International Hotel

We were lucky to find this hotel as I did remember my friends have been there last year. We supposed to stay on Hotel Hermes our short 4night stay, but because of the awful moldy smell in the room we could not stay there. High season, but nicest staff had/found one room for us. Staff is the first thing I have to say, all of them were so nice and helpful. Location is the next thing. Its close to everything yet really quiet area. Hotel is clean and simple as the room as well. Our bathroom (room201) was bit small thow. Breakfast was quite simple, but more than enough for us anyway. I would say the price/quality ratio is really good in this hotel. I do like smaller hotels so its not too many people there:) Would recommend this hotel!

After my 3rd stay at the hotel, I was completely disappointed with it.||Since I don't stay too much in a room, I have chosen this ex 2 star, now afer refurbished reception and toilets in a 3-star hotel, bearing in mind a nice quiet street and central location.||When you come for the 3rd time to the same hotel, year after year, you expect to be treated much more in a friendly way. But no, instead of a room, I was given a small cave (308 cave) which is supposed to be a „single" room. I realized that the light was lacking, so I complained at reception. After the young boss told me where the light was supposed to be (above the curtain), I found a broken BLUE bulb surrounded by dust. Like it was a blue-light district in Rhodes. The old boss was very rude in answering my complaints and didn't want to change my room - the hotel was „full", even though you could find a free room on booking.com for that night. After misbehaving of the old boss, I was proposed to switch rooms the next day. But NO, they didn't switch my room, 'cause I was asking at 3 PM, not in the morning, cleaning ladies finished their shift for that day... Lies after lies. What a disappointment.||Economy breakfast, with poor quality ingredients, smelly, soapy „ham", colored water with a scent of juice, and bad coffee. Luckily, you can find a superb bakery across the street and have a normal breakfast with pies, rolls, and superb coffee.||Old, outdated towels are replaced every 3 days.||Bed creaked every time I changed my position…|| ||Only one plug is in the normal position, which is used by the fridge. The other two plugs were in a worthless position.|| ||Some years you will pay for air conditioning, some years not, depending on the mood of the person in reception.||Some years you can pay city tax by card, the other years only in cash, on the first day.||Long story short, everything depends on the daily mood of the person in reception.||Positive things – stable TV signal (good for matches), ok wi fi, you can open window while air con is working|

We spent 7 days at International Hotel for our summer vacation. The hotel has an amazing location, comfortable albeit smaller rooms and very kind staff. Hygiene is on a very high level, and during our short stay, we had our shhets changed once and fresh towels on a daily basis. If you are looking for a value for money option while staying in Rhodes, this is a great choice.

Pros:|- Great location - 500m from the beaches, 1.2 km from the Old Town of Rhodes, ports.|- Polite staff.|- Clean.|- We were at room 202 - we had never had 2 balconies. The room was spacious, so was was the balcony facing the street. |- Breakfast - it's basic but there is everything one would like to have for breakfast. We are not picky and if we have eggs, cheese, fruits and coffee, we are just fine :) ||Cons:|- Noisy - there were some noisy neighbors - some left early in the morning and woke us up dragging their suitcases, etc. Others stayed outside and kept talking all night. There is a bar on the next street and we could hear each goal during the Euro 2024 :D Last but not least, there were birds making these strange sounds that woke up us. Thank God I had brought earplugs with me.||If you want to spend your holiday at this hotel, just bring earplugs cancelling all noises and you'll be good.

After reading a lot of reviews about all the hotels in the area I chose International Hotel. I was not disappointed and was very happy with my choice.The hotel is very close to everything you need and may want from a vacation, the staff is lovely and very helful,everything is very clean, breakfast is delicious.

Hotel is great "basic", nothing too fancy, but just what you need for a cosy budget trip (really great price quality ratio). And super great staff! And location, location, location... You can see the ocean where Elli's beach ends and where the harbour starts, on your left, when you leave the hotel. From your right side you can get to more middle'ish to Elli (walk left side of the Casino) And handy supermarkets on the way, in both sides. Take Amerikis or Politechniou (full of shops too) to the central of the town (5-10mins) or to the Old Town via harbour, you get to the Liberty gate and via Politechniou you get to the Amboise gate. Been here 3 vacations and easiest place to stay.

Excellent choice for a budget stay, rooms are clean with a balcony, and staff are very polite and helpful, they will make you feel as you are at your home. Location is excellent, just a few minutes from the beach, and there is great variety of restaurants, pubs, cafes and fast food joints around. Breakfast is what you can expect from continental one, nothing is lacking and you can also make fresh salad every morning with feta cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers and olives. Overall, very pleasant stay for a holiday at the seaside.

The hotel is in a really nice location everything is in walking distance and if you would like to rent a car or motorcycle there nearby some places you can rent. The rooms were clean and the staff was polite they even gave us a better room because it was free. We had breakfast but I would give 0 stars at it was just some sweets it needed to have a variety like fruits and other healthy things. The air conditioning in our room was great we had a cold room in just a few minutes.
