I wanted to thank the InterContinential Hotel for the best service! My mom and I were staying in New Orleans for our first time together, and we did have to move rooms on the first night but they treated us with the utmost respect and kindness, and Donate (apologies if I spell your name wrong) was the BEST front desk service host I have ever had and I have travelled a lot. All of the women were wonderful as well, and always so kind. I loved Trenasse the hotel restaurant, it had the BEST service, and I went there 3 times because of the service. Please keep it up I will be back, and due to the kind ness we had the best overall experience from check in to check out. 10/10. We will be back! Thank you again!!! Mark was also a great manager who offered us a double queen on day 1. Such a great place to stay!!!

I organized an academic conference at the Intercontinental last month. We picked the Intercontinental since room and catering fees were competitive with other large hotels in the area. Andrew and Greg from the event staff did a great job, and were super-responsive to all our requests. The rooms were nicely furnished, and the hotel is in an excellent location (just a few blocks walk from the French Quarter). I would definitely recommend checking out this hotel for anyone traveling to the area, whether the travel is for business or personal reasons.

Nice size room. Location was not too far from bourbon street and the front desk was helpful. They did run out of water bottles at the front desk for guest. That should be something that it always ordered and for guest at all times, especially because of the price you are paying for these rooms. The gym was pretty nice and the pool was clean. However, it was too cool to go in the pool. Overall nice size room and the water pressure was great. I would stay here again.

Based on the multiple flaws we experienced during our two-night stay, we would not recommend the Intercontinental New Orleans. While its location is strategic, the constant noise from streetcars rattling by in front of the hotel made sleep very difficult, even with earplugs. The general upkeep of the room was also not up to par for a hotel of this standard (see pictures), including worn furniture, dirty corners, a cracked and clogged bathroom sink. The shower pressure was almost non-existent. There were none of the amenities other hotels of this standard provide - no complimentary bottle of water, no slippers, not even stationery or any basic information. Instead, the chargeable snacks tray was half empty upon arrival, forcing us to inform guest services to make sure we wouldn’t be billed for something we hadn’t consumed. On the last morning, a huge spider was crawling on one of the walls (in our 12th floor room!), raising serious doubts about the hotel’s pest control measures. In addition, the staff interactions were unpleasant: At check-in, we didn’t receive a welcome or any explanation of the hotel’s services. Instead, the whole conversation was limited to “I need your ID and credit card” and “elevator is over there”. The absence of a porter/bellman or any other luggage help (or anybody greeting you upon entering the hotel) was a negative point, too. (As a point of comparison, other hotels of that standard in New Orleans had bellmen who greeted us friendly even though we were just walking by.) We were assigned the wrong room type (with two queen beds instead of the booked one bed), so we had to go down to the reception again (with all our luggage, see the “no help” above) to ask for a room with correct bed type. We were just given new key cards, with no apologies for the inconvenience. Most disappointingly, the hotel showed a concerning ignorance after being informed about its bad performance. Some hotel staff member (“Hannah”) sent us a text message asking about our experience. We shared with her details and photo evidence of the issues mentioned above. However, nobody ever reacted to that - our message just remained unanswered, even though at that point (after the first of two nights) the hotel would have had still enough time to make things right. Why do you ask guests about their satisfaction in the first place if you don’t follow up at all? This was just adding insult to injury. All in all, our unpleasant experience at the Intercontinental New Orleans negatively impacted our stay in this otherwise interesting and nice city. Our advice would be to save yourself the hassle and opt for one of the many other hotel options with better ratings.

Don't stay at this hotel. The hot water and electricity went out for over 40 hours. Only one elevator remained working for this period, the staff elevator, of which required guests to walk through a working kitchen where hotel workers were actively preparing meals. The alternative was walking down 11 flights of stairs in the dark, not a suitable option as I was traveling with my elderly father. When speaking to the hotel manager at the time, they could not provide a timeline for when the hot water and electricity would return, so guaranteed a reimbursement for the remaining three nights of our stay. After changing hotels, and following up weeks later, they refused to provide a reimbursement for the three days. Instead, they could only offer reimbursement for 'one night', and quoted us with a value that was actually significantly less than the per night fee I paid for. I am still waiting for any money to be returned.

Not a bad hotel at all, staff was very nice during check in. During check out the lady at the front desk had slight attitude. Water pressure was low, they did come to fix it. The hotel needs to be upgraded seriously. Street noise is a bit much… tolerable tho. Bathrooms are dater the tub saw better days.

