A very nice place for a private, elegant and well cooked dinner. Food- initial warm, homemade, wholemeal breads were a nice surprise and different from usual breads in other places. The steaks and the lamb were cooked to perfection and the sauces were perfectly balanced ( I believe one of the best chimichurri I have ever tried). Drink-Vast selection of great wines. Too many to try in one night Service- impeccable service. The staff was welcoming, super professional and yet friendly and easily approachable , in particular our hostess Nici, who was patient, friendly and always there when we needed her ! Highly recommend this beautiful place for your special dinners and for those nights you want to treat yourself

My wife and I recently stayed at the InterContinental Hotel at Sanctuary Cove and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The hotel is beautifully presented, peaceful, and feels like a true escape, but what really made the stay exceptional was the service, especially at the Fireplace Restaurant. A special shout-out to Rosalie, our expat french waitress, who was attentive and genuinely delightful. She struck the perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness, and her recommendations were spot on. She recommended trying an espresso martini in the Veranda bar prepared by another French expat, Nico, and I have to say it was probably the best we have had for a long time. And I’m not sure if we wandered into a luxury hotel or accidentally crossed into a little pocket of France. There seem to be French staff everywhere, not that we’re complaining, it certainly added a charming European touch, but I half expected someone wearing a beret to hand me a baguette with breakfast. Overall, a fantastic stay with exceptional service, it is highly recommended, and we will definitely return.

Fabulous experience from check in to check out. (Vivian’s on the front desk is a star) Dinner at The Fireplace was sensational. Excellent atmosphere, service and food. Rosalie was fantastic and such a sweetheart. The staff went out of their way to make my husband’s birthday dinner very special. Will definitely be back.

Our experience at Fireplace was nothing short of incredible. We came in to celebrate our engagement, and from the moment we walked through the door, everything felt warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully curated. The food was exceptional beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and presented with real care but what truly made the night unforgettable were Gretel & Paige. Both of them went above and beyond to make our celebration feel personal and special. Their attention to detail, genuine kindness, and effortless professionalism created an atmosphere that turned a wonderful dinner into a night we’ll always remember. They checked in at just the right moments, offered great recommendations, and made us feel celebrated throughout the entire evening. We can’t recommend Fireplace highly enough especially if you’re lucky enough to be looked after by Gretel and Paige. It was a perfect experience from start to finish.

5 star service. Exceptional staff, the grounds are well kept, beautifully appointed rooms and pools clean, different restaurants to choose from casual, fine dining both exceptional. Good family vibe love the beach pool, the kangaroos 🩷 Breaky buffet good assortment of different food, fresh and consistent. Veronica is absolute stand out, her service is first class, we have owned restaurants and cafes for 20 years and I’ve never seen anything like her! Great attitude, attentive, caring and efficient. Thank you for making our stay special. We will be back! Keep up the good work team.

A Home Away from Home, QLD-Style! As a Sydney-sider who normally runs at a frantic pace, the InterContinental QLD staff forced me to stop, relax, and operate purely on 'Queensland time'—and I am so grateful they did! This hotel isn't just a luxury stay; it has a beautiful, genuine community vibe. From the moment we hit the breakfast area after the first night, we were family. The absolute dream team of Veronica, Sophie, Jube, and Trisha knew us by name, always greeted us with a warm chat, and cleared our plates before we even had a chance to wonder where to put them. And the coffee! Evylin is the barista you wish you could smuggle home. Her personalised coffee orders were always perfect. The breakfast experience was topped off by Chef Quintin, who handled my 'difficult' egg requests like a champ—and by day two, he remembered the order and my name. What a way to start every morning! The entire staff, from Sam at the front desk, breakfast crew to the Pool Lagoon, is willing to go above and beyond to help. If you're looking for world-class service combined with a warm, home-away-from-home feeling, this is the place. Highly recommend!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, perfect for families. Amazing rooms and facilities, especially loved the lagoon pool. The service we received from all staff was exceptional. We enjoyed our stay here. It was even more enjoyable by the staff especially Gretel. She was an absolute delight and provided truly memorable, personalised service. We were incredibly touched that she even remembered my partner's birthday, which made our celebration feel very special.

The InterContinental is a delight to the eyes and the taste buds with fantastic staff. From the moment we arrived, driving through the beautiful gardens to an entrance fit for a king, we were greeted by genuinely happy, helpful, friendly faces, and with none of the 'forced' niceties we often seem to receive an upscale resort where you know they're just paid to smile and be attentive. Absolutely every staff member we encountered, from reception to concierge, valet and the restaurant at breakfast were in all honesty, as lovely as you could imagine. The InterContinental has truly world class service. The resort itself is huge, covers an expanse that could be considered its own suburb, and picturesque to say the least, but for those of us who have trouble walking any distance, you're only a phone call away from a friendly, happy staff member and his limo sized golf cart to take you wherever you need to go. And that includes a small local shopping precinct packed with shops and restaurants at the marina. The rooms are clean, well-appointed and reasonably fresh, with everything you need on hand for a nice relaxing stay, or just a phone call to concierge away. Sadly, we were only staying for one night while attending a party in nearby Paradise Point and did not get a chance to try the restaurant for dinner, which we've heard is quite superb. We were however, lucky enough to enjoy an incredible buffet breakfast with all the trimmings, including real barista made coffee (if you're a lover of coffee, this will mean the world to you) and a lovely omelette made to my personal choice by the skilled chef attending. I have to say, this one night getaway has left us with a very favourable memory and now, we just need an excuse to come back. Very highly recommended.

I really loved this resort. I went there for a work event last week. It had a lovely peaceful . feel to it. The rooms were nice and large and I was fortunate enough to have one with a nice view of the water. The business facility was fairly nice. The food at the event was good. Service was excellent. The most fun was riding around the resort in the golf carts. The bell staff was absolutely outstanding. The resort is accompanied with a golf course and with what we would call in the US condos. The property also includes a shoppping village which looked quite nice. I would love to visit again on vacation to really get the full enjoyment out of such a lovely resort.

I came here to get some time to myself and allow for thought, relaxation and contemplation. It's exactly the right place for that. Although it was at full capacity, the whole place is expansive enough that you can get away on your own if you want to. There's plenty of garden areas, walking, poolside and indoor areas to sit. The weather was wonderful and the early mornings are a dream. Service is generally good, but it suffers when the staff are stretched in busy times. Concierge and reception staff are very good. Restaurants are okay. Rooms are very well appointed. My suite was large, lovely and had a wonderful lagoon view. Bathroom is great, plenty of shelf room, great shower, lots of good towels and loads of hot water (although it takes a while to come through). Comfortable bed and good lounge furniture. Housekeeping staff are lovely. Wireless is excellent quality. The surrounding area is interesting to explore, but you'll need a car. I will definitely come here again, it's just what I needed.

After earning points through work trips to IHG resorts in other locations, I decided to take my partner and cash-in my reward night at this resort. I am a gold elite status member with IHG (only one tier higher than base membership). Upon arrival, I was greeted by the fantastic staff as a gold elite member and notified I could check in over two hours early, and I was upgraded for free to the Queenslander Suite. This essentially meant instead of a standard bedroom, we now had a larger bathroom and a seperate living area. At 3PM, we received a knock on the door and were delivered three delicious macaroons. The facilities at this hotel were fantastic. The pools were clean, the human-size chess was a spectacle and the staff never once walked past without saying hello. This stay has made me realise that IHG really value loyalty. I was very impressed by this hotel and recommend it to anyone who wants a night away from Brisbane!
