This place couldn't possibly be any better! The location is prime! Across the street from everything you could possible need. Hotel is beautiful, clean, staff is very attentive. The restaurants in the hotel is amazing. Highly recommend staying here. You won't be disappointed.

I recently stayed at the InterContinental San Salvador-Metrocentro Mall and overall had a very positive experience. The location is excellent — right across from the huge Metrocentro Mall, so you have easy access to shopping, dining and convenience stores. The room was comfortable, the bed felt very good, and I appreciated the amenities (air-conditioning, good WiFi, etc). Staff at reception and throughout the hotel were friendly and professional, which made the stay smoother. Breakfast and dining were also highlights — the buffet had good variety and the restaurants on site were solid choices. A couple of things to note: If your room faces the busy street or is on a lower floor, you may hear noise in the evenings (there was a concert-event one night and the room was a bit affected). Some rooms show signs of wear (e.g., older décor, minor maintenance issues) — so it’s worth checking your particular room on arrival. Traffic around the hotel can be quite heavy at peak times, which may affect arrival/departure. Verdict: If you’re looking for a convenient, well-service hotel in San Salvador with good amenities and easy access to dining/shopping, this is a solid choice. For maximum comfort, request a higher floor and a room facing away from the street noise. Rating suggestion: ★★★★★ (5/5) I’d recommend staying here and would return, especially if I picked the right room.

The hotel was clean and the location was nice. There was quite a wait at check in. There was a line and at times only 1 person checking guests in. The female clerk kept allowing guest who were already guest to skip in front of us checking in and talk to her about issues. Me and another lady were getting really pissed off about it. Then once we got our room, we kept having to call and ask for wash cloths. Only one wash cloth was being provided for me and my husband every time housekeeping came. Did they expect me and my husband to share a wash cloth to bathe with?? Absolutely not!! The room was also a bit dated and is in need of upgrades. The pool area was nice. I love San Salvador, but I won't be staying here next time.

Best place you can stay in San Salvador. The hotel is dated but so it’s the whole run down city and country. At least it’s connected by walk bridge to the largest mall in the city so you can walk around it. Because there is nowhere else to walk in this sad city. ||Rooms are decently appointed. Just all you need. Housekeeping is good. Wifi too. There are a few bars inside the hotel. Or some cheap restaurants and coffee shops in the mall across the street. ||It’s also sad and tired but if you need to go to this city I recommend the hotel as a safe heaven. Staff are courteous and efficient. Prices are reasonable. Self Parking is free. ||Outside San Salvador I recommend visiting the pacific coast by rental car. Infrastructure is precarious but it’s very pretty. The volcano area and its lush vegetation is quite nice too although there’s no infrastructure around it. You can do all this with short trips from the hotel in a rental car. But overall the country is sad and poor. A long way to go. Poor people.

I unfortunately didn’t take any pictures or videos of the hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. They have all the amenities your room could use. Tv. Phone. Towels. All the typical stuff. What set this place apart was the service. All employees were very prompt with service, and extremely polite. I had gotten sick while on my stay here. At 3am the hotel was able to accommodate my requests. The hotel is just across the street from a major shopping center, so a super market, and any other stores you can imagine are just a 10 minute walk away. Each restaurant was excellent and fairly priced. And, the hotel is very safe.

Stayed at the InterContinental and was thoroughly impressed. The service was top-notch, staff was attentive and friendly, and the rooms were clean, modern, and super comfortable. Great location with easy access to everything I needed. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a luxury experience without the stuffiness. I love the hardwood floors versus carpet. It felt more modern and cleaner.

Hotel-4 stars…..Probably the best in the area. Rooms were clean. Bed was very comfortable. Felt safe. No issues. Spa-5stars! Received a 90min massage for $74 and it was probably the best massage I’ve ever gotten. Scheduled it a couple hours in advance. Much needed if you are doing the volcano hike. Restaurant- they have a sushi,, Italian, and Brazilian restaurant . I got a pasta dish from the Italian place and it was fine. Bread was very good. Waiter, Alfredo was very nice. My friend ate at the Brazilian place and they said it was good. Hate to share this but it is a safety concern Shuttle- NEGATIVE 5stars. We drove with three other individuals on our trip without issues. We got a hotel shuttle early to get to the airport. The driver was a guy that looked pretty young and was well dressed. While he was driving, he drifted towards a car that honked at him then every few minutes he would drift to the right and to the left, as if he was under the influence or falling asleep. He did this several times, where my friend asked him if he was tired and he blamed it on the road. I kept watching him(and nothing was a concern except for his driving). The driver would also speed up while approaching corners and slow down on straight aways. Mid drive there was a police officer, a totaled car, and three cones in one lane and his reaction was delayed where he swerved last minute. When we got to the airport my friend and I observed him and his eyes were red, but he did not smell like alcohol. My guess is, he was extremely tired or under the influence of drugs. Thankfully, we made it safely to the airport.

Fabulous hotel right across from the mall. This hotel has it all! Very beautiful and spacious, clean with 3 restaurants of your liking and great food. The staff was wonderful and they went above and beyond to accommodate me from hotel pick up to drop off at the airport! I went to the spa and the services were great there too. I Highly recommend your stay here!!!