★★☆☆☆ – Very Disappointing Stay, but Some Staff Were Excellent I recently stayed at the InterContinental New Orleans and, unfortunately, my experience fell far below expectations. Cons: • Fleas in the bed: We were bitten multiple times during the night – an absolutely unacceptable issue for any hotel, let alone one at this price point. • Fridge unusable: We couldn’t store any food because the fridge simply didn’t work. • Extremely dated rooms: The property feels well past its prime and in desperate need of refurbishment. • Terrible pillows & poor service: The pillows were so bulky and uncomfortable that we requested replacements three separate times. Despite being told they were on the way, nothing ever arrived. We eventually had to Uber to Walmart late at night just to buy our own pillow. • No water except on one floor: The only place to get drinking water was on the 15th floor, which makes no sense for a hotel of this size. • Complicated shower: The shower was so unintuitive we had to call someone to come up and show us how to use it. • General feeling of poor management: The whole place feels like it’s running on autopilot and lacks attention to guest experience. Pros: • Laundry service was excellent: I handed in laundry and not only was it cleaned exceptionally well, but they even returned money they found in one of the pockets — very honest and appreciated. • Divanti the bellman was outstanding: Friendly, helpful, and genuinely the highlight of the stay. Overall: The hotel feels like it’s in urgent need of refurbishment and stronger management. Some staff members go above and beyond, but the fundamental issues — cleanliness, comfort, maintenance, and basic guest care — made this a disappointing stay. I wouldn’t return until major improvements are made.

The location of the InterContinental New Orleans is excellent—very convenient to the French Quarter and getting around the city. Unfortunately, the hotel itself did not feel like a true 4-star property. Our room was extremely dark and quite dated, with virtually no natural light, which made it feel tired rather than welcoming. The rooms also lacked adequate soundproofing, and we could clearly hear barking dogs and crying children, which affected our ability to rest. Housekeeping was inconsistent and did not replenish basic items like toilet paper, Kleenex, or soap once we ran out, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the front desk staff were genuinely kind and helpful, which we appreciated. We spent most of our time in the French Quarter and, in hindsight, should have gone with our instincts and chosen a more romantic, boutique-style hotel. Overall, the location carries this stay more than the accommodations or amenities, which did not meet 4-star expectations.

Stay here for a couple of days! Had amazing the spread of breakfast! The staff are super friendly, and nice. I will definitely check out the breakfast when you are staying here!

Let me first say that, I'm not a fan of 'vintage' styled hotels but hey it's the Intercontinental right? Upon first glance, it's decent for a quick stay, which is what I was there for (EssenceFest). Here are my thoughts: Entrance/Lobby: 4 out of 5 Front Desk: 5 out of 5 Guest Room: 2 out of 5 Cost: 2 out of 5 (Definitely not worth the price.) The lobby area is nicely decorated if you like the old-style New Orleans theme. The desk agents were really nice. I arrived in New Orleans at 10:30 a.m. They checked me right in! Winning! Guestroom was meh...clean'ish. I'm OCD so I travel with cleaning gloves and Clorox wipes to clean and wipe down. It wasn't dirty but there was hair on the floor that wasn't ours **gross** on the bathroom floor. ALSO, there was a roach crawling on one of the beds **ewwww** you know the saying when it comes to roaches, where there is one, there are hundreds! So you know my skin was crawling!! I know it's an old building but ugh!! We didn't eat at the hotel, but I heard it was not good. All in all...I would not stay there again.

We stayed here for a last minute getaway and overall enjoyed our stay. I was disappointed that I got a room overlooking a parking lot instead of a room with a downtown view or a patio view (even numbers) even though we stayed for 4 nights. Location is good! Close but not in the French quarter as it is loud near Bourbon street. It was a 10min walk from the E2 airport bus line and a street car to the Garden District runs in front of the hotel. Service was good! The first morning I ran 3 cycles through the Keurig which had calcifications in it. I requested a clean machine which they replaced. I also requested more regular coffee as they only stock it with 3 pods. They provide all the necessary toiletries which were not my favorite. But having limited luggage space, I did not bring my own. Shower ran well with warm water and drained well. Pillows and bed were comfortable. Decor is a bit dark but didn't bother me. The decor of the third floor is much nicer and I hope the rest of the hotel is updated similarly. The pool area on the roof was closed for maintenance. Gym had necessary equipment but I didn't use it as I walked 20k steps per day sightseeing.

Me , my wife , and our youngest daughter went to New Orleans for my wife's Alma Mater Homecoming (Xavier University of Louisiana). This was one of the host hotels so we decided to stay here. Lots of Chicago Bears fans in town for the Saints vs Bears game. When we checked in we decided to valet as to not have to deal with self parking ( there's a garage near hotel) but not convenient with the one way traffic. We checked in a bit a room promptly. The hotel has the elevators that does not let you up stairs without a key card ( security). We got in our room ( two queen beds) and were very impressed by the size and set up. Were went down for dinner to the restaurant Trenasse to eat and have drinks. The food is decent but small. We had boudin balls ( 2 per serving) , crawfish bites ( lacking season), two bowls of gumbo ( very flavorful) 1 had lots of chicken and sausage while the other was mostly roux and soup. I had a burger with fries that was very tasty and well cooked the service here was excellent and drinks were good ( pricey). Now you might say all he has is good things to say. Well here we go, the valet was a regret. 1) Car takes for ever to come, you call front desk and they tell you 20 minutes, came down in 30 and still waited 15 minutes for car. During the day the young guys are slow but way more professional than the young lady with dreads at night. It's very obvious that she partakes of the Mary Jane during work as my car smelled of her. We were missing towels in our room and the young girl at the counter acted as if I was inconveniencing her by asking for more towels while she was texting . Last day there I called for the car and was told I had to come down to ask for the car. What is the point of valet then? Anyway we had a great trip, but the service at this hotel is lacking and drink prices are high for a little pour. Will go back to the Hilton next time or rent a House.

