InterContinental Champs-Élysées Étoile (Paris, Île-de-France) Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"An occasion as momentous as a two-year renovation might be worth changing your name for; the InterContinental Paris - Champs-Élysées Etoile, formerly known as the InterContinental Paris Avenue Marceau, is back, and it’s more spectacular than ever. At 55 rooms and suites, it’s substantially smaller than most of the rest of the InterContinental hotels, and thus can combine boutique-hotel intimacy with luxury-hotel grandeur, without contradiction." - Tablet Hotels

Everything from check-in to departure at the property was simply fantastic. From the helpful valet, even with the rain pouring down and a VERY FULL car after a week in Champagne prior to our arrival to the warm reception staff at the front desk and the engaging, friendly and funny concierge, the staff, the vibe and the proximity this property has to the Champs and the rest of the city just made it a wonderful stay. Diamond elite recognition at check in, truffles and a hand written welcome note in our room were just the beginning. Breakfast in the restaurant was top notch, with an impressive selection of hot and cold items and all were high quality (hello fresh squeezed juice!!!). Staff were quick to hand out umbrellas with a smile, and a "stay warm and dry" statement each and every time we walked down to head out and about. The valet staff were so friendly and helpful, we had a a good bit of luggage from a lengthy trip and there were 4 in our party which didn't help either. The concierge team always made sure that we had something fun to do while we were headed out and truly were engaged upon our return hearing about our escapades. The rooms are small (but large by Paris and other European standards) were VERY COMFORTABLE and well laid out. A large window for natural light, a high quality Nespresso machine with a variety of pods all replenished daily. HIGH quality linens on the bed and in the washroom. A fantastic Dyson hair dryer - that my wife simply loved. A fond early morning farewell on our last day as the car was brought around and loaded for us capped off a memorable stay.

Absolutely enjoyed my stay here! Had a beautiful, very clean queen balcony room with an awesome view of the Arc. Perfect location on a quiet street yet a 5 min walk to the Champs for restaurants, stores, patisseries (there is also one across the street). I love that this is a small boutique hotel! And kudos to the staff...when my Uber did an illegal drop off across the street and the driver and I were lugging my bags across, Franck noticed and came running to rescue me and my bags. He scolded the driver for not properly dropping me at the door (didn't always have good experiences with Uber on this trip). Franck welcomed me and seeing that I was a solo traveler, he gave me tips on how to stay safe from pickpockets/scammers and recommended some must sees in the city. Clemont educated me on the difference between Paris licensed taxi drivers (who must attend a special school for 1 year) and Uber drivers (no training...they don't know the streets like the taxis). I had to find this out the hard way when on New Years Eve I took an Uber from Montmartre at 7pm to go back to the hotel and the driver dropped me off close to the Champs (but on the wrong side ) and told me to walk because the streets were all blocked off. I had to navigate the many blocked streets and walk way outside the perimeter and all the way around to get back to the hotel...2 hours later!!! This driver was just lazy and could have driven further out to get me back (Clemont explained that a taxi would have). Oh well...live and learn...only Paris taxis for me next trip.|Big shout out to other staff who provided excellent service...Sandra and Ismail.|I will definitely stay here on my next trip back!!!

We enjoyed our stay at the InterContinental Paris - Champs-Elysées Etoile, a very small and intimate hotel with lots of personal attention from the staff. So reserve your expectations and allow staff to welcome you to a stylish property designed by same architect for Printemps and previous guests (Astoria days) included Winston Churchill, Ernest Hemingway and Charlie Chaplin to name just a few. The hotel is very well located, only 5 minutes from Arc de Triomphe. The breakfast was in a temporary meeting room, but we were not affected by the works and had plenty of choices for local restaurants. We especially liked Cafe André and Le Grand Colbert. The concierge and reception team were very welcoming and helpful, especially Franck who gave us good advice and tips. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Paris.

This hotel is my go to place in Paris, every stay offers an unparalleled experience. It has become my home away from home in Paris. Every visit reconfirms the kindness, attentiveness and personal touch that the remarkable staff extends.||||The location is simply ideal for exploring Paris. A stone’s throw away from the Arc de Thriomphe, Champs Elysees and the Eiffel Tower.||||What really makes this hotel special is the exceptional staff. Nowadays it is very difficult to find a place where such kind, motivated and attentive people are working. Their personalities make every stay a unique experience. Their service is not just professional, it is personal. Every time we arrive, it feels like a warm and welcoming homecoming.||||The suite feels like a modern interpretation of a Parisian apartment. The size is generous and also offers outdoor space. Even during the winter time we try to make use of the terrace. ||||The breakfast is a great start if the day. There is a diverse selection of bread, fruit, cold cuts and much more. Plus you can order hot dishes as well from their breakfast menu. ||||The IC provides a hospitality experience that goes above and beyond. Can’t wait to be back to sample the Christmas vibe.

Stayed here for two nights. Frustrating experience from the get go. Prices dropped substantially weeks prior to our stay however hotel refused to adjust room rate even with a direct booking. Never had this happen before. The junior suite is lovely (but small) however this doesn’t make up for the other issues. Phone didn’t work in the three days and construction noise above in the early morning. Had to walk to front desk every time we needed anything like room service or other missing items due to phone not working. Great location generally speaking. I think with a few adjustments this could be a nice hotel. For 550 euros a night, find a better option.

Traveled to Paris for Business last week. Can't say enough about the exceptional service of the Concierge team (Helene & Jeremie) and the Bellman (Ismael). They were exceptionally gracious and welcoming. I speak very little French and was adjusting to a 9 hour time difference. Helene & Jeremie handled all of my dinner reservations - finding me very nice restaurants in walking distance. The restaurant staffs treated me like a VIP because of the trusting relationship with them. Great dinners with charming atmosphere.||||Ismael always provided a warm welcome (and an umbrella!) when I returned. Great team at the Intercontinental!!

Stayed the week of October 2. Great hotel. Great renovation with beautiful rooms and bathrooms. Rooms are small but we booked a premium room with extra space (but still small). Extremely quiet. Disappointed that our room was not ready at 7pm. Yes, that’s correct. Room was not ready at 7pm. Also surprised at the poor language skills of the front desk to explain why. We were thrown in the bar with a free drink for almost an hour. Got our room near 8pm. We left early and arrived back each day so we never saw hotel leadership to understand why such poor service. The room was worth the $600 but not the service.

The hotel is located on a quiet street nearby Arc de Triomphe. The rooms are on the small side, but generally sufficient for a couple or two member family. There is a nice view from room and I especially appreciate the small box of chocolate on bedside table during our stay. ||The breakfast is superb with a good variety of French pastries and continental food and attentive service.||We travel by Uber so did not use the public transport but it is walkable to major tourist sites. ||The only slightly disadvantage is the relatively small rooms (and we bumped on our arms from bathroom basin.)
