. Sure the creator of a fire alarm system that requires incessant beeping during testing shares some blame. (Yes, I understand the rationale, no I do not agree that it's necessary or even smart) Not all blame goes to the designer, but some. Mostly I'm befuddled by how a hotel could survive doing this every year. Every single person in the building gets irritated for hours. Surely this leads to bad reviews, loss of business, closing of said business? Whatever. Not my job to figure that part out. Won't ever be staying here again. Also probably done with hotels entirely.

Yelp
Surprised that a hotel like the Intercontinental was to me far superior than my usual Marriott brand. Old school hotels are not to my liking until now. Since I was staying in the old part of Montreal, it made sense to come to the IC. I would attribute that to the fact that maybe I've been hangin with Marriott brands for 2 decades: a modern vibe was not happenin' this trip Also frequent stay benefits are not really honored with perks these days at many Marriotts, so I strayed a bit. And am glad I found another option. I also picked the IC because the Marriotts that were in the old city were more family oriented hotels and modern -- I wanted a bit of a peaceful stay. I got that here also. What's more, I am reminded of my relatives who love the IC in Asia. The hotel is in the older side but wowzah, the service and comfy linen won me over. If you're expecting the W, this ain't it. They also have an awesome restaurant with an extensive wine list. It's enough to lure me to eat here on my next stay. On my way back the concierge arranged an in-room antigen test, required by US border control on my flight back, a day prior to my departure. Most travelers had to show up early at the airport or go to make an appt in a Covid facility in downtown. Dayum. Great service. Pictures say it all. I was treated so well compared to any of my experiences with various Marriott brands. Branding was def consistent with my experience at the IC in Manila also. But then service in Asia is insane-- that's another subject. End of Yelp.

Yelp
The biggest pro about this hotel is that it is conveniently located on the RESO so you can take advantage of the Underground City and Metro! The indoor RESO is beautiful and is truly a city within a city. One entrance leads to Complexe Desjardins and the opposite entrance leads towards the Metro. There are a few cons about this hotel 1 - We had booked a king bed and a double bedroom and were upgraded to a double bed suite. While the room was an upgrade in size and view, the beds were a downgrade. We tried it on the first night and it was an awful arrangement. Spoke to reception and requested the room that we had asked for. While we appreciate the upgrade - the bed sizes should have matched or have been equivalent to our original reservation. The double beds were extremely soft and uncomfortable - we still have neck pain from the first night. The king and double bed was a step up and a bit firmer but the room was small and had a narrow window with no view. 2 - This is the Intercontinental, not a 1/2-star hotel, and the rooms are dated. Both of the rooms that we received did not have any USB ports. It had a combination clock and docking station with a Generation 1 Apple connector (it is the older 3-pin 1-inch Apple connector that was phased out in 2012. Our room did include a surge protector with 8 outlets but no USB connections. Luckily we had our own USB power strip to charge our devices. 3 - Parking is awful and is extremely inconvenient if you need to drive every day. The hotel parking is located on Basement floors 9 - 12. You have to take 2 separately located elevators to get to your car or the easier route of taking the RESO stairs and taking the 1 elevator in the food courts to your car. Essentially parking levels 1 - 8 are for other tenants, and 9 - 12 are for the hotel guests and visitors. No discount for parking from the hotel - $25 CAD a day.

Yelp
The Intercontinental Hotel in Montreal is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The service is amazing, the breakfast is incredible, and the location is perfect. I have never had such amazing service at a hotel before. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and they go above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay. The breakfast is also amazing. They have a great selection of food, and it is all very tasty. The location of the hotel is also perfect. It is right in the heart of downtown Montreal, so you are close to all of the best restaurants, shops, and attractions. I would highly recommend the Intercontinental Hotel in Montreal to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Montreal. It is an amazing hotel with incredible service, a great breakfast, and a perfect location.