Love the renovation of the 3rd floor meeting space. Went to an event and love the look and brightness of the meeting space. Banquets team and wait staff was simply amazing and service was truly on point. Food was delicious and loved the personalized service with meal selection and presentation. Kudos to the staff and exec chef for a job well done. Just check out that fresh bread presentation on every table...speaks for itself.

Came in for a quick weekend getaway and to go over to HARRAH's / converting to Caesar's property. My comp rooms at Caesar's were all gone since this was a last minute trip. I knew IHG would take care of me as they always do. Check in was quick and my room was ready early with an auto upgrade. Room was very clean, nice shower, Kurig, (the fridge was only for beverage purchases which I thought to be odd. What is you had medicine or something?). The beds were VERY comfortable. I slept like a rock and I have a nice bed at home to compare. Breakfast on the restaurant was filling. I got the ambassador and barely finished it. The COFFEE is good. Staff was all pleasant and helpful. I had an issue with my Kurig not closing and Josie at the front desk had someone replace it in my room while I was at breakfast. I had a plate of fruit, FIJI water and cookies waiting in my room when I get back. The hotel is in a safe area, you need your room key to access elevators which is nice. I walked all around the French quarter about a 20 minute walk away. Caesars casino is straight up the main Poydar ? Only 3 blocks away. Day and night I felt ok walking alone. Airport is about 20 minutes depending on traffic. LOTS to see around the area. ROYAL at and CANAL street are also a good stroll. It's been a while since I was in New Orleans and this was a very spontaneous trip for a weekend getaway. I would return for another weekend no problem and you get to see more and more as you become familiar with the area.

Bit dated but easy location to walk to many places and transportation stops. Checkin 5* Lobby is on the 1st floor on the right side. Gary was great checking us in, trying to find us connecting rooms, which he did. Location 5* on the east side of St Charles Ave between Poydras St & Gravier St -French Quarters: 4 blocks north -National WWII Museum: 7 blocks south -Canal Place Shopping Mall: 4 blocks (north)east -Hop on & off stop #8: 2 blocks SW (on NE corner of Poydras St where it meets Carondelet St) -The Ruby Slipper (breakfast place): 4 blocks NE Restaurants Trenasse: has happy hour specials; seems to always have many customers Rooms 3.5* Bathroom: bit dated; one shower had slow draining; 3* Bed: comfortable & clean bed, pillows & bedding 5* Connecting: ours were 1 King and the other 2 Queens 5* Decor: bit dated but functional. 3* Elevators: few doors away but quiet 5* Lights: fixtures had to be individually turned on & off; dim enough to need to turn on all the lights 3* Taxi: 4* need to ask the front desk to call taxis for us because none just waiting in front of the hotel Uber: 5* they found the hotel without a problem

I went on a last minute, first trip to NOLA. I have wanted to travel down there, for quite some time and for many reasons had pinpointed Intercontinental as my choice. The main reason is because I've stayed in Intercontinental hotels in other cities and had a luxurious stays, but this one one was a slight let down-- from what I've come to expect. My flight arrived very early and I contacted the hotel about a potential early check-in, I was told I could pay $25 dollars, and that I could do so. When I arrived, that offered to waive that charge and provide me a late check out (2PM) which I appreciated. Upon my entry to the room, the room was what I saw online, but again, did not fit the standard from some of their other hotels. The bed was comfortable, but had some of the worst pillows I've ever experienced; they were almost non-existent. The water in the bathroom was not very warm and had low water pressure. One of the other biggest issues from the room was the television. It took me 30 minutes to get the tv on, it would just cut off and re-start up, on its own. The tv would not turn on at some points at all, I had to tap the tv to get it to finally turn on, which I found to be unacceptable. The staff here was courteous and helpful, but I would say this place was slightly a let down.

Staff and rooms were great. Bed was comfy and room was clean. I just wish they had a mini fridge that wasn't for the bar so you could use it for leftovers but I've noticed a good couple of NOLA hotels have the same issue so I don't think that will change.

Another fantastic stay! I absolutely love this hotel. The staff are amazing, the rooms are great, and the food at Trenasse is really delicious. I will always stay here when I am in New Orleans.

It was aiight to be honest, a nice hotel with a bit of a 1970s kinda feel to it, great restaurant, comfortable bed, quiet and peaceful. My only gripe is that I need to be an IHG Member in order to get late checkout otherwise they're quite strict about check out at 11am. Also the minibar didn't open either. Oh well, enjoyed the stay no less.

EXCELLENT stay! Very clean room, friendly staff and very attentive housekeeping! Manager Cindy was very detailed and made sure we had a good stay. We loved the hotel. It's beautiful, conveniently located to all the things we wanted to see. We missed having a fridge and microwave in the room if we had leftovers. Pete's restaurant was convenient starting our day there for breakfast. Had lunch one day downstairs at Trenass Restaurant, food was great! Overall, great stay and would come back on our next trip here.

