InterContinental Shanghai Pudong

The rooms are a little dated, but we love the level of service throughout the hotel. We always book with IHG Club Lounge access. The quality and variety of the food are outstanding, even compared to other hotels. We especially love the exceptionally high level of service from Lily, Anne, Annie, Arin and the whole team!! We feel very much welcomed. String recommandation.

Even this hotel is an older property it's very well maintained and has a Timeless classic elegance about it throughout the public areas at the rooms. I was upgraded at my room was massive. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the bathroom well appointed. Staff in the executive lounge were impeccable. The hotel is about a six minute walk from the nearest subway but it's flat. I would definitely return.

The staff were great, Dianna helped us with an early and late check in/out. ||The sauna and gym were great, the pool was not great as there were swimming lessons in for kids Everytime we used it so not very relaxing. ||Hotel is showing its age but the room was nice and spacious. AC didn't cool very well, woke up in a sweat both nights but wasn't terrible.

It was our anniversary. They upgraded us and even gave us a room number that means I love you in chinese (1520), honestly that was really sweet of them, even gave us a wine bottle as a gift. The staff is so friendly and kind. We delivered some items and they were delivered when we were out, they collected it and kept it safely with them at the lobby. Their food (we ordered it in our room) was amazing. One of the best stay I have ever had. Really recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Shanghai,

The hotel is nice and clean, the staff on the door and the concierge are very helpful. We had a room with access to the club lounge, lily, Anne and Yvonne couldn’t do enough for you. They were helpful, always attending to your needs with efficiency and professionalism. It has been a pleasure staying here.

The hotel is atrium style with corridors as balconies Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Well soundproofed with huge floor to ceiling windows Bed is large and comfortable with crisp linens. Towels are big and fluffy. The bathroom is spacious but the shower head is heavy and old fashioned. The shower over the bathtub did not work Breakfast provides a massive selection of foods with good pastries and breads. Coffee is delicious and made by a barista Location is a short pleasant ten minute walk to metro Renovation work is in progress around the back of the hotel but we were not disturbed by it as our room did not face that direction

After getting off a 14 hour flight, a good night's sleep in a relaxing and comfortable hotel is what I hope for. That's what I get every time I stay at the Intercontinental Hotel-Shanghai Pudong. The staff are all wonderful. Only good experience with everyone I came in contact with. The breakfast is wonderful, the staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and it's conveniently located near lots of shopping and dining options. Whenever I am in Shanghai for a show, I stay there.

I had terrible stay at this property. Due to winter months the hotel had switch off the air con. When I arrive outside temp 29 deg C and no air con the room was very hot. I switch on the thermostat but no cooling only fan blowing and got very bad sewer smell. The duty manager also could not take the smell and offered to change my room..I did not change the room because the other room had same problems to hot..I kept complaining and after 2 days stay they turn on the chill water for air con cooling. I suffered for 2 days and I ask for refund for the 2 days i stay out of 4 with no air con and sewer smell.. while checking in they took deposit and assured me the deposit will be cancelled on check out and the bill amount will be settled with new charge to credit card.However on check out they could not cancel deposit and took more than one hour to check out. I insisted on written letter to confirm deposit will be canceled. The breakfast food very ordinary and over crowded. The lifts were the slowest anywhere in the world. short horrible experience.