Yelp
I've always stayed in Intercontinental when I visit Montreal. This is my 2nd time and it still really a nice hotel. Very strategic - 7 minutes from Notre Dame Basilica, 10 minutes from Chinatown, 15-20 minutes from the Old Port. You can stroll around, and it is connected to World Trade Centre. I really like the spacious and luxurious room. It is not as modern as other, but you can feel that you're in Old Port. If you are driving, I highly recommend to take the hotel valet for $36/night. You can go in/out which is really convenient compared to paying $25/night inside the World Trade Centre but you couldn't go in/out. The only downside during my stay was, the check-in time is at 3pm, but I haven't got my room until nearly 4:30pm. They compensate it with 2 free drink at the bar. When I checked in, my room's AC didn't work and its a connecting room, but they move us to a new room pretty quick with the same view. I really understand that during busy season it might have this kind of delay and they handle it really well. Overall, location, service, room, and cleanliness are excellent. I will recommend to my friend & family. Tips: if you are going to Old port, Use the door that pass the lobby to the World Trade Centre, it will lead you to Rue Saint-Jacques. I find it faster to go to Notre-Dame Basilica.

Yelp
Great location. Walkable and across is the metro station. The rooms are nice and quiet.it takes 39 to 35 minutes from the airport to hotel.

Yelp
We had a great stay here with our dog recently, the location of the hotel is great, with lots of sites a convenient walk from the hotel (old town, St Paul St, Notre Dame, the waterfront piers, Chinatown). In terms of the hotel itself, the public areas were nicer and more updated than the rooms, but the rooms were comfortable enough. I liked that our room had a separate bathtub and shower. All of the staff in the hotel were so nice and really went out of their way to make us feel welcome, which is much appreciated when you are traveling with a dog. Montreal is a pretty inhospitable town when it comes to taking your dog with you places, so it was nice to always feel welcome on hotel grounds. We had room service for dinner one night and heartily recommend the Salmon (ask for extra mashed potatoes). The one drawback to this property is it is in a very large complex, so getting to the garage (this involves using two different banks of elevators in an annex building) and even just the street is a bit of a hassle.

Yelp
Spotless, cozy velvet upholstered lounge. The lady checking me in apologized for taking so long but she wanted to get me a nice room which was so sweet. I think she upgraded me because it was a nicer room than my cousin got two hours later - and we booked together at the same rate. Covid protocols are a minimally stocked room. Call for anything extra desired, but they won't overstock and waste. If cleaning is required then they are happy to do so, but it could take up to three hours after calling to let them know. My room was spotless and I had what I needed. I prefer no cleaning as fewer toxic cleaning products. :) I could not figure out how to check out on the tv - I don't think you can. No bill under the door or in my email to keep it quick either. Checkout in person was lengthy so don't leave it too late.

Yelp
Stayed here for three nights and the location was very convenient for my meetings in the Place Victoria due to an underground tunnel between the hotel and the office building. Several things went wrong during the stay but the staff almost expected it and dealt with it nicely, the key card to open the room failed on a number of occasions and they would reissue a card or send security up to let me into the room, I had booked three nights but on the first night the manager advised I was down for only one night, I said it was definitely three nights and it wasn't a problem I just needed to send a copy of the confirmation email to the hotel. Staying during Grand Prix week the hotel was full, so I was very pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite. The food and service in the Intercontinental Lounge was the best I experienced anywhere in the city, the mashed potato was particularly smooth and creamy.

Yelp
Rooms seemed a bit outdated, but otherwise very good stay. Clean and friendly service. Great location and access to highway. Good food at downstairs restaurant.

Yelp
We felt welcome and comfortable at the InterContinental. Parking is simple, and the location is convenient to downtown destinations. The concierge was very helpful in guiding us to discover some things. The staff was even very kid friendly. We enjoyed breakfast at the house restaurant Osco but did not have dinner. Overall I would recommend it if it is included in your package. High quality and a nice location to dine with a great outdoor view. The pool on the 10th floor has a deck with a view of the City, check it out even if you don't plan to swim. Overall we really appreciated the value and the service. Our room was eminently comfortable as expected.