Enjoyed a 4 day 3 night stay at the hotel. Its location made everything convenient for us - great restaurants, shops, close to Canal Street for the RTA and hop on hop off tours, blocks away from French Quarter, and many more! Friendly staff and concierge helped us out a couple of times. Was able to get an early check-in around 9:30 am and got a complimentary upgrade to a king with a balcony. The hotel is a bit old and quite outdated :)

Truly. Stay elsewhere. Soooo dated. Desperately in need of a reno. Please do better. Came in for conference. My OG choice was all sold out... and this was my 4th choice... FML. I've stayed at an Intercontinental Hotel for my honeymoon in Bora Bora, and it was magnificent. I stayed at an Intercontinental in LA for a wedding, and it was ah-mazeball! So... why did this Intercontinental left sooo much to be desired??!! From service, food, quality, safety, and damn good sleep?!! Ugh. The lobby: so crowded and so dated. The concierge weren't the friendliest, (like no smile, just name, no rooms, do you want to pay for advance notification of room avail).. perhaps over-worked? and of course no rooms were remotely available... despite their check out time is 12 noon. Didn't get notification for a room until nearly 4pm. We hustled, quick showered and Uber to our dinner reservation at 5pm. Oh btw, anyone can walk right into the hotel and follow guests into elevators and press for any floors as long as a guest swipes their room card. Absolutely no security measure WHATSOEVER. (A delivery guy followed someone onto my floor... wtf). The room: 1404... worse floor to stay at. It's called the "Executive Floor"... right beneath their 24 hour GYM! *LMAO in sleep deprived tears*. Ironic, yes? Every freaking hour... some health obsessed manic is working out, pounding the treadmill, dropping those kettlebells like no care in the world... 24 hours. I REPEAT. WORSE. FLOOR. EVER. The bathroom is odd, can't close the shower doors, and because it's separated from the vanity area, makes the shower area extremely TINY. The walls are thin. I can hear my neighbors. (I slept with the TV on... trust me). The bed was not comfortable... the sheets were rough. I feel like I stayed at a 2.5 stars hotel/motel... definitely nothing higher. Final thought to self: "I hope I never have to stay here again"... #IHG #DoBetter #yelplife #FML #traveladventures

This was a wonderful experience, we will be back soon again for a splendid time in New Orleans! Let the good times roll

1. Parking is a nightmare and very expensive. 2. The valet people were rude as hell 3. My brand new car wreaked of pot when I got my car back. 4. There was a black dude in the mens room hassling me for money TWICE! 5. New Orleans is a dump! 6. Luke Restaurant was great!

Pool was closed for maintenance, which was unfortunate since we chose this hotel since it had a pool! The room was very small and the bed didn't even have a fitted sheet. Seems to have been like a nice hotel years ago. Not so much now.

The Intercontinental New Orleans Hotel has a chronic and toxic atmosphere that management surely must be aware of. The treatment we experienced was deplorable and inexcusable. The worst we have experienced in a decade of travel. 1. We checked in on 8/25. We arrived at the hotel a little after midnight and was greeted by a dark front desk with no staff readily on hand. We ventured to the left of the desk and noticed three men: one in front of the snack shop, one at the concierge desk and another on the side. They were chatting and we had to get their attention to check into the hotel. One of them got up and proceeded to check us in. No, "hello welcome to the Intercontinental" no eye contact no smile. We got our room keys and went to our room. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and shrugged it off. Here's the main reason for our complaint. a. When we checked into the room, a bottle of water was available for sale. We decided we would drink it. It was evident that the bottle was tampered with as the cap was not sealed and twisted off easily. b. There were no suitcase stands. We were assured that stands would be delivered in the morning. The stand never arrived, so we ended up putting suitcases on the desk and coffee table. c. Saturday morning, we woke up to a leaking toilet. d. We informed the housekeeper however, we quickly realized she couldn't understand English. That being the case, we reported the leak to the concierge who assured us she would inform the engineer. e. After a day touring the town we returned to our room to a toilet that was shut down and not working. No note or message. f. At approximately 9:55 pm, we called guest services to report this issue. She said she would inform the engineer. There was no call, no follow up. g. At approximately 10:25 pm, once again, we called guest services and spoke to Dee. She said she would call the engineer. At that time, I asked if the toilet cannot be repaired that evening, could we please move to a room with a working toilet. Her response, "Let's send the engineers up there to look at the problem first". No one came to address the problem; no follow-up call from guest services. In the meantime, we resorted to using the lobby restrooms. h. The next morning, we addressed this issue with another housekeeper who again, said she would address this problem with the engineers. i. We went out to tour the city and returned to the hotel to find our room keys were turned off. Went down to the lobby and spoke to a person at the concierge desk. She immediately restored my husband's key card, and we were able to access the room. She did require my wife to provide an ID to get her card turned back on. By the way, the toilet was still not fixed. My husband turned a knob to the toilet which made it work however, it was still leaking. At this point, we felt it was no sense to report the malfunction and used our towels to prevent the leak from seeping into the room. We always had the impression Intercontinental Hotels were an above average hospitality group but after dealing with this issue, we were extremely disappointed. Their only selling point was the staff in their café. They were courteous, professional and a welcome refuge from the rest of the hotel.

