Interlaken Youth Hostel

Location wise, this can't be beaten. Only a few minutes away from the station so you don't have to worry about time. Amenities are basic but clean, and there's a pool table in the lobby if you know how to play. One thing to note is that for the women's bathroom on the first floor there's a cubicle that has stunning views of the stream outside, but keep in mind that everyone has a view of you midstream too! 😅

We stayed in a private double room with a shower, and while it was really spacious, but I found it quite dimly lit. The room only had two warm-colored lights and two floor lamps, which made it challenging to have enough light, especially at night. The cabinet was also spacious, providing ample storage for my belongings. However, I noticed that towels are only changed every three days, and the rooms are not made up daily. This is not the usual service you would expect from a hotel; it really feels like a hostel with a mostly self-service approach. On the plus side, there is a common lounge area equipped with a sink, microwave, and kettle, where outside food is allowed. This was convenient for preparing meals. However, I found the breakfast options to be quite repetitive, which could be improved. Best thing about the hostel is its around 1 minute walk from interlaken ost station. Overall, my experience wasn’t bad, but if you’re looking for traditional hotel services, this may not meet your expectations. It’s a decent option if you’re okay with a more laid-back and self-sufficient atmosphere.

The hostel is right nect to the train station so you don’t have to worry about what time you arrive in Interlaken. Breakfast is provided so that helps a lot for those travelling on a budget. Rooms were clean. However the plug point was lose and I was not able to use the charger at my bed. There were still other plugs which were working fine. The view from the hostel was also really nice

I never booked hostels but this was the first hostel , I really enjoyed and would like to book again if I visit Interlaken... The rooms are good and the service is also good... Very good breakfast and good staff. But you have to take soap and shampoo with u because they don't attach bathrooms somehow that is what the hostel is, moreover their bathrooms are in good shape. Go for it. You will like it.

This place really changed my perception if what a youth hostel can be. Yes, they provide inexpensive rooms but it also a place of community togetherness and a place you can meet clients and enjoy a beer. Rooms are immaculately clean-better than many hotels-and the staff are super friendly. Beer is great too! 👍 👌 😀

The check-in time is 3 pm, but the check-out time is way too early at 10 am. Most people come here for a vacation, so they should offer some flexibility with check-in times. Maybe they could have an option for an earlier check-in or a late checkout, and charge an extra fee for those. That way, people can still have a good time without feeling rushed.

The location is near Interlaken OST and COOP, staffs are amazing and friendly. If you want to store your luggage it is Free. I booked familly room with private balcony and bathroom it was amazing, the mattress is comfortable The breakfast menu is limited but it was good price

I love everything about this hostel. Location is just beside the Interlaken Ost station. Easy to find. From station, just go to the right. It is just next building. Harder Kulm is just walking distance from hotel. There is big coop and few shops nearby. Restaurant is just nearby. Easy to find food even Indian cuisine also here. Souvenir shop near the bridge is cheaper than any other area. Keychain 5 for chf25.My room have an amazing view. Wake up in the morning with the mountain view is just fascinating.I booked mixed dorm of 4 because cheap price. But along the stay of 3 days, we are lucky enough to have only 2 of us in the dorm. Appreciate it much.There is Lounge with kettle, microwave, tv and eating area inside. They are lots of shower room, and separated washroom, just near to the room.I love the breakfast. Even the cornflakes is tasty. We can make hot chocolate from machine. They have a common area with pool table, sofa, kids area. The staff is very nice, make a good start there.I just in love with everything from this hostel.
