Fabulous hotel right across from the mall. This hotel has it all! Very beautiful and spacious, clean with 3 restaurants of your liking and great food. The staff was wonderful and they went above and beyond to accommodate me from hotel pick up to drop off at the airport! I went to the spa and the services were great there too. I Highly recommend your stay here!!!

Stayed at the InterContinental and was thoroughly impressed. The service was top-notch, staff was attentive and friendly, and the rooms were clean, modern, and super comfortable. Great location with easy access to everything I needed. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a luxury experience without the stuffiness. I love the hardwood floors versus carpet. It felt more modern and cleaner.

My husband and me stayed here four nights on our two week -travel to Miami- El Salvador and Guatemala. We travel all over the world and can really recommend this hotel. From there the outside it looks like just another large impersonal hotel. But inside it is very beautiful and luxurious. It is just next to a large mall. The pre -booked airport transportation worked very well. The employees were polite and extremely service minded. Most of them speak very well English. The ones who stood out was the lovely lady who greeted us at the breakfast buffet every morning and the therapist in the spa, Edith, who offered a delicious deep tissue massage. The lady at the breakfast cared for the customers in a special and professional way. The breakfast had all kinds of healthy choices. We lik d that. The restaurants in the hotel were good and the price level low compared to Norway where we come from. The pool area was nice and well maintained. (We had a small feedback to the reception about some bird dirt that should be removed. )The bed madrass and the clean sunbed madrasses by the pool were perfect for our taste. We used the gym every day and it was very clean, large and well equipped. The shower, sauna and toilet next to the pool, spa and gym was new and always clean. The waiters were quick to serve coffe and asked if we needed anything. The drinks at the pool were delicious. Our room was cleaned to perfection. Thanks to the person who did it. We were able to keep he room for two extra hours without paying extra the last day. We appreciated that. Thank you for some wonderful and relaxing days. We would love to come back!

I unfortunately didn’t take any pictures or videos of the hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. They have all the amenities your room could use. Tv. Phone. Towels. All the typical stuff. What set this place apart was the service. All employees were very prompt with service, and extremely polite. I had gotten sick while on my stay here. At 3am the hotel was able to accommodate my requests. The hotel is just across the street from a major shopping center, so a super market, and any other stores you can imagine are just a 10 minute walk away. Each restaurant was excellent and fairly priced. And, the hotel is very safe.

I had a very pleasant stay at the Intercontinental San Salvador. Nothing overly fancy, but the hotel has pretty standard rooms and was clean. The location was great as it is next to a big mall, so you can go there for meals if you do not want to eat in the hotel. The amenities were good -- was able to get a good workout at the gym and the pool area is great for relaxing.||||Guillermo at the club lounge was excellent! He made my stay even better, always greeting me with a smile and was very kind.||||All in all, I would return whenever I come back to visit San Salvador.

The best city stay I could ask for. Check in was smooth, I was upgraded for my birthday (such a sweet surprise), and the front desk staff was so nice. ||Xochilt Vigil went out of her way to make me feel special. She even gifted me something at checkout. She made my stay!

Hotel-4 stars…..Probably the best in the area. Rooms were clean. Bed was very comfortable. Felt safe. No issues. Spa-5stars! Received a 90min massage for $74 and it was probably the best massage I’ve ever gotten. Scheduled it a couple hours in advance. Much needed if you are doing the volcano hike. Restaurant- they have a sushi,, Italian, and Brazilian restaurant . I got a pasta dish from the Italian place and it was fine. Bread was very good. Waiter, Alfredo was very nice. My friend ate at the Brazilian place and they said it was good. Hate to share this but it is a safety concern Shuttle- NEGATIVE 5stars. We drove with three other individuals on our trip without issues. We got a hotel shuttle early to get to the airport. The driver was a guy that looked pretty young and was well dressed. While he was driving, he drifted towards a car that honked at him then every few minutes he would drift to the right and to the left, as if he was under the influence or falling asleep. He did this several times, where my friend asked him if he was tired and he blamed it on the road. I kept watching him(and nothing was a concern except for his driving). The driver would also speed up while approaching corners and slow down on straight aways. Mid drive there was a police officer, a totaled car, and three cones in one lane and his reaction was delayed where he swerved last minute. When we got to the airport my friend and I observed him and his eyes were red, but he did not smell like alcohol. My guess is, he was extremely tired or under the influence of drugs. Thankfully, we made it safely to the airport.

Our room was very nice with comfortable beds. We had an issue with the safe not working and the hotel staff responded quickly in fixing the problem. Also the tv remote was not working (minor issue) as we didn’t watch tv much. The staff corrected it a.s.a.p. The breakfast buffet was amazingly full of delicious food options with homemade pupusas and eggs made to order. The waiters were very attentive in making sure we were happy. I can’t wait to go back and eat. Overall the food in the hotel restaurant Picasso was very tasty and reasonably priced.