Staff is very nice and attentive. The hotel itself is a little dated. Great location.

I have stayed at the Intercontinental New Orleans before and usually really enjoyed my stay there. Now, The hotel seems to be in need of a little renovation. There was no daily housekeeping or cleaning service. You had to request to have your room cleaned and you had to get that Request in early on the evening before. No one told us this when we checked into the hotel and I was disappointed with my room wasn't cleaned for two days straight. I was there for a total of five days and only had my room cleaned once. Other days I had to request to have fresh towels and hygiene items brought to the room.

Love this hotel! This is my 3rd time staying and I've always enjoyed it. The only aspect of this stay that bothers me was the A/C. Though the night it's like the system in on auto and no matter what temperature you have it set to it does it's own thing. No sure May have just been a fluke or due to an internal heating system. The weather was cold outside. Nevertheless I slept miserably with a stuffed up nose.

My gf and I visited New Orleans 2 weeks beforeardi Gras. We stayed at the Intercontinental bc of it's great location. It's only 5 short blocks away from Bourbon St. The king room was great! It was clean and nicely decorated. The bedding was clean and comfortable. The staff was courteous, friendly, and very helpful. Concierge was very pleasant whenever we needed some tips for anything. While there, the parades were happening right in front of the hotel so it was great to just go downstairs to watch them. 5/5 stars and would stay there again!

This hotel has great prices and a nice restaurant close to the lobby. It is conveniently near many attractions of Nola and the airport. Inside the room, it has cable television with many channels, a good shower & vanity, a decent sized mini refrigerator, and 2 comfortable queen beds. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking to stay a night or more.

Disappointed in this hotel. No fridge in the room, just a minibar that will dock you if you even move one of the items. The in-room television was antiquated. The fitness center was ok, but needed a good cleaning. Don't bother purchasing an item in the hotel store; a pint of Hagen Dazs was $30. Ouch.

I'm sort of conflicted with this Hotel. Our stay was quiet and everything was clean, but the hotel itself is very flat and boring, especially compared to locations in other cities. The restaurant attached was just bland and the staff was Ok; not too friendly but not rude. Currently due to covid, no room service or housekeeping is available which was inconvenient, but understandable. I probably won't be back for a while unless things are renovated

i wish i could give 0 stars. the elevators stopped working for no reason. 200 people were in the lobby waiting for the stairs to open because none of the workers knew what was going on. i would never stay here again. -5 stars- fix your hotel.

1st time here and plan on returning. Had 2 rooms and both were beautiful. Breakfast was great and the staff all over the hotel were so happy and friendly. Mgmt is doing something right here to keep everyone so positive. I highly recommend.

The front desk was very accommodating and kind enough to let us check in early and we were able to park and walk to sightsee. It's a great location! Our room was on the 14th floor with a view of the city. The towels were fluffy, the linens were crisp and the beds comfortable. High quality shampoo, conditioner and lotion. It was a warm, humid day and were able to crank down the A/C to cool off. We never waited long for an elevator either. All staff members wore masks.

Each May, my beautiful mon cœur and I make the trek from Florida to New Orleans for an old friend's annual Birthday Bash! Wouldn't miss it for the world. We love the road trip, the party and all the excitement The Big Easy can dish out! There are PLENTY of Hotels and room options available, the competition is fierce, especially since it also just happened to be Mother's Day weekend. Each year we've booked a room at a different hotel, hoping to, but never quite finding a place we could call home. This year was different, as I do believe we finally found our home away from home! Upon check-in, there was an immediate issue. What I will say is this. It is NOT the issue itself, but rather how well the establishment handles the issue. Our concerns fell into the more than capable hands of Davis S, who went FAR ABOVE and BEYOND to ensure a prompt resolution and our COMPLETE SATISFACTION! What could have been a less than stellar stay turned into a magical and thoroughly enjoyable stay. Standing with, and backing up Davis, was the manager Brookelyn! She used her authority and position to unconditionally GUARANTEE our visit would be memorable for ALL the RIGHT reasons! Knowing Intercontinental New Orleans has folks like Davis and Brookelyn in their family of staff makes us 110% positive we can, and will recommend this beautiful hotel property. We are already looking forward to booking next year's Birthday Journey with them! Now, let's talk about the hotel itself. Our gorgeous room was a suite on the 10th floor. With two sides of windows in the huge living room overlooking St Charles Avenue, this is where we chilled and entertained. The bedroom was as large as most typical hotel rooms in itself, with a monstrously comfy king sized bed. The spacious bathroom had a large marble lined shower, his and her vanity areas and a bubbling de-troubling jetted bathtub. We 'almost' didn't want to leave our room, but the call of the Cajun(food) and the partying mood ultimately won out! Saturday night late, after returning from our party, we got a case of the midnight snackies....LOL The weather had turned foul, or should it be called fowl?? Blowing winds and hard driving rain hammered the glass of our first class palace. We made it as far as the lobby, but NO way were we venturing out in this weathering heights melee! Noticing our hunger panged predicament, Brookelyn(Manager Extraordinaire) came to our refreshment rescue! She had several recommendations on where we could order our midnight munchies that would include delivery! We quickly settled on and ordered our storm-bound snackage.. Brookelyn visited with us as she handled her more important managerial duties, always with a smile, as we waited for the poor bagged burger carrying rain-soaked bicycle man. That night we soundly slept with dill pickle breath sweet smiles on our weary faces...ahhhhhhhhhhhh. If you are in New Orleans in the year 2020, around Mother's Day, you'll see us dancing about & prancing in and out of the Intercontinental New Orleans. Tell them John & Beth sent ya, then share in our Joie de Vivre!