A.K. M.

Yelp
This property is pretty dated. Excellent location-connected to the mall as well. The restaurant is really odd and old school so we just got appetizers and went somewhere else. Room was fine but nothing special. Mostly you'd stay here for excellent location but if you plan on spending a lot of time in your hotel-stay elsewhere.

Yelp
A great location (close to downtown/edge of old Montreal). Staff was A+, had to switch a room for AC issue; quickly and attentively resolved. Underground parking available; $24? King bed extremely comfortable. Nice bath and shower. TV needs updating, no wifi for streaming, no Netflix.

William K.

Yelp
This is one of the better InterContinentals I have stayed at. I wasn't even supposed to be here but ended up staying here for two nights due to a lack of availability of flights when my flight to the U.S. got cancelled. The service is excellent here, and it seems like the other reviews here reflect that very obviously. Staff are very friendly and attentive and will go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay here. Generally, they are fluent in both English and French, or at least that was my impression. There's also a COVID testing service right on site should you need it for any reason. Awesome! The hotel is in a great location - walking distance from Old Montreal, Old Port, Chinatown and many other great attractions such as the Complexe Desjardins. It is also part of the Montreal Underground City - how cool is that! There is also a nice cafe attached to the hotel which is very convenient and they sell food and drinks at good prices. The room I had was rather dated, but very spacious. I also found the room to be somewhat dark - more lighting would help bump this review up to 5 stars. The washroom could also slightly bigger to me, I found the shower to be quite cramped and there were times where I kept constantly bumping into the walls. The shower power is excellent, however. No complaints there. This review will not cover parking or the restaurant as I did not use these features while here. My rating of this hotel would be 5 stars if the room was more modern and had more lighting, but I'll definitely stay at this hotel again should I need to travel to Montreal for any reason - and hopefully not because of a cancelled flight next time!

Yelp
Location is great. Rooms are nice although older style with carpeting. Spacious bathroom. Nice decor. Would stay again. Room service breakfast is fabulous!

Yelp
Don't stay here unless you want to be harrassed by the staff. I stayed on January 24th-26th, 2023. The first morning, me and two colleges had a fantastic breakfast. We charged it all to one of our rooms, took a photo of the receipt to expense (it was a business trip) and left. The next morning I was the last to join those two colleagues plus one additional colleague for breakfast. After I sat down I was approached by one of the staff who had been working the day before: "hey guy, what happened yesterday". I was very confused. He they accuses me of leaving without paying. I explain I thought we were all on the same tab, that's what we had discussed. He confirmed that, and proceeds to hold me solely responsible for not paying for all three of us. Still confused I explain that we charged it to the room. He says "how would I know you took the receipt." Extra confused I explain that we didn't but we did take a photo of the receipt. (he's still only holding me responsible). This whole time he is acting very aggressively and staying inches from my face. The photo of the receipt was not good enough for the employee. He still continues to accuse me alone of stealing until the colleague who actually filled out the bill offers to go up and check his pockets. After he leaves to do so, the employee walks away and stops one of his coworkers from bringing me coffee or taking my order. At this point I'm fed up and leave to talk to the hotel manager. I got theresponse you would expect from a hotel manager just trying manage the "situation" and not his aggressive employee falsely accusing a patron. Meanwhile my colleague finds his copy of the receipt, which isn't filled out unlike the photographed one we tried showing the server. Afterwards, my colleagues admitted they were afraid the guy was going to assault me. And we're increasingly fearful he would. One colleague admitted he was worried "what if we get in a fight in a foreign country? What happens? And with hotel staff?" Apparently the server's attitude never improved. Also he didn't appear to be taken off the restaurant floor or removed, or talked to. This is according to my colleagues. I certainly wasn't going to go back in there. I cannot express enough my distaste for a place tolerating this behavior from their employees.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of staying here about a week ago for new years. It was a wonderful experience and one of the best if not the best hotel I've stayed at in four continents. The concierge was exceptional as they booked all of my dinner and lunch reservations for me and truly hit the spot in their Restaurant recommendations. In addition to this, the service was excellent and they even gave me a room with a view of the city on a higher floor at no additional charge as well as late check out. Unprompted the staff brought chocolates and espresso martinis to my room which made my morning as no other hotel staff had been so thoughtful before. The lobby was beautiful and I had wonderful drinks at the bar. I highly recommend staying in this hotel if you're ever visiting Montreal!

