Always wanted to stay at an Intercontinental, and finally got a chance! It's a cool, calm oasis in the midst of the busy city. My room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and a nice view of the city. The gym was decent with treadmills and weights and a spin bike. The pool is neat, it's a wrap around so that's fun

The rooms are great! Had an amazing massage. The restaurants were great, service and staff amazing! Excellent location. Now why am I giving them a 1 star review? Well because apparently you're not allowed to kiss your girlfriend in the pool when literally not one person is in the pool. I'm a 38 year old man that was reprimanded for "public display of affection". I've been to Muslim countries that had more relaxed rules than that. Absolutely ridiculous that I can't have a romantic moment with my girlfriend. Legit was only kissing her, no touchy feely. No indecent exposure. But I get it, in this hotel you can't kiss your girlfriend, got. Won't be coming back! Also added the picture of the pool rules don't see PDA listed as not allowed

We stayed at Intercontinental Hotel on a recent trip to the Dominican Republic. The hotel is conveniently located with good dining options nearby. The hotel has two restaurants and a poolside bar. Customer service is good, we tried using the spa however, they were booked. I recommend making advanced reservations. The rooms are modern, bedding and sleep quality is good. There is a mall and other shopping within close proximity.

I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms are spacious, well-furnished, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. I appreciated the gym, although I did notice the absence of some leg-focused machines and a few additional weights that could improve the workout experience. The pool is also very nice. Breakfast was good, and I especially appreciated the friendly and kind staff. If I had to mention a couple of downsides, the location is a bit far from both the city center and the sea. Also, while I understand it’s common nowadays, I’m not a fan of the non-openable windows.

Currently in the hotel. I am a consistent traveler, I find the beds to be the worst Ive ever had, hard as rock, could barely sleep. Then, Found a roach, tried moving on, only until the next day that it crawled onto my son as he lay down. I was moved to another room, only to be woken up at 3am by what seemed to be noises from within the walls, rodents? Other animals? I dont know, but worst experience in my life in whats supposed to be a top experience luxury 5 star hotel.

Beautiful hotel, great rooms and decor. Very beautiful and clean. People were so friendly and professional. Only negative feedback I have is cold water in the tub. Never gets warm, so I didn't use. But that's first world problems.

I am actually in the Hotel business in DC and represent the number 1 Luxury Hotel in Washington, DC. I have also been in the business for over 45+ years and represented and sold many difference hotel brands and categories. I will say that this hotel was top notch and the service was amazing. I found the hotel to be very accommodating and gracious. The rooms were quite large and the ceiling height amply. The bathrooms were nicely appointed and designed in a very unique way. The bathroom had both a shower stall as well as a soaking tub in the room. The actual size of the bathroom was quite large in comparison to other hotel bathrooms. I also saw that there were many different groups and business meetings taking place. This is the perfect hotel for a business meeting or stay in Santo Domingo. Very professional and international. I would definitely recommend the Intercontinental Hotel Santo Domingo to anyone looking for an excellent experience and impression.

A one night stay with my wife after arriving at the Airport before onward journey to Puerto Plata.||The hotel was everything I would expect of an Intercontinental with large, well fitted out rooms, good F&B facilities and friendly staff. Given some of the surrounding area is very busy, the hotel was an oasis of calm with good views over downtown Santo Domingo from the higher floors.||The Club Lounge was excellent on the 21st floor. Melvin and Ariel made us feel very welcome and there was an excellent choice of canapés in the evening as well as a relaxing atmosphere to take breakfast in the next morning.||Mr Sebastian was super efficient and helpful in the main breakfast area and whilst acting as Front of House on Reception. Nina handled our check-in and was knowledgeable about the IHG rewards programme.||Overall, a pleasant stay which I would happily repeat.