This was such a beautiful experience! First of all the outside of the hotel is breathtaking. Definitely felt like a star pulling up! If you want to be walking distance from the French Quarter this is a great spot to stay at. The inside is beautifulllllll! I didn't get to eat at the restaurants but the menu did look good. What made this such a wonderful place to stay at were the employees. Everyone from those outside to inside always greeted me and wanted to make sure I enjoyed their city. Major applause and thank yous to Nira and Mr. Dwayne. Nira let us know if all the great spots in New Orleans which were deliciousssssss! Mr. Dwayne was super sweet and helpful with technology. I would stay again if they are there. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

I have 0 complaints about my stay at the Intercontinental. I arrived at 10 AM and was allowed to go up to my room, this is rare for hotels. You usually have to wait until check in time or they might let you go 1 hour before but I was checked in immediately. Additionally, employee Payton said she would make sure she put me on a quiet side of the hotel so I couldn't hear construction. I was on the executive floor (14th) and had a wonderful stay. Housekeeping came everyday. This hotel is close to everything. I would definitely stay here again. Room is very dim but I wasn't inside, it's NOLA. ***Hotel room has no fridge or microwave but I went grocery shopping for snacks and staff kept it inside fridge behind front desk.

We got a room with a defective toilet. When we called the first time about it, they automatically knew what we were calling for " are you calling about the bathroom". The room also had a connecting door to the room next to us. We could hear their conversations throughout the night. Luckily, the guests only stayed one night. The room was dirty. It seems they use the same towel to clean everything. They smeared everything the towel picks up from the floor. We did like the location of the hotel.

I woke up like this! I woke up like this! Back in my favorite food city laying low at the Intercontinental Hotel. This Creole Shrimp Omelette is giving me life right now. The chef has somehow incorporated all of the N'awlins flavors into this beauty. A bit of Cajun with a little bit of French. I'd say that we are winning today! #eatingwithseanandre It's Gon Be Dope

I would not recommend this hotel. Cleaning staff decided to take my diamond jewelry and the hotel manager was nowhere to be found for the first hour of the confusion. We begged them to help and move more quickly to a resolve the matter. One out of five rings was found and returned, but odd that the other four rings were mysteriously gone. If you value your belongings, please don't stay here.

This was one of those stays where no one would believe you, so I am happy I have pictures (Thanks Iphone) and texts with the General Manager. I knew something was wrong with the start when I got to my room and there was a serious smell in there. Could not figure out what it was. Looked everywhere and decided to check the mini fridge. BINGO!!!!! I was not told that the room came with 2 free molded meals. I was told that they could not do anything about that because the fridge is locked when the cleaning crew came in. So if that is the case, how do you refill the fridge (which had many items missing)? Then I decided to make some coffee. Used the bathroom water to fill the coffee maker and BINGO!!!!!!!!! The water has some serious white particles in it (please look at pictures). I was told there was nothing they can do about it. So I mentioned that I have to brush my teeth with bottled water and cant use that water from the sink. I was told I could be moved to another room, but it will have the same problem. I was told that they are not going to be cleaning rooms due to the limited staff and that if I wanted fresh towels, I would need to come and get them from the front desk. So why did I have someone walk in to clean my room when I got out of the shower in the morning. She almost got a serious show if you know what I mean. I was also told because I booked the trip through Expedia, I would not be able to get any type of refund. I could understand that except for I did not use Expedia to book the room. I used AMEX. I know you are curious about what they did you compensate me for this stay. Let me tell you. I received 2 bottles of water so I can make coffee and brush my teeth. So thoughtful of them!!!!!

Disappointed in this hotel compared with other InterContinental locations. Very dated and worn out furniture in the rooms as well as the lobby area and the bathrooms. We had issues with the shower not working properly. Prior to booking I called the hotel to make sure that the fitness center and the restaurant and bar were open due to COVID. We were assured that the amenities were open; however, upon arrival we discovered that none of the amenity spaces were open. If something is not open, be honest with prospective guests instead if deceiving them into booking rooms.

Stayed here and the room was very nice, the staff is very friendly! Will be staying at future locations most definitely. Would only offer to suggest some minor renovations.

It said it was a 4 star hotel.....not! Rooms are outdated. Shower/tub was clogged, and had some tube hanging from the shower. 1-ply toilet paper!!!!!! Very dark, as the window faced the deck to next doors room. After checking out, they charged me for 2 days parking. I did not have a car. I was looked at like I was a liar ‍ Best thing in this hotel is the restaurant, Trenasse! Great food, great waiter, great cooks! They deserve 5 stars!