Yelp
Beautiful rooms well appointed and modern. Excellent customer service and perfect location near fun, food and shopping

Yelp
The front desk staff were very personable and accommodating. The bell hop made sure our bags arrived in our rooms when we checked in. The cleaning staff refreshed our rooms every morning. The bar staff was great to talk to and provided great tips for the area. The icing on the cake was the concierge, Marc Antoine. Our trip to Montreal would not have been nearly as enjoyable without him. He went above and beyond to help us plan our activities and made reservations for us at some fantastic restaurants. The staff here is amazing, the cleanliness was impeccable, and I can't wait to return!

Yelp
Old building, bathrooms need renovation. Bathtubs are slow draining. Curtains are dirty.

Yelp
Great location downtown Montreal. Close to lots of restaurants, the convention center, ... Had a room on the 22nd floor but not much of a view. The room is OK for one person but would be cramped for two people. The bathrooms have both a shower and a small tub. The wireless is free but not very fast. They have a great breakfast buffet at the reception level. The food is very good and the service is friendly.

Yelp
I am convinced my friend and I got a huge bargain! I couldn't believe this hotel was this great at the price that we paid. First of all, it is located in a perfect location. We walked to Old Montreal and the Pier and to the malls with no issue. Even the ride shares to and from the airport are affordable! The service here is exceptional! They didn't say anything about us checking in an hour or two early. They explained everything in detail to us regarding the amenities. We mentioned that we had forgot our toothbrushes and they provided bamboo toothbrushes and toothpaste to us free of charge. The room sizes were amazing, the bathroom was a good distance away from the sleeping area which was great! They had a bathtub AND a shower. The staff was very accommodating and they make you feel like a VIP guest. You can just tell that pre-covid prices for this hotel must've been through the roof! So glad we got to stay here at a great time!

Yelp
The hotel is downtown Montréal and in close walking distance to a metro and Chinatown. The lobby is located on the second floor. The front desk agent that checked me in was friendly and cheerful. The room I had was spacious with a sitting area and large bathroom. The bed was super comfy and I slept so well. There's a pool/fitness area on the 10th floor with several cardio machines, a few weight machines and dumbbells. I can imagine that the hotel gets very busy with all those different meeting spaces listed.

Yelp
We stayed in a king and double classic room. Room was beautiful and beds were very comfortable, room including bathroom was very clean and felt very luxurious. Staff have been very friendly and helpful. Close to major attractions including Basilica church. Overall a great stay!

Yelp
Beautiful and clean hotel. We stayed for two nights in a standard King. The hotel is conveniently located within a couple minutes walk from Old Town and Chinatown, and within 10-15 minutes of the harbor. Lots of very good restaurants nearby too. The staff were all very kind. The cleaning staff gave us extra shampoos, lotion, etc and the lobby staff gave us a map and suggestions of where to go. The hotel itself is very high end and located in a commercial center. There were lots of very picturesque locations just within the shopping center. There was even a piece of the Berlin

Yelp
First day and first time here (still 3nights to go), we got an upgrade to ambassador suite with harbor view, free breakfast, free club access. Majority of staffs were so friendly and well trained except a gentleman at concierge desk is an unprofessional info provider, which costed us one sunny day (T-T). For the room only downside is lightning in the suite just like other guests posted...kinda dark plus dark deep red carpet makes it even darker. For their swimming pool...so tiny, only 2 people can swim at the same time with tight arm swing. If you do have long arms or one of those with wide swing, literally just one person at a time. And we have been waiting for 2 guests to finish so it can be our turn and so far we have been waiting for 30min and counting. So we gave up. The hotel is located right in the center of everything. Few minutes walk to Chinatown and underground city but as usual in a big city, nothing is free same as parking. Most of garages charge the same CAD 25 for 24 hrs parking. I would love to give 4 stars but with the hotels amenities, I only gave 3 stars and my 3 stars actually went to the upgrade parts and friendly staffs. But definitely we will be back.

