InterContinental Tashkent, an IHG Hotel (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"You certainly can’t accuse the InterContinental group of failing to live up to their name. In fact it’s increasingly the case that the first proper luxury hotel in an emerging travel destination will be found under the IHG banner. That’s true, at least, of the InterContinental Tashkent, a 216-room luxury hotel situated within the Trilliant Business Park complex, a mixed-use commercial, convention, and retail development just off the city’s central Amir Temur Square." - Tablet Hotels

The hotel as such is flawless. Stuff is working smoothly, rooms are technically very good and meticulously clean. But to be honest for the price tag they charge, there might be better options. Comparing my experience in their junior suite with my experience in a regular suite of the Mercure I clearly prefer the latter - which was not only double the space and a lot of nice treats but also coming at a smaller price and with a better breakfast. Because breakfast in the Intercontinental looks better than it actually is. Especially as a chest not to take the Turkish delights which are decorated at the entrance to the breakfast area. They are simply not fresh… ||To give you an idea how far this hotel is neglecting the economical reality in Usbekistan: for three small bowls with strawberries and blueberries - at a time at which these are flooding the markets - the restaurant wants to charge you around $50. So clearly this hotel is run with a “we take whatever we can ask” attitude. So if you independent of how many millions you have you still have some feeling for the connection between service received and money paid and do the comparison to the local market, you might simply feel overcharged… But once again: it’s a technically flawless hotel.

My wife and I have experienced most of the leading hotels in Tashkent, but the InterContinental Tashkent is in a league of its own. We arrived to celebrate our 6-year wedding anniversary, and thanks to an extraordinary group of staff, left with memories we’ll treasure forever.||A rescue mission before we even arrived |A visa delay nearly derailed the trip. Komila at the front desk and Mukhammadali in Reservations called the authorities, kept us calm, and even adjusted our booking so we could keep our dates. Their proactive kindness turned anxiety into relief.||Warmth that starts online and blooms in person Guest-relations stars Sadriddin and Ozoda sent reassuring emails and remembered our anniversary. When we finally arrived, Dilfuza guided us through a super smooth check-in along with other staff members who welcomed us with pomegranate juice and moist towelettes. ||A room reveal worthy of a rom-com |We opened our door to find rose petals spelling “6 YEARS ❤️,” balloons, welcome fruit, wine, and a personalized cheesecake platter—pure magic after a long week.||Club Lounge service that treats you like family Up in the lounge, Otabek greeted us and warmly engaged in pleasant conversation while providing excellent service. He even kindly snapped a Polaroid keepsake of us to commemorate our happy occasion. Breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails were all wonderful.||My wife summed it up perfectly:|“They cared for us like family. If you have a special occasion, you’re guaranteed a perfect day here.”||We couldn’t agree more. InterContinental Tashkent turned a stressful visa saga into the most heart-warming anniversary imaginable. Thank you, Komila, Mukhammadali, Sadriddin, Ozoda, Dilfuza, Otabek, and everyone behind the scenes. You didn’t just host us, you adopted us.||We can’t wait to come “home” again!

The bed and pillows were wonderful! Very soft and comfortable. Services in Nomads and Club Lounge were great. Special shoutout to Avnar in Nomads, his service was spectacular and very welcoming as well. ||Some improvements can be done in Ember restaurant. The service was a bit off. Didn’t remove the extra set of cutleries, waited 5 mins to get seated even when it was almost empty.

I purchased a membership at the E’quilibruim gym in this hotel, and I received the greatest help from Muhibakhon. She is a very kind, warm-hearted, and dedicated young woman. I was very pleased with her assistance.|Apart from that, I had breakfast, but I didn’t like the girl downstairs in Nomad restaraunt. I don’t know her name, but she was quite rude in her manner.|Everything else was great. I really enjoyed my stay.|Special thanks to the hotel team, especially Muhibakhon, for everything!

Although the staff strives to excel, the hotel still struggles to deliver a truly 5 star experience. The outdoor terrace looks like it's been abandoned and other smaller aspects related to guest comfort are still lacking: toiletries bolted to the wall in the bathroom (giving more of a motel vibe than a luxury hotel), bathroom makeup mirror not adjustable for guests shorter than 6 foot being 2 notable examples. Room service has made significant improvements with all orders delivered within 30 minutes, and staff being more proficient in English. Overall, very good progress, but still a work in progress.

Stayed for 3 night in a suite with wife and 2 smaller kids. Hotel is new (2023) and has great amenities. Service great. Breakfast great. 17th floor terrace great. Housekeeping could be better, there was no turn down service in the evening 2 out of 3 nights. Club lounge could also use some improvements. All in all a great hotel with a great location. Staff very polite and happy to help with everything. Would definitely stay here again!

Luxurious hotel in the centre of Tashkent, nearly everything was perfect during my stay there. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the following. 1. The Ember restaurant on the 17th floor played extremely loud dance music, meaning that me and my colleagues had to scream at each other over the table to be heard. Surely, some quieter, more appropriate background music would be better to enhance the dining environment. The other issue was that the beer was warm and the glasses were not chilled, so not very pleasant to drink. The food itself was average at best, small portion sizes and vastly overpriced. 2. The Nomad restaurant on the ground floor lacked atmosphere due to lack of diners. When I was there, I was the only diner and my colleague also had the same experience. The food was ten times better than Ember and the beer served cold in chilled glasses. I think really they should keep the Nomad just for breakfast and improve Ember to be a really good restaurant to the same standard as Nomad. 3. The automatic lights near my room door kept randomly coming on and off during the night. I am not sure if this was a fault, or a spider or mouse setting off the sensor, either way it disturbed my sleep. As I said, the 3 above were minor points. I wouldn't recommend eating in the hotel but would definitely recommend staying. The rooms were very clean and of good size. All staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. I would not hesitate to stay again.

I had a wonderful experience at InterContinental Tashkent. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, making every moment of my stay smooth and enjoyable. The facilities are top-notch — modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed for both comfort and convenience. The location is perfect, offering easy access to key spots around the city. And the breakfast? Outstanding. A wide variety of fresh, delicious options with something to suit every taste. Truly a five-star experience in every sense. I would gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tashkent.