" Quiet & Comfortable Rooms " My wife and I stayed at the InterContinental New Orleans Hotel and had a comfortable stay. The hotel is very big and the rooms where quiet with a comfortable bed. We stayed here because we had to check in for our upcoming Mississippi River cruise. The hotel had a large private meeting room for the American Queen Steamboat Company to have a meeting place for all of the cruise ship passengers to check in for the trip. The Trenasse Restaurant, and Pete's Bistro and Pub, were also nice venues to visit in the Hotel. All of the employees were very nice and so helpful. We would diffidently stay here again.

This by far is the WORSTTTTTT hotel I have ever stayed at and the fact that I'm here for a conference makes it all that much worse. First of all my remote wasn't working and they brought up another remote that didn't work either. I asked them to send someone up to fix it and he came and knocked once so lightly and before I even got a chance to open the door, he was gone. Then I pulled back the sheets on the second bed only to find stains on it. I called housekeeping who came 15 minutes later and was EXTREMELYY RUDEEEEEEE. I had the door open for her and she goes "are you going to open the door". Mind you the door was wide open. At that point i just had enough. All the while I still don't have a remote. To add more to it, the menu for the Trenasse restaurant that was in my room was outdated with the wrong prices and ended up costing way more than I expected when I went to go get my food. After the rude housekeeping staff, i went to go speak to the night manager Paramjeet Ohlan who offered me a free drink for my inconvenience. I don't think i have ever been more insulted in my life. A free drink for the worst hotel ever??? This place has to be the biggest joke and ruined my entire NOLA experience. The walls are so thin that I could hear the next visitor's iPhone alarm going off in the morning. The fridge isn't COLDDD. It's warmer than room temperature. The front desk staff didn't even ask if I wanted to be an IHG member. Pros: Location to French Quarter Cons: EVERYTHING ELSEEEEEE

If I could give NO stars for this place, I would. I travel often, both for work and vacations. I stayed at this hotel in May 2021 and had a decent experience. Most recent, my employer had a training event in the ConferenceCentre on 11, which is connected to this hotel. Given our event concluded at the start of Jazz Fest, rates were high all over. We were given a decent rate for a room block for our attendees without penalty so I moved forward with this hotel. In my many, many years of event planning I have never experienced such ridiculous service with a hotel like this one, and NOT in a good way! I received an email 11 days AFTER the room block expired from Vickie Michel, National Sales Manager to inform me that they could not take reservations for 5 individuals, one being one of our instructors which was a last minute change on our end. One of my staff booked a room under the room block, yet her name was not on the list sent over. When I asked MORE THAN ONCE if the hotel contacted these individuals to let them know, I did not receive an answer. We had 25 people traveling to New Orleans for our event in the Conference Center. We are NOT the hotel, so we should not be informing anyone they did not have a room, yet due to not having an answer, we did. We had confused attendees who contacted the hotel and they were told the email they received indicating they had a CONFIRMED reservation did not look familiar, were not aware of the room block, etc. I escalated this to Randy Parkins, Director of Group Sales who completely ignored my email questioning all of this, only to re-inform me of what Brandy Williams (Reservations Manager) and Vicki already did (copying his email word for word): Thanks for reaching out. I have talked with Vickie and Brandy and they mentioned they had sent you a rooming list of all who had registered for your meeting. Any additional requests for reservations after cutoff date were not confirmed due to non-availability of guest rooms. Look forward to having your organization with us next week. Our instructor showed up (an IHG Member as well as myself) with a printed confirmation, only to be refused by the hotel for his stay for the week. During this check-in process where the check-in did not happen, Anita Pinto at the front desk (obviously, sick) coughed and sneezed all over his phone and drivers license. Our instructor went on to inform the General Manager at the hotel of the following: * My reservation was refused at the front desk. * I received no prior notice of this refusal before arrival. * The front desk did nothing to assist in providing an alternate solution. * The front desk claimed they had provided prior notification but could not provide electronic or printed proof of that notification. In the attached reservation below, that I made personally through the InterContinental web site as an IHG member, I received: * An email titled "Your InterContinental Reservation" * A "Thank you for choosing InterContinental" * "Here is your reservation information" * "Your Online Hotel Confirmation Number is: 8ALE8WIJ" (yes, I booked online) * My IHG information is provided in the email and the reservation was secured with the credit card on file at IHG. * The hotels address and contact information is provided. * The room information is provided. * From April 23 - 29, 2022 my room status has been confirmed for each and every day (seven days total) * I was provided a cost of $1,813.00 for my stay. * The cancellation policy is explained to me. He had a reservation with a confirmation number, received no prior notice that it would not be honored, and received no assistance in securing a room at another hotel. This is a total failure of the team at the InterContinental. There are MANY hotels in the CBD in New Orleans, my advice is to stay at one of those, and to stay clear of this establishment. My employer will no longer hold ANY event at an IHG property.

