Internacional Design Hotel

The hotel is extremely well located, rigth on Rue Augusta. Check-in and check-out were fast. We had included a comment that it was an anniversary trip and they welcomed us with a bottle of sparkling wine and chocolates - Great detail, thank you 🤗 All staff were always attentive and willing to assist - Sofia, Pedro, Raquel, Maria...all fantastic🥇 Breakfast was great in the restaurant ('Bastardo') downstairs that is part of the hotel, as well as 'Dame e Vagabundo' (Pizza & Pasta). We will miss you all. We'll definitely stay here when going to Lisbon. Thanks a lot, Muito Obrigado!!!🤗

Got one of the smaller and cheaper rooms, as I just had a one-night layover in Lisbon. The hotel is somewhat hard to find, and you will easily miss the anonymous entrance. Once you do, however, it serves as a good starting point to explore the city centre. Walking distance to the metro and several bus stops should you wish to explore further afield. However, the area in the immediate vicinity of the hotel is quite touristy, so prepare to be pestered by marijuana sellers and other harmless riffraff. The room was small, but nice, and had all the amenities one would expect. Great plus with the coffee maker in the room, did not expect that for this price. The hotel is located between some quite busy streets, and I was concerned there would be noise from the outside during the night. However, I didn't notice anything. Very courteous and helpful staff. Breakfast is served in an adjoining restaurant. Small, buffet style that had something for everyone. All in all, a great stay and I'd stay again next time in Lisbon. PS: the hotel has actual, working A/C which is worth the stay in itself.

Stayed here in July 2025 with a friend. Air conditioner was working perfectly, room was neat and clean, decent size for Europe. Our room faced the square, I’m a light sleeper and had no issues with noise. Front desk staff was accommodating and was nice they offer to refill your water bottle daily. Location is great walking distance to all major sites. Great value hotel, I would stay here again

The absolute best two things about this hotel are its location (perfect!) and its staff (friendly and very helpful!). We stayed in this hotel for a week, and I realized why it is recommended by so many blogs and travel books. It is clean and very comfortable with large rooms. It is right on a major square with the main street for restaurants, bars, and attractions literally right outside the door. All of the subway, bus, and tram lines are literally within one block. We were able to walk to all of the major city attractions easily from here, and our only need for a train was our trip to Belem. The staff here are amazingly helpful and knowledgeable about the area, and they will do almost anything to be accommodating. We had a very nice room with a view of the square and windows that we could open to access a very small balcony. It was a perfect spot for relaxing and people watching. The buffet breakfast was really nice every morning with made to order eggs and omelettes and plenty of options for all diet preferences, as well as great coffee/cappuccino machines, and even champagne for mimosas! Also, for its location and amenities, I would consider this hotel to be a great value. We would definitely stay here again and we will recommend it to others!

Awesome location! Had a great stay at the hotel - July 9-14. Very central location and good staff. Restaurant - was great for breakfast. Did not try any other meals/food, due to the prevalence of variety of restaurants and food types in the neighbourhood. Unfortunately did not use the VIP 25% discount or the complimentary wine at the restaurant. Water was available, but peculiarity was the counting of inventory and strictness of their "bottles". Could not get a hang of that.

Amazing service with super friendly staff who made me feel very welcome. The room was spotless, quiet, and beautifully maintained—perfect for relaxing after a day out. The location is fantastic too, with everything within walking distance. Breakfast was nice, though it could have offered a few more options for plant-based diets. Overall, I absolutely loved my stay here and would definitely come back!

A 3-star hotel in my mind. For the price I wouldn't recommend it though. There is a strong smell of sewer in the whole room. The toilet seat was loose. No space in the bathroom to put your stuff and the button to turn off the TV was broken. The TV was on when we first entered the room so I guess noone had bothered to try and fix it. Unfortunately there was mold in the bathroom and a frosted glass door so there is no privacy.

Great hotel with a fantastic location! Rooms very well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast was worth the 10 euros, great selection and the prosecco was an added bonus! Bar in the evening for drinks was perfect! Francesco (spelling?) bartender was so friendly and super fun!

We came across this hotel on Priceline and decided that we were going to come to Portugal and stay at this hotel. What a pleasant surprise and a great choice this hotel was. It's central to everthing Lisbon has to offer and close to all of the amenities and some great restaurants and food places and the yellow bus. The hotel staff are unbelievable and a great resource for information on what to do where to go and what to eat. I want to especially give Christina a shout out. Christina is an incredible human being and a great ambassador for this hotel. She has been wonderful from the very beginning.. I think Christina works mostly at night, but she's such a breath of fresh air. The day we got here the elevator was broken, and she single-handedly insisted on taking four of our cases upstairs to the third-floor. Needless to say, we really didn't want her to, but she insisted, and that for me is service that goes beyond just a broken elevator. She was so considerate that she didn't want us to climb three flights of stairs, which we were perfectly capable of doing, and she took us through. This secret elevator also known as the service elevator. I think the hotel could do with some updating, which is why I didn't give this five stars. The rooms are tiny the carpets really really need either replacing or serious cleaning, but the people make up for what us Americans would consider some shortcomings in the actual hotel like the carpet in the hallways. Incidentally, the bedrooms does not have carpets. I love that. This place has an incredible sense of humor and they have cute little sayings all over the place. My favorite saying is right at the front door which happens to be double glass doors and they have a sticker on the door that says" hello. My name is Glass. ". Needless to say they put that there, because so many people wanted to make close friends with the glass doors . Love this place and the people that work here please visit them.