Yelp
Great hotel with spacious, tastefully decorated rooms. It is located just a few seconds away from two subway stops, Place D'armes or Place Victioria and is located in the financial district of the city near the Old City. The lobby is connected to two restaurants, Osco and Sarah B's Absinthe Lounge and there is also a coffee shop downstairs called Java U. The hotel is very quiet, quite fancy and the concierge was wonderful and extremely knowledgeable. If the weather isn't great you can take the back exit and access a tunnel that will connect you to the subway without having to set foot outside which is also pretty neat. The back exit also features an arcade where there is a convenience store, a couple of small restaurants and a few random shops. I had a wonderful stay there in this hotel.

Yelp
Booked an online reservation for a stay at intercontinental Montreal. The lobby is located in the second floor. You need to take the escalators up. The staffs are really friendly. We stayed here for 5 days in a corner king room with a view. Got an exclusive upgrade for about $20 to get an executive suite. It was also in the corner. Room 2000. The room was very spacious. We had two tvs, one in the room and one in the living room area. The washroom was big and spacious. There was a tub and a standing shower. The rooms were a little dim though. There was free wifi and We had access to the club lounge. Breakfast was offered to us in the lounge from I think 7am till 10:30. They had a variety of breakfast foods and drinks. The cookies and croissants were really good. Very fresh and soft. The club lounge card allows us to access it any time we want. All you can drink for things like coffee, tea, soft drinks and water. From 5-7pm there was all you can drink alcohol. There's a variety of beer and wines you can choose from. It was pretty worth it. As for room service. Food was horrible. It tasted like microwaved frozen food. Not worth. But the only option if you're hungry in the early morning or late nights. There was also a cafe located right under the hotel. They have really good sandwiches. Besides the rooms being a little old, there was not much to complain. Overall great experience ! Service was excellent!

Yelp
Overall a nice stay. Biggest complaints: I found the rooms quite dark and the bathroom felt very cold. Room was cleaned well and toiletries restocked each time. The TV was glitchy - perhaps low battery in remote or poor Internet connectivity. Room service was fine but expensive. Charging electronics seemed to take forever. Really enjoyed the absinthe bar and took advantage of the connection to the indoor shopping area.

Yelp
We stayed for the Columbus Day weekend on A Priceline deal hotel service was excellent. Room service good. The bar was great food and service and all around great staff I would have gave it a five if the pool on the tenth floor was not so small.

Yelp
Wasn't really impressed by the folks. Passive aggressive times deux. The rooms were worn and dated. IC should pull the brand from this property. Location was ok though.

Yelp
This hotel is in the middle of everything, (Chinatown, Notre Damne de Basilica, underground city, etc.). Staffs are wonderful and the room is modern and clean. Checking in was a breeze. Our room was on the 11th floor, very big for Montreal standard but not so much of the view (overlooking either an apartment complex or office space). The gym & pool are on the 10th floor. The pool is about 4' deep with complementary floatation devices you can use. WiFi is free and very stable. It's fast enough for my son to watch YouTube with any buffering. Our room didn't come with breakfast so it will be $20/person. We decided to venture out since it's about a billion restaurants around anyway. Parking is very conveniently located next door to the hotel. We opted for valet parking since I had bad experience earlier trying to park my own car in a very tiny little space. As it turned out, the parking space is larger than any other garages in Quebec. Self parking is $25, valet is $37.