We stayed here March 29 and 30, 2023 as part of an American River Cruise package. While the hotel was nice and in a good location, it was a bit noisy at night from the St. Charles trolley. We also had an issue with a charge to our account that was not ours. I called three times to have the charge removed and have never heard back from the hotel. I ended up disputing it with my credit card company. If you stay here, be sure to check your bill before leaving.

We checked in on a Wed afternoon at around 3:30. Checking in was quick and easy. We immediately went to our room on the 11th floor. King size bed. It was a nicely updated room (I don't know if these rooms have been updated or not, just my guess ). The towels were thick which is always a plus. Assorted toiletries (lotion and shampoo) were provided and were plentifully replenished each night. We stayed for 4 nights and only on one occasion were we only left one bath towel after housekeeping had done their thing. We called the front desk and they sent up a more than adequate supply of towels for us. On the 15th floor is a workout area and a small pool. The pool area is a great place for some quiet time (no one was there when we visited the pool). There are several restaurants in the hotel but we didn't eat at any of them so I can't comment on that. The location of the hotel is great for access to Bourbon St . Be sure and bring your waking shoes !!!

We really liked this hotel; we almost always stay in the CBD, but this was our first time at the InterContinental. Excellent location, though auto traffic around the hotel can make for some slow moving to get there. Our room was very comfortable and quiet, high quality toiletries, very clean, very helpful staff. Only two minor complaints: no newspapers or awareness of where to find one, and valet parking car retrieval was very slow (and pricy, but I knew ahead that it would be $47).

This experience was amazing. I loved the room and the bed was so comfy. Rob and Brandy (with a Y... LOL) were amazing!!! They were so funny and made us feel like we had been friends forever!!! They were very accommodating and helpful and I loved every time we saw them at the front desk!!! OMG and if you eat at the restaurant inside the hotel, have the REDFISH!!! YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE!!! Our waiter was amazing!!! He was so kind and sweet!!! We got there late and they were about to close but he still look care of us and treated us so nice!!! Can't remember his name (tall, thin, dark-skinned, long hair (dreads)) I truly enjoyed the entire experience. Oh, and the balconies (to me) were not worth the sacrifice of the space in the rooms. The room WITHOUT the balcony had 1 FULL AND 1 HALF BATH & A SITTING AREA!!! I almost thought I was at home!!! I love love loved it!!! I regret I didn't take more pictures of the room!!! The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star is because of the bartender. She was not very friendly and the drink she made was so tart I could barely drink it and she handled everything with her bare hands. Kinda had me concerned. She never once bothered to even try to put on gloves.

My wife and I stayed there on our trip to New Orleans last weekend. There was so much pot smoke in our hallway, that as soon as we opened the door it was a contact high all the way down the hall to the elevator. The hallway was hazy with pot smoke the whole weekend. We said something to the front desk and they said sorry that's just the way it is? Nope we won't be staying there on our next trip to New Orleans.

I hate having to write this review because I once loved this hotel, and believe me three stars are a stretch. The room was clean and nicely arranged, with a fully stocked refrigerator, I'll give you that. However, we had a coffee maker but it didn't work, the ice maker on our floor wasn't working, trying to watch television was a nightmare because of the horrible reception. They do not offer room service supposedly due to COVID restrictions but I really do not see the logic there. The rooms were pricy, especially requesting one with a balcony, which we did. That was an additional $30 per night and then parking was $47 per day. I wouldn't mind the charges had the hotel been as it once was but the standards have dropped considerably. I actually seen someone eating fried chicken in the lobby with all the fixings spread out and nothing was said to her. Well it is the last time we will stay there but I will try to remember the once grand hotel it was.

The hotel room that I stayed in was clean, spacious, & had a beautiful overlook of the city. It's right next door to several coffee shops. It's a close walk to Bourbon Street & the French Quarter. The bed was comfortable. The room was very quiet.

Visited nola for a conference. Made a reservation for this hotel. Had never really stayed at an intercontinental before though had heard good things about the chain. I had made my reservation many months before the conference. On the day of check in, I had several important lectures and other obligations to attend to, so I called ahead to ask for early check in which they said they'd be able to accommodate though did have a full house. Day of? Attempted to check in early and was told that it wouldn't be possible. Which was okay since I knew others with rooms and places all my belongings in their rooms and as well as got ready in their hotel rooms. Went to the conference and returned late in the afternoon/early evening. Attempted to check in again, still nothing. At that point it was actually hours after normal check in time. They said nothing was available. It wasn't until I pressured them and spoke up did they cave and gave me a room (so they had lied to me when they said nothing was available). The clerk made no apology whatsoever after giving me my card keys. Disappointed, do not recommend.

I'm a Hilton Diamond member but decided to stay at this IHG property. I got an IHG credit card that gave me instant access to the 3rd highest level of Platinum Elite but even if you are the highest member level (Intercontinental Ambassador), you don't get any breakfast or water. The base room are very nice. I could not give it 5 stars because there was no frig, water, slippers and the fam runs continuously. Almost tempted to drop to 3 stars, our room had an adjoining room and it was so loud in the other room. I think the people in the other room just talked too loud but I also think the doors let too much sound through.
