Intercontinental The Red Sea Resort by IHG

We spent a delightful 3 days at this amazing hotel during its early days. I can’t wait to return already and my young daughter that asked we stay 10 nights next time. The island setting and end to end holiday experience from the moment arriving to Red Sea International was perfect and seamless. The only think we about to think was deciding the colour of the car! 💙🩷 The island villas remind me of the Maldives but the swimming in the lagoons is much much safer with gentle currents. And the air less humid. For me, a major draw as we look for winter sun coming from Europe. We visited during Ramadan and everything was open as normal, which was a major draw for our last minute decision to visit. Our 2 bedroom beachfront villa was fantastic and the cleaning / turndown staff detailed in a wonderful way. Excellent beachside mocktails made with joy! We loved the spa, sauna, restaurants, kids club, pools, and amzingly generous staff and most of all the sea! 🏝️ Special thanks to Majed and the whole team for the details and making my daughter (age 4) so happy on the trip.

Our stay at the InterContinental Red Sea Resort was truly magnificent from start to finish. Every detail reflected excellence — from the warm welcome to the outstanding service throughout our stay. The hospitality was exceptional, and the food was simply outstanding. A very special thank you to FaY and Alhassan for their genuine care, professionalism, and continuous support. Their attention to detail truly elevated our experience, along with the incredible InterContinental team who made us feel valued and at home. A special shoutout as well to the talented chefs at Daren Restaurant — Chef Ayob, Abeeḍ, Ahmad, Besho, and Fadi. The quality of the food was exceptional, and every dish was crafted to perfection. The flavors, presentation, and overall dining experience were absolutely remarkable. We can’t wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone seeking luxury, comfort, and unforgettable hospitality.

The hotel is in an exceptional location and everything about the stay was absolutely perfect. Two things truly stood out. First, the food: both breakfast and dinner were outstanding. The restaurant offers authentic, traditional dishes with a truly unique and refined flavor profile, every meal was a delight. Second, and even more impressive, was the staff. Their kindness, flexibility, and genuine hospitality went far beyond anything we could have expected. Every request we had was handled effortlessly and with a smile. Special thanks to Aya and Ibrahim, who took exceptional care of us and truly made our stay memorable. We will most definitely return.

Experiencing one of the great projects in my beloved country left us genuinely impressed. The attention to the smallest details on Shura Island, the natural beauty of the island, and the overall level of service were outstanding. From the moment we arrived, we experienced exceptional hospitality unlike anywhere else. Despite opening just 18 days ago, the resort team delivered outstanding customer care with a genuine focus on guest satisfaction. They even celebrated my birthday throughout the resort in the most thoughtful ways.||We stayed in the Beachfront King Suite, where Mr. Yousef AlBaghdadi ensured our comfort at all times. Dinner at Daren Restaurant by Chef Fares was excellent, enhanced by live music. Our feedback on the breakfast buffet was well received, and overall the food experience was very good, with more restaurants opening soon.||Kayaking with WAMA, supervised by Amar and Abdullah, was fun and well organized with brand-new equipment. The Wellness SPA was the highlight of our stay — beautifully designed facilities, a naturally lit gym, and exceptional yoga sessions with Master Nagaraj.||This stay alone convinced me to renew my IHG Ambassador membership. The Red Sea has truly become my future escape, and I can’t wait to return.

We spent four amazing nights at InterContinental Red Sea, and it was truly one of the most memorable resort experiences we have ever had. The hotel is absolutely stunning. The views, the landscape, and the overall island design are breathtaking. Every detail feels carefully thought out, and the greenery throughout the island adds a calm and beautiful atmosphere that makes the place feel truly special. Despite the fact that my wife was unfortunately sick during our stay, the experience remained exceptional thanks to the incredible hotel team. The staff and the clinic went above and beyond to support us and make sure we were comfortable, which meant a lot to our family. Our kids had an absolute blast. The front beach is beautiful and perfect for families. A big thank you to the pool lifeguards for organizing fun games and making the kids’ time at the pool so enjoyable. Their energy and care really stood out and made the experience even more memorable for our children. The dining experience was outstanding. We truly enjoyed breakfast and dinner at Darine Restaurant, with its delicious Moroccan cuisine and wonderful atmosphere. Lunch and snacks at Shimes were equally enjoyable and perfectly complemented our days by the beach. A special thank you to Mahdi, Hamza, Asiri, and Florina for the amazing food, warm hospitality, and for making us feel at home throughout our stay. The service across the resort was exceptional. A heartfelt thank you to Ali Alyami for making our stay truly special and personal. As an IHG Platinum member, I have traveled to many island resorts around the world, and I can confidently say this hotel is truly one of the best. The service here deserves 10 stars. The island design, the greenery everywhere, and the attention to detail made this an unforgettable experience for my entire family. Side note to Red Sea management regarding transportation: As I understand, transportation is managed by the Red Sea entity rather than the hotel itself. We arrived by car, and the parking and pickup process was unfortunately quite challenging. It was difficult to find where to park, and the pickup took a long time. We also noticed that many other guests experienced the same issue. It would be great if transportation could be fully integrated and included within the hotel rate to create a seamless experience. We had to complete multiple emails and forms just to arrange transportation, and simplifying this would greatly enhance the overall guest journey. Overall, this was an incredible stay, and this small logistical point does not take away from how special this hotel is. We truly look forward to coming back again.

My experience in the Intercontinental Spa was phenomenal! I had the 90-minute Muscle Melt Massage with Jezebel, and it was honestly one of the best massages I’ve ever experienced. From start to finish, it was deeply relaxing and incredibly effective at releasing tension. Jezebel has an amazing touch—firm where needed, gentle where it mattered—and I left feeling completely refreshed, lighter, and pain-free. Truly worth every minute. Highly recommend if you want real relaxation and muscle relief.

Had a day pass at Intercontinental resort pool. Enjoyed the variety of kid friendly pool and the kind hospitality of the staff. Special thanks to Joffreys and his colleague at the pool restaurant. Also special thanks to Mr. Abdulaziz the lifeguard who provided us with pool and beach towels. Bathroom was spacious and well equipped with all needed stuff. Definitely recommend this hotel for others