Yelp
My wife and I went to Montreal Intercontinental after researching hotels for about a year. We heard that this would be a wonderful place to spend our 25th Anniversary. We were surprised to find that while the staff was trying their best, they are extremely understaffed and it took 3 long days to have them clean the disgusting black mold in our shower and in our coffee maker after repeated requests. Photos attached. Another big disappointment has been the fact that we completed BOTH the "after your stay" questionnaire 3 days after our trip last week in Aug. and then when no response after 11 days, I phoned customer service number, was told "we are all backed -up", send info to this other email and guess what??? Nothing still. It has been a total of 3 weeks. Guess IGH does not care... Try other hotels...

Yelp
Great location, easy parking, beautiful room, and the staff was very professional. Also they give you really big fluffy towels, like giant soft beach towels.

Yelp
Very swanky hotel in the middle of downtown. Everyone was very nice, particularly Kevin at the front desk. One downside is that they weren't able to expedite the checkin, as we got into the hotel really early due to an overnight flight, so we got into the room around 2pm after waiting in the lobby from about 11:30 (though, they didn't bother us ). Would stay here again if I'm back in this wonderful cold city.

Yelp
Not impressed. We booked this hotel to have a pool close by for my young nephew. It is listed as a hotel amenity. We arrived and are told it's under construction and we have to go next door- not convenient with a toddler! We were also charged exhorbitant extra fees of $150 that we're hidden by Priceline in the hotel taxes. After hours of talking and emailing with Priceline and the hotel, Priceline blames the hotel and the hotel blames Priceline, I am left in the middle and out the money. We asked the hotel for some type of reasonable compensation, like breakfast, they refused. update: cleaning service took one of the bathrobes and didn't replace it (a problem, because you get charged for it if it is missing), one of the towels they provided was filthy with what looked like hardened toothpaste, the tv is very small/cheap and the remote works poorly, and they only give you late checkout if you are an elite member. Not 4 star quality. I won't be staying here again and I recommend you don't either.

Yelp
Just came back from a long weekend with friends and stayed at the IC. Warm welcome, excellent value (off-season), close to everything and right at the underground city. We had club level corner rooms and breakfast and happy hour were included. The service was great and I'd for sure go back.

Yelp
My wife and I spent four nights in this beautiful hotel. It is centrally located (very close to Old Montreal & Chinatown) and also very close to a Metro station (Place D'Armes). Additionally it is attached to part of the underground mall system. This was vital during the recent heat wave in Montreal. Our room was beautiful and the service from the staff (extra towels and toiletries) was excellent. We also had the concierge help us with a dinner reservation and the restaurant was great.

Yelp
What a dump. This hotel screams 1972. I can't believe this hotel gets to use the IHG brand. The rooms are cheap and dark. The bathroom looks like it belongs in a hostel. Gross.

Yelp
This hotel was fantastic!! Excellent value for the price. I could not believe how attentive and helpful the front reception staff were. They went out of their way to prepare our room for us early and made sure that I had a hypoallergenic bed as requested and even double checked to make sure it was all executed correctly. The concierge was also helpful and able to direct us to various locations as needed. I would recommend taking a walk around the adjoining Victoria square on the lower level. It's full of shops, restaurants and a must see fountain area. The Sarah B absinth bar was also a pleasure. We enjoyed some lovely cocktails and wine on several occasions. If you are looking for some fine dining, the Toqué restaurant across the street was named best restaurant in Canada. It's not cheap but should definitely be on your bucket list. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The only improvement that I might suggest for this hotel would be to eliminate the perfume scent in the main lobby. It is extremely strong and assaulting to the senses for one with allergies! It made me feel quite sick actually. For this I deduct 1 star.

Yelp
Stayed here for 4 days 3 nights and had a nice stay here even though there was one night when the electricity went out on a few floors but they were able to accommodate and upgraded me to a better room quickly. The hotel is located right next to a underground city which is connected to the metro and is a few blocks from the Notre-Dame. Would definitely recommend the hotel if your looking for someplace nice.