Location, location! Great spot with easy access to everything going on here. Whether you are touring the castle, shopping or dining this place is in the heart of it. A bit pricey for the size room we had which was just big enough for me to comfortably tie my shoes. Ah, and the only window was about the size of a shaving mirror. No, you won't find a picture of this room in the ads, the camera won't fit. That said, it has what you need if you don't want to spend much time in your room. The staff was outstanding and the buffet breakfast was better than most.

Awesome hotel that is worthy of their four star rating. The location is in the heart of the city center AND is super easy to get from the airport. Take the Aerobus and get off at the last stop Rossio Square and the hotel is right across and the street. The bus was 4 Euro and only a 15 minutes ride from the airport and the bus comes often. I booked my room directly through hotel's website instead of a third party. Even though the hotel prices are in euro the post conversion rate was cheaper and it came with breakfast. Warning some of the third party sites don't include breakfast in the price. I highly recommend the breakfast it from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM and had a great selection. The hotel staff speaks fluent english and they walked us up to our hotel room. A complementary port was served we had the choice between a white and red port. I made a special request for the Zen room and I was super excited this room I recieved-they have several room styles. The room comes with a bathrobe and slippers and has a Nespresso coffee machine. I requested an additional blanket as I like lots of blankets. Overall, the hotel is great value and comes with free high speed wifi. I highly recommend and the beds are super comfortable.

I love this hotel and had the nicest stay there! The place was super cute and had a really nice shower! The restaurant was very good and my included breakfast was so yummy with a huge variety. The best part was how helpful the staff was! Riccardo and Jorge were the concierges. They helped me So much !! I am so appreciative to their help and directions! They gave great recommendations and thorough directions! They made my trip to Lisbon a huge success! Also, he location is awesome being right downtown and walking distance to so many cool places ! A fab hotel ! Would stay again!

Hubby and I just returned from Lisbon and spent the first few days at his hotel. We bought the room on Booking.com and got a really great rate. The location was ideal, especially since it was our first time in the city. It was central to lots of stuff that you'll need as a first-time visitor - taxis, food, tour buses, historic sites, shopping and ATMs. It is also a great area to experience on foot. The room itself was a bit tight, particularly for a four night stay, but it was clean, had good in-room coffee and a nice street view. Bath robes and slippers for two were provided. The shower was a bit weird, but we eventually figured it out:) Aside from its location, the best part of this hotel was the staff and the breakfast. The front desk is open 24/7 and they provided us with everything from help with local wine selections, bus tour deals and advice on the best seafood restaurants (one of which was Cervejaria Ramiro). I had a mid-night print job that I needed help with and at 12:30am, the front desk assistant set me up and I printed away - super helpful!! English is spoken by all staff members, but they don't mind you practicing your Portuguese on them. The breakfast was impressive for two reasons, 1) the food and 2) the morning light coming in from the windows. The restaurant is located in a beautiful space on the 2nd floor that oversees one of Lisbon's many historical squares. I was impressed with the spread of eggs, smoked salmon, espresso, "American" style coffee, and local products such as cheese, honey, fruit spread and pastries (hubby loved the sausage and ham). Did I mention the bottomless mimosas? Next to the fruit juices is a bottle of champagne that you can use as desired - we made mimosas. You can purchase the breakfast as part of your room or pay for it separately for 15 Euros.

Great location. Friendly staff. Crappy WiFi. Rooms are a bit small but clean. Great restaurant and amazing spicy caipirinhas!!

If you're in Lisbon this is the place to stay. We stayed here for three nights and had a wonderful time. The hotel, centrally located, is within walking distance of many restaurants and attractions. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Our room was clean and the maid service excellent. Breakfast in their restaurant (included with room) was excellent and plenty to chose from. On our last night there we were leaving before breakfast was served and without us asking the front desk offered to have breakfast delivered to our room. When in Lisbon stay here; you will not regret it.

Excellent on every level!! Located in Rossio Square, the location couldn't be more perfect! Close to shops, restaurants and just steps away from transit. From the moment Anna (front desk) greeted us upon arrival, we knew we had chosen the perfect hotel. The entire staff of Internacional Design Hotel was friendly, professional and extremely helpful. Having a very limited amount of time in Lisbon, they helped us by recommending tours, restaurants and made reservations for us. The room did not disappoint as well....it was modern, luxurious, quiet and the view was just beautiful!! I can't say enough about this hotel.....very impressed!!! Looking forward to going back to Lisbon, and will definitely stay here again!

Awesome experience. Room is amazing with an extremely large bed and television. Excellent service from the moment you walk in to check out. In the evenings, staff will bring you desserts to try out! Also, the hotels restaurant and bar is amazing! I would highly recommend this place!

Absolutely recommendable. Great service, nice authentic people, great design, perfect location. I travel quite a bit for work ... This hotel is definitely among my top 3 in the last 4 years
