We stayed in a private double room with a shower, and while it was really spacious, but I found it quite dimly lit. The room only had two warm-colored lights and two floor lamps, which made it challenging to have enough light, especially at night.
The cabinet was also spacious, providing ample storage for my belongings. However, I noticed that towels are only changed every three days, and the rooms are not made up daily. This is not the usual service you would expect from a hotel; it really feels like a hostel with a mostly self-service approach.
On the plus side, there is a common lounge area equipped with a sink, microwave, and kettle, where outside food is allowed. This was convenient for preparing meals. However, I found the breakfast options to be quite repetitive, which could be improved.
Best thing about the hostel is its around 1 minute walk from interlaken ost station.
Overall, my experience wasn’t bad, but if you’re looking for traditional hotel services, this may not meet your expectations. It’s a decent option if you’re okay with a more laid-back and self-sufficient atmosphere.
